Quite Interesting, if I won these [Mario Kart Racing Wheels] (http://www.amazon.com/Mario-Racing-Wii-Bundle-Packaging-Nintendo/dp/B001PO2BJI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1OUQ8B0KGTG86&coliid=I313L0WKUV824C) my fiance and I could have hours of fun playing Mario Kart!
Happy Early Birthday! Thanks for the contest! =D
Pi with a good wireless NES controller works great. If you can find an NES Classic (they are gonna be released again this year) you can get a wireless controller that is very close to an NES controller, of an extension cord for the included controller (you will need one, the cords are VERY short).
If you want to got he cartridge route, you can get an NES and the carts, and there are 3rd party NES systems too, but the carts might be hard to find.
I'd go with the NES classic along with a wireless controller or the extension cord. It looks like an (small) NES and works great. I have one with both an extension cord for the original controller and a wireless controller, and have had no issues.
Link to the NES controller I have for my NES Classic: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M34DLXD/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Link to the NES controller extension cord I have:
https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Controller-Extension-i-Kawachi-Nintendo/dp/B07114C4TL/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1520210657&sr=8-5&keywords=nes+classic+controller
I think both work great!
Yeah, I feel pretty confident in saying that the employees set consoles aside, which I guess I can't be that pissed about because I did it too once (but not on a super hot item like this, just on a game we only got a few copies of at the store).
It would be nice to get one of these, but I really just want the controllers, which are also sold out everywhere and going for $600 on Amazon.ca at the moment since I already have an awesome modded Wii that I've put a lot of time into and has way more than 30 NES games. I want that controller though for authentic feel. Oh well, I'll get my hands on one soon enough, it's just like amiibos.
And happy happy cake day!
Bonus: I prefer complete surprises.
I have the controller that came with the NES Classic, but I use the two original NES controllers I have had since I was a child with Hyperkin's converters (https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Controller-Classic-Nintendo-Entertainment-System/dp/B01N3LNI3Q) that work perfectly.
On a side note, I've yet to attempt to play or transfer Stadium Events/World Class Track Meet to the NES Classic in order to see if the Power Pad I own works or not. I'm actually not even sure if the Power Pad itself is in actual working condition, but if it in fact is and does work with these converters I'll be sure to let people know.
My son has a bunch of Amiibo figures, and they all seem to be fairly high quality. They aren't cheap flimsy plastic, they are plastic but well made. He also has a cool Amiibo display stand. They're like little plastic Nintendo toys he can play with and play games with.
This is the kit I originally ordered. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CUMNIV8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There are other cheaper kits, and for NES emulation, the kit I bought is a bit overkill. But I sprang for a slightly more expensive kit because I'm also using the Raspberry Pi for other things besides just an emulation box.
Best thing to do is just shop around. At minimum, you want a kit that comes with heatsinks, power supply, and a sturdy case. If you don't already have spare HDMI cables and an SD card, you'll want those as well, of course.
You'll also want controllers like these for NES emulation: https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Laptop-approx-Windows-Kernel-Classic/dp/B01N2YT0QT/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1492532678&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+nes+controller
If you search for "USB NES controllers" on Amazon, you'll find a good many of them available. Shop around and read the reviews, although I imagine most are similar to one another.
How crazy would it have been for Nintendo to just release all of the VC games via an account-tied one-use-only full game access in the VC store. I think overall, it would have been the better choice.
I'm not an economist, but I think Nintendo's bigger concern is selling consoles than adding additional profits to their 20 billion dollar war chest. Because of that, I think they should set up Smash 4 as a way to entice people to buy a console and join in on the Wii U stage (by throwing in a bunch of free 20 year old games) than dishing them out as demos and hoping to entice people, who have an internet connection, to buy a game with real money hoping they don't know what an online emulator is or that they could just have an NES mailed to their home for less than $16 bucks. http://www.amazon.com/Retro-Nintendo-Entertainment-System-Silver-Black/dp/B003VH5Z2C/ref=pd_cp_vg_1
I just think the VC games should have been given away to new copies of the game. The timed demo program their currently instituting should have been the standard for the VC store to begin with.
My pair was just delivered today, not very "classic", but it beats that tiny cable that the console comes with. And of course, Bluetooth is the bomb lol
Nyko MiniBoss Wireless Controller for NES Classic Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7YDB97/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_RApzybY27MHKY
> They currently sell the 2DS for $80.
Apples and oranges. A 2DS has a high potential for other purchases beyond the the device (further games, accessories, downloads). A Hypothetical miniGB would be one-and-done.
> TV hookups would be optional
Didn't you just say cost to build it wouldn't be an issue? Adding this feature to a device that already has a screen that is a one and done device would be quite a jump from that of an NES/SNES mini that has a single output.
> could be done through local wireless connectivity
Still saying cost to produce wouldn't be an issue? Already it sounds like way more than it's worth for nostalgia sake.
> I actually think the N64 Classic will be a harder sell because you'd need to buy at least two extra controllers
You mean no one would be willing to buy additional official nintendo controllers like these? Honestly, the N64 assuming it happens, can just as easily come with 2 controllers (which is plenty for a solid 64 experience). Hard sell? Really? Let's be honest. You (and everyone else on this forum) would buy 2 additional controllers without thinking twice, some would even buy 3 more... at least.
I'm still looking for an official short-cable Classic NES controller but in the meantime this has worked out far better for me. I still have my original NES, so I've been able to play using the same exact controller from over 30 years ago! Plus the cable is way longer.

