Anytime man. I’d love to help. Soft tops are pretty easy to install. What kind did ya go with?

I also saw you were shopping for bumpers. I went with these, they weren’t to pricey and I was very impressed with the quality.

These fender flairs were also an awesome purchase, super cheap and awesome quality for the money.

Hey guys, this is my new 2013 jeep wrangler sport. Not sure what I am going to name him just yet. I got an awesome deal on it. It already came with so much stuff on it. This is my first jeep wrangler so not sure if the name for some of the parts will be correct.

2.5 in lift sitting on 35’s

Winch

Snorkel

Front bumper

Upgraded sub and amp

Back jack

Running boards

Here is a list of mods I want to put on in the near future:

-Smittybilt xrc textured fenders

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EOZH9S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

-Smitybilt xrc rear bumper (will my spare tire fit on this it’s a 35??)

https://www.amazon.com/Smittybilt-76855-Textured-Bumper-Receiver/dp/B003EOTTUG/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1543072620&sr=1-2&keywords=smittybilt+rear+bumper&refinements=p_89%3ASmittybilt

-Better headlights

-headlights and taillight guards

-winch cover (the one it came with is super faded)

-black grille inserts

-black hood clasps

All this is running me under 800 dollars

If anyone has any better recommendations for any of the parts listed that would be a huge help! Thanks everyone.

u/DIMM1033 · 2 pointsr/Nissan

I've picked up allot of parts on amazon for cheap. The nice thing about amazon, is if you set your car model/type/year it tells you if the part is compatible or not.

You can for instance go to side mirrors, click filter, and get results. Lots of people sport them without even bother painting them.

To install a replacement bumper your going to have to take the tire wells liners out. I really recommend, getting replacement support pins. Because your going to break some, some won't snap back in right. extra.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BEB4EEC

You could use a screw driver to pop the support pints out. But it's allot easier, and faster if you get a Clip Plier & Fastener Remover

If the bumper is already loose on the left or right side. You'll probable need new left & right bumper clips.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7XWAF6
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7XVUOI

Sense your taking out the tire well liners, you might just want to replace them. They're like 26 bucks for both.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009DJT67W

If you check under the bumper, you'll probable find the flaps on the tire well liners have ripped off the bumper. (this happens because people scrape underside of the bumper while parking)

Hi-Lift jacks are really designed for agricultural applications, like jacking up a wheel tractor by the axle, but they work great for off-road vehicle stuff. However, the jack does not mate with typical "civilian" bumpers well. 4 Wheel Drive Parts, Summit Racing, Amazon and others sell an adapter that fits on a Hi-Lift and allows you to jack up a vehicle with a conventional curved steel bumper. It's called a BL-250 bumper lift.

http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Lift-Jack-BL-250-Bumper-Lift/dp/B00042JSNY/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1464636486&sr=8-10&keywords=high+lift+jack+accessories

And the Hi-Lift jack, itself.

http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Lift-Jack-XT485-48-X-TREME/dp/B0017T7WHW/ref=pd_sim_263_5?ie=UTF8&dpID=31uiCiEJb%2BL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0R8PKSGH1MMK7F92NCXS

Over the years, I have found three used Hi-Lift jacks at garage sales, etc. usually for very reasonable prices--$30-$40. They are extremely tough, and can be re-built easily. I would never trust a vehicle sitting on a jack, not a Hi-Lift or any other jack. The vehicle must be sitting on JACK STANDS to be safe. Never go under any vehicle sitting on a jack without jack stands.

Sorry for the late reply, it’s a great bumper and really cheap. Came in perfect condition, all hardware was there, paint looked good. Took about an hour to take the stock off, 20-30 min to put the new one on

I got these from amazon. (YITAMOTOR Steel Fender Flares Kit for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK (2/4 Doors), Heavy-duty Solid Steel Off-Road Fenders for Jeep Unlimited JK Front Rear Flat (4pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0739MNW4H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dofNDbYZWH6PB ) They we’re inexpensive and easy to install. However, I’m not sure they’ll pass inspection. If not, I’ll get these. (https://trailmods.com )

I also had to cut the ends off the front bumper. So, I installed these ( VDP 31550 Stubby Bumper End Cap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0095GK9SI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7jfNDbGERJWDM ) on the ends. It looks like a stubby version of the stock bumper. It’ll do until I’ll can get a proper metal bumper with a winch.

I love my Warrior Products Bumper. It was about $1000. Made in the USA, and I have had no problems with this bumper. It winches well, looks great, and protects my headlights in the forests.

