Ooh, I want in on this:

  • Better, less-plastic window controls, so that I'm not tempted to buy this.

  • Work some diamond-pattern quilting into the seat bolsters and possibly doors. That'll also give the door arm rests a little more cushion.

  • Can we revisit cooled seats without using perforated leather? I get why the perforated is less durable, but perhaps there's something else we can do.

  • Can we get airbag massaging seats? The F250 Super Duty has them.

  • Bring the wood or CF trim around to the doors as in the Model X.

  • Improve the flow of the center console. Bringing the wood decor down to it was a good step, but it still feels a little tacked-on, and we could get more storage under the arm rests. Let's also decide where the front seat cupholders are supposed to be. The upper (original) ones require you to sacrifice the arm rest, and the lower modular ones are good-not-great. Once we sort that out, maybe we can do heated/cooled cupholders.

  • Run some heating into the front armrests, linked to the front seat heater elements.

  • Build a really good back seat flip-down arm rest, perhaps with a little lighting and cup holders. This arm rest would be tied into the seat heating. Possibly the new cupholders are heated/cooled, too.

  • Power folding rear seats. (Long shot, but I had to ask)

  • Convert all USB ports to USB-C and give them a lot more power. Also have them support the various android quick charge technologies.

  • Upgrade MCU to 4k with a better CPU and upgrade the driver's screen to at least 1080p if not 4k. OLED is preferred but not required. Someday, this thing will drive itself and we'll be watching movies on it, at least in theory.

  • Upgrade the LTE connection to something like the Snapdragon X20 and the Wifi to 802.11ac. Also, give us a wifi hotspot. (see below for why)

  • I want to say rear seat screens, but almost anything you put in there is going to try to get obsolete. Instead, I'd come up with some kind of hidden tablet mount that can tie a tablet in with power and audio that doesn't require cords to be everywhere. Then it's up to the owner if they want to put tablets back there or not. The audio could show up as a source on the main entertainment system, if the whole car wants to listen, or you could use wireless headphones paired to the tablet using the tablet's hardware. Think about it: The tablet's own hardware gives you backseat video conferencing, streaming entertainment, and games (with a bluetooth controller.) All Tesla has to do is give us a way to hang it and plug it in that isn't offensive. They proved they can do it with the phone dock.

  • If you won't give me self-presenting doors, make them soft-close. Also, if you can't give me a power open/close frunk, make it soft close so I don't have to press down on it and leave human prints on the hood.

  • Multicolor LED lighting, which could also be used to give autopilot alerts.

  • Some kind of gimmick in the puddle lighting, like this. Keep it classy and it would be cool.

  • Though lighted emblems are available third party, something like this would be a good complement to a Tesla.

You can lift that front end about 2in for free: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/TorsionBar.shtml

Super easy and will make it look so much better. If you're in town for new shocks, now is a good time to replace them, lifting the front end will make the shocks not operate correctly. Rancho is the only company that makes them for 1-3in lifted rangers.

This will level it out, but if you want to lift the rear as well, you can throw in an add a leaf pretty cheap. I recommend this over new shackles.

Looks like one of your fog lights is busted off, and so is the plastic valence trim. I bought a pair of LED driving lights off amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HLW18T2/ref=twister_B00HM0Q4P6

They are FANTASTIC for 27 bucks. They only draw 27 watts a piece, so you could wire 4 up total (2 per side) to the stock fog light wiring. I only have 2 and they are just unbelievably great, especially for the price. I wired them up to the stock fog wires, and mounted them on top my front bumper, near the corners of the grill. I also did a wiring mod: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-submissions/60478-fog-lamp-mod-1998-only.html

To be able to turn the lights on as long as the headlight switch is on (stock fogs only come on with low beams)

If you live in a rusty area, might want to look into cleaning up your frame with a wire brush and grinder and painting it so it doesn't rust away.

All in all, if you do 4 new shocks, this is about 500 bucks worth of mods. If you don't paint and don't do new shocks it's less than 100 worth of mods, 30 for the lights, 50 or so for the add a leafs. The torsion crank is a free 2in of lift in the front! Makes it look way better. So that's a nice little list of things to start off with.