It works just like your signing into your regular Amazon thank god (I don't speak Spanish and was able to order easily). Keep in mind your bank or credit card company may charge a foreign transaction fee.
Retropie is pretty easy to setup and looks nice. Just get a case, install retropie, hook up one of these controllers, and bam.
I bought the Classiq 2 HD for my HD for 70 bucks you can play nes and snes carts on a HD tv no Ghosting and in 720p. But only thing is The NES games sound ok and the SNES games have alittle softness to them but love it.Check this out
https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Video-Cable-Nintendo-Gamecube-64/dp/B002GCJOC0
It's not going to be the same quality of a Nintendo brand product, but it might do the trick, and for 7 bucks+shipping doesn't break the bank if you really want to play gamecube games again.
The reviews are hit or miss though, but I'm sure spare cables that won't break the bank are all over amazon or ebay.
This always looks great. Scales way better with 4" figures than amiibo http://www.amazon.com/POWER-amiibo-Level-Display-nintendo-3ds/dp/B00XJ5EOWI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462552696&sr=8-1&keywords=amiibo+display+end+level
Does anyone know if this will be compatible with the snes classic too? I already have an original nes30 gamepad that I would love to use.
The NES Retro Entertainent System will only set you back $15 if you have Amazon Prime. The controllers are shitty, but it should be good enough to test the games.
Edit that price just skyrocketed
Here's a link to the same item in a different color that is now around $17.
Retro Bit Nintendo NES Entertainment System (Silver/Black) by Retro Bit http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VH5Z2C/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_rSBKub113NV4G

And a neat NES/SNES/Genesis hybrid that they made
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Retron-System-GENESIS-Nintendo-Entertainment/dp/B003O3EFY2/ref=pd_cp_e_1
Edit - found the hybrid at a cheaper price
(Original - http://www.amazon.com/Retron-Genesis-Charcoal-Original-Controll/dp/B004L9B37U/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1334624004&sr=8-5)
I got an 8-bit Mario and one of these from my Reddit secret santa:
Power end level Display
What not expecting the stand since it came a few days after the amiibo. Was a really nice gift.
Getting this one. Seems pretty legit with a good amount of storage and cheap.
How about this? Is very cheap yes.
This one is also very nice and cheap and has space for the back of the joycons.
Retron hd is $32 on amazon now. Works great.
Hyperkin RetroN 1 HD Gaming Console for NES (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071DZJR1L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_nHJJAb4GMA2R1

I found blue yesterday. Everyone says yellow is rare but he is available on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IL7NDWQ/
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. $11.99. So is red, but blue is 3rd party only.

If you consider this official enough, you can use a third-party controller adapter with a real original NES controller, which seem to be pretty readily available on Ebay.
pretty sure the adapter is only around $16
8Bitdo Retro Receiver for NES Classic Edition (Bluetooth) - NES https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQWUT0Q
Just buy a Retro Duo off Amazon, yes these are legal.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_videogames?_encoding=UTF8&node=468642&field-brandtextbin=Retro%20Duo
Or:
http://www.amazon.com/Retro-Nintendo-Entertainment-System-Silver-Black/dp/B003VH5Z2C/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1311106240&sr=8-14
6.26 is the best i can do
The 8Bitdo Retro Receiver in the first link plugs right into the controller port. We use it with a Wii u Pro Contreller and a Sony Dualshock 4 (PS4). Work's great with the except that we have to sync it every use.
We also have a Wii Classic Controller (and an extension cable).
This one is probably your best bet
Edit: It's time for me to stop telling jokes in this sub
None of them. Instead, get a Retron HD console for your smart TV. If you insist on getting an original console, then also get a CRT TV which, by the way, are still cheap.
I highly recommend you buy this 3rd party console....The controllers it comes with suck so throw those away.....but it plays the old cartridges flawlessly and you can use your original controllers.

