Nitrous is legal to possess, but illegal to use as an inebriant (in the US). I'm not sure what it's legal status in Mexico is.

I recommend getting a whipped cream dispenser like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Whipped-Dispenser-Aluminium-Whipper/dp/B01LXOTPEP/

Normally, these are used to make whipped cream at coffee shops or cake stores. You pour cream and sugar into the canister, then "charge" the canister with nitrous oxide. Nitrous chargers look like a CO2 cartridges, except they're filled with nitrous oxide instead of CO2. They typically come in boxes of 24. Once pressurized with nitrous charger, the cream and sugar mixture emerges as a thick cream foam when you pull the trigger.

However, for recreational purposes, you skip the whipped cream, and simply load the dispenser with pure nitrous oxide gas. You can then either suck the gas directly from the canister or blow up balloons with the gas. (If you use balloons, you can rebreathe the nitrous, which extends the experience and conserves on gas.) Punch balloons work well for this purpose:

https://www.amazon.com/Punch-Balloon-Sold-Individually-Colors/dp/B001F5P0OK

Balloons also make it easy to share the nitrous.

This video explains how to use it pretty well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfSqqs5SqZ0

As far as when to use it, I'd say it's good to use any time after you've come up. People tend to like it a lot, so be sure to stock many boxes and boxes of chargers, especially if it's a big party.

It has a very good safety profile. It's used as an anesthetic for children and old people. The main cause of injury is people who get wobbly and fall down. So, best to use in a padded environment, low to the ground. It has a low addiction potential (though I've known some people who got addicted). If you get addicted, the main risk is that you will suffer vitamin B12 depletion, which in turn leads to peripheral neuropathy (constant pain in fingers and toes). But you have to use boxes and boxes over months at a time for that to happen.

Visually, nitrous potentiates the effects of psychdelics/MDMA. Lights seem brighter, you often see tracers, and the whole world is bathed in a warm glow. It's very similar to the slo-mo scenes in the movie Dredd (note, some of the scenes in this clip are pretty violent):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0dyP-S10u0

I'm sure the directors of that movie have had LSD+nitrous.

Emotionally, it feels like you're in a state of bliss. Time slows so that it feels like you can hear every note of a song. All you can remember is being in this moment of bliss, and it feels like you will be in this moment of bliss forever.

u/ShootTheHostage · 2 pointsr/Paleo

There are various recipes out there but basically you take a can of full fat coconut milk and stick it in the refrigerator overnight. Open the can and scoop out just the thickened cream, not the water. Add a little vanilla and if you want, your paleo sweetener of choice like honey. Then start whipping. An electric mixer is easiest, but a whisk and some elbow grease work just as well.

You can also use a whipped cream maker/dispenser like this one. I got one recently and haven't tried it with coconut milk yet, but it works great for regular whipped cream. Just mix up whipped cream, pour in bottle, charge, and dispense. Super easy.

This person adds coconut oil to up the fat content for better whipping instead of refrigerating and only using the thickened cream. I plan on trying this soon.

Hope that helps.

I'm a big fan of the isi brand, they are far more proud of them, but I think they're worth the money and you can get parts for them if needed (I've never needed parts in 15 years)

We had the smallest size for years, with the thought that one doesn't need that much whip cream... but have now since acquired both a pint and quart size, you don't need more than a pint imho , so quick and easy to make more if you need it, like 1 minute tops. And the quart one needs like 2 nitrous chargers. We also use the isi chargers they are a bit more expensive, but is not enough to argue about it imho.

Our quick recipe is one cup heavy whipping cream and 2 packets of splenda, and a squirt of vanilla bean extract. You could probably get away without the splenda, and there is a carb in each packet, but we like it.

iSi 163001 Profi Professional Cream Whipper, 1-Pint https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003XNPGFA/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_07aczbXMKDKD8

Nielsen-Massey Vanillas 4-oz Pure Vanilla Bean Paste https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002HQE11O/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_RdbczbDBF17E8

We found the same vanilla locally in a smaller portion for less, but I'll probably buy this next time.

