I wonder if ginger beer has the same effect? If you're willing to give it a shot, try to find a good one like Bundaberg. There are other brands, but this one is by far the best. Also, don't confuse ginger beer with ginger ale. Both are non-alcoholic, made of ginger, and contain lots of sugar, but ginger beer has much stronger ginger flavor.

Drink zero/low calorie energy drinks. All the major brands have them.

You can do the same thing with soda actually. I find the ten calorie sodas to be particularly tasty. Amazon has some novelty ones like Canfield's Soda Chocolate Fudge Diet that are also worth a look.

Coca-Cola- Regular flavor and calories.
Coke Zero- Sugar free version of classic Coca-Cola. Aspartame used as the artificial sweetener.
Diet Coke- Sugar free version of a different recipe of Coca-Cola, the recipe of New Coke. Aspartame used as the articmfici sweetner.

Also:
Coca-Cola Life- 50% sugar free version of classic Coca-Cola. It mixes cane sugar and Truvia (artificial seasoned made from Stevia extract).

Well, it is a turkish soft drink, imo one of the best soft drinks in the world. Here is the link. If you ever go to a turkish restaurant/fast food location, try to look for it, they have the best taste while in a can.

Got it from the drink machine at the Pinball Hall of Fame, $2, but it's a non-profit and the best pinball room in the world. Found a case on Amazon for $8.

It's sold at most grocery stores here. The brewery is out of Glendale, Wisconsin (Milwaukee area) and small, so it doesn't have a huge range.

  The label says to drink in moderation. I think the price helps that. But I really like their pops, especially the cranberry-cherry flavor.

To add to this, Fever Tree is a great, very spicy ginger beer. The Moscow Mule copper mug is required equipment as well. My mixing method is to fill the mug half way with ice, cover it with a decent vodka, dump the whole ginger beer in and then squeeze some lime in.

Also, honey-blended whiskey and diet coke actually makes a pretty damn good Jack-n-Coke.

There is a caffeine free version of coke zero, does your can also have gold lettering instead of red like this?

A&W is the most common brand but personally I think Barqs is the best not that there is a gigantic difference in taste between each brand anyway though.

I haven't tried the Sierra Mist Mandarin Orange, but have you tried Hansen's Mandarin Lime? I assume they'd taste the same. I really like the Hansen's one. I've gotten it from Trader Joe's, Target, and Safeway. I'm sure they're available elsewhere. If you cannot find it at a local store, you could try Amazon.
