I can't give too great a reference. This book is on my wishlist, as I've not read it, after all. It's supposed to be really funny though, with an interesting story. The downside is that getting the whole series is too expensive.

A bit of a different item than normal. When the zombies attack, we're going to need to be well rested. Baseball bats and the like are common enough, but a good pillow is hard to find.

In my home country it's about $550. The why is mostly Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV - both series which I've gained a lot of enjoyment from. There's also that some of my favorite series such as Disgaea are Playstation-exclusive.

I bought the last one but it looks like they are back(for $3 more). Still, the shipping is free and was well packed in bubble wrap and the stone nicely polished. It definitely has a good side. These were flattering pics but it is clearly imperfect and not quite worthy of making tile, jewelry or whatnot. I think it was a great paperweight and conversation piece for the money.

Cheap is my budget too, so I feel ya!

Ok, if you're feeling DIY, you could do buy some cauldrons and make some flowers out of plastic bottles or netting and tea lights and spray paint them to match your theme.

Another DIY project could be painted mason jars with tea lights inside, or with some of the DIY flowers from above inside.

Want to start by saying I'm definitely no shroom-growing genius yet. This is just my current setup, and a bleg for comments/ideas.

I'm just growing for myself. My brother died 1.5 years ago, and I've subsequently started microdosing shrooms, which turns out to be an absolutely fantastic antidepressant. So I'm more interested in "cheap, consistent, and reliable" than I am trying to churn out a kilo a week.

My setup is:

• A 4-tier greenhouse
  
  
• A Vicks cold humidifier on the bottom shelf
  
  
• A water fountain mist maker on the top shelf, inside a random bowl from my cupboard
  
  
• Two fans in the tent to help circulate air One is at top blowing down, the other is at bottom on the other side of the tent blowing up
  
  
• A humidity controller (the humidifier and mister are plugged into it) to help keep humidity in the right zone
  
  
• A Raspberry Pi 3 with Sense Hat so I can log temperature and humidity and log into it from work to check
  
  
• The tent is sitting on an upside-down lid from the largest tote I could find at Lowes. This allows air circulation under the skirt of the greenhouse, and helps capture any water drips to ensure I don't get water elsewhere in the room.
  
  
• Two plastic totes from Costco (sorry, can't find a link), with holes drilled in and filled with polyfill, similar to this.
  
  
• A 20 W night light bulb on a 12 hour timer on the top shelf.
  
  According to the Raspberry Pi, the average temperature in the room is 62 F, with a bimodal distribution (my girlfriend loves AC...). It's 65 F when I'm here alone, and 60 F whenever she's here. Humidity varies between 65% and 75%, though I'm still working on it. It's rather hard to boost temperatures in that particular basement room.
  
  The shrooms are growing very slowly. They started pinning 3-ish weeks ago, and still don't look anything like the giant mushrooms I see posted here regularly. My "biggest yielding" tub currently looks like this. No giant shrooms, and rather sparse inside. Furthermore, a large percentage of the shrooms have been there long enough that the caps have turned black. The other tub has a few tiny pins but no growth yet.
  
  So what do I need to be doing differently in order to improve my growth/yield? And are those black cap shrooms still good? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
  
  Things I've already learned this round:
  
  
• Paint the bottom of your totes black or cover them with tape to prevent light from getting in. My totes don't have many shrooms as-is, but right now 2/3's of them are "side-dicks" that are impossible to get to.
  
  
• Regularly rotate totes between shelves, as well as rotating them around on the same shelf, to ensure reasonably equal amounts of sunlight and air.
  
  
• Even with a humidifier and a mister, it's hard to keep humidity in the zone. Use a squeeze bottle to mist totes every day.

I honestly just got plants at Home Depot (indoor plants) that wouldn't grow any larger. They usually keep them inside near the garden area. If you want really nice plants i recommend you check Josh's Frogs. Depending on your set up make sure to get the right size plants.

The water area is something I add for both humidity and for the skink to swim in. I got plexiglass from my local hardware store and got (silicone sealant waterproof clear) to seal the edges, this separates the water from the land. I should mention it is deep enough. I did add a mist maker fogger water fountain in the water, wire runs through the backside of the tank making its way to the top of the tank then out. The lighting comes from the mist maker.