Buy a Nintendo refurbished Wii U for $200. Set it up for them while they're asleep, and they'll never know the difference!

I loved Pikmin back in the day. You can get plushies of them nowadays.
There are already extention cables available, like this one. It's still super lame to have to buy an extension for a controller.
Try the old skool classic 2 hd
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0766JQTFC/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It played all games I tried, fx chipped, dsp, castlevania 3 on nes. It also comes with a dogbone style nes controller and a snes style controller that actually work well.
They have them for $249! :)

I do like that case and almost went with it myself. I ending up choosing this one instead though due to personal preference. Can't go wrong with either one.
https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Hard-Shell-Carrying-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B01N13YIQJ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1486188606&sr=8-4&keywords=nintendo+switch+case
Amazon. I just looked up the order, It was $10.99 for 2 extension cables, both 13' long. There's plenty on Amazon that come with either 1 or 2 cords if you do or don't need both. I think there was a listing for $9.99 for two that are 10' long each, but the extra dollar was worth another 3'.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07114C4TL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_4xPPgp6LZX4hZ
Amazon also has gamecube A/V cables - link: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Gamecube-Super-Snes-N64-64/dp/B002GCJOC0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312515261&sr=8-1
EDIT: So you could get someone with a credit card to buy one for you and pay them back.
I preordered this one
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N13YIQJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks good enough and it's only $10
Right Here Good Sir
Easy fix: https://amzn.com/B01M4QC20Y
Could you PLEASE stop buying original Nintendo controllers and tearing them apart? Just buy third party controllers, and use those. As a classic gamer, it kills me that all of these classic controllers that are no longer in production are being torn apart. There are a finite number of NES Nintendo controllers. Why can't you just use third party ones instead for your ecigs that cost $30 to make and 20 minutes to put together that you're making $100 profits on. It's probably cheaper to buy these other controllers. Just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UCF9TA here you go.
I'm satisfied with these.
https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Controller-Extension-i-Kawachi-Nintendo/dp/B07114C4TL/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1539136329&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=snes+extension+cable+2+pack&dpPl=1&dpID=51P9OIyhGSL&ref=plSrch
Nice, that means I can use my 8bitdo NES Classic dongle with it.
Try and pick up a nes classic controller to go with it as they were sold separately and will be a nice extra if you add nes Games later and he wanted to use the NES controller.

I've made a couple of NES portables in my life time. I would recommend using a Retron NES Clone system. Check out my article here: https://kamselectronics.com/2019/01/22/nes-portable-v2/ . The Retron Clone can be bought here: https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-RetroN-Console-Nintendo-Entertainment-System/dp/B000MFHH6I
If you have any questions let me know!
Yes it does: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Entertainment-System-NES-Classic/dp/B01JT77EDK?ie=UTF8&qid=1469654423&ref=spkl_1_0_2558842702&th=1
I have actually since it's my preferred NES controller and I use it to play Arcade Archives and NES games on my Switch. I've done it two different ways:

You plug your NES Controller into the adaptor on the Wii remote and you can use it that way. It's not really laggy or anything, but you do need a Wii remote to do it this way.

OR

So I spent quite a while on this for myself last year, and after a bit of searching, my conclusion was that the best experience will be to buy these three things together:
8BitDo's DIY line are fantastic, and as best I can tell are the only way to get an original form factor wireless controller for the NES.
Nintendo also sell modern wireless NES controllers, but they have extra buttons and rails for connecting to the Switch, which I think ruins the look.
8BitDo also sell the n30, but those aren't styled like the NES controller and have extra buttons.
This looks just like the receiver for the Nyko Miniboss Bluetooth controller. Any idea if I could get that to do the same thing?
Yeah that's what I mean - all I want is the controller for my Wii.
I'm going with the case that comes in the Zelda SE as it seems to strike a good balance between size and features.
There are a lot of officially licensed cases that are functionally similar to the Shiekah slate one, just themed differently on the outside:
https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Hard-Shell-Carrying-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B01N13YIQJ/
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MY9JB2U/
If I couldn't get the Zelda SE one I'd probably be getting one of the Zelda RDS ones.
Also Amazon Spain, which ships to Canada and I assume the US:
https://www.amazon.es/Nintendo-NES-Consola-Classic-Mini/dp/B01IFJEWTM/

