I use one of these adapters directly to my kitchen sink. Super easy.

u/astyfoo · 5 pointsr/electricvehicles

A bit too paranoid to share pics but here are my thoughts:

Obviously somewhat near to where you can park your car is priority one. I ended up changing where I park to be nearer the house because of where on the wall I put the charger (my driveway is very sloped so there were not many choices of where it could go and be able to parked near).

Next would be if you have an overhang along part of your house so the charger is generally not getting rained or snowed on (at least when there isnt a strong wind.

Third would be to consider where the hose will hang. In general you want to be able to wrap the cord around a hanger, so plan for that. Dont want the cable touching the ground or sitting in a puddle or snowbank. If you want more suggestions about a specific cord hanger I'd imagine something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N54VII2/ would do the trick.

NU-SET 2895-3 Water Faucet Lock for Garden Hose Bibbs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0030VISE6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_rCHJzbHJG0DF9

Its a pretty simple lock for the water faucet outside. It works as a simple way to say “no” and as a sing, if its tampered then someone is stealing your water.

Hope this helps.

If you don't want to buy the real ones, you can do this in a different way more cheaply.

Just use a skimmer sock or anything similar
https://www.amazon.com/Pool-Filter-Savers-Skimmer-5-Pack/dp/B00373PFT8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1468852534&sr=8-3&keywords=slime+bag

You may need to get an adapter fitting for yoru return:
https://www.amazon.com/Poolmaster-Hose-Adapter-Set-2/dp/B006H42MLI/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1468852896&sr=8-28&keywords=pool+return+adapter
and then just use a rubber band or zip tie to hold the skimmer sock onto the fitting to create your DIY slime bag.

Ever since I started using Quick Connects I have not had a leak from a faulty washer in a hose.

My setup is:

City Water spigot > quick connect \> pressure regulator with mesh filter > Y connector w/individual on/off valves > 20 ft drinking water hose > quick connect > > RV input

The second output from the y connector goes to a marine hose > water meter \> 45 degree strain relief > RV black tank sprayer inlet.

I carry 2 20' fresh water hoses, 2 20' marine hoses and coil them up and screw the ends together to keep things out.

It is a Holder for a piece of soap. You push a metal plate into Your piece of Soap and let it snap to the magnet after use. So the soap can dry after use and don't get soft/slimy.

They're still available at Amazon https://www.amazon.de/TODAMI-eyckhaus-Magnet-Seifenhalter-Chrom/dp/B00W42ZZ70

Off the top of my head, I think it started with this one:

https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/gardenhose6.htm

They are out of stock, but you can usually get those at any Home Depot/Lowes or Wallyworld. US Shower threads are 1/2 inch NPT.

Into what might be one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WZYK4M6/

Splitter side A: Has some high temp RV hose on one side with a cheaper plastic version of one of these on it: https://www.amazon.com/PLG-Sweeper-Nozzle-Shut-Off-Garden/dp/B07Q3PBRRF/

Splitter side B: has the male Camlock connector on it that I linked earlier since all of my hoses except one have females on them.

I wasn't implying they need to put cages in their room. There are other ways of putting barriers over barriers. Like, say, a locked box around the lock. As the host you have to think of how securely you've trapped your guests. You can use all the rope you'd like to tie someone to a chair, but if you leave enough slack, they can just stand up and leave.

u/mumixam · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

sounds like you got it to stop leaking but if it still does you can try getting one of these https://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-Brass-Hose-Caps-05HCC/dp/B000CSXIMW as a cheap fix instead of changing the valve

u/Artful_Dodger_42 · 482 pointsr/bestoflegaladvice

Obligatory link to faucet lock.

This is getting to become a specialty of mine; yesterday I was linking to a locked container to prevent fridge bandits.

u/Tarquinn · 3 pointsr/HelpMeFind

Search for garden hose repair kit or garden hose female connector. You didn't specify the hose size, you'll have to measure and find the correct size for your hose. Example:

u/bobvex · 7 pointsr/Tools

There are Y splitters, I suppose you could attach a few together.

I use one of these to connect the male end of my hose to my spigot. The female end can then hook up to my plate chiller. Another hose on the out side of the chiller is hooked up and the male end ran to my sink.

Get one of [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-Brass-Hose-Caps-05HCC/dp/B000CSXIMW) first, in case you get debri in the valve and it won't close completely.

Most of the low-end electric pressure washers come with plastic connectors that attach your hose to the body of the washer. These usually leak water even if you use thread seal tape. To solve this problem, you should purchase some brass connectors off Amazon or your local hardware store. They screw on to your washer with one piece and another piece to your hose.

http://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-7FHS7FH-Double-Female-Connector/dp/B000FJYR5K/
^ This part would connect to the unit directly
http://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-09QCGT-2-Piece-Green-Connector/dp/B000BQS2I0/
^ One part would connect to your hose and the other would attach to the brass connector that's connected to the body of your washer. Make sure you attach it tightly and/or use thread seal since leaks may still occur but shouldn't if attached properly.

u/avp411 · 3 pointsr/smoking

I have the same smoker and had the same problem. You need to get a new hose/regulator. The one that comes with it does not allow for much adjustment of the propane tank. I purchased this one and it's way easier to regulate temps now.

u/jasonbrown23 · 1 pointr/hydro

So a water fall in each bucker will airate I used square buckets and bulk heads worked will for me I think for round ones people use uniseals or something

found it https://www.amazon.com/Hydro-Flow-Uniseal-3-4/dp/B00WBZZ0L6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2KXORIS4ZIOOY&keywords=uniseal+3%2F4+inch&qid=1568923080&s=lawn-garden&sprefix=unseal%2Clawngarden%2C188&sr=1-3 idk if homedepo has them but hydro stores should im a big fain of bulkheads tho and a flat plastic to mount them too

u/Unabomber007 · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

I know if you order these like I did, you'll be mad as they like to pop off unexpectedly for no reason. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DND1RZX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/NYScott · 3 pointsr/HomeImprovement

I don't use a sprinkler, but have you used the faucet connector & adjusted the built-in valve? That should give you the flow control you're looking for. There are also hoses with flow adjusters built in (example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQSL4HK), or just a simple flow controller (ex: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074CBHQJ9). Plenty of solutions, if that's you're only complaint.

u/PM_PICS_OF_UR_PUPPER · 3 pointsr/teslamotors

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N54VII2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_bT0YBb0XN405T

You might be able to find a cheaper one this is what I use. Do yourself a favor, because that is not stable and you can damage your charging cable.

u/anotherUNIdropout · 1 pointr/Homebrewing

I can't see corrosion ever being a problem, especially given the small amount of time they will be in contact with each other. Sadly though, I've tried chilling a batch this way before and it was a disaster - I needed far more ice/water than expected or practical. Imo you'd have more success with the no-chill method. EDIT: If it's just the tap that's the problem, try a hose connector as these will fit most.
