I shop on Amazon because I get gift cards for work (camgirl). I'll list whatever I find in my order history - Apologies if it includes anything discontinued. I shop on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca as I am Canadian, so I'll include finds from both.

Loves

Bombsheller octopus leggings - They don't carry these on Amazon anymore, but last I checked, they do allow you to pay via Amazon on their website. The size chart was off when I first ordered them so I exchanged them for a size up, and the company was very accomodating. The leggings are comfy and sturdy.

Jellyfish socks - Adorable and well made. Definitely plan to purchase more designs from this seller.

Snowpants - I don't wear these a lot since I'm more the summer outdoorsy type, but they were excellent for walking my ex's dog in the winter and I still occasionally wear them for running errands on foot when it's really cold out.

Burned velvet leggings - I bought these in "blurple" and adore them. They're slightly sheer, so I wear other leggings underneath (these ones from eBay do the trick).

Anna-Kaci search result link - Anna-Kaci is an awesome vendor with well priced attire. I listed the vendor since the specific items I purchased are no longer available.

Thigh high socks - I have found these cheaper on amazon.ca, but this was the first pair I bought. Cute and sturdy! I now have 3 more pairs on their way!

Zebra print scarf - I was impressed by the quality of this one. I did donate it when I was gifted a similar scarf in black/gray as I try not to keep duplicates of non-essentials, but I would still have it otherwise.

Timberland knee high boots - Bought these in black, and they are probably one of my favorite Amazon purchases ever. If I were to ever re-buy these, I'd go a half size up, as I had to get them professionally stretched once they arrived, but holy fuck I love these boots. Waterproof, and fantastic quality. They're my go-to boots and I wear them more than any other piece of footwear I own.

Underbust belt - I'm not huge on the price tag, only because I once bought a nearly identical one on clearance pre-breast-augmentation. I'm glad I was able to buy this one post-op since the old one stopped fitting though. Will buy in more colors if they ever go on sale.

Booties - Pleasantly surprised by the quality! Will definitely consider buying more if I ever want/need them in different colors. Comfier for longer wear than most of my other heels, too.

Suspender Skirt - I love this thing so much, I bought two more on eBay after buying this one in black. This one's definitely better quality than the other two, though. I'd recommend wearing them with a shorts slip since there's not a lot of length to them. I'm actually really sad that they don't ship this to Canada anymore, otherwise I'd buy a couple more colors.

Beechfield beanie - This is definitely more my style when it comes to fit, but isn't as warm as the cable knits. Definitely one of my go-to hats.

Likes

Wet look batwing top - Surprised by the fit/quality for the price. Fabric looks/feels a bit cheap but overall the piece is well made.

Chunky cable knit beanies - I ordered this hat in olive, mustard, and teal. They're comfy, warm, and feel well made. I find them to be a little too bulky for my head, so I'm trying to stretch them out/break them in a bit. Definitely personal preference though, and not a quality issue.

Glitter loafers with spikes - They're gorgeous, but not high quality. I'd put them under "meh" for lifespan, but I did love them up until they started falling apart.

Holo creepers - I really need to wear these more, but my day-to-day fashion is much more casual and I don't party like I used to. Working my way towards wearing them more. The quality is decent but I don't think they'll last forever.

JollyChic search result link - JollyChic is great for cheap-ish stuff. I've bought from them a number of times and rarely been disappointed. Some of their synthetic stuff smells chemically at first (shiny leggings being one) but the smell dissipates after a couple washes. Their customer service is also stellar. Shared the search results since the specific items I ordered are no longer listed.

Iron Fist sweater - Bought in a size small, fits more like a medium. Will be shrinking it.

Waist belt - Great quality for the price (~$13CAD if I recall correctly). Fit is a little stiff, so it can look a little boxy with some outfits as it isn't flexible around curves, but overall still nice.

Meh

Faux fur vest #1 - Not the worst quality, but definitely felt cheaper than a couple other vests I own. Ended up selling it since the size chart was off and I didn't love it enough to exchange it for the right size.

Faux fur vest #2 - Slightly lower quality than #1, but same deal - Size chart was inaccurate, but not worth exchanging so I sold it.

Thermal leggings - Smelled awful at first, but it went away overtime. They are still pretty warm even after washing/wearing them for a couple years now, but they pill, so they're not the most aesthetically pleasing. Great for layering, but would not buy again.

Skull cardigan - It's cute and cozy. I wear it around the house more than out, since I noticed after washing it that the bottom corners started curling up a bit due to shrinkage. Also wish it was a tad bit longer.