When I get home tomorrow I can upload a picture of my truck with the front and rear lift, painted frame, and lights so you can get an idea of how it would look.

I can’t help with headlights info, but I have a 2015 3 and did the LED Interior, reverse, license plate and parking lights upgrade. Really pretty easy and much better light all around. I used these and they all are still working great:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AHVND32/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DE7UC6C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NPIYDWU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also bought this toolkit for removing interior the light covers and panels:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MUC8LTG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It’s not hard to do and there are very good videos on youtube to guide you, like this one:

https://youtu.be/Hdm9wUFgl18

I am currently looking at these for the turn signals too:

Good luck!

Lighting: I have a tailgate LED strip that does flowing turn signals and blinking brake lights. You've probably seen them around on Wish or Amazon (Not this one specifically, but very similar)

I've got a pair of LED runningboard lights to add that I'm going to wire to Turn Signals and Interior Lights, so when you unlock or open the doors (or turn on the domes) you'll get a courtesy light on the ground.

I've already installed the LED footwells, but havent finished hooking them up yet, just need to ground and plug into the fuse box.

I have the Trailhawk so the exterior lights are already pretty great, I'll probably upgrade the running lights to something brighter to match the headlights and foglights.

I do not have plans to do lightbars just yet... I think it would look too tryhard. What I might do instead is to get one with magnetic bases on either side, or goes on the roof rails so I can remove it if I'm not offroad...running it through the Cigarette Lighter doesn't bother me since it would be in/out temporary.

I'm going to install a CB and run a firestick antenna off the rear tailgate. I have one ready to go... but I'm looking at smaller ones that I can hide all but the handset. I don't have LOTS of use for one, but I'm an 80/90's kid and I HAVE been saved from driving into a Tornado by one before.

The hitch carrier is my first choice anyway, good looking out on the gas mileage.

The Cold Air Intake is partly about the sound (the Tigershark 2.4 sounds a little too...mousey for me at the moment), and for possible fuel mileage savings once I get used to the new sound and don't step on it just to hear it growl.

The Exhaust will probably be a custom job from my dads mechanic. I've known the guy my whole life and just found out he has a "state-of-the-art" pipe bending machine in his new shop and does custom exhausts. I'm looking for airflow (for MPG's) and a new muffler with again... a more meaty, growly sound (without being super annoying).

So much of a list... but I want it to mostly appear Stock unless I'm doing something with the accessories. Thus my wishy washyness on adding a guard to the front end. We definitely have a Whitetail issue where I live and it would be nice to possibly be fine after hitting one instead of having thousands in damage to repair.

u/paperwaller · 1 pointr/Jeep

Awesome thanks. I think I'm gonna go with squareish since my mounting tabs are somewhat farther out along with the rectangular turning signals. I was thinking of these possibly or something like them. They have decent revies and the price is pretty nice. The [wiring kit is cheap] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GQOGQMA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=10B117VTNAD7T&coliid=I2IEMDVUVB3COO) and has great reviews with one guy saying it was identical/better than his KC wiring kit. This looks like what I may go with unless I can find something brighter for a similar price range.

Thanks for all the help!

Day one -- get some ZL1 rock & mud guards, hellcat spoiler swap, luxe taillight/sidemarker tints, and inside/door LED light swap. Pretty much the most affordable and easy mods you can do. The spoiler may be a bit pricey.

The rock & mud guards will run you about $95 after shipping.

The luxe taillight and the luxe sidemarker tints will run you about $35 and $25 respectively.

The LED swap can run you anywhere between $10-$30 depending on what you find. This was one of the first links I found. If you want to swap the map bulb (these lights that are above you that comes on automatically) you need to get another kit but it's pretty cheap at around $8.

The hellcat spoiler swap will run you a little over $100 with shipping. The one I linked fits in the holes already drilled for the stock spoiler (if you have one). If you don't have one, you'll need some drilling done. If you have one, you may need to fill a hole or two on either side of the trunk.

Overall these quick and easy mods will run you about $300 or so but will drastically change the look of your car.