EDIT: also Amazon Germany:
https://www.amazon.de/Nintendo-Classic-Mini-Entertainment-System/dp/B01IFJEWTM/
https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-NES-Controller/dp/B01JT77EDK/
Here you go. It looked identical to the original NES controller listing.
Well the original controllers may be finite, but there are companies that still manufacture replacement controllers. They are not branded with Nintendo logos, but are basically the same thing.
I got one of these extention cables.
https://www.amazon.com/My-Arcade-Extender-Cable-Gamepad-Classic/dp/B01M4QC20Y/ref=pd_sbs_63_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=M2X8RDYVFE6ZS5A5Z9YE
It's expensive for what it is, but it makes playing on the couch so much easier.
To everyone looking to Amazon for pre-orders/early release, what's being sold might not be the actual console. Check the Edition and Description before buying it.
$300 NES Classic Controller, it comes up as the default product when looking to buy the console because the console is not available yet. Don't be fooled, wait until 2pm PST when the console becomes available.

Amazon
Controller
Receiver
Of course this is the SNES controller that closely resembles the SNES. There are other options.
This is the cheapest option if you want the controller and receiver, especially if you get it used.
Or pick up some original NES used controllers on Ebay and the Mayflash adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-NES-SNES-Controller-Adapter/dp/B00B2K0C8M) which also works with original SNES controllers. Full disclaimer: I have this adpater and used it with my NESC, but haven't tested it on my SNESC yet, so I can't say for certain that it works. You could also try the Hyperkin adapter https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Controller-Classic-nintendo-entertainment-system/dp/B01N3LNI3Q/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_lp_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=NRCEFFZ8J99B2CRS4274
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00004SVXW/ref=dp_olp_collectible?ie=UTF8&condition=collectible
A few of those have the manual/map and top out at $30. Buy one, keep what you need, ebay the rest.
Amazon France is also taking pre-orders for the controller
Amazon UK:

Just search 'Amiibo stand' on amazon it is the first result.

Of my 13 amiibos this can hold a minimum of 6 each, but the towers are made of blocks, similar to Legos, and so technically you could figure out some ways to expand more (use up the flag slot etc)
Don't worry, amazon's got you covered for only 180€ (plus shipping).
I think it's this one.
I've linked it at Amazon (US), but I've also seen it at local game stores in the UK at least.
You can definitely get this game for around $10-$15. Online at http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00004SVXW/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1311077760&sr=8-13&condition=used or at any kind of retro used game store. $60 is crazy.
Its sold out already on Amazon UK.

I understand Game in the UK will also be selling it. I think this is a good lesson to Nintendo to make more units to satisfy demand.
Oh and if you intend to buy this to simply resell it, then youre a cunt.
yeah :/ im getting the hyperkin $10 case until more are out and i can decide what I want. because i am flying on the 4th and need one asap

These are only $9.99 shipped with prime right now, I just bought my second one.

There's even an adapter for 10 bucks. So grab a cheap NES controller and viola, same experience.
There are tons more used ones then new ones now. They don't make it anymore so the only sealed ones left are the ones people bought and never opened, and how many people did that? The older the game the pricier the gap, such as Zelda on the NES
This one. And here's one of 8bitdo's retro receivers. They work the same in Bluetooth adapter mode, by the way. But since I'm not seeing a Switch Pro Controller mapping in the Xinput section of the manual, I guess it doesn't work as of now.

One of these
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003VH5Z2C?pc_redir=1405521703&robot_redir=1
But i also have real NES controllers for it. I have the front loading toaster, too.
I got this one from Hyperkin. It is only $10, has a mesh pocket for accessories and has pockets for game carts.

Oh they made one for the NES Classic. This whole time I was searching for older Wii cables. No wonder I was having such a hard time.
Thank you.
Yup, found it. I'm guessing this could be a big seller unless Nintendo makes an official one.
I'm just going to leave this right here: https://www.amazon.ca/Nintendo-Entertainment-System-NES-Classic/dp/B01JT77EDK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479181382&sr=8-1&keywords=nintendo%2Bclassic%2Bmini&th=1
The item page is pretty much the pleb link. This link is how people got them. When they are in stock, Amazon will be top of the list. I learned this from the Amiibo wars. Unfortunately I then forgot about it until it was too late this time around.
I have not played with it but I have read a lot of mixed reviews. I have seen a bunch of people complaining about the signal dropping constantly during gameplay. Look through the reviews on Amazon and you will see what I mean. I almost bought the controller and passed because of the reviews.

