I ordered a couple from gap recently.. they haven't come in yet though. This thinner cotton one and this sherpa lined one.

If you're looking for a heavier bomber, check out this Alpha industries Ma-1. It's slim fit, but the n3b parka I bought from alpha was also labelled slim fit, but fit perfect when I sized down one. The stencilling on this one might turn some off though.

That said, there are tons of options out there for bombers so check out stores like asos, h&m, gap, etc. for more frugal options.

I've had a Member's Only Racer Jacket I bought at ~$65 for 7 years now that is still in great shape. Not for the most formal of offices, but depending on the workplace, it'll fit right in.

It's fully lined with a thin synthetic layer of fabric to create a pocket of air between you and the outer layer so it is surprisingly warm for the weight/packabilty. It's my go-to "throw in a bag or backpack without thinking about it" jacket.

*I should add that I wore this in gray for a year in a bizz casual office job with chinos/slacks, button downs, and oxfords.

I'm looking for a white mid heavy jacket I can wear until winter gets too cold around here. Id like a recommendation under $100. A couple styles have caught my eye, like here and [here] (https://www.amazon.com/PUMA-Mens-Evo-Jacket/dp/B06WGPFMXN/ref=pd_d0_recs_v2_cwb_200_7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=C62MWSTVE1DJSPNAMGQR) , but I would like a somewhat familiar or reliable brand. Bonus points if its prime eligible. Thanks!

Yeah I used to say the same thing but after putting in effort it goes a long way. Like change your hairstyle, get a tattoo, or even just wear different clothes that aren't too obvious of "look at me."

I've had some recent success wearing an 80s type of jacket thing when going out and I was getting compliments and girls would start conversations and stuff. Just being at least somewhat unique is a huge plus.

Edit: This is the jacket that I have.

I have a few questions about jackets:

  1. Does anyone know how the alpha industries M-59 fishtail fits? I'm usually a Medium in men's but the fit looks kind of boxy in pictures I've seen. Other black fishtail parka suggestions are welcome.

  2. Looking for a rain jacket/something waterproof but I don't like Rains or Patagonia Torrentshell.

  3. Looking for a black varsity jacket with black leather sleeves. Found this and this but the quality is obviously cheap. I'm looking for something with a slightly better quality but I'm not spending $300 on a varsity jacket. Suggestions welcome.

Sure thing, here it is. I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet because I'm put off by the orange insides, but I hope you enjoy yours! :)

Hi. I've been looking for a casual jacket for some time now- mostly for casual outings when you don't want to dress to up or too down. And the one Jason Bateman's character wears in season 2 of Ozark seems just perfect.

Looking on Amazon the closest thing I could find are 'Golf Jackets', which look similar but I have no idea if it's the same style or material. The one in the photo seems to be made of wool or cotton blend and not nylon like most Golf Jackets.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hoping that someone could give me some help on a light spring/fall jacket, pseudo military inspired. I've found these two jackets online which somewhat fit what I'm looking for- (the Prana jacket would be great if it wasn't insulated).

I just bought this jacket but it is sold out in medium right now.

It's a darker color than what you want but pretty similar and close to $60. Pretty good everyday jacket, not suitable for a winter by any means.

Does anyone know where I can find a cool looking shirt jacket like this but better quality? I would like something made with good material that has a hood.

For my carry-on luggage I use the Nomatic Travel Pack packed with about 4-5 sets of clothes.

And have an empty Swiss Gear sling backpack https://www.swissgear.com/travel-accessories/small-bags/swissgear-2613-heather-monosling-gray-heather-black in the laptop compartment of the travel pack. I use the sling bag as a daypack when I'm at my travel destination and its great. The whole time I front carried the bag and it held all my important items so I didn't have to put anything in my pants pockets.

I also carry a Targus laptop bag https://www.amazon.com/Targus-Traditional-Notepac-15-4-Inch-Laptops/dp/B00020E4LE/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2FZLM6N162ZDJ&keywords=targus+laptop+bag&qid=1556249877&s=gateway&sprefix=targus+lapt%2Caps%2C223&sr=8-10 as my official personal bag which holds my 15.6in gaming laptop, my upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e tablet, charging cables, 8bitdo SN30 Pro controller (awesome awesome small portable controller that works with emulators, steam, Switch, etc. highly recommended!)