This is what i have on mine, very easy install. Some people dont like how it looks off centered but i think it looks great

u/675triumphtriple · 1 pointr/motorcycles

Can you find out the type of bulb it is.You are going to have to do some researching. Why not post a picture of the bulb or does it have markings? There should be a model number on the bulb. Once you have a model number check ebay and select USA only. You might have some luck. I am curious myself. I couldn't find anything after searching.

For the type being why not wire up a cheap handle bar clamp dual sport light or something like that. This one is prime so you can get it in a few days and get back on the road. Even a cheap replacement headlight would work.

Here's my XJ on 32x11.5s with approx 4 inches of lift, which you'll be close to on 31s:

http://imgur.com/a/QjTes#5

I added bushwacker flat flares, which required trimming, in order to really clear them. This jeep is for offroading mostly, so i wanted up travel, and trimmed without adding too much more bump. If up and down travel isn't as big a deal, then you'd probably be OK with basic daystar bumps: http://www.quadratec.com/products/76058_74X_PG.htm

and these guys in the rear: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FQ7TMG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Quick math: Measure top of tire to bottom of flare, subtract that from where the bump stops should be to top of the spring perch. That's about how much bump you need (plus a little for compression).

I have the Rampage front bumper which is only $590 on Amazon: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002HMOJL0/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's simply awesome. So easy to install I did it by myself. It does help to have an air ratchet or a lot of wobble extensions to get to some of the bolts, but not totally necessary. It looks and works so great that two of my friends with Jeeps have now bought them too.

For my winch I have a Tuff Stuff 12.5k. It was only $315 including a wireless remote and cabling! I've had five recoveries with it now, and two were real bastards. One required two other JKUs to winch against, but the winch took the abuse. I would never buy a name brand winch again, this thing rocks.

My rear bumper is an OR Fab that I got for a deal on Craig's list. It's fine, nothing special, nothing bad. I neither recommend it or say don't get it, just whatever. The front bumper and the winch though, I very highly recommend.

EDIT: Forgot to post a picture link: http://i.imgur.com/zg03nS9.jpg

Most of what you'd see in that price range is no-name Chinese steel bumpers such as EAutoGrills(EAG), Restyling Factory, etc. There's a ton of them on Amazon or Ebay. I have no particular complaints about them; the welds aren't the cleanest but they're typically as beefy as you'd want and hit the functionality for value mark.

You mentioned no preference on style, but I think you should make the decision to either protect the fenders or leave the open wheel look. Narrow it down from there.

Note that a steel bumper will add 55-80 pounds forward of your wheels, and a steel cable winch another 80 pounds. All that weight will definitely cause the front end to sag. A couple of pucks from a leveling kit helps, but the real fix for that is upgraded springs. Keep those in mind if you're thinking about the total price of a steel bumper and winch.

u/Whit3W0lf · 2 pointsr/Jeep

Pretty sure that is the eautogrilles bumper on amazon.

u/tango4884 · 2 pointsr/flashlight

I did something similar to this with the reverse lights on my truck. I just took shipping tape and sanded it with 550 grit. Then I put the sanded tape on and trimmed it to fit with an Xacto knife. It worked pretty good until the lights shitted out

u/Redslaya · 3 pointsr/subaru

Something like this. Buddy of mine just went to home depot, bought some bolts and washers and used his girlfriend's hair bands to make his. turned out surprisingly well

u/SandboxQuint · 1 pointr/Jeep

It's a cheapie from Amazon, seems pretty sturdy tough and looks cool. Also the fog lights came out of the old bumper, they just bolt right into the back of this one.

I have no direct suggestions, just maybe consider getting a rear bumper with a tire carrier on it, something like this (I'm not suggesting this one exactly, just the idea)

EAG Rear Bumper W/Tire Carrier Linkage Steel Black Textured Fit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N03YWRP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_fKxGDbR35A95G

Yeah, then I still need to make brackets mounting off something solid to screw into. Thats the hold up there.

Friend has offered me a set of these, from Sparco, that he had sitting around from his drift car... not sure yet.. http://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Release-Fasteners-For-Car/dp/B00JJYPATO/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1404933893&sr=1-1-fkmr1&keywords=Sparco+quick+release+fasteners

That's it! And as far as winching goes I think I am going to place a 1/8" steel plate underneath the winch mount to make it a bit more stout.

Buy yourself a bunch of these to throw on around the rack.

I've got em on my light bar and they're pretty bitching.

First of all RGB LEDs are three colors that you can mix to produce most colors. If you just want white light you don't want RGB LEDS.
