Top Reddit comments about Men's Underwear Briefs:

I definitely prefer boxer briefs, trunks, and briefs over boxers! Here are the things I find better:

  • The fabric stays out of the way
  • Everything stays in place
  • No wedgies or weird bunching
  • No muffin forming over my pants
  • No accidental "noose" formation
  • No need to awkwardly try to fix my underwear
  • Slimmer, more flattering profile
  • Makes me feel a little sexier (and it's nice to return the favor for women, who often wear sexier underwear for us)
  • Nothing bounces or flops around
  • Never feel worried or self-conscious about random or non-random erections
  • Shorts and pants glide over the fabric better during movement because it's smoother
  • No chafing
  • Not in middle school anymore, so it's actually kind of nice just to feel liberated from the weird social pressure to wear boxers (this was a thing where I grew up and is the reason it took me so long to even try boxer briefs and briefs)
  • The gentle compression just plain feels nice

Obviously nobody can promise that you'll feel the same way! It's not like boxers are "wrong," and it's entirely possible that you never experienced some or all of the issues I had with them. If you want to wear boxers, then cool, wear boxers.

But yeah, when I finally tried a pair of boxer briefs, it was like an epiphany. None of the bad things I'd been taught to expect (too tight, too constrictive, wedgies, look dumb, etc) actually happened, and the boxer briefs (and trunks and briefs) were actually better than boxers in a lot of those regards. I could hardly wait to finish phasing out all my boxers.

The only reason I waited so long was because at my school growing up, all the boys socially policed each others underwear. It was homophobic and stupid. After I finished all my required P.E. classes and didn't have to deal with the school locker rooms anymore, I still waited a long time to try something other than boxers.

Hilariously, the only reason I eventually tried at all was because my favorite character from my favorite show happened to usually wear black compression shorts. That indirectly gave me a kind of "permission" to even consider the idea, and eventually led to me giving boxer briefs a try. Man, I wish I hadn't waited so long. There was a huge difference in comfort for me, and I immediately realized how stupid it was that we'd all cared so much about what others thought about our underwear. It made me mad, and that's why I looked into this topic as much as I have and why I'm bothering to write all this.

I can't imagine going back to boxers and I still have a bit of a chip on my shoulder about all the years of peer pressure during K-12. Maybe it's weird to care so much, but whatever. Maybe you can relate to the peer pressure to wear boxers back in K-12, maybe not. That's my story.

Anyway, here are some suggestions to help make sure that you'll have a good experience when you give it a try. And this way, if you don't like them, then you can be more confident that it's not because you just happened to pick a bad pair to try.

    Recommended Pairs

  • Mosmann Nero Boxer Briefs: My current favorite. I absolutely love these. You can get these in multipacks, but it gets expensive fast.
  • Original Penguin Boxer Briefs: Easily the best affordable multipack. Even better than most pairs that cost three times as much.
  • 2(X)IST Cotton Stretch No Show Briefs: Incredibly comfortable briefs that fit me just right. Probably my current favorite briefs.
  • Calvin Klein Cotton Stretch Hip Briefs: Also great, and from a brand that you probably already trust.

    Good Online Stores

  • Freshpair: Large selection across all price points, but not curated very well. (Better curation than Amazon though.)
  • Underwear Expert: Smaller selection in the mid-to-high price range, but highly curated. Note that you don't need to sign up for their subscription service in order to buy from them.