Further mods that I recommend are exhausts (catback exhausts are your best bang for your buck, though they'll run you upwards of $1,000+). If you're interested in changing out the exhaust, look up American Thunder by Flowmaster or Borla S-Type/ATAK. If you want to hear what an S-Type sounds like, I posted a video not too long ago. Also, for the exhausts, it doesn't matter if they're made for RWD or AWD. The Chargers aren't different from the cat back when it comes to transmission/drive-train so RWD exhaust systems will fit the AWD vehicles.

A cold air intake can also be a slight improvement. Though there's negligible hp/mpg gains, it deepens the exhaust of the car a bit. I found that after I put mine on, my exhaust had a deeper and more rumbling tone. And, it makes a cool noise too.

So I saw you said it didn't have to be related to goats, and I'm sure with the responses as well as your own personal searching you've seen almost everything (at least on amazon) goat related. So I looked through your wish list a bit and something that I kept seeing come up were things that were purple. Sometimes when I've got money burning a whole in my pocket and can't decide what to get, I just look up one work like for instance, the word "purple." Well, I looked it up and on amazon you've got options for a purple coffee maker, purple lights, purple butterfly wall art, purple car lights, or even a purple knife set. None of these things may actually interest you, but searching one word like that gives you such a broad range of things that might spark an idea for something similar.

Thanks for the contest and the #15 is also a favorite of mine so I appreciate you adding that as well! :)

Congratulations on getting an ND. If you are getting one with a manual transmission don't look at anything other than the Club or Club Brembo trim levels, as those are the only ones that come with a limited slip differential.

If you are going to be buying a used ND, be sure to read over the threads pertaining to roof and transmission issues on the early model cars. The TSB's put out by Mazda also give good guidelines as to what to look for. You should be okay buying a early year used car as long as you look over the known wear points on the roof and check the build date on the transmission.

The following is a good basic list of items that any ND owner could install that would be enjoyable upgrades as stand alone upgrades or as a starting point for further modifications dependent on intended use.

3M Invisible Bra for the front bumper. Can't stress this enough, this car eats rocks to the face like crazy...

Stubby Antenna, stock one looks like a RC car antenna

Interior dome light and trunk light LEDs

Reverse light LEDs

Side marker and license plate light LEDs

Wheel Spacers if you intend to keep the stock wheels, Stock wheels are very sunk into the wheel well and look strange from the factory.

Sway bars, the stock bars are very thin and allow LOTS of body roll. Of all the parts that I listed, only the front sway bar has a high degree of difficulty to install assuming you have basic mechanical skills.

Stock exhaust is very anemic, recommend some muffler choices based on if you are looking for a more refined but quiet exhaust or something louder and more exotic. Don't bother with midpipe unless you are looking at headers as well. Cold air intakes for the ND have been proven to do absolutely nothing via dyno testing.

HKS Legamax Premium. More on the quiet side, gets louder with a great refined sound as it breaks in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-XdBGS1nwI

Roadster Sport Race. Loudest exhaust but still okay to daily drive. Has an exotic sound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvK18FsWilE

Also, I Just had the Innovated Dynamics spoiler in your picture delivered. FYI, Jose the guy that makes these is known for long delays and not answering emails /phone calls. If you order one of these spoilers don't expect to see it for 4 to 6 weeks. I'll post up some pictures once it is painted and mounted.

I have more upgrades done to my 16' Jet Black Mica ND with more planned for the future. DM me if you want to see pictures of my car on IG or if you would like an additional opinion on parts I have not covered in this post.

5050 is the SMD package size of the LED, 5mm x 5mm. That's the common one on RGB LED tape, but the white ones are probably smaller. Anything on amazon that says it's 12v ready should work, it has the resistors built in, just choose your color temperature and LED count per foot. I'd recommend warm white and a mediumish count, sorta every other or every third spacing.

Here are a few, I haven't used any so can't recommend any.

