They all fit perfectly on the MK7 GTI. You can order the actual OEM wiper blades but they're not common in the USA (the OEM wipers are Bosch but some sort of European variant of the Icons). The Icons though are perfect IMHO.

I loved the Bosch - perfect wipes, crystal-clear on every sweep - for about a month. Then they turned to shit, streaking like mad. I was pretty angry about that.

I bought the Valeo Ultimate blades about 2 1/2 years ago, they're still doing pretty well, starting to streak here and there. I may replace them before winter. I can't be sure but it looks like Amazon is having a sale on them right now?

I'm a fan of my Rain-x blades so far.

I think I can help you with this, since I just fixed a similar issue with my car.

You'll need to attach your wipers, and feel if they have any significant about of play. If they are fitted tightly in, and you can move them an inch or so freely, then yours may be the same issue as mine.

I fixed mine by referencing this post.

What had happened was that in the winter, I had tried to force my wipers to move while they were frozen. This cracked one of the two caps that click into the ball joint at either end of the rod that connects bot wipers' mechanisms together, and resulted in my wipers hitting the edge of my A-pillar.

The pieces themselves may be called "Wiper Linkage Bushings," and you might be able to replace the plastic piece by itself, or from a kit like this. Otherwise, you may have to buy the rod itself from a dealer.

i switched to beam style about 3 years ago but needed to change them pretty frequently (every 4 months or so). i've found these are a good option, lasting about a year each

If you had a hatch, your blade part number would be WW-1204. If you have a 2015 hatch the two front blades are the same model, the hatch model is WW-1295.

Those are Motorcraft part numbers.

I have to add another recommendation for the Trico, I've installed many sets of their Force beam style blades at my shop and it's pretty much universal praise, so much that I keep spare mounting clips in my toolbox as they are the only weak point of those blades (do NOT let them freeze to a windshield and then turn on the wipers, easy way to break a clip).

I drive a (old) Mercedes and even the super nice OEM Bosch wipers come out to around $30 for a pair, same wipers in the 100K plus AMG cars. This guy has just never bought wipers.

I bought my 16 used and it had oem blades on it so either they where the first ones still or they used oem parts at some point. I had my 16 over a year when I replaced the blades so they lasted a good while. Then again I do live in Socal so it rarely rains but it does get hot enough in the summer to really damage blades.

HOLD UP: If you're in a position to spend some extra money on premium wiper blades, I highly recommend silicone blades. They last 5X longer than regular blades and are crazy nice. I have a set on my 2007 Camry and the difference these blades make is substantial: the water beads up as though my windshield is hydrophobic and when I'm on the highway the water flys away. Seriously, this type of blades makes a big difference, but is a little more expensive. I have used RainX and Bocsh blades, but these are significantly better. I swapped mine for Rain-X and it is a huge difference. The stock wipers are a slight, very gentle suggestion towards precipitation to leave your windshield.

For anyone else looking for blades, I got mine on amazon rain-x 24 driver side 19 passenger. Install was easy, just remove two pieces per the instructions and they slide right on. So much better now. No noise. $15.27 for the 24

I buy these for my MK7, noticeably better quality than the OEM.

$90 for 3 wiper blades, you can get them for $18/pop (not your car's blade, just random example) and replacing them is way easy. If you can screw in a light bulb you can do that.

The other items are also ridiculous.