    Other Tips

  • When the description talks about "support," they mean a few different things. They're talking about lifting your junk into a comfortable position, keeping it all in that position without bouncing or flopping around, and keeping erections under control (so that you don't ever feel self-conscious).
  • When the description says there is a "pouch," that means that the front is shaped specifically to hold your junk to increase comfort and support, and also to round out the bulge for aesthetic reasons. Your junk will come slightly forward (where everything naturally "wants to be") instead of being pushed down and back.
  • To cater to different preferences, pouches range from smoothed to rounded to pronounced to daring to scandalous. Most of what's out there is on the modest half of the spectrum.
  • Although most people prefer some amount of pouch, there are still plenty of people who prefer no pouch at all or don't care enough to pay more (since designs with pouches tend to cost a bit more). There's not really a name for this, so I'll just call it flat/pouchless. There's no cupping because that front is just flat, so everything just kinda ends up pushed down and your junk can move around a bit more because nothing really cupping it to hold it in one place. This style won't eliminate bulge, and in fact isn't really aiming to control your bulge at all. Instead, your thighs will stretch the center fabric taut, which is what hides and makes a big empty space for your bits. It's kind of like a flat-roofed tent.
  • This might seem like a big leap, but if you end up liking form-fitting underwear, then you should try form-fitting swimwear at least once in your life. Jammers and swim briefs were another revelation for me that I didn't try until college. Go to your local indoor pool during lap swim hours, and do a few laps in your regular baggy swimsuit. Then, try a lap in a pair of jammers or swim briefs. It's crazy different. The jammer should feel a lot better, and the swim briefs should feel dramatically better. At least, that was my experience.

I can't believe I just wrote more than 7,200 characters about all this, but whatever. I hope you find it useful.

Edit: /u/RoundCustard, I also wrote all this for your benefit.

I always wear men's underwear and haven't experimented with anything else. In terms of widely available things that you can find in most stores, I personally like low-rise fashion briefs. (They're a little harder to find than the mid-rise ones, they're useful though because a lot of short shorts are lower-waisted and mid-rise briefs will show above the top of them, awkwardly.) Here's a link I'm kinda between two sizes and I pick the smaller size and they hold things in place just fine. My second-best choice is sports briefs, which are looser and more breathable, but generally still keep things in place. Like, this link shows some.

I've found that these always keep everything in place...the only risk is like, your underwear itself spilling out of the shorts if they're super short.

Also some tips for buying the shorts themselves:

  • If the shorts are super short, make sure whatever you buy is very snug around the leg. This can be a challenge because AFAB people tend to have thicker thighs than AMAB people, but I've always been able to find stuff. Stretchy fabric is your friend. The shorter the leg/inseam, the more snug it needs to be.
  • Don't buy anything with the inseam so short that it's shorter than your underwear. Look at the width of the narrowest part of your underwear, and then buy stuff with an inseam just long enough that it is longer than that.
  • Try larger junior's sizes (odd numbers). Not all brands do this, some brands still use even numbers and have the "junior's" fit or shape, but in general when you have both in the same brand, the junior's sizes will usually be better at fitting AMAB bodies because they're made for people with less hips and narrower thighs.
  • If you're concerned about having a big visible bulge in front and it looking awkward, look for shorts made of a sturdier, stiffer fabric, like denim. With stiffer fabric, finding the exact right fit can be more important.
  • If you have problems with not enough room for junk, try finding something with a slightly looser fit, and then wearing a belt to keep it in place. Denim and khaki shorts can both look super cute with a belt, and you can do different styling...like casual canvas belts with a pattern, or a brown leather belt which is pretty universal and can be more casual or a little more dressy.
  • If you're new to short shorts, maybe start gradual. Women's shorts have a full range of lengths...go for something mid-thigh if you're not used to wearing that, then gradually go a little shorter as you get more comfy.
  • When you're trying on shorts, sit cross-legged and see what happens. This is the position most likely to make things spill out in awkward or uncomfortable ways, or most likely to let people see your underwear. If the shorts fit and are comfortable both when standing and sitting this way, and nothing is awkwardly visible when you're sitting cross-legged, you're good to go, you can pretty much prance around all you want all day long and they'll be fine.

Just try on lots and lots of stuff...don't be shy. Seriously when I look for shorts I go to thrift stores and I might try on 4-7 pairs and sometimes I don't buy anything at all...other times I find a bunch of stuff I look cute in. The more you try on the more you'll get an idea of how it fits and how to find what you're looking for!