On this one, you can see the little scissors line, most LED tape has that so you can buy long lengths and wire up custom sizes for whatever you want. https://www.amazon.com/Alpena-77443-FlexLEDs-8-Inch-White/dp/B00D1SWLGO

Something like this might be better if you can screw it into something. I've seen the tape style get hot and fall off. With really good surface prep that probably won't be a problem. https://www.amazon.com/White-Marker-Truck-Trailer-Light/dp/B01GKOQVZC

More dense LED count. https://www.amazon.com/AMBOTHER-Atmosphere-Underdash-Waterproof-Decoration/dp/B01N0ZC0S7

These look like RGB leds, so maybe they're mixing colors to get amber? Or maybe they're RGBW and the white is amber? https://www.amazon.com/Ecosin-motorcycle-signal-Universal-lights/dp/B01K6YU7ES

I have a 2016 CX-5 GT, here's what I ordered and I love every one of them:

  1. Steering wheel cover - Much more comfy to hold, especially in winter with gloves on

  2. Interior LEDs - Better and brighter white color

  3. Cargo Tray - Great for hauling things that would scratch your interior up. Also great for spills. I was hauling a lawn mower that leaked gas. No problem at all. Hosed off the tray and done.

  4. Soft Cargo Liner - This will protect the back of your seats when folded down, and puts a soft pad to protect things you put in the cargo area. Works nice in combination with the Cargo Tray above.

  5. Weathertech Floor Liners - These are great and fit perfectly front and back. I live in a snowy winter area, so these have seen snow, ice, salt, spills, boots, etc. And they hold up excellently. You REALLY want these, trust me.

  6. Moonroof Deflector - The moonroof on my CX-5 was really noisy, this helped a lot. I installed it myself, was a little bit of a pain but anyone could do it.

u/oom9333 · 2 pointsr/HondaRebel300

I'll chime in on the headlight here too. Ive had my 300 for two weeks and have wanted to do these exact same mods too haha. Go LED, so much easier and I promise it'll be as bright as you're looking for. I found this via a guy who does Rebel 300 mods on YouTube. You will even see his review on the Amazon product page I linked. Make sure and get the H4. Comes with two, surprisingly, for $40. Also, I did yellow tint on my headlight afterwards if that piques your interest. I'll post it, so you can find it on my Reddit posts. Hi OP. I'm here to save you :).

Best option for drop in halogen replacement is OSRAM Nightbreakers.

This gives you the most light in the best spectrum - somewhere around 4500k color temperature.

It will never match your HID high beam, but it can't because it's a halogen and halogen only has one color unless tinted (the nightbreaker is tinted in non-output areas to give better color).

The issue with the HID in the reflector isn't just an issue of blinding other drivers, but your reflector simply can't make the most out of the Xenon filled bulb.

There is a big difference between how HID bulbs work and how Halogen bulbs work, read here.

So I would always recommend halogen in halogen housings. If you want HID light... well you need to retrofit a projector.

Light output is best at 4300k color temp, with 3000k being the most yellow, 5000k being pure white, 6000, white with blue hue, and 8000k beginning the blue spectrum. You lose MAJOR output above 5500k, so I would never recommend higher to see.

Good luck making a decision.

Kawell - got them on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DLZSAAI/&qid=1410624428

I've read that there a ton of knock-offs on Amazon, but I made sure I went with a set that was advertised as "Sold by kawell, fulfilled by Amazon" and I'm pretty sure I got a legit pair.

u/skip029 · 2 pointsr/nissanjuke

I'll link the actual ones I bought online below but they're just like the thin strip LED's you can buy at Walmart. There's a gap all around the headlight housing you can squeeze them into. Very easy and cheap! Looks great! I had the guys wire them to my parking lights when I got my Viper remote car starter put in.

The KC lights, or the headlights + fog?

The 3 KC lights are the Rugged Ridge Light Bar:
(https://www.extremeterrain.com/rugged-ridge-light-bar-black-jk-112322.html?utm_content=XT%20Lights%20-%20Light%20Mounts%20and%20Brackets%7CRugged%20Ridge&utm_source=google-pla&utm_medium=shopping&T5_Var3=yellow&T5_Var4=J13080&intl=0&utm_campaign=XTW+Wrangler+Brands+Low&gclid=CMnnxcSg0NkCFUPRswodljsEXw&gclsrc=ds)

And then a set of 2 KC Apollo driving lights: (KC HiLiTES 151 Apollo Pro 6" 100w Driving Light System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006V7TBBA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_htQMAbYAB8V49)

For for third light, KC sells an 'add on' harness; buy an additional single KC light, and then the harness (http://www.kchilites.com/add-on-wiring-harness-kc-6316.html)

After all that I went to napa and bought a spool of black plastic wiring loom to make everything look nice.