Spiked slouch beret - The creases are a little harder than I wanted/expected, so I'm trying to stretch it out/break it in a bit. I have other hats that I like more though, so this one doesn't get a lot of love and might just end up being donated.

Leg warmers - Quality-wise, they should be in the "loves" section, but I bought these back when I was on a wild spree to better prepare myself for winter, and while I do love how warm they are, the patterns/colors just aren't my style.

Digital print tanks - The quality is about what I expected for the material, but I found the fit to be off on most of them (especially in the armpit area). I modified a few for a better fit, but mostly I wear them as slips now. The material is perfect for layering under sweaters that normally "grab" onto cotton camis. They can definitely be found cheaper elsewhere, though.

Fleece lined leggings - I bought these in damask, which I guess is no longer available. They're completely matted on the inside now, and not what I'd call "fleece lined" anymore. Still pretty on the outside, but definitely no good for warmth.

Downright Awful

OURS vendor search results - Seriously, don't buy anything from OURS. Their photos are stolen from other brands and the quality of their clothes are laughably poor. I threw them away rather than donate them because I knew that they would never be rebought, even at thrift store prices. They were the worst. Woooorst.

Bikini - The shittiest shit that ever shitted. Everything about it was just awful.

  1. I don't know much about you yet, but I'd really like to! You seem a lot like me from this post alone, so I want to get to know you better.

  2. I don't remember where I read it, but it's really helped me (although it's a bit crude)--"If you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow, you're pissing all over today." Apparently this was Michael J. Fox according to my quick Googling, but you can never trust the internet on these matters. The point is, it's a good reminder for me. I tend to worry about what I have done and will do, and forget to actually do things now.

  3. I've committed to journaling at least once a day, and I can write as much as I want. But I have to start it off with something positive from that day. Some days, this is something awesome like "got a job" or "passed my final", and some days it's more like "I love the smell of my new body wash" or "the dog made me laugh when she ran into the door". If that's the only smile or happy thought I had that day, it's still worth writing down :) And, of course, I can write as many positive things as I wish.

  4. Can I link two different items and say surprise me between them if I win? I can't decide which to link, so...this adorable waist belt or these supposedly comfy-ass leggings.

I hope this contest makes you feel better from all the tips you've been given!

Hi! I’m back!!
Although I thoroughly intend to write my birth story when I’m ready, I just finished my first piece since the baby arrived so in celebration, I’ll pair it with something useful.

I really appreciated posts like this while I was pregnant so here goes:

Things I didn’t know I needed:
(AKA things I have frantically ordered on amazon at or around 2am)

Bottle Drying Rack This probably seems obvious, but when we didn’t get this from our showers we were like... idk why we can’t just use a towel??

Safe way to cosleep My husband built a BEAUTIFUL Sidecar Crib, but it was attached on my side of the bed and it took 2.5 weeks for me to have healed enough to climb in bed around it safely with the baby. This way, I didn’t have to bend over to pick up baby or even spit up to check on/soothe him.

Lactation Suppliment My lactation consultant approved. This one worked well in my breakfast tea.

Better flanges My poor nipples were so sore and the flames that come with the Medela... well I’m not sure who they’re supposed to fit but not me. My doula practically ordered these for me. GAME CHANGER.

Pumping bra I was cutting holes in sports bras. This is better.

Nipple Shells Another kind reddittor sent me in the direction of this AMAZING INVENTION after I posted a photo of ice packs tied to my nipples with a burp cloth because I refused to wear a shirt my nipples hurt so bad. I will be purchasing these for EVERY PREGNANT WOMAN FOREVER. They keep your nipples dry, collect drips, apply counter pressure to keep your nipples shaped correctly for latching, and most importantly omg nothing touches the precious nips and you can wear a shirt!!

Car mirror

Me: that seems extra, he’s in a car seat and safe why would I need a mirror??

Hormones; HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH YOU FOOL

Car adapter for my breast pump Cheaper than batteries

Shade for his side of the car because anything that wakes up my sleeping baby is the devil. This one has a bonus that allowed me to roll the window down and it was HOT in the south

Better suction for the breast pump Again- just better than whatever they send you

My Breast Friend we got the boppy but this one saved my back

Heating pad Turns out I’ll do ANYTHING to keep the baby asleep when I transfer him to his crib including preheat the darn thing (on low!) before I lay home down

Stroller Caddy You’ll want somewhere to put your keys, phone, and coffee

Baby K’tan An easier way for my husband to wear the baby.

Leggings I had a pair of these before, and they are SO COMFORTABLE on my postpartum body that I bought 5 more in different colors!