And remember, women's sizing is ridiculous. I've bought shorts in sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 that all fit nearly identically. When you find your size, look a little higher and lower too, especially if you're in a thrift store that has different brands on the same rack. Look at the size of the actual item, I find once I find one item that fits I hold it up to others to compare sizes because it's more reliable than that number.

    Good luck!

I am currently living in my parents home where I'm not out and face a lot of the same issues. I'm going to try to compile things that I've done in the past couple years:

  1. Straight cut men's jeans work really good for a more androgynous look. If you are worried about wearing them or other androgynous clothing at home feel free to change in the car or at the school when you get there. I've done both in the past and it has worked out fine (obviously change somewhere fairly discreet if doing so in the car).

  2. Men's briefs look a lot like women's underwear and work well if you're worried about washing clothing that other people might find laying around. It helps with dysphoria a ton, it was a huge turn around for me with handling stuff while at home. The kind I get is Fruit of the Loom and doesn't have a hole in the front so you can pack with them too, I've never needed a seperate packing device to use with my xs Mr. Limpy when using these briefs, and you can get them at walmart in packs of like five or six I think.

  3. I ship all my binders, packers, sex toys... really anything that I don't want my mom to see (band t-shirts even) to one of my friends who I'm out to. You can look into a post office box or amazon locker but remember that the best binders (GC2B and Underworks) are not shippable to an amazon locker. Both GC2B and Underworks ship in discreet, awesome packaging but my mom "accidentally" opens almost all my mail and has hidden medical bills from me before so I know that she intentionally reads and looks into things. Shipping to a friend is much safer. If you don't have a friend in the area look into your local trans or lgbt groups and find someone there. You probably don't have stores in your area that sell binders unless you're in a super lgbt positive area (there aren't many tbh).

  4. I handle community college by emailing all my profs before the semester, explaining that my preferred name is Mat and my preferred pronouns are he/him. If they give me a hard time I usually end up dropping the class and starting it again with a better teacher. I gave up on powering through classes where the teacher misnames me after the first two weeks. Misgendering is different, but that's because I know I still present super fem and the rest of the class doesn't know I'm trans. A second part to this is that you have to have a thick skin if you want to handle community college as a trans individual who isn't out and isn't able to change their legal name yet. Online stuff is still going to have your name in it. Your school email might have your name in it. People are going to be confused at some point. There WILL be people who try though and make it so much more worth it--half my class is calling me she/her right now and there's one guy who sits right in front of me and always corrects himself to he/him when speaking out loud about my opinion on stuff in class. It makes my day every time.

  5. See if your campus has counseling and if not look into getting some, even if it's not specifically gender related. Find someone who is LGBT friendly. Living in a place that does not accept you while you are out at other places is super exhausting, stressful, and anxiety-provoking. As a college student and young adult you already have a lot on your plate. Try to get as much outside support as possible, whether that's the online community, a counselor or therapist, or your local LGBT community.

Good luck with it all. Stay safe! Let me know if you have any questions about anything specifically with coming out at school/hiding things/etc. I've lived at home for two years, had a few weird experiences with my mother, but overall still making it and have six more months to go.

As a traveler, I’ve been on the search for good underwear for years. I’ve tried just about everything: boxers, boxer briefs, briefs, commando. I wore boxers for most of my life, but I’ve spent the last two years in SE Asia, and I’ve found that the extra material bunches up and gets sweaty. I tried the popular ExOfficio briefs but they didn’t live up to the hype. They didn’t breathe as well as I’d hoped, the waistband was uncomfortable, and there wasn’t enough room in the “pouch,” leaving my junk smashed together and sweaty. I’ve tried merino wool and synthetics.

Finally, I stumbled across the perfect pair. I found these briefs that separated the frank from the beans, allowing for more breathing room. I’ve never seen this design before so I was intrigued (when was the last time there’s been an innovation in men’s underwear?). I ordered a 4-pack and found that the material was breathable and soft, the waistband was comfortable. These are now the only underwear I wear. I’ve recommended them to all of my friends. Friends who’ve tried them call them a life changer. You can find them on Amazon by searching “David Archy Men's 4 Pack Micro Modal Separate Pouch Briefs.” Here's the link.