If you've never done ANY wiring before it may be a challenge, but there's infinite YouTube videos out there to help you. The switch is on the left side of the steering wheel above the lower speaker. I can get a picture of the location if you want.

Also, use my links for the part number and search all over eBay and different websites to save some money too.

The headlights are just cheap Amazon ones that are working astonishingly well for being $110. Foglights are the same thing, xprite Amazon ones for cheap. Those you have to remove the front bumper for which was a bit of a pain.

Hope this helps!

Here is the headlight, you get 2 because they are car bulbs, but they aren’t too expensive. They are the H4 size they they fit perfectly into the stock headlamp.

Here is a video on how to instal it. I really like how bright and white it is, instead of that nasty yellow tinge.

u/vskid · 2 pointsr/GoRVing

I put these LEDs in my fifth wheel. Cool white,
Warm white

They're 12-28v, some reviews reported issues with using the 12v version from that brand in RVs. The warm white its kinda yellow like the stock incandescents while the cool white looks like a florescent light. Most of my fixtures use two bulbs, so I put one of each in them for a good mix of color temperature. They don't put out quite as much light as the incandescents, but it's still enough and the power usage and heat are reduced a ton. I got a 10 pack of each and they're all working great after 6+ months of daily use.

u/amekimo · 3 pointsr/Kawasaki

I use this LED light:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WVJR0D8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works very well and it’s super bright. If you do change out your bulb, switch the two corner running lights to LED as well. I used these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JRE38EA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah super easy I think it took 30 minutes total to replace all the lights. The only one I had issues with the lift gate light, I had a hard time figuring out how to get to it. I used this kit it came with a little prying tool to get the lights out. I like them because they give off a much cooler light, which I feel makes the interior feel more modern/luxurious look.

These work pretty well in my stock housings. I have (h4 version ) installed in three bikes. OPT7 Motorcycle LED Headlight Kit w/ Arc-Beam Bulb - H4 9003 - 6000K Cool White - 40w 3,500Lm CREE - 2 Yr Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WVJR0D8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_2GGhzb9DW1R3Z

The instructions are real not clear, but the bulb separates with a twist from the mounting plate. Install the metal part, then your headlight bulb boot then insert the bulb assembly and twist to lock.
Make sure the bulb is positioned correctly with the leds pointing perfectly horizontal with the housing, otherwise you'll get a weird pattern high on one side - low on the other.

u/atetuna · 2 pointsr/CherokeeXJ

I haven't done the math yet. I'm a bit scared that I'll find that I need to upgrade my battery and alternator. I think it will be good enough for short spurts though.

If power is an issue, my first move will be to add a couple smaller lights to my A pillar or bumper to give me some extra coverage while I'm not using the big 50" light bar.

We may be thinking alike. I'm looking at adding some reverse lights, and also some lower power side lights to use in camp. Low power lights like this should be able to run all night and barely put a dent in the battery charge, although I'm going to get a second battery when I start doing that so that I don't accidentally finding myself unable to start my jeep the next morning. Should I though?? That's a tough question. I have a bike light that I've tethered to trees before, and there's little reason I couldn't continue to use a system like that.

Take the battery life estimates with a grain of salt though. As I said, I haven't done the math yet to see how quickly it will drain the battery.

When I get some lights installed, I'll post some pictures, and I'll be happy to give installation tips and share the math. I have some light testing equipment too, so I may even test throw, lumens and the color spectrum...maybe...it's a lot of work to do all that.

u/HappilyAccosted · 1 pointr/Harley

I actually just put these on my sportster last night: OPT7 Motorcycle LED Headlight Kit w/ Arc-Beam (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WVJR0D8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_6SH3wb4PP998B)

The difference is astounding. The fitment can be a little tricky but I was able to fit everything in the original housing.

