I think you mean 2019 CR-V? I don't think the 2020 is out yet.

I posted a list here but i'll refresh it a bit for you.

  • Screen Guard rating: Excellent - less than $10

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVYHZV9/

The flat screen display is so big and flat and shiny I thought a screen protector was a very good idea. I'm afraid that over time dust and grit and cleaning will leave visible scratches on that big screen. I just randomly picked a flat glass cover for < $10 on amazon. Fits perfectly, can't really tell it is on. It is a bit polarized so if you have sunglasses on it makes the screen a little harder to read, but not unreadable.

  • OEM Splash Guards rating: Pretty Good - About $70

I think the default wheel wells look kind of plain so I added on the OEM ones. They are a little small if you are looking for real splash guards but cosmetically I think they look nice. They give the CR-V a bit more of a truck look. Super easy to self install, you just put three screws in on each wheel well.

  • OEM Body Side Moldings rating: Excellent - About $155

These are just color-matched plastic strips you stick on the side of the car. I like the finished look, and it definitely upscales the overall look of the car. Super easy to self-install. It comes with a cardboard template for each section that you tape onto the car, then you just peel off the self-stick adhesive and stick on the panel.

  • OEM Cargo Tray rating: Excellent - About $80

I had this on my last CR-V and I think it's a no-brainer to cover up the carpet in the back. Perfect fit, the plastic seems like it will last a while.

  • OEM Cargo Organizer rating: Good - About $55

This is just a soft-sided box with dividers that straps and clips into the retaining clips in the back. I do find it nice for tossing in groceries and other things that would otherwise roll around. It feels kind of cheap though and I think for the price there's probably some better third party product out there. That said it is stable and fits well, and you can unclip it and fold it flat quickly if you don't need it.

  • Roll-up sunshade (third party) rating: Excellent - About $23

Find it on this page: https://www.handa-accessories.com/crv17.html

This is just a nice fitted sunshade from Handa Accessories. It's got a cut-out for the sensor camera and fits perfectly. Must have in hot climates if you don't want to burn your hands after leaving the car in the sun.

  • OEM All Season Mats Blue Logo rating: meh - About $122

These are thick rubber and they fit well, but the rubber is very slippery so my feet move around, and I don't love the look, especially with my Beige leather interior. In retrospect I think I would have gone for weathertech or some other third party mats in a different color and texture. I ended up throwing these out and I'm still on the carpet ones.

  • OEM Rear Panel Protectors rating: Excellent - About $66

I think the rear panel protectors are a good purchase in order to keep the back of the car nice and tidy. It's a good look and prevents scratches when getting stuff in and out.

  • Third party Door Scuff Plates rating: Excellent - About $28

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BSQDQH5/

You have these on your touring doors but I wanted something similar for my EX-L. Not backlit but looks like factory.

  • Third party Bumper Protector rating: Excellent - About $63

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079P88CPT/

Nice protector for the bumper. Happens to have a similar hexagon pattern to the scuff plates above, so looks good together.

  • Third party cupholder and console liners rating: Excellent - About $15

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078MRYNXQ/

These are great! Covers for every single surface inside the car. I got black but there are other color options.

I used Handa Accessories for the OEM stuff. I used them with my last CR-V as well and I haven't had any issues. (other than the issue above with the missing panel protector, which they fixed very quickly.) There is also Majestic https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com . Either Handa or Majestic will be much much cheaper than your local dealer.
u/diversification · 1 pointr/autorepair

Understandable, and I appreciate the perspective - I would not have guessed even half of those costs.

Anyway, for me it sounds like the $400 all-said is a pretty good option. My buddy brings these guys thousands of cars to work on, so at least I know the guy doing the work wants to keep my buddy happy so he doesn’t screw up the relationship.

Then again, I’m looking at items like these:

Looks like all of them are at least primed, while a couple of them are both primed and painted to your vehicles specifications. The ebay seller in particular has tons of strong feedback and ships very quickly. I would need to look into the warranty / guarantees a bit further, but I’m wondering if I could grab one of these guys and either just install it myself (assuming I got a painted one) or bring it to a freelancer to paint (assuming I just got the primed version.)

I think I will try calling around to some of the local junk yards as well to see if I can track down any bumper covers that would work and are in decent shape. If I do this, shouldn’t I have the actual bumper part number that’s being replaced though? Otherwise aren’t I relying on the junkyard to properly identify the Camry year, trim, and engine? I’ve noticed that there are several different rear bumpers for the 2010 SE 4 cylinder. As you can see above, there’s

  • A 2.4L, 4 cylinder Made in Japan version - I don’t think these will work b/c it doesn’t look like they have spoiler holes

  • A 2.5L, 4 cylinder Made in USA version which has spoiler holes and apparently a single exhaust - I know I only have a 4 cylinder, so I think this must be what I have

  • A 3.5L, 6 cylinder which has spoiler holes and apparently dual exhaust - again, I have a 4 cylinder, so this can’t be it, but I’m also not completely sure it wouldn’t work on my vehicle anyway

Yep I park on street without wifi. For now it sounds like yeah, when you have the time, sit in there with the hotspot ready and see if it starts doing a big download. Good news is in more recent software it will tell you on the software screen if there's an update available for you and it's waiting for wifi, and will even show you the progress on the screen when you connect your hotspot, so the guessing game will not last forever for you, lol.

