Since i started gaining love for the Souls game, i has always want to try Bloodborne. The fast-paced combat intrigued me since it'd open up many possibility that wasn't viable in before in previous Souls game. So i when Sony saled Bloodborne recently, i couldn't resist, eventhough i wasn't owned a PS4 at that point. Pretty much go broke to experience this, but for me it was worth it, and the PS4 showed me a new way of gaming that i've never experienced before. Right now i'm going after the Platinum trophy of Bloodborne (as you may see in the profiles, i need 2 more trophy for the base game Platinum). I couldn't afford the DLC at the moment since i'm pretty much broke at this point; and i hope you could help me out.

I literally bought my ps4 just for bloodborne and i have no regrets, to me this game is a masterpiece in soo many ways! The soundtrack, the gameplay, the mechanics, the multiplayer, the subtle lore! i could go on. I have platinumed the game and completed it countless times on numerous difficulties, now just over 200 hours clocked into it since the day it released and i am certain i can easily play another 100 or so if i had this DLC, the DLC isn't your regular addition of new weapons and skins etc it is more of an old school expansion, I've seen the streams, everyone I've watched play it is well impressed with the amount of sheer content there is. Bloodborne doesn't have many flaws at all, but one of the issues i do kiiiind of have with it is the lack of variety in the weapons, but from what I've seen, in the dlc they have doubled the amount of weapons ! Not only that the new areas are some of the most challenging and rewarding there have ever been in a game made by From Software. Seriously purchasing this game is the only reason i still have my PS4 and if you do too i highly recommend getting bloodborne, it will consume your life man. I could go on and on about why this game is absolutely fantastic and how this DLC most likely is too, but i really hope you understand my love for this game haha and i don't want to annoy you with my terrible expressive skills in writing. I had a puppy when i was kid who's name was Arrow, he was a Pomeranian and i fkin loved this cotton ball. A little background, i got him for my birthday when he was a baby, i always wanted a pet. He rarely ever barked and when he did it was super cute so one day my mom got this walking toy dinosaur and put it in front of him which 9/10 times made go him crazy and bark a lot, this... this was the worst decisions my mom had ever made. Ever since the toy incident he started to bark sooo much he would do it all the time unless he was with you, this lead to the neighbours complaining, we live in a apartment so others have the right to make complaints to the manager if we make noise, in this case if he makes noise. The complaints continued for many months until we were forced to either make him be quiet or the SPCA (Pet people) will take him away :c we tried many things such as those anti- bark collars, not the painful but the beeping ones, yeah those sucked.. so long story short we sold him to a proper home, A sad sad day that was OP.

You would buy Stormblood separately, which has both expansions'. I think The Complete Edition is the best bang for your buck though, so I recommend it.

Make sure not to buy used. Once the activation key is used, it's attached to that person's account forever.

EDIT: Actually, you can get them separately for the same price as, or cheaper than, the Complete Edition. Here are the options.

Option 1: The Complete Edition The Complete Edition is more convenient because you have everything in one package. However, buying them separately means you can spread out your purchases because the expansion's content isn't accessible until after A Realm Reborn's content anyway, or you can wait until the expansion goes on sale.

Option 2: A Realm Reborn Digital Code + Stormblood Physical Copy This is the cheapest option and, after thinking about it, the one I recommend. While playing A Realm Reborn you wait for the expansion to ship, and it costs less than the complete edition.

Option 3: A Realm Reborn Digital Code + Stormblood Digital Copy This one is all digital, and the same price of the complete edition. You don't have to deal with physical copies of anything, and you can install it all as soon as you buy it instead of waiting for shipping.

But here's the weird part: We DID get the Iron Gjallarhorn (I didn't make this clear in my post), but we DIDN'T get the Iron Gjallarwing! Only half of the preorder bonus, weird huh?

That's just odd. I mean, good for you, just odd you can download it for free, but not purchase it.

Have you tried: settings > Parental Controls > ps4 restrictions > (enter code, default is 0000) > Default Parental Controls > Age Level for Games.

Change that to "Allowed" for highest setting.

Other than that, yeah it looks like you can't do anything except using the primary for purchases. Or, like you said, be 18.

You can definitely buy digital stuff across the puddle, I've done so with Steam game keys before. Don't know if PS4 is as.. flexible.

The problem that people had was that for a few months they were advertising the launcher & sparrow. They even had posted a video (that Bungie made) showcasing both items on the pre-order page.