Also thinking about adding a light bar underneath from (http://trackerdie.myshopify.com/products/7in-36-watt-led-light-bar) but that'll be a little later.

u/I_Was_Mistaken · 2 pointsr/motorcycles

I’ve had no issues with people flashing me or any other issues. Two things are important. 1. This bulb comes apart to install it, this is not immediately evident, but a close inspection will show the bulb at two parts. The “holding ring - like the H4 has ) twists and comes off the the bulb assembly toward the front. You install this first, then your rubber protective boot and then the light assembly goes in and turns to lock. Now item 2. Is the only issue and fault with the bulb. When you insert and 1/2 turn, you can go beyond having the bulb exactly vertical in the assembly which will skew your lighting all out of spec, it will glare and be a non uniform pattern. The fix. Mark the fan assembly with a vertical line perpendicular to the actual LED chips. Now you know where vertical is and can install the assembly into the boot and the holder. Mine was about 5 degrees off if I just pushed in and turned till it stopper. I put mine vertical and then put a 1/4 dot of silicone between the holder and the bulb. Keeps it from moving, light is perfect. These bulbs have a fan assembly, it’s completely waterproof and I’ve submerged my DS in a few creeks with no failure of the light the fan just stays running under water till you turn off the ignition.

I used these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ADHUXGU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Many other people have as well. Some people put them in the plastic circle tabs in the ceiling over the trunk. But to do that you have to drill a hole in the sheet metal of the ceiling. I didn't want to do that, so I popped off both D-pillar covers and drilled holes in those. Worked great. They are high enough up so they don't get covered unless the trunk is 100% packed.
I soldered them into the switch for the stock trunk light. That way the automatically turn on and off when opening and closing the trunk.

These are the ones I got. They did fine and the color temperature matches the LED headlights pretty well. Includes all interior lighting and license plate lights.

Hey! Okay here is the link, let me know if it doesn't work for you. I haven't received them yet but I found this link from this sub Reddit with others recommending it and commenting on it's easy install. Lots of the reviews echo the same.

I upgraded the Interior LEDs, Floor Mats, and Cargo Mat. Installed a dashcam.
Also, here's a cool little hack where you can disable the headlights on the Daytime Running Lights so that just the LED is on. It looks sweet!

u/second_ary · 1 pointr/CX5

cool i think i'll try them. is there a specific brand? are these the ones everyone has good experience with?

It is an '82 XS400 special. It ran from 77 to 82. I have drag bars, but left all the cables the original length. The horn bracket got flipped upside down so I could access it/install a new one. I made a bracket that attaches to the bar running down in front of the engine to hold to LED fog lights, run by an auxiliary switch. Painted and wrapped the headers and have emgo shorty mufflers. Emgo pod filters, and a puck-style filter for the breather tube nipple. Led tails, led indicator lights, Upgraded headlight. Point of note on the headlight, mine was a sealed beam halogen. So to add a new bulb you have to buy an aftermarket reflector housing from candlepower.

EDIT: Also forgot Oury grips, cafe mirrors, new fuel lines, fuel filter and vacuum tube.

I run these Trucklite LED lights on my 05 LJ and I love them. No conversion needed, they plug right into your stock harness.

I did the same the other day and bought these http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0091YV1F4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1418790661&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40 . I didn't sand or paint the green and they still turned out good. I also took out the airbag light and now my truck beeps 25x when I start it so I have to go back in and replace that now, so don't do that. 01 ranger 2.3l

We have a 2006 Rockwood. Since its the same manufacturer, we may have the same lights.

Our dinette light is two bulbs, with a half dome...

Outside porch and yard lights...

Small round reading lights.

All overhead lights...

Hope this helps.

Edit: the outside lights and the dinette lights look very similar. Also, the stove hood light uses the same bulb as the overheads.

u/mdt3rp3r · 1 pointr/Jeep

Tell you the truth it really depends and where you're mounting it i went with a light bar because i wanted to mount it to my hood, and was planning on adding rounds to the pillars. These are the ones i was personally looking at. And a close second choice for me

u/pcyr9999 · 11 pointsr/Miata

I bought an 8 pack of LED strips [off of Amazon] (https://www.amazon.com/XT-AUTO-Flexible-Waterproof-Decoration/dp/B014V4RR9C?th=1) for $9 and a blue toggle switch from Autozone for $4. Everything else (wires, twist-on wire connectors, zip ties, etc) I pulled out of my dad’s garage.