•Extra pump parts for whichever pump you have

•A hands-up swaddle I found at Target

•Wine.

Anyway, hope this helps! Best of luck to all of you!

A different perspective: if you like wearing shorts but you also need protection for your legs, there are good options for individual problems:

SUN:

If you are just worried about sun protection, get some cheep cotton pajamas, bar non the best, most comfortable sun protection. Just dont expect these to provide warmth or dry fast. Also slow drying cotton is great for getting wet at a water source to keep you cool for you next miles.

Sun Protection in the Desert: https://www.amazon.com/CYZ-Womens-Cotton-Pajama-Pants-VoileSilverStripe-L/dp/B076F8TMRD/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=pajama+bottoms+cotton&psc=1&qid=1571767226&sr=8-15 $12.00

WIND:

https://www.amazon.com/Body-Wrappers-Ripstop-Pants-Black/dp/B0002UR7SQ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=dance+pants+nylon&psc=1&qid=1571767509&sr=8-1 $18.00

Enlightened Equipment and Montbell make good ones too.

COLD:

Leggings/tights/long underwear. Pretty self explanatory, many many brands available.

https://www.amazon.com/Cuddl-Duds-ClimateRight-Underwear-Leggings/dp/B077T671HN $25.00

If your worried about scratchies / are doing a decent amount of bushwacking then your going to want some hiking pants like the author listed.

I was hoping for some advice on bottoms to fit someone with wider thighs / butt.

I'm tall, 5'8" and size 12 US. My thighs are my enemy - I have to constantly replace my jeans because they end up chafed and ripped 😕

I've been steadily losing weight but my bottom is always the last part of me to shrink, so I'm looking for some options for spring until they normalize (lol).

I'm looking into tights / leggings to pair with skirts and shorts, which is a style I really enjoy and looks good on me because of my height (long legs). But I struggle finding ones that fit right. I tend to have to size-up for ones that will fit and go above my bum.

I really like patterned ones - and for the winter, thick warm ones. I have one pair of plain black and grey, but they slide down the back (not big enough I guess), and I'd like to get a little more creative.

So anybody have any brand suggestions for patterned leggings / tights that work for curvy bottoms?
Also, general ideas for trying to limit jean-usage - i would love some suggestions for skirts / shorts for bigger butts / thighs as well!

Some examples of styles I like:

I'm making mine! I'm going to be Lagertha, SO is going to be Ragnar. My throw-together costume isn't going to be show-exact, but I'm pretty sure my group of friends will know exactly who I'm playing.

After shopping around online, actual Vikings costumes run a damn pretty penny - and I only have ugly ones. So, I'm improvising.

This corset and this bolero are my choices for replicating Legertha's tunic-type shirt/sleeves and her armor/vest. Bracers I'm still working on, but I might end up making them myself. I might find a tunic or large brown/tan t shirt and chop/adjust it accordingly to have the bottom coming out of the corset to mimic the tunic since I've not been able to find a good actual tunic top that I like.

These boots were too adorable to pass up, and then I have brown leggings as well.

My company that I work for receives supplies on pallets, so I'm getting one or two to break down and fix into a shield. Painted, of course. Throw a few brown belts on my waist, though the corset that I'm buying actually has sufficient buckling.

And then there is her sword and sheath, which I'm still pondering.

Finished up, of course, with youtube tutorials on Lagertha's hair style. I like that one just because it's easy for someone who doesn't do a lot with her hair very often. I think I can manage this one.

As far as for my SO and being Ragnar ... that's a whole different ballgame that I will be sorting out and figuring out on what to do starting this weekend!

u/dinosaurdinosrawr · 2 pointsr/90daysgoal

On Amazon though all credit goes to /u/talahrama for finding them and sending me the link! I found another awesome pair on Etsy... but for like $60, and that's just not in my broke grad student budget!

Thanks! HA you say you did 42K like it's nothing... YOU DID A MARATHON!!! That's awesome. And it totally makes sense that your legs would call it quits. Legs have called it quits on much shorter distances that that haha. Thanks :D

u/dizzyvonblue · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm gonna make you a little outfit.

fleece leggings I do own a pair of these. They are thick, and warm, but I like to dry them with my under things, because they can pill.

boots i'm wearing these right now. I've had them for over a year. They aren't as all as you'd think, but very comfy and warm.

boot socks I have these in the grey/white. They are kinda long, but I love them. They come up pretty high, so they look best with a tall boot. One button did fall off, but I fixed it. Buy these here on Amazon. I got mine as a gift from Etsy and they were $29.00. They are the exact same thing.