Hopefully this helps some of you guys out. I wish I’d known about these a long time ago.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I’m not an affiliate or connected to this company in any way. They didn’t send me samples to test. I’m just a really big fan!

So there a couple solutions depending on your size and much atrophy you may have had so far.

Leo Lines is an esty store which sells cute panties specifically designed for trans women. They have extra material in the front for added support and to help flatten out the area. They are however, on the pricey side.

I've also heard positive things about aeries in terms of being cute and having support. I've never tried them personally, as I don't think I'd fit, but others seem to like them.

They're pretty ugly, but my first underwear that found a middle ground were bikini style men's underwear from Fruit of the Loom . The cut makes them less masc, but they still have ample room in the front. They don't cause any flatness, but that makes them more comfortable.

If I'm going for flatness, I personally like this thong from Glamour Boutique. It's technically a cross dressing store, but those undies aren't ostentatious at all. I just got my orchi, so I'm hoping wearing these gets a lot more comfortable!

u/three-bees · 2 pointsr/ftm

I also have the EZP. I have had it for about 3 weeks I think. I found the Bonds underwear that Alex recommends for about $10 a pair with free shipping to the U.S. on orders over $25. This is way cheaper than getting them from the actual Bonds website. Here is the link: http://www.zodee.com/mens/underwear/briefs/p11687-bonds-guy-front-mens-brief#.Vqg8EpMrLaY
I am still waiting for mine to arrive so I cannot say how much I like them yet. I can let you know though.

I also own the same boxer briefs from Target that the OP suggested, and I honestly think wearing the EZP with briefs is far more comfortable/works better. But that's just me, and I know some people don't like wearing briefs.

While I was waiting for the Bonds underwear to come I ordered these briefs on Amazon, which are a cotton stretch blend similar to Bonds, and seemed to have a similar fly design. Plus they are pretty cheap - the same price as the Target ones actually. I really like them. They work great for packing with the EZP. I don't know how they compare to the Bonds yet though. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Bunker-Underwear-Attitude-Brief-Red/dp/B00BUI6C4E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453866032&sr=8-1&keywords=bunker+underwear

Hope this helps someone!

Fruit of the loom bikini briefs a friend got me these 2014 Christmas as a joke but they fit so I tried them and the fit is quite nice. The waist band has lasted much longer then the fabric as some holes after about a year and a half but by then I was ready for the next size down.

7/10
Could be better if the colors could be picked and you don't get the pack with lime green.

  • SwimOutlet is really great, try searching by your favorite color, I'm sure you'll find one you love.

  • If money is no object, International Jock has a great selection.

  • Cheap Undies is also worth checking out for good deals.

  • Amazon has a lot of options. Safe brands would be Speedo, Nike, Addias, Diesel, 2xist, TYR, Cleaver, Tor, Candyman, and of course anything that sounds or looks familiar.

The idea is that the cloth all matches except that the panties are a contrasting color bc with this VK sweater it's possible for them to peek out and have the attention drawn to them. Also the choker is for you top fell and know it's there but only hobby at top the outside by having the clasp chain jujitsu looking enough to hang out from the sweater neck slightly. The shoes are simple cute and black or some other contrasting color to the outfit, but match make up to it if you are wearing any. Allo would be a great outfit for a plug, cage or both

u/2DeathPaws · 2 pointsr/chastitytraining

So I just purchased this cage and I think the base ring and main cage are both a tad too big. The ring right now can be adjusted from 55mm to 45mm, and I can slip out with a little effort even on the smallest setting. I’ve been looking at getting another cheap cage like this or this, but I’m not sure how small I should go. Would a 40mm or even 36mm base ring be better? The cage I have now slides around a lot on the 45mm setting, and the lock digs in to the top of the silicon cage, which has caused a little bruising, but I think that would be fixed if I got a different cage with a smaller base. I really like chastity so far, so I’d be pleased to get some feedback here.