Stupid easy and good, so many things you can do with a whipper too, I've made chocolate malt whip cream that was amazing too... kalua flavored whip cream, really the list is endless.

On a side note, probably not a lot cheaper than rediwhip, but so much better tasting, and don't get me wrong I like rediwhip too!

u/hoppyspider · 2 pointsr/cocktails

I know this isn't specifically what you're asking about, but I recently made some infused concoctions with a whipper canister, kind of like this one with the n20 cartridges. Each infusion took 2 minutes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFtdD3UqnuA&t=3s

I made bacon and habanero infused vodka, meyer lemon/basil infused vodka, prickly pear infused tequila, lebanese pickled turnip infused vodka (made a very pretty pink colour, but my brain was confused when I made a test martini b/c it didn't taste pretty and pink lol).

Had some friends over and we tried a few more combinations (things became silly pretty quickly) - great fun. Swedish berries vodka, black licorice vodka infusions were also made.

It's lots of fun at a gathering.

You can definitely go way deeper with a canister and a carton of chargers.

I personally find it's too expensive and kind of boring on its own, but if you mix it with weed, any other disso, or any psyche, it's a great time. It's better for the occasional boost than anything else.

If you're gonna spring for the gear I'd recommend a good full metal canister off of amazon. Dealing with pressurized gas is always dangerous and plastic components are pretty notorious for wearing out and flying off. This is the one I use now:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074CQK96Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can get the nangs off amazon, too. There are cheaper options on ebay but folks report greasy/oily residue in some of the bulk orders and off-brands. Ultra-Purewhip is my go-to.

Finally, like any drug, there are some safety concerns. N2O can be used without too much risk but new users should go over the Dos and Don'ts, Where To Buy, How to Use, Dangers, and Deaths section of JustSayN2O (it's really short):

http://justsayn2o.com/nitrous.donts.html

Sorry if that's TMI lol

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Drugs

Whether you go for the LSD or not (seems what most people recommend), get Nitrous Oxide, my favourite "solo" drug. I tried it with groups of friends, but I find I enjoy it MUCH more alone. Shame about it's duration (less than one minute typically for one canister).

I've heard it's orders of magnitude more awesome in conjunction with LSD, but never got the chance to try LSD myself (although it works well in conjunction with every other drug there is, particularly psychedelic (or even semi psychedelic like weed or MDMA) drugs.

Although, hiding it might be a bit difficult, as you need heavy canisters (lots if them, a "few" is never enough :P ), and you need to discharge it into something else first (cream dispenser or baloons) and that will make quite a bit of noise. But there's no smell or mess to clean besides throwing the canisters in the bin (or preferrably recycle them)

Best thing is you can get them on amazon !

Tip: Get some b-complex pills if you plan on using a lot, take 2 or so before the session and same after the session (or the next day), as it depletes vitamin b12 after heavy prolonged use (a few weeks everyday or something like that). It's likely not an issue if you will use it a few times only, but better be safe than sorry.

u/DJ_Homestar · 1 pointr/Coffee

I've tried both... N2O essentially just turned my coffee into foam, and it took a very long time to reduce back into a liquid, and just didn't taste like nitro cold brew in the end, but rather just like the original cold brew.

N2, on the other hand, I was immediately was able to dispense as a liquid, and came out of the bottle with a nice amount of head on it, and cascading small bubbles in the coffee. Worth the slightly more expensive cartridges!

I also got a set of these tips from Amazon... I use the short one. I don't know if they're essential, but it seemed to help the output.

u/PuzzleboxSquid · 4 pointsr/xxketo4u2

Greetings and salutations!