As far as advise on this setup... water plants everyday and keep humidity high with fahrenheit 70-78. Adding moss helps. Make sure to take your time on the setup make sure everything fits and nothing spill. As well as waiting a few days after setup is done to order red eye skink.

REMINDER: Skinks are very shy make sure to add lots of hide or plants so it won't starve itself.

I'd love to describe it! Generally I use the same design as I've found it works best for what I've grown in the past (cannabis, tomato, basil, peas, bell pepper, lettuce) which is an adaptation of most "aero-bucket" designs. For mine it's very simple, food grade bucket (preferably black to limit algal growth, though I've never had issues with this before) and an inexpensive pond fogger. The pond fogger works awesome at vaporizing the water and I've found nutrient penetration to the roots is much more effective than a direct spray method. The fogger can be a little finnicky given it needs a semi exact water level to work well but if your bucket is sealed (food grade buckets use a great gasket for sealing) you'll be fine as the solution vapor will remain in the bucket with minimal losses. Ive also used a plastic pot upside-down to raise the fogger and allow me to fill more nutrient solution into the bucket. Links for my parts below!

As /u/Fawkestrot15 mentioned, intent is important.

So the first place to start is with yourself/Her, you need to center yourself mentally and emotionally so the best thing would be to get everything prepared then do something relaxing to get in the correct frame of mind like take a bath or a relaxing shower to be cleansed both mentally and physically.

I, personally, would smudge the house then close the entrances to negative energy by drawing a protective circle around your home with salt (any salt is fine). Just pour a thin line of salt around your home as you imagine a wall of white light coming up from the salt. Make sure you close the line so it is a solid line of salt. It doesn’t have to be thick and it is ok that the salt will dissolve later. It is the process of doing this in the beginning. The point is to make a mental dome of white energy that covers your space.

Another thing you can do is to make up a bunch of little protection bags and place one over each entrance to your home (windows too) I add some herbs to my bags also because they help and smell nice too.

Bottom line though is, you have mentally cleansed your space from negativity by going through this Ritual and then (by placing the bags) given yourself reminders that you have cleansed your space.

So, by all Intent if not in actuality, you have rid your living space of whatever has been bothering you.

When I meditate, I usually choose two of the same crystal, and clutch one (not too tightly) in each hand. I know they work, because I go numb in my hands first, then arms, and eventually the rest of my body.

They are kind of the same product but on a different scale. The reptifogger is essentially a large ultrasonic humidifier that will produce mist and greatly increase the humidity in your tank. The mist king system is a diaphragm pump that pushes water out of high pressure mister that creates more of a rain effect.

A small ultrasonic mister could be purchased instead and set just under the surface of the water in your tank to create the aesthetic fog you are looking for and save you a decent chunk of change. This is what I am going to use in mine to make fog on the water

I feel pretty confident in buying from Amazon. Avoid eBay like the plague.

you could try to put one of these in the water bowl. They might even make one without led lights. I have one and it works great I think I'm going to put it in my BCI enclosure to get a little more humidity in there (mine sits around 50% but id like it to be 60%-70%). Also you could try cutting some acrylic to size like I did, or a larger water bowl on top of a heat mat.

I'm going to assume no. I looked at some aquarium pumps as well because they specifically stated that they would work in salt water applications. But after mixing the 10% solution it wasn't thick at all and I imagine most of parts in this unit are plastic, so they won't have corrosion issues. It might be a good idea to flush it with fresh water after use anyway. But I'll test it out this weekend and maybe make a post about it.

EDIT: This one says its good for salt water, and it does 200 GPH. More money though.

These ultrasonic mist makers are typically used in decorative fountains to give that 'fog' effect but they're actually really effective humidifiers. You can get bigger ones that really put out a ton of fog.

They are commonly used in large warehouses where controlling humidity is important, and for waterless hydroponic growing systems.

Very quiet, stick it in a bucket of water, just a light bubbling/gurgling sound.

