🎓 Reddit experts on mineral drinking water
The comments and opinions expressed on this page are written exclusively by redditors. To provide you with the most relevant data, we sourced opinions from the most knowledgeable Reddit users based the total number of upvotes and downvotes received across comments on subreddits where mineral drinking water are discussed. For your reference and for the sake of transparency, here are the specialists whose opinions mattered the most in our ranking.
Crest Whitening Strips
Apply it 1x or 2x a week to make it last longer instead of using it everyday, which could irritate your teeth and gums. The last time I used whitening strips was about 7 years ago. I drink coffee and soda almost everyday. As long as you maintain your dental hygiene, you'll keep the whiteness a lot longer.
Philips Sonicare toothbrush (or any other electric toothbrush)
Use at least twice a day. This will keep your teeth super clean, hence, whiter. I cannot go back to manual toothbrushes. It's amazing what a difference it does in cleaning your teeth. Do not skimp on your toothbrush if you want whiter teeth.
Sensodyne Toothpaste
Get sensitive toothpaste because whitening strips will make your teeth super sensitive. You don't have to get a whitening toothpaste. Those just use more abrasive ingredients, which doesn't necessarily make teeth noticeably whiter.
Water and Gum
Always try to rinse water after every sip of a drink and bite of food. If water isn't available, drink your beverages through a straw and/or chew a sugar-free gum. It doesn't need to be whitening gum - plus gum is just good to have around because many people don't realize they have unpleasant breath.
Floss
Every night. I did this for 6 months straight (I normally flossed infrequently — like once or twice a week) and had a perfect dental checkup after flossing everyday. The dental hygienist didn't even need to scrap off any plaque. This also helps make the sides/gaps between teeth whiter.
Listerine Mouthwash
Use weekly or as needed. I doesn't have to be whitening mouthwash. Do not use it everyday because it will create an imbalance of good bacteria and saliva which is essential for a healthy mouth.
Oh, and get a tan :)

As someone who's tuned into deal sites: Yes, to some degree. But there's still plenty of good deals to be had. Especially when things don't go as planned. Don't you remember last year's Xbox One debacle? We're talking a free xbox one, and possibly additional credit, on top of extra controllers and games.
I also apparently got 24 bottles of VOSS Norwegian water this year for $3, and that stuff is supposed fancy or something. Ordered that for giggles.
Someone else got a Mini Segway for $160 iirc.
I nabbed one of their Big & Tall (up to 350lb) Office Chairs for $100, which isn't bad.
As for Prime Pantry? For some reason I keep getting a Fresh Credit of $6, no idea why, and that stacks with the $10 off $60 credit, so I can find some choice pantry items that are decently priced and get $16 off, and stack it with free shipping. And that's on top of the 5% off with my Amazon Store Card. I did four full orders, and my mail person hates me now.
Prime Day is not Black Friday. Black Friday is a day of both Purchases of Opportunity and Planned Purchases, due to general price cuts on everything (To some degree... Cyber Monday and beyond is where it's at currently at based off last year). Prime Day is only Purchases of Opportunity, as the thing you've wanted probably won't go on sale, but chances are if you check the deal sites enough you'll find things that you'll buy anyway because they're cheap enough.
Sidenote: This is what you guys should being paying attention to: Lowe's 10% off, which stacks with 10% Self-generated coupon codes (see top comment), which stacks with 7.5% cashback through ebates.
Yea, but if you look at the production of paper goods. The by-products aren't good either. People should just carry refillable bottles in their car, workplace, home, vacations...it might be inconvenient but it's better than the alternative.
I understand we will still need pre-packaged water sources for various reasons. When I said trend that hopefully passes, I was mostly referring to the idea that people get so caught up in which brand is better, cooler, edgier, when all a person has to do is turn on the faucet. This water is on Amazon for $30 for a 12 count of 500ml cartons. This is not the water that is going to save people in an emergency. This is for people who want to be different. If you care about the environment, turn on the faucet and donate $30 to a local environmental group.