I wear trunks they have like 2 inch inseam? just short enough to fit under most short shorts. Briefs are also an option.

I have these. They are nylon and CK brand so a bit pricey but sometimes they go for $12-15 on amazon, I have found them for $8 at Marshalls. They are incredibly soft and feel amazing. Even wearing skintight leggings nothing shows up. but that might be a case by case basis since my junk is not that big in the first place. Well I feel like those undies pouch area prevents any bits from being outlined.

I was looking at some of those as well and decided to order a pair, I didn’t get that exact pair but the ones I got are fairly decent. The hidden pocket is an actual zipper and is decently big and stretchy as well as comfortable. The pocket is big enough to fit my IPhone X although I’m sure that’s because it’s just stretchy. This right here!!!

I bought 2 packs (8 briefs) 2 years ago and they’re beasts!! I bought briefs instead of boxer briefs because boxer briefs always ride up imo, especially when working out. Aside from the being extremely comfortable, the simple idea of having a cock-slot is a game changer for me.
I wear them daily and that includes 5+ mile runs and there has be zero signs of wear. I got a good deal on them because i bought them either on Amazon day or Black Friday. So I’m obviously looking to stock up in a few weeks.

u/Kapsize · 5 pointsr/MDMA

Gooching them is always the best option (place/tape/secure them in the area below or anywhere around your privates). It's the only place you can hope to not get fully groped by security and is a grey-area for a lot of people because it's obviously not okay to just touch someone's privates. If you're super paranoid then get some of these stash boxer briefs.

u/Hiply_tragic · 4 pointsr/SissyChastity

I bought some of these recently, they fit nicely with the pouch up front. My wife loves it when I wear them, she likes how soft they feel.

Hey guys, I have a basically new 3rd generation Emisil STP for sale. It's 4.3" long, circumcised, skin tone S08 (see here for color reference: https://www.emisil.com/stp-packer-3rd-generation.html). Looks super realistic, it's hand-painted, and the balls are really fun to play with :) I only wore it for about 10 minutes, I found that having a visible bulge makes me more self-conscious and just wouldn't be comfortable wearing it from day to day. Cost with shipping was $530 new... I'm hoping for $400 but am open to reasonable offers.

I also have a 4-pack of size small (28-30" waist) David Archy separate pouch briefs (these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DYQ69EI/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). These have separate "compartments" for cock and balls and are pretty useful for packing with an STP; unfortunately, they were a little too big for me so have only been worn to try them on. These sell for $27 new, make me an offer.

I will gladly help you, I bought them for her for Christmass off of Amazon. There are so many other options, those are just one of the three I have already bought. I plan to buy more, and I hope other sissies will, too.

I've run a number of times while wearing my Omega. The weight feels pretty damned good to me, causing my junk to bounce and sway as I run. But my balls ride high and tight, so there's not a ton of movement going on, in comparison to a guy who might hang very low. I'd definitely want to wear a ring that's nice and tight. I could see a loose ring making things uncomfortable, and possibly slipping if you get extremely sweaty.

For the record, I was running in Calvin Klein Men's Iron Strength Micro Hip Briefs, which are very supportive, and a pair of Gore running/cycling tights. Damn my bulge looked big in tights!!!

This is what I wear when I want to be flat down there. Its super effective and holds everything down flat. Even if there is a bulge, its not that significant. you can wear this with tight pants and skirts, personally.

speakeasy briefs - They work nice for sneaking flasks and other things into the fest. But if you're someone who wears rather snug shorts, it becomes a bit uncomfortable...

That one may be out of OP's price range. Is so, there are cheaper ones with keys. I bought one like this from The Reject Shop (Aus equivalent of Poundland or similar cheapo stores) for about $10 as I had issues with someone taking my opiate medication.

If you think your mum might know all your hiding places, you can buy socks or underpants with zips to stash your cash & cards when you're asleep or out of the house.

It sucks that OP's mum is a thief. I mean it, OP. Hit me up for a free Steam game from my Inventory. It might not be Overwatch, but it might help.