Also since you're street parking in NY like me, I use front and rear bumper protectors and recommend them! I use this one for the rear: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RZ65MO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's like a nice thick pillow unlike those thin rubbery ones, I just flip it out of the trunk whenever I park on the street. I use a front license plate one as well, Yes it isn't the prettiest looking thing but it's worth it IMO rather than stressing people tapping your bumper when they're parking. I used this one for a while (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MYZSEAW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but I actually DON'T recommend it because the weight eventually caused the whole plate to start coming loose. After getting it re-attached I got another lighter weight one that, unfortunately, I can't find available online anymore but here's a pic from my order if you want to search around yourself. This one has been solid, plate is still firmly attached with the tape after about 4+ months with this on and plenty days in the Summer heat. Things like this may not be for everyone but my car doesn't have a scratch or dent on it in 10+ months of street parking so I do recommend, at least the rear one since it goes right into your trunk when you're not using it!

u/ocular__patdown · 1 pointr/prius

I see. What year is yours? Was it this one by any chance?

Thanks for the help by the way. Just recently got a used prius and want to try to keep it in the best condition possible.

u/rhashish1 · 1 pointr/MechanicAdvice

It's expensive to get done at a shop, but what you did was tear or shear your front right bumper guide. I've done this repair on my 330 before, it's not too hard. You'll remove the light assembly, remove the debris from the left over bumper guide, then jam the replacement into its place. The part you need is this part on amazon.

There's a tutorial here, but unfortunately all of the pictures are gone.

Best of luck to you.

u/[deleted] · 4 pointsr/Welding

i'd say it's probably a lot cheaper to buy one from a car scrap-yard. sorry to say, but i just googled the car, and found this for less than 100$. also, i'm an experienced welder and sheetmetal worker, but something like that would take probably a week of hammering a piece of sheet metal on my anvil. it;s just cheaper to buy replacement part :)

For the price it’s outstanding, I’m using it to cover up some front bumper damage until I get a tubular one.

u/WagonsNeedLoveToo · 2 pointsr/e39

Took a Gamble with the cheapest one onAmazon. Install was perfect, both corners poke out about 2-3 mm but way way better than I expected.

u/jarksmile · 1 pointr/XVcrosstrek

Thanks!

And damn, makes me wonder if I just didn't ask for it when I was ordering my limited... I like that pattern a lot better than the ones I'm seeing available when I shop online

https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Subaru-Crosstrek-Bumper-Cover/dp/B00DD09HW6

u/sth2258 · 2 pointsr/CX5

The one I got is not car specific. You basically clean the bumper and lay some VHB tape, then roll the rubber thing on top of it. Wouldn't exactly recommend as the one I got seems like it is loosing it's stickyness after a month.

Well, as bad as that looks, she nailed the bumper cover it looks like without doing much damage to the underlying structure.

Here's a deal on a Cobra bumper cover: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B9EX9O0/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2T2UYG1M5TGYR&coliid=I3283VWRZ1Q7FC

Something to ponder if you get a good insurance check out of this (Which I hope you do).

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N2QV1XE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ME1zDbKC3TSR2

It’s a pretty universal one. The instructions were crap, so I just watched a few YouTube vids to install it correctly. But so far I like it and I think it makes the car look way better.

u/peter__venkman · 1 pointr/jetta

removing all the screws in the wheel wells then drilling holes in the wheel well bonnets to zip strip them secure.

Drilling and installing these in the fender/bumper.

On MKIII+ you'll have to mod/dremmel out an area on the inside of the bumper bracket to install the quick release hardware.

Then just running 4 of the front bolts than can be removed with a Torx bit and socket wrench in about 2 minutes or less.

u/boyofbrass · 2 pointsr/WRX

Its designed for a Prius but it fits WRX/STI, meant to protect the bumper when loading trunk.

Here you go mate. Welcome to city life!

u/DrButtDrugs · 1 pointr/GolfGTI

Ah didn't know the OEM one was chrome. My car is red and I bought a pretty simple black rubber strip that's adhered with double sided tape.

u/Gad001 · 1 pointr/AutoDetailing

I bought some rubber frames off of Amazon, found here. Actually adds some protection if your front bumper doesn't have a recessed area to mount your plates like mine does.

u/jhaunki · 2 pointsr/IdiotsInCars

Yes.

I see it more in New York, but yeah it’s common in places where folks park on the street. Prevents scrapes and such when someone inevitably gets a little too close. Personally never owned one and I think they’re pretty ugly, but I get the appeal.

u/Xircuits · 1 pointr/XVcrosstrek

As a Brooklynite, I bought this: Parking Armor from Amazon I measured in between the lights even though I flip it into the trunk whenever I drive.