I had decided that my in-office days would be perfect for longer IF sessions - I wouldn't have to pack a lunch, and have plenty of coffee and tea stashed at my desk. Had to work later than usual (on a Friday afternoon, gack) and ended up with 22 hours of fasting. I thought about going for a full 24 hours but screw that, I had leftover roasted spareribs in the fridge. I must confess that I officially broke the fast with a big spoonful of whipped cream (I bought this cream whipper and like it a lot), but yes, I did weigh and log it first!

Waiting in the fridge for the start of today's feeding time is some lovely turkey chili. I like beans in my chili so I added Eden black soy beans (3.5g net carbs for the entire 15oz can!) to extra-lean ground turkey, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chopped collard greens, and more chili powder than normal humans would consume. So yummy and so filling. It balances out those high-fat spareribs, too!

So about IF... yesterday I was grumbling to myself about why the hell I'm fasting and what's the point and so many people are doing fine on Keto without it and why am I giving up my morning coffee with cream and why did I recently start limiting myself to 1200 calories and I don't wanna do this anymore and... checks Cronometer trend chart for weight... oh yeah. I'm down 4 pounds since last week.

Forgot to drink ketoade yesterday. Paid for it last night. Owwwwwwww. I can deal with calf cramps and foot cramps (standing and stretching eases the pain) but cannot find a way to ease those intensely painful thigh cramps. They hurt far more than any other cramps, too. Any ideas?

u/GeoChem66 · 1 pointr/PLCB

I haven't tried many infusions, but its on my to do list and I plan on trying the techniques suggested by Jeffrey Morgenthaler. I saw that he infuses liquor and cocktails using an iSi gourmet whip plus. The device basically uses nitrous oxide to increase the partial pressure within a container to increase diffusion rates between solids and liquids. If you have his book, the method is covered in the section titled "Infusions of herbs, spices, and other ingredients" on page 127. You can also find a few of his vids where he uses the device to create Cadillac foams for topping cocktails. HERE is a fairly informative vid to illustrate the idea of using the device to rapidly infuse spirits.

Every time I do the Bourbon trail, I always bring back a bag of bourbon-soaked char. Basically, when they empty the barrels, pieces of char (bits of bourbon-soaked burnt white oak) empty from the barrel. This stuff is great for grilling (parts a bourbon wood flavor to meats) and I love using it in my home brew (bourbon barrel stouts). However, I’ve really wanted to use the char bits in the iSi whip to impart a barrel taste to Manhattans. Its on my to do list.

u/Vileness_fats · 3 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

40 whipped cream bottles? Yes. Taping one to each hand? No you facking amateur, just smoke a joint. Unless you;re taping the whipped cream bottes to your hands & then eating the whipped cream, in which case I salute your good work.
Also, FYI, if you are inhaling that sweet, sweet nitrous and not stealing it, just invest in a professional [whipped cream siphon] (http://www.amazon.com/iSi-Gourmet-Brushed-Stainless-Whipper/dp/B001U83TWW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398365364&sr=8-1&keywords=whipped+cream+siphon), a bag of balloons, and a few boxes of chargers. Sure, you can't tape the balloons to your hands but you do save some money over time.

u/nllpntr · 4 pointsr/Whatcouldgowrong

Ultra-Purewhip and Whip-It! brands seem to be most commonly used for huffing. The Whip-It! brand actually specifies that they use medical grade nitrous... for whipped cream. And check out the graphics. I'm amazed they get away with it.

edit: So this is fucked up, if anyone cares. Turns out I got really drunk after posting this last night... I must have either remembered this comment or looked at my comment history, because today I got a shipping confirmation email out of the blue for a big box of these, plus a canister. Thanks, Drunk Me, for ordering shit I don't really want, but will happily accept anyway. My weekend will now be hilarious.

u/bday420 · 2 pointsr/Drugs

I got this one on amazon for 30 bucks and is one of the most popular ones with great reviews. I love it.