I used the ashtray light for power and installed the toggle switch in the center compartment (the one under your arm). It took me several hours to get it right (it didn’t work in series but parallel worked just fine). Did it all off of my existing circuit knowledge from high school which was more than sufficient.

It looks great cruising down the highway, more than makes up for the broken map lights, turns on with the rest of the lights automatically unless I choose to turn them off, and doesn’t take up any extra space.

Thanks! I was considering these but they do seem very white: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HRMSX6W/

u/bittah_king · 2 pointsr/fordranger

I went with these. I've been satisfied with the results, very bright and even. I've had no problems and I haven't had any go out, even the ones in my license plate light and I've has those for pry almost a year

u/King_Pearson · 10 pointsr/XVcrosstrek

This is all DIY. Snagged these LED bolts off Amazon and just tapped into the wiring for the existing cargo light. Ran everything along the cabling into the hatch, drilled a pair of 7/16" holes for the lights, and hooked everything up.

EDIT: link formatting

u/Beanboy100 · 3 pointsr/Miata

I used these 194 LEDs from Amazon!

And they've lasted unlike the cheapo ones I had before that kept going out.

Edit: Dusk but during full on daytime you can't see that the lights are on (I drive with my headlights ON)

u/hey_im_at_work · 2 pointsr/ToyotaTacoma

I drilled holes to flush mount these LED bolts and ran the wires in the open cavity behind the liner:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ADHUXGU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ViLEyb6HW4P21

On those LED bolts I wired male connectors from this pack to meet the female ends run to an inline fuse on the hot and ground, all terminated into a waterproof switch I flush mounted by the driver's side cubby. Waterproofed these connections to ensure no issues with wiring:

Buy a set of these, replace your dome lights, trunk light, glovebox light. It makes the car so much brighter compared to normal bulbs and uses way less power. You just get a little glow from residual through the relay and they might flash when dimming.

u/Ikeelu · 1 pointr/mazda

Yeah I was looking at that. I also noticed a few people on mazda247 went with This kit from Amazon $18.99. A bit curious what the quality difference and brightness is on them.

edit: Ended up ordering these. Someone on Mazda247 was recommending them and talking about how it uses the newer chipset. Not sure what the difference is, but for the price I figured I'd take a shot and if I didn't like it, at least it was a cheap mistake.

u/flowerling · 2 pointsr/CX5

I purchased from here. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HRMSX6W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_y7LFAbXEAVPRF The vanity lights don't always seem to come with, though...

u/NMavro75 · 2 pointsr/CX5

The first thing I upgraded was my lights. Makes my car automatically look a lot more luxurious.

BEFORE YOU BUY!

  1. these are not premium bulbs. Do they look good? Yes. Only one bulb has gone out in a year and a half. I purchased the exact same kit and when I replaced the one license plate bulb that went out, i noticed there is a slight shade of difference between the bulbs I bought a year and a half ago and the new ones. but when I first purchased the set of bulbs, they all looked the same color.
  2. I had to buy a separate cargo light. the one provided was not really bright especially with the dark interior. I had to special order it off an LED website. I forget where I got it. But I just looked for one that put out more light. It helped a lot.
  3. the license plate light cover takes a bit of force to pop off. I was scared at first to do it but it is fine. Just don't know you're going to need to apply a little bit of pressure to get it to pop off
u/nouvie · 3 pointsr/CX5

It's not a huge thing, but I've enjoyed this upgrade.

The cargo privacy cover is definitely worth the bucks.

When camping, be careful of draining your battery. I camped last week, charged 3 cell phones and played the radio for about 45 minutes at low volume, then didn't have enough juice to start the car in the morning. After a jump I had an error regarding the electronic parking brake (don't engage the brake if you're at risk of killing the battery while parked) - it went away after a couple of drives, but it had me a little worried.
