I have been doing research on Chargepoint level 2 home charger. Its weather proof and if you install the 220v 32A version you can charge your car in 2 hours.

I only had my Prius Prime for a week now, hybrid works well. Drive in B mode and plan out your trips so you can charge at your destination. For example, we started to go to Target because they have a Chargepoint station. We shop for about 2 hours and by the time we get back to the car is fully charged. We can do all of our shopping using EV only.

>Toyota service centers only?

I got the extended maintenance plan so yes for me only Toyota service.

>Get that extended warranty or no?

I got the 7 year extended maintenance because I already know how much the dealer ship will charge for normal maintenance. I just want to have the peace of mind knowing everything is covered and did not want to deal is any issues. Plus if you get it during purchase I believe its at a bigger discount. Because I sign up for it the dealer ship gave me LoJack for free and 72 month financing 0 APR.

>Any reassurance that I made the right choice not waiting for the 2018?

I was thinking the something, at the moment you have a big advantage because they are trying to sell off the rest of the 2017 to make room for the 2018 models. I want to say you have more power to haggle, for example I was able to get 72 month 0 APR financing, free LoJack and $3000 off the asking price because I mention the local special and because I was prior military.

I was skeptical at first because the reviews said that it spins and that it doesn’t fit an Elantra but after taking the plunge it works perfectly. Fits exactly like it’s supposed to and doesn’t spin at all. Mine is hand tight and can still move but does not spin. Took maybe 10 mins to install because it has multiple mounting points so you can get it exactly where you want it. I have mine on the farthest left hole in the middle.

I have personalized plates so I wax them every time I do the car to keep them looking nice and provide a bit of UV protection. Now I'm wondering if you can ceramic coat them...

I found the horn to be way too wimpy so I replaced the stock one with this PIAA pair.

I also didn't want to screw my plates straight through the front bumper or directly against the back bumper so I put on license plate brackets that I think make it look much nicer.

I took the advice from a bunch of folks on the subaruoutback.org forums and put in a new 19mm sway bar. It was a pretty easy install, but honestly I can't tell if the drive is better or it's just a placebo effect.

Then just a couple of simple quality of life things just because:

• ProClip phone mount that I put right over the hazard lights button. No issues with the EyeSight that I've experienced.
  
• Water bottle cup holder adapter to hold my 40 oz hydroflask
  
• Seat gap filler because my phone likes to slide under the seat

Almost certainly is not following the law and preferential treatment is given due to owning a high-end car.

First, I'm kind of intrigued as to what kind of car it is. You don't here about too many numbered cars anymore.

Second, you do have a few options. I also wanted to protect my bumper from drilling holes and I got a piece of foam and zip tied the plate to the grill. Can definitely be done in a way that doesn't look bad.

Your other option is to get something like this I've seen all sorts of these, and you can even get ones that will retract or extend from inside the car.

Companies also make front plate mounts that utilize existing holes in the bumper.

1. License plates! Because I like the aesthetic of lots of license plates all in one place.
   
2. My old roommate's parents covered their bar in license plates, and I got the idea to one day do the same. So I am collecting and one day, I will have enough (and have my own bar in my own house to cover in license plates!)

Then I did some c-shaped drl since I have leds in my high beams and the factory drl doesn't work with leds, but then the c-shaped drl didn't work for a little bit so I bought the drl turn signals, and then the previous c-shaped ones started working again. I had my rims done by a local company, they are the factory 16" painted gloss black. My mazda emblem is actually a long story, but essentially it is just scuffed up with sand paper ready to be painted but I liked the look and stuck it back on the way it is. I have also installed car play, and 3D printed a shift knob. The factory bose system was a little lacking and put a small under seat sub in to help fill the sound, but am still not happy with it, so that's a future project.

The STO-N-SHOW retractable license plate bracket is always recommended when people don't want to drill their bumper but I've been thinking about a different method.

Check out the tow hook on u/tlenzen76's car. You could mount something like one of these license plate brackets in the tow hook location instead. That would only require a hole in the grill and then you could easily replace your license plate with a tow hook if you go racing or to a car show. The plate wouldn't block the radiator or intercooler in that location either.

What do you guys think? I'm already going to install the front tow hook on my car so I can have one when I join SCCA this spring and I'm thinking of taking off my front license plate bracket and filling the holes so I can switch to this method.

I'm in Ohio with a new to me Passat GT (we're ditching front plates in July 2020) and bought some silicone frames that I'm gonna finagle with some zip ties till then. Not the most elegant probably, but maybe it works fine. Honestly I see a lot people with a front plate on their dash too.

They only adhere to the top. Just get a new plate holder that only has the top 2 holes. It looks a lot cleaner. No need to drill unnecessary holes. Two works fine. Something like this is what I got and works great.

It just screws in, super easy, with no modifications to your bumper.

You'll need to get a tow hook plate mount like this one if you want to mount the plate there instead of the bumper. You can buy one from multiple online retailers.

If you go that route, be sure to tell the dealer not to drill the bumper and bring the mount and any necessary tools with you when you pick up up the car. Depending on your state's laws the dealer may not let you leave with the car without the front plate mounted.

My dealer wouldn't install the tow hook mount for me, but did honor my request that they not drill my bumper as long as I installed the plate before I drove off.

I had a custom license plate stolen from my car many years ago. Not sure if someone stole the plate to re-use or if they were just being an asshole. After I reported the plate stolen it was effectively blacklisted and I had to choose a new plate.