PSA: there's also this one
https://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Hard-Shell-Carrying-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B01N13YIQJ/ref=sr_1_10?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1486596397&sr=1-10&keywords=case+nintendo+switch
Also a hard case, only costs $10
This one is similar, though it doesn't have indents for the joy-cons, and it's already black. Also a few bucks cheaper.
Hyperkin EVA Hard Shell Carrying Case for Nintendo Switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N13YIQJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dL-MybJ8NBJCV
> So I guess there's no chance of a "retro" console anytime soon.
ahem
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4QC20Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_t3MbzbD399NYJ
These are the ones I have and they work fine although you need a small Phillip's head screwdriver to remove the little plastic piece on the connector that connects it to the console but no big deal. I haven't had a problem out of them.
Shit, glad I grabbed mine when I did, two days ago. It's $59.99 now.
Hmmm...you might look around a bit and try to score a couple of NES Classic controllers (https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Classic-Mini-Entertainment-System-Controller/dp/B01IH5O186/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1538599636&sr=8-3&keywords=nes+classic+controller&dpID=514d3-f2vgL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch) , it seems like people are starting to find them easier now.
Then, you could just take the button pads out of those (or even the whole shell and buttons themselves too) and drop them into your regular NES controllers.
It's too bad nobody seems to make a wiimote port to NES port adapter, otherwise you could just use the actual Classic controllers on your NES (of course that would add to cost).
Its the POWER A amiibo End Level Display: http://www.amazon.com/POWER-amiibo-Level-Display-nintendo-3ds/dp/B00XJ5EOWI/ref=pd_sim_63_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=515xRGDafFL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1EKY2CR3XWYW988Q6RPC
Fox's gun is a Star Wars Black Series 6" stormtrooper blaster, I stuck it to his hand with one of those little clear rubber bands.
I got:
a working NES with Super Mario Bros 1, 2, & 3, Legend of Zelda (gold cartidge), The Adventures of Link (gold cartidge), Dr. Mario - with the original box!, Mega Man 2, and RC Pro-AM Racing
Posable Mass Effect 3 "Minimates" of ManShep, Ashley, Wrex, and Garrus
Figurines of Link from Phantom Hourglass and Zelda from Ocarina of Time
The Art of the Mass Effect Universe
Mass Effect Library Edition Volume 1
"POP!" figurines of Garrus and Grunt
Steam Gift Card (which has so far purchased Mount and Blade Warband and the Ghostbusters game)
Miniature Bat-signal (it works surprisingly well)
Venture Brothers Season 5 on Blu-ray
My birthday is the day after Christmas, does that also count? I got:
A sweet Hyrule map puzzle
Anamaniacs DVD (Season 1)
My friends sBruced up my batroom (or spruced up my bathroom for the pun intolerant) with a custom blue and white batman symbol bathroom sign affixed to my batroom door, a bat-shower curtain, a classic Detective Comics poster to go with my existing Dark Knight Returns (the comic) poster, a bat-toothbrush/utility holder, a bat-soap dispenser, a bat-rug, and a bat-towel (link also features my existing shower curtain holders).
Not sure if this counts, but I also got a kit to make a working ornithopter (I'm a giant nerd for robots and the like). I also bought The Last Unicorn for myself but I think that's probably cheating.
I am quite pleased...I may have yelled "I HAVE AN NES" five or six times...an hour...all day...
You could just build a little display case for it and restrict him from ever using it ...
Or get him this too:

Well, in the UK game.co.uk is. TRU was but they took their preorder page down. Guessing they're out of preorders. Amazon UK was also taking preorders, but the page now says sold out.
I'd be shocked, SHOCKED I tell you if you can't just walk into a GameStop and plop down money on a pre-order right now. Back when I worked there you could pre-order anything that was announced, even if we had a SKU for it or not. We had a generic SKU for pre-order items that weren't in the system. GameStop is set up so that all stores in a district compete with each other for allocations of merchandise, and those allocations are based on pre-orders. More merch means more sales, and more sales means more money in the operating budget to do things like create shifts. That's why every time you walk into one they pressure you to pre-order crap.
I bought one from world wide distributors on Amazon. It is a legit OEM controller. The only thing is I had to pay $59.99 for it which sucked. https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01IH5O186/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all
For my case, I'm going with this case made by Hyperkin. I know it's blank, but I'm gonna customize it with Vinyl stickers of the Nintendo Switch Logo
For my screen protector, I'm using a basic plastic screen protector made by HORI. Since none of the games on the Switch will use the touchscreen other then for navagating menus, I don't think I'm gonna scracth the screen much, if not at all.
For SD card, I'm using a old 32GB Sandisk SDHC Micro SD I found lying around in one of my phones. Since I'm going mostly physical and only digital media I'll be consuming are Virtual Console games, I don't have much of a problem with storage space.
