I ordered stuff yesterday to do it myself I've watched videos it's pretty hard to take it apart without breaking or scratching anything but my parts list is

The battery I bought was highly recommended on xda devs by several people most eBay batteries don't have temp sensors and video I watched guys battery only charged to 94% but if your new to taking small stuff apart I wouldn't attempt it

I agree with this approach!

If it were me, assuming you can roll the window down, I would carefully use something like in between the glass and door panel

Calculated Industries #1190 Air Shim Inflatable Pry Bar and Leveling Tool; 300 LB Rating; Contractor-Grade Alignment Pump Wedge https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015CJEHZM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XtX7Ab1W648GS

I would look down into the door and try and use the slim jim or hook of some sort to carefully release the latch. Also it may seem obvious but, if you are not a Cadillac expert, I find it helps to take a look at the new latch and figure out exactly how it works before attempting to release the new one.

DISCLAIMER: It is possible to shatter a window using the pressure wedge I normally only give myself like 1/8-1/4 inch. Just enough to get a little look. This is just me though. I have never been too skilled blindly using a slim jim, unless is like an old truck.

You sure it is not screwed in?

I just demoed alot of built in shelves to make room for a bathroom addition I am doing.

You usually destroy one or the other.

You can try using some of these. You want to make sure you pry between the frame and a stud. But you still might crush in some drywall. Which you can usually fix pretty easy. But it is hard to make it look original. ( that is a art)

Mayhew Pro 40152 9/16-by-16-Inch Lady Foot Pry Bar

Found by googling the named Mayhew and the number 40152 clearly shown on the side. I'm sure if I could have read the whole UPC, it would have been easier.

Buy yourself the biggest prybar you can find. We have a 5 or 6ft long prybar named the dominator. It's the quickest and easiest way, just don't knock the vehicle off the lift. Works on stuck wheels and brake rotors. Also great at manipulating lower control arms when replacing CV axles and lining up lower ball joints as you reassemble. I bolt a chain around the control arm in a loop and then slide the prybar thru. With the long bar I only need a couple fingers to manipulate the control arm enough to line up a lower ball joint.

Leverage is the shit! Just don't He-man it and bend the shit out things.

But sometimes it's just a damn good deal ersumshit.

Explain this to me. I'm an auto tech, and I was looking for a big prybar. Like, a 58" prybar. The tool trucks sell them, and everyone knows they're marked up. Snap On guy sells the Mayhew Dominator prybar. But like I said, way marked up, so I shopped around. I can find them around $75 on Amazon for the 58., and $70 for the 48.

But if you look hard enough, a seller on Amazon sells it for $178 for 2 of each. This is telling me the Amazon price should really be about $45 a piece?

To answer his question on removing the oil pan. These thin pry bars work pretty good.

This thing. Or guitar pick, or something like that. Basically you pry open the top (carefully not to rip flex cables). Then pull off joystick cap (carefully not to rip flex cables). Then you put a tiny speck of toilet paper/tinfoil/whatever to the hole in the cap. Put the cap back, and put the top of the controller back.

If it’s just door and windows it’s easy. Get one of these and it’ll make everything even easier.

Alright alright, fair enough, apologies. That's all much more reasonable than I imagined. I thought you were carrying around one of these little guys. I carry a shard too.

Just an FYI I picked up this one and it works a lot better then my Prolock version.

Kinda scares me sometimes in this summer heat. Sign the disclaimer before I stick any tools in your car.

S30V pry bars are quite good imo. I am not a metallurgist, so I do not know a proper mix of Titanium to other ore for best use, but I would make a guess that 90% Titanium is a max to avoid breakage and the other 10% adds flexible components to the end product.

For a small pry car I do not carry all the time, but could, I have a 5 1/2 inch Vaughan Bushnell here on Amazon

mini pry bar

u/TheWonderLemon · 1 pointr/Archery

I have a tiny pry bar that I've been using:

https://www.amazon.com/samcomorg-MINI-PRY-CROW-BAR/dp/B000NPN74S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1467008957&sr=8-3&keywords=tiny+crowbar

You might also need to pick up a tiny hammer to go along with it (usually I use a rock if I need to hammer it in), but it's been working out well for me so far!

already left the shop for the day. but its just one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-3352-Pry-Bar-4-Piece/dp/B000NPR2Z8/

bent into a candy cane shape with a notch that goes to the bottom of the J. That way you can use the edge of the prybar to get some lever action on the new curve you put into it, then once it starts moving, slide it down a little and jerk it out.

Call a local tranny shop and ask if they have one you could borrow, if you dont want to make your own.