You can find little water-based foggers for a few bucks in many places.

That's just a simple Amazon search for "water mist". You put them in a little pot of water and plug them in and they use high-frequency sonic pulses to make fog. They aren't anywhere as efficient as "Halloween fog maker" type things but they do the job for small jobs.

edit: I have a little USB one my daughter bought me because she knows I like cute little gadgets. Perhaps I will try to get it set up and take a few photos this weekend. Don't hold me to it....

If you have enough room in your box, put a large plastic cup in the middle and put a small ultrasonic fog machine in it. Put that fogger on a timer to run about 20 seconds every couple hours or whatever. While you're at it, hook a small fan up to run around the same time to pull in some fresh air. An arduino nano is perfect for this.

I was where you were about 2 years ago.

1. I found a free refrigerator and spent around $90 to buy all of the stuff to build my own Frankencurebox. I suggest buying a Mist Maker Fogger instead of a humidifier (less money and less space) and I use a tiny ceramic heater instead of a dehumidifier which kicks on the refrigerator to cool and dehumidifier. I eventually plan on building my own dehumidifier. Only time I've had a problem was when I loaded my box and the meat was giving off more humidity that my dehumidification could handle.
   
2. I would start with dry cured sausages. Most people here trust the Ruhlman recipes/books when starting. They are faster to finish and less money if you mess up. Go to a butcher and ask for pork or beef grind. It's the scraps they eventually turn into ground. A whole muscle cure like loma is going to take you 50+ days to finish. A dry cured sausage like pepperoni is only going to take 15-20. Much faster cycles to practice and test.
   
3. Nitrites/Nitrates are necessary and not dangerous if used properly. The big Nitrates scare of the 1980s was caused by a bacon shortage. Bacon producers over nitrated to speed up bacon production. Nitrates cooked at high temperatures release carcinogens. So because bacon producers were using too much nitrate to cure, there was some left over when the bacon was cooked which released carcinogens.

So I use a old fashioned incandescent light bulb A19 these put out a good deal of dafe visible light, no UV and heat as a gentile warming gradient.

Of course natural sunlight is the best.
But since you are up there in the NE and it's going to be COLD and dark you can't provide that to it for a few months.

So... you can get a few 100watt lights here that should take care of it. put that into a 10" reflective dome and you'll have both light and a nice heat gradient for it to move in and out of.

wow, well do what you can, I'm sure it's not zero inside the home. Usually someone cooking will raise the ambient humidity a few points.

If worse comes to worse you can have a bedroom with everything in it and keep that warmer and with higher humidity than the rest of the home.

The problem with spraying and such is that it can get into the eyes and cause problems (infections)

What if you bought some amethyst specimens to place around the cake (and/or on it, if you find small ones)? Sometimes amethyst is cheaper than you'd think.

Making rock candy sounds fun, though. I think it can take a while, might want to check on it to make sure you start early enough.

Although the reviews are mediocre, if you have the thing in a tub of water near the plant, it'll definitely do the trick. Kept my 3 x 5 x 8 foot hut at a constant humidity of 33 or higher and raised the humidity near my plant up to 65. Turns on and off automatically depending on if its submerged in water or not, and if you have an electric timer with a small water pump, you're set.

It works by atomizing water, so the fog effect is just a very fine mist. It's fine enough that for short runs there's hardly any residue, but running it for a while leaves the tiles slightly damp.

Not all humidifiers produce a mist. What you want is an ultrasonic atomizer.

Literally vegetable glycerin. I'd maybe get from a vape place though... not sure how pure your average kind is and whether it'd smell bad. Check nudenicotine.com for cheap definitely-vapable VG. Get 100% VG zero mg/ml nicotine.

As for vaping hardware... it's literally just a spool of wire wrapped around cotton soaking it up with power. But this might not be something you want to build yourself because something shitty has the real risk of blowing up the battery if you just leave it on. You could get a super cheap vape or something, and have it stay on? They're not really meant for that though. Or maybe something like this which is meant to stay on, then just leave VG in it.

Though dry ice might be the easiest set up of all. Depends if you want to be able to turn it on and off I guess.