u/theboylilikoi · 4 pointsr/tea

All you gotta use is a normal whipped cream canister and the N2O cartridges for it, which they sell nearly everywhere (I've found the cartridges at target before, but I usually get them on amazon). The N2O is pretty standard with these canisters, it's usually used for making whipped cream but has a bunch of cool other uses (evidently) :)

u/steve7713 · 1 pointr/Drugs

tried and it was fine. I don't have a cracker, I have one of these https://www.amazon.ca/Whipped-Cream-Dispenser-Liter-plastic/dp/B0008JGU9I type things so it expands a lot. and I don't open it all the way. It's not warm, but it's not cold either.

also, how much nitrous is safe to use? like can i go thru a box of 24 in a day? and do that like once a week?

u/Idoalotofwhippets · 1 pointr/Drugs

I recommend https://www.amazon.com/iSi-Professional-Whipped-Cream-Chargers/dp/B07LBQT112/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1C5RDHF540004&keywords=whip+cream+chargers&qid=1555317707&s=gateway&sprefix=whip+cr&sr=8-3 and use a actual whip cream dispenser crackers can freeze to your hand and just not worth it with the dispenser you can take a hit from it or fill a balloon remember to breath in between hits and have fun be safe

u/murfman713 · 2 pointsr/Drugs

ok thanks again man, looks like il be getting this [dispenser] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VOMHPS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2UHUUWMBAK5DN&psc=1) and these [charges] (https://www.amazon.com/iSi-0085-America-Chargers-Whippers/dp/B000638EXQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1502299408&sr=1-2&keywords=isi%2Bn20&th=1)

i notice the ISI cartridges are printed with "Austria" is this anything to worry about?

seem good to you? anything you recommend changing?

u/awake_but_asleep · 1 pointr/DrugStashes

People do it out of the can? Jesus.

Buy one of these from amazon, they're smaller and cheaper than the actual whip cream crackers and even easier to use. Just be careful not to freeze your hand like my friend did once.

Then get some of these from WalMart or London Drugs or Amazon

The real problem is finding a legit balloon dealer which can be tricky depending on where you live...

u/dunstbin · 2 pointsr/cocktails

Grab an ISI Whipper from Williams Sonoma or Amazon and flash infuse it with jalapeno or whatever else you like...takes about 1-2 minutes.

Instructions

I've done a peppercorn infused gin and a black tea infused vodka - comes out really, really well and you can use fresh ingredients instead of the artificial food flavorings most off-the-shelf liquors use.

You can also make really cool spirit-based foams as well.

u/apeschell · 2 pointsr/cafe

dirt cheap. be sure to get cartridges

put the air into a balloon and inhale/exhale into the balloon for about 10 seconds or until your vision vibrates. It's awesome.

u/kellaorion · 3 pointsr/WTF

For baking / cooking enthusiasts it makes more sense to buy a reusable canister [like this one ] (http://www.amazon.com/iSi-163001-Professional-Whipper-1-Pint/dp/B003XNPGFA/ref=pd_tcs_subst_k_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=06VTR2QY74PS874B5QY9) . The empty side to the right is where all those little canisters screw into. So really good fresh whipped cream at relatively cheap prices.

u/kaidomac · 1 pointr/AskCulinary

I have the 1-pint whip: (takes both nitrous oxide aka N2O & also CO2 cartridges for carbonation)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U83TWW

These injectors:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DTFSV0E/

These soda chargers:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00007JXR8/

These N2O chargers:

https://www.amazon.com/iSi-North-America-Chargers-24-Pack/dp/B073ZT7SV3

Although the new ones are like more than double the capacity:

https://www.amazon.com/N2O-Professional-Cream-Chargers-50-Pack/dp/B07L6TBQR4

It's one of those oddball kitchen gadgets that is somewhat expensive & niche, and has annoying recurring fees for the different cartridges, but you'll find yourself using it all the time for weird little projects...custom sodas, homemade whipped creams (dairy & non-dairy), modernist techniques like foams, etc.