And when I'm checking in at the airport, going through security and connecting between flights I also use a Scottevest Windbreaker jacket with 19-pockets https://www.amazon.com/SCOTTeVEST-Pack-Windbreaker-19-Pockets/dp/B07JB44CZ5/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=windbreaker+scottevest&qid=1556250097&s=gateway&sr=8-2 as my sneaky second unofficial personal bag which holds all my travel essentials like: wallet, passport, phone, earbuds, power bank, sunglasses, eye-drops, chap-stick, breathmints, deodorant and baby wipes.

Been thinking about getting a denim jacket but there seems to be so many types levis has. Would the below linked one be a good choice even though its not commuter or slim fit? Also, what would be an ideal color?

Amazon's brand Goodthreads has a decent jacket for around 50 dollars. I'm fairly slim so it's a little boxy on me, but the quality is pretty nice and overall it looks good.

Levi's makes loads of different colors and washes for their jeans and jackets, and frequently a lot of them are only around for a few months before being replaced with something similar. As /u/mcadamsandwich said, it could be vintage, or it could also just be an out-of-production wash. Your best bet is probably finding something similar.

It's worth noting also that Levi's makes different lines and washes for different vendors. Amazon, for instance, has a number of unique colors.

I also wouldn't worry too much about 'stiff and thick'. The jacket in your photo looks like pretty much every denim jacket I've ever seen - none are particularly stiff (except genuine raw denim) and they'll all soften and fade with wear.

I've got a small handful today.

First and foremost, I've kind of been wanting a black varsity jacket for some monochrome fits. Almost pulled the trigger on this yesterday, but then I stumbled upon this. $40 for one is really nice but it makes me worried about the quality. Thoughts?

Then I've been wanting an Everlane rucksack for travel (my other big hobby) and just everyday use. Anyone have experience with these?

For the above mentioned monochrome fits, I've been needing (wanting?) some black shoes that aren't canvas, specifically the Vans or Fred Perrys I have. How would these work?

And finally, I've been really wanting an elongated, uneven shirt for said fits. Voidthebrand makes some I really like. And while I am willing to spend that much on a t-shirt, they only have a size large in the one I linked which is my favorite. I'm normally between a medium-large on t-shirts, but these are already oversized, so I'm almost certain a large would be too big. I'm just not sure when they restock, and how hard it would be to cop one in a medium when they do restock. So, basically, should I risk a large in this? If not, anyone know of any similar shirts for a similar price? Cheaper would be nice too.

Not raw, but their 14.75oz prewashed fabric. It's substantial, a cool natural indigo color, unsinged, broken twill, and sometimes found for as little as $27 on Amazon. It's also a traditional type III fit (a short cut), AND has pockets inside and outside.

I was originally looking at more expensive denim jackets (with likely more expressive fabric), but I'm glad I didn't spend the money.

Hi!
This is so nice!

Thank you for what you do, midwives are amazing!

Last week, one of the special needs kids I fostered showed up on my doorstep. He's aged out and had a really hard time this year. We immediately started trying to get things sorted, and I just got a call 5 minutes ago that he can still register for classes at the local community college.

I can't wait until he gets home to tell him!

This jacket would be great for him, it's his favorite colors and he can put pins/ patches on it.

I'm looking for a jacket like this and this.

  • I don't like the padding that the second one has, and I liked that the first one is just the quilt-y stuff all the way to the top.

  • I prefer the zipper pockets that you can rest your hands in on the second one over the button pockets in the first.

  • I also prefer the second ones quilt pattern.

  • I'm a slim fit so bulky jackets look like I'm wearing my dads clothes to school.

What am I looking for and where can I get it in silver?

I'm looking at buying a Member's Only racer jacket and its significantly cheaper on Amazon. I'm still am probally pulling the trigger, but does anybody know why its 35ish dollars less on Amazon than on the Members Only site?
