(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best hunting camouflage accessories

I guess I do. :) I was wearing these Foreverlast ones. They go up to your knees. They are pretty hot but I'm definitely going to keep wearing them. I'm thinking about some snake boots but I'm not sure if they'd be even hotter or not.

For what it's worth, I camo wrapped my gun for $30 and about 75minutes of my time. It came out pretty nice and my hunting buddies have ordered their own wrap for me to do their guns as well

Here's what I wear in sub-30 weather starting from the bottom:

Wool socks, sandwich bag over each sock (put it on under the shoe and then tie the top of the bag so it doesn't hit your chain), thermal bottoms, pants, tshirt or thermal top, light sweater or flannel, shell jacket (ie something to keep moisture off of you, heat contained, and serve as a wind brake - don't bother with anything heavy unless it's around 0f), shell mittens and nothing else on my hands, buff around my neck, buff over my head covering ears and skull, bike helmet.

I biked to work this morning at 7am with that outfit and felt fine the whole ride. Even showed up slightly sweaty.

When the temperature dips under 20f I'll add liner gloves under the mittens, a scarf, and a hat with ear protection.

• Underarmor down to 30s, long underwear below that.
  
  
• Cotton socks under wool socks (arguably bad, some say to use nylon socks under wool instead, depends on area of the country and how much you walk)
  
  
• T-shirt or long sleeve cotton shirt over the long underwear shirt so that I can remove clothing during hotter days and be comfortable climbing mountains.
  
• Sweater on really cold days (20s).
  
• Light zip-up jacket
  
• Winter jacket with hood
  
• Gloves + extra gloves in ziplock bags to keep water out.
  
• Jeans or Carharts
  
• Wool or wool-like synthetic snow pants
  
• Wool stocking cap
  
• Scarf (I recommend an army-style mesh scarf).
  
  I hunt in Washington so when it rains none of this stuff works. It could be 50 degrees but your hands feel like ice and you're shivering all over. On cold days it gets down to 20 degrees, snowy days are around 30 degrees. Most days start at 30+ and end up around 50+.

It blocks off the sun when it peeks through the side of your EZ up while letting the wind still go through (no flying tarps). We also bought a bunch of misters and battery powered fans.

I'd really recommend testing out that poncho if you haven't already. I bought several $4.99 ponchos at the store for the same reason and they were a total waste of money. For example, one in my trunk of my car melted together, all of them weren't even water proof.

I'm fairly happy with the Colemen PVC poncho.

Why not wrap it? a bit pricier, but the end results can be awesome. if you end up not liking it or wanting something different in the future, you can peel it off, no solvents required.

  Pretty happy with how it's all working. The BAR-10 is working pretty well for how little I've spent on it (About $250 before attachments) and has pretty perfect airseal.

It's a stretchy, self-adhesive tape. Pretty neat but I think it would melt onto the can if I was shooting a lot. Only needs to withstand one shot, maybe two for my purposes though.

Seems like you'll just have to get something like this and carry it in, find a way to bungee or put your blind in your back pack and hold the bow.

I have a solid color bow and use this when out hunting.

I use a Coolmax Buff which is UV protective. I can adapt it to how the weather is and how I'm feeling, and that suits me.

You can find this a lot cheaper on Amazon. The tape isn't sticky on other things, it clings to itself. So it shouldn't leave any residue.

I don't know what the definition of 'break the bank' is for you, and being a RUSFOR player (and owner of one of these) I figured I'd kinda just leave this here. 11 color options, will take time to come from Russia. u/ZutaTheFox could probably get you one cheaper, too.

It's pretty bad, most people I know with wear these kinds of things to their desk jobs downtown. I'd invest in a pair if I were you.

Here is where I originally got it, but here it's available. Turns out getting a rifle Ceraokoted is way more expensive than I had imagined, so the tape was a reasonable compromise and has held up for several months without issue (no rust underneath, no peeling, etc).