If you're the type of person who likes to tinker in your kitchen & have the budget available, then it's a super-fun toy (tool) to have in your inventory. I use this & my Searzall on a weekly basis for all kinds of random stuff! I can dig up a list of things to try if you're looking for ideas!

u/nathaliev · 2 pointsr/keto

I just ordered this off Amazon (and some gas cans)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XNPGFA

This is cheaper than the Gourmet version but I think it should be fine for my needs.

Thanks guys!

Oh, good shit. Thanks man!

Ahahha i should sell these idividually to people for like 10. Guarantee people will pay! http://www.amazon.com/Leland-Nitrous-Oxide-Cream-Whippers/dp/B003BVUURI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344743222&sr=8-1&keywords=nitrous+oxide you do the math!

u/wtc99 · 3 pointsr/Coffee

Yes actually! this mason jar is what I like to use to steep. After you’ve done your steep for 20-24 hours you’re going to want this nitrogenated dispenser to actually aid in the “nitro” part. Both of which are relatively affordable considering you’re getting home made nitro cold brew.

u/CyborgSunset · 1 pointr/Drugs

Invest in a good dispenser. Spend over $50 and make sure it’s all stainless steel.

It’s a myth that you need to use a balloon, I have never used one when using a dispenser. But I always have invested in a dispenser worth having.

https://www.amazon.com/Whipped-Cream-Dispenser-Stainless-Steel/dp/B01DZ2HZ2U/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=whipped+cream+dispenser&qid=1570163518&sprefix=whipped+cream+&sr=8-6

Boss status.

u/some_keto_man · 2 pointsr/ketorecipes

Made two batches last night and froze them overnight. 8oz hwc and 2tbsp peanut butter (peanuts and salt only) and another of 8oz hwc and 2tbsp coconut butter. Came out as hard blocks so popped them out of containers and cut off some. It is ok. I wouldn't do again without sugar substitute. I am staying away from sugar substitutes for now so have to shelve this idea for awhile.

If I were to do it again with sugar substitute and freeze it I think it would be best to use a Cream Whipper and do dollop on a cookie sheet and freeze.

Cream Whipper (idea): https://www.amazon.com/Impeccable-Culinary-Objects-ICO-Professional/dp/B003VOMHPS

Cococnut Butter I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BN19938

I'll stick to eating a spoonful of peanut butter or coconut butter out of the jar until I am ready to incorporate sugar substitutes.

To note this isn't the standard whipped cream cans people buy in the supermarket, but instead a high end make your own whipped cream style of dispenser which uses a replaceable gas canister to create the whip effect. Like these type of things - https://www.amazon.com/iSi-1-Pint-Gourmet-Culinary-Whipper/dp/B001U83TWW

Amazon. Just a standard whip cream dispenser. https://www.amazon.com/EurKitchen-Professional-Dispenser-Reinforced-Durability/dp/B017XZYC2Q

They’re a nifty kitchen tool - make whipped cream or mousse instantly, infuse oils, or even infuse oils into something...there are a lot of cool uses for them. Chargers are relatively inexpensive if you buy a few dozen.

u/bc2zb · 2 pointsr/Paleo

I would recommend a isi whipping siphon over a soda stream. You can use nitrous and carbon dioxide chargers in them, so you get seltzer and whipped cream. There are also hundreds of paleo friendly recipes you can make in these things, and it is still cheaper than buying seltzer a bottle at a time.

Ok I could only get it to appear from this link. It is in the sponsored similar item list.

I wonder if you try, you should reduce the water content of the batter. When making a pancake on a pan, it "rises" through water bubbling and evaporating.

You won't have the same effect with a sous vide unless the water is at boiling temps... but a fun idea would be to place the batter inside a whipped cream dispenser (like below) and dispense the batter into a mason jar or something so the batter is aerated. You'd have more of a sponge cake than a pancake but you can always broil it after.

he put this into the miso broth. with a smashed suevied egg.