Call me paranoid, but is there any chance that Flavored Sparkling Water has any hidden calories somehow, DESPITE saying 0 calories on the label?
Because of the awesome taste, I feel like there's no way this is actually 0 calories.
>Spending $2+ everyday is cheaper than buying a filter?
$2? Try more like a tenth that, without even shopping around much. http://www.amazon.com/Pure-Life-Purified-16-9-ounce-plastic/dp/B00NP79AI8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451002849&sr=1-2&keywords=bottled+water .
And yes, filtering can get QUITE expensive, especially amortized over only a year or two. Can it be cheap? Sure. But with that comes a lot less convenience. And people trade price for convenience all the time; for instance, do you bake your own bread? It's way cheaper to bake your own than to buy.
Most are low-quality crinkly type, but some are actually quite good and suitable for refill. I can confirm the following two are good-quality, using nice thick but still flexible plastic:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SAX0NZ6
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D8LQVZQ
I use these when driving and traveling.
You could just drink glacier water
I used to know the owners of that company. They were assholes, but their water is pretty great
You should get a hydro flask instead of reusing a plastic bottle, which breaks down and leaks into the water over time. That's why water bottles have expiration dates: the plastic breaks down and contaminates the water.
edit: looks like you all have never seen this bottle in stores. Yes, VOSS comes in plastic. Seems like the sparkling water is the one that comes in glass.
Furoshiki is use to make a bag on the spot for anything you deem useful for your bag. For food, you'll need to read "98.6 degrees for keeping your ass alive" the author makes great notes on food that are exposed to extreme heat. For water something like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/CGW12514DEP-Crystal-Geyser-Alpine-Spring/dp/B004JKNZZY)
I am going to call BS on this. When any store sells a bottle of water for 1.78 they did not buy it marked for individual sale. They buy by the case and that case costs them like $10. There is a huge markup on beverages like this. They could sell these for case prices instead of as though they were individual bottles. For reference Amazon sells this case for $22. So this is literally double that cost.
I see no reason to do so. I feel like a lot of the outrage stems from jealousy of how a company can make money off selling water and taxing it on that basis is silly.
Bottled Water Extraction:
Either way, individual industries should not be taxed arbitrarily just because they operate profitable industries.
Also other general critisisms.
>They go on to sell each bottle of water at prices that range from $.50 a bottle to upwards of $9 a bottle at entertainment venues such as concerts and sporting events.
Im pretty sure nestle doesn't sell those bottles for 9$. The author seems to be implying that insane sport stadium markups are nestles fault and nestly somehow profits from this.
>Hypothetically speaking, if Nestle sells each bottle of water for say, $2.00, they turn an immediate revenue of $3,381,400 before production expenses, just off packaging a million litres of water
First this fails to make clear that revenue doesnt equal profit. Second Nestle doesn't sell a bottle of water for nearly 2$, The corner store might, but not nestle itself. Its like the author doesnt understand the supply chain.
FWIW according to Amazon Nestle would sell each bottle for at maximum 84 cents.
>permits alone that allow them to drill a staggering 12 million litres of water every day.
12 million litres sounds big, but in the grand scheme of water flow its really freaking small. Furthermore, author assumes that the maximum water draw allowed by the permits is the actual water draw, plants could be drawing a fraction of this.
>According to 2015 water rate statistics provided by the City of Toronto, the average Ontario water consumer pays about $3624/million litres of water consumed, as opposed to the $3.71 paid by Nestle, almost a 1000X markup for Ontario citizens.
Author conflates raw well water with treated, processed, piped city water. Turns out Torontonians can go down to the lake and run a pipe from it too for free(ish)

7 bucks, same statement.
Now, sometimes water is on sale. In which case, its better to buy the water. But what I'm saying is that water is not always the cheapest option. Choice and flexibility is needed.

Those amenities will only cost one like $10/month or less. My gosh are you that cheap? Once can get 8 bottles of Dasani water for $2.98 per 8 which typically last me 2 weeks, though I order 4 at a time and two big bags of Lifesaver, which will last one for like 5 months for $15.
Here ya go.