Either way, I'm glad that Amazon and Bungie made it right.

It was a limited time thing at launch. It was called the Triple Pack. Had multiplayer content and what they described as a "single player add-on" Naughty Dog underpriced this thing pretty severely, so when Lost Legacy came close to release they quietly removed this from the store. But owners of this pass and the other pass that replaced the Triple Pack (the Explorer Pack) still receive the DLC. And you can still purchase the collectors edition and receive Lost Legacy. It's really not a full game, I don't think Naughty Dog would ever re use a character model for a new game. It's a lengthy expansion. Over the course of Lost Legacy's development they realized how it was too lengthy for the smaller price of the pack, but it was still recognized as Uncharted 4's single player DLC and labeled as such.

The difference between the pack ($30) and the standalone ($40) was just $10. So clearly they didn't spiral out of the original value or anything. Will not be seen as a game and will not make a fraction of what Uncharted 4 has

A far as I can find, you can't purchase a code for the pass on Xbox one or Xbox 360. However you can purchase an xbox cash card that can be redeemed on the xboxes and then used to purchase the pass online. You can find some on Amazon here ranging from $10-$100.

Going to play the beta and find out if it's worth buying.

Beyond that, my concern is the DLC price: Amazon has a season pass for the first 2 DLC's listed for $35 (PS4) so presumably each DLC is $20 per.

Some games to look at: Horizon Zero Dawn, Ratchet and Clank, The Witcher 3 maybe, God of War, any shooters he might be into (COD, Fortnite, Overwatch). Definitely check out Rocket League, super fun for all ages that game.

I'm a huge Destiny 2 player, so if that is a game he wants you should know the following. You don't need to get him Destiny 1, no one really plays it anymore. If you do get him Destiny 2, you will also need to grab him the expansions, as the community has moved on from the base game alone. The current expansions are Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and now Forsaken. So what you want is the Destiny 2: Forsaken - Complete Collection game (amazon link here for reference). This one includes all the base game and previous expansions as well as the current, very popular expansion Forsaken. Also note, there's a recently large number of new players in Destiny 2 so he should fit right in.

Also note, if he is to play any online games he will need a ps plus subscription. Basically a $60 annual fee to maintain, nothing big but it might add up if you buy all this at once.

Also I get he's 12 and your kid and all, but really we were all vulgar monsters at that age. There's probably nothing in those games you mentioned (GTA, Witcher, RDR2) that he doesn't already know about, especially thanks to the internet. So...sorry to pop that bubble. I would actually pay more attention to his attitude while playing online shooters, as that's where a lot of rage tends to pop out. I had a lot of rage issues playing COD while growing up, and it's the reason I don't play competitive shooter multiplayer games anymore (or the PvP parts of Destiny 2).


Sony has really invested (and invested well) into some incredible single player, story driven games. Don't give them up too quick just cause you think he might be "too young". At this day and age, there's no such thing.

I don't have access to the ubi or steam websites from work to check PC, but I did find the PS4 year 2 season pass and Xbox year 2 season pass from Amazon and the Microsoft store respectively, and the description for the extra challenges for the season pass is vague at best and misleading at worst in both cases. Since these descriptions are all you get before you've made your purchase for the season pass, I couldn't fault somebody for assuming that you would receive two extra challenges each day as a season pass holder based on the description. I've included the links to the year 2 season passes below. For both products, the description is "2 extra daily challenges".

I can post more if need be. Seriously man, they were 100% clear on what the season pass would include. The content was worth the price paid objectively, and if you didn't like the content it wouldn't matter what they charged you for it. If they charged $2.50 and you hated it you'd still feel like you got ripped off.

As far as I'm aware, codes are region specific. That's why when people ask for beta keys and such they state they are looking for NA or EU codes. The US Amazon store, I believe only sells NA codes. You could make a NA PSN account to redeem it, and just set your PS4 as primary, that way your EU PSN has access to the content.

I don't know if the description on the Amazon listing is the same listing as what showed up in PSN/XBL, but it only gives any details about the first expansion, The Dark Below, and it specifies "raid," singular. No details are given about the second expansion, House of Wolves.

If that's true, I stand by my statement: While I can understand why people would assume every expansion would have a raid, nowhere did Bungie promise that to be the case.

For anyone who hasn't picked it up yet, the FFXV DLC season pass is a qualifying purchase.