Would it make any sense to run a vg/pg/flavoring mix through a process similar to that of a whipped cream dispenser ( https://www.amazon.com/Whipped-Cream-Dispenser-Stainless-Steel/dp/B01DZ2HZ2U/ref=pd_lpo_79_tr_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2BH32W53VWG8RHHD977Y )

In theory to me, it seems like it would be a quick technique for rapidly dispersing/mixing a solution very evenly

Thats the cost locally here, my friend used to do it, and said it was about the same price from when he lived on the other side of the state. It makes sense that it would be cheaper from ebay or other sources because they could just get it from a country that doesn't restrict it at all.

u/Bandikoto · 6 pointsr/Coffee

New, $38. They'll get you for the chargers as well. If you decide that you like this (or fresh-made whipped cream (which beats the pants off of the stuff in the dairy case at the supermarket)), you can find bulk packs of chargers at your local "tobacco accessory store".

You want a regular 20 ounce paintball canister, and the Taprite regulator that is specifically designed to thread right into one. Realistically 1 pound of CO2 will do 1/2 barrel of beer, so a 20 ounce canister will last you a bunch of fills, so while the initial outlay is like 75 bucks (for the tank and the unit) you're looking at like 1-2 dollars if that per blanket you lay down. MUCH cheaper than buying the one shots.

If you don't brew that much, get a Whipped Cream dispenser (doesn't have to be that one, ANY of them will work) and then get disposable creme charges. N2O is also heavier than air (like CO2) so you'll get your blanket.

u/Apocalypse-Cow · 10 pointsr/AskCulinary

Get a whipped cream dispenser. Try to resist huffing the n2o Lol

u/pineapplecharm · 8 pointsr/television

Just FYI, Whip-it is a brand of gas-powered cream whipping devices. Whippets are a breed of skinny, fast-running dogs.

u/CleverNameHere13 · 3 pointsr/ThriftStoreHauls

Looks like it could be a whipped cream maker, minus the cartridge and the nozzle the cream comes out of.

I use one of these^
I always make sure to take breaths of air inbetween nitrous inhales.

u/gegtik · 1 pointr/Coffee

well, at 4 double-shots per cartridge, you are looking at approx 14c / shot.

If you get a $150 Twist instead of a $650 Rancilio Silvia, you will have to make over 3500 espressos before the cost evens out. It's not worth obsessing over the minute cost difference per shot when the device itself is so much cheaper

u/AMorpork · 9 pointsr/funny

Yeah, you can buy the canisters (on amazon no less!) they use to charge them with.

Edit: Teehee.

u/pungentbubble · 1 pointr/keto

Buy a whipper, you'll eat hwc daily. A whipper is one of those dealies that you pour the cream in then add nitrous oxide from a can. You the get whipped cream out and it's so good!

They look reasonable - MyPressi sells them for 24 cans @ $16 when in stock

You can also use whip-its which are just over 50 cents each

Anytime. Right before you k-hole is pretty wicked too.

I put 1 - 3 Nitrous chargers into a Whip cream dispenser and inhale

u/The_Kief_Chief · 1 pointr/Drugs

I don't know man...move to Seattle. I saw people hitting the cracker in public areas quite commonly during my years living there, as nitrous is extremely commonly sold in like every smoke shop around the city and they advertise the fuck out of it; There's even a big cardboard cut-out person holding a whip cream canister advertising it (https://www.amazon.com/Whip-It-Whipped-Cream-Chargers-50-Pack/dp/B001MUJHKG It's a life-sized cutout of the girl on this box )

The vagrants who can't afford nitrous chargers are sitting on the sidewalk huffing cans of spray paint...another thing that I came across more than one time. But yeah man, there are lots of empty chargers laying around the city.

u/Costco1L · 6 pointsr/Cooking

Making the mouse in a whipped cream canister would make a disturbingly accurate poo-moji.

What is your plan for the eyes, white and dark chocolate?