15 dollars worth of cheap water bottles. So that's like 96 of these babies. https://www.amazon.com/Nestle-Pure-Life-Purified-Water/dp/B00COR1HHW
I am offering a pack of water to a pack of water comparison. I am also offering home depot pricing to home depot pricing. Sorry you couldn't see that.
Unless of course you can provide objective evidence that Dasani water is vastly different than Niagara water and deserves the greater price since it truly is a apples to oranges comparison.
It has been my experience and yours may be different but essentially all bottled water is the same.
Edit: But hey Amazon has Dasani available by the 24 pack. Pricing is also different than what is pictured.
https://www.amazon.com/DASANI-water-16-9-24-Count/dp/B000T9SZOU/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1504043652&sr=8-1&keywords=dasani+water+24+pack
You could probably put in a brand new in-ground pool for that price.
EDIT: Let's say the pool holds around 5,000 gallons, a pretty conservative number for a DIY above ground pool. Each bottle of water of, let's go with Fiji, is going to cost around $1.33 per 16.9 oz. bottle. There are 640,000 fl. oz. in 5,000 Gallons. Therefore, you would need 37870 bottles to fill up the pool. At $1.33 per bottle this is $50,367.10. According to this website, most in ground pools will run you from $25,000-$50,000, so you could buy a high-end pool with the amount of money it would take to fill that dingy pool with Fiji.
Happy, heavy water is non-toxic, so you actually can drink that.
Unfortunately, it's also rather expensive; 1 liter costs $1,165. Since bottled spring water costs around $1.08 per liter, heavy water is about 107,870.37% percent more expensive than Evian. Totally worth it for non-floating ice cubes.
No self respecting major retailer would shell out 35 dollars for 24 bottles of water. Don't be daft.
It's $14 bucks for a 24 pack on Amazon. I don't know why people think it's expensive.

It’s tastes really good and better for the environment than plastic.
$37 for the smart water on amazon.
$19.99 for the evian.
The guy is actually being a hydrohomie.

Congrats on quitting drinking! A whole new world opens up. I quit about a year ago. These bad boys are your friend
First thing I noticed besides the money savings and the weight reduction was that I no longer had to consider how I was getting to and from any event. Games, concerts, beach trips, festivals, dinner, anything.
No wasted days being hungover either. I think of drinking as borrowing happiness from the following day. You gotta pay that debt one way or another.
Good luck and go blue!
For anyone curious about the retail prices. THIS GUY IS SELLING THEM AT A LOSS, he's not trashy, he's a human bro trying to help

Sheesh, all you whiny babies. How about you check the Amazon price before you have self induced heart attacks about capitalism?
Spoiler for those too lazy: $37 and that’s JUST for the smart water.
Something like this and this is maybe what you're looking for, although u/dalekette mentioned he was on site earlier and they had a surplus of supplies. They may not be needing any more for now.
Well on Amazon it's 32 dollars so that's hardly "gouging". Fiji is one of the most expensive bottled waters there is.
please apply cold water to the burn area. https://www.amazon.com/Nestle-Pure-Purified-Bottled-Water/dp/B00COR1HHW
I'm not saying it's cheap but it says $19.99 on Amazon.

It’s a little more expensive than smart water, but this helps you murder.... link

> Oi?
Supposed to be one of the purist waters for purchase globally.

Going by the Amazon Page, that IS meant to be a selling point. And whoever's running their PR is putting their all into it (check the Q&A section).
A single case of Nestlé PureLife water (24 bottles)
I'd go on a road trip and drive an hour or so to stock up on water, where it isn't sold out, and place a few orders on amazon.
If only there were some website that people could order it from that's much cheaper:http://www.amazon.com/Arrowhead-Spring-Water-Count-16-9/dp/B000R5NRPI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407180026&sr=1-1&keywords=water
No it's not.
>f you dont think water won't sell at $3/gal, you're dreaming.
It's already selling for over twice that a gallon.
(assuming my math is right)
24 16.9oz bottles = 405.6oz
405.5/128 = 3.168 Gallons
3.16 * $7 = $22.18
(price of water $22.56)

Waton on Amazon has to be the most depressing thing I've seen this week.
No, this cheap ($28.49/24 bottles = $1.20 per bottle)
IDK... I can buy a 12-pack of Nestle bottled water on Amazon Prime for $2.07 right now.
I don't think Amazon is setting up radius circles of 200 miles to ship the water around. I think they just take your money and ship that shit from wherever.
I can buy a 24 pack of 16oz water bottles at a retail store for $4 on sale.
http://www.amazon.com/Arrowhead-Spring-Water-Count-16-9/dp/B000R5NRPI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408294151&sr=8-1&keywords=water
4000/24 = (approximately) 167 packs
167*4= $668 spent (maybe. I'm sure you can get them much cheaper buying bulk directly from the manufacturer)
The worst part is that those bottles are so tiny that they won't even be good for storage.
At the bottom of the article, they said Amazon contacted them and would be removing those listings. So I searched for "water" and literally the first item was a case of water for $28 and people complaining in the review section. Liars.