u/wine-inacan · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This is such a cute idea! I started a new job yesterday! what does yours entail? I've been wanting this la la land vinyl for a while now, I think I've watched that movie 6 times now.. I actually went and saw it 4 times in the theatre, once on my own! and I think you would love these leggings they are SO COMFORTABLE and are such a pretty design I think they'd look amazing on you :)

u/_bleh_ · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I just bought these from Amazon and they have a lot of stretch and fit my 32 week bump with room to grow! They seem super comfy though I haven't worn them all day yet. They don't fit weird in crotch or legs either like some tights I've bought. They're super thick and seem really warm. Good luck, I searched forever and ended up buying those and also this pair, which I ended up returning because the crotch is really weird and they were hard to put on (too tight).

Edit: the ones I bought are 'one size fits most' and I'm about 5'3" and a size 8-10 or medium in most things (US sizing). They have plenty of room and plenty of length.

u/somesillynerd · 6 pointsr/OkCupid

Check out /r/femalefashionadvice they're pretty helpful.

Otherwise go with a chick that lived winter before.

I recommend:

u/angenou · 3 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

When I was in marching band we were always wearing leggings and tights under everything to keep warm. Even if I ended up in just the leggings and my top I was still fine, it's because of how tight the fabric is to your skin. Tighter garments like leggings keep you warmer because they don't allow a breeze to get in, and if you get a pair that has a nice fuzzy lining on the inside (example for the purpose of discussion, this pair I bought on Amazon, ohmygod I love them http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009DNWH2O/ ) you are even further securing yourself a warm and comfy fall or winter day. Granted, leggings alone can still definitely leave you cold, but a couple of good pairs can definitely save you some trouble and money in the long run.

u/canaryfix · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

If you are looking for fleece leggings, I just got these D&K Monarchy High Waist Compression Slimming Thermal Leggings (get the ones that say Thermal if you want the thickest fleece option) in black on Amazon for $15 and they are amazing. First pair of fleece leggings I've worn that are actually opaque, and they actually have soft fleece inside of them as opposed to some rough fabric that masquerades as fleece. They are seamless too which makes it so much more comfortable, and the fleece is so, so soft. Only two snags are if you are sensitive to chemical smells, these might smell a bit stronger than you are used to. And the high waist may be a plus or minus depending on your preferences. But, having said that, I found these leggings way better than the Anthropologie ones that I tried previously. Highly recommend!

u/imaplatypuswithwings · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This hat keeps my ears so warm! I've been wearing it almost every day for the past week (I did wash it). It's super cute, plus I don't have to do as much to my hair.

I haven't gotten them yet, but a friend got these tights and says they're fantastic!

u/brainwall · 26 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I recently bought these two shirts:
Levaca Womens Tops Button Cowl Neck Casual Slim Fit Tunic Shirts Gray M
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTPSPX3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_uIgKybQNFAA79

REGNA X Basic women's deep V neck loose fit long yoga long sleeve T-shirt top
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EL4JCAE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_0IgKybYSWQH14

And these leggings:
Hue Women's Ultra Leggings with Wide Waistband, Black
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005XLTHSM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vJgKyb1JZQHTD

Kind of basic. I wanted items that would work with my standard black leggings. Should get them in the mail tomorrow and I'll report how they worked for me. :)

Minnesotan checking in - I own like 10 pairs of fleece lined leggings, and 1 merino wool pair of leggings for those polar vortex days. Two layers of leggings is pretty typical come December/January/February. I pair this with winter boots, A-line skirts/dresses layered with cardigans and oversized sweaters, giant scarves, and knee-length wool or down jackets. Love the silhouette, and all the layers makes for a very practical cold climate wardrobe. You can get packs of 6-8 fleece leggings on Amazon. like this

u/frindlerta · 28 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I find Franco Sarto shoes really comfortable while also looking nice and professional at the same time.

Old Navy, despite being cheap I've got some really nice clothes from there that look more expensive.

These leggings. Literally the most comfortable leggings ever made and they are also very affordable.

u/delapse · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

This might be weird, but I also live in NYC and I had this same problem last year. I bought several pairs of these on a whim due to good reviews, and I LOVE THEM. They haven't stretched out or pilled at all, and it's been over a year.

u/enigmaurora · 2 pointsr/FrugalFemaleFashion

I just bought a black pair of these on Amazon. Fleece-lined leggings are great coverage plus warm for Fall. Bonus: They're high-waist.

u/ttctoss · 1 pointr/InfertilityBabies

I've been wearing these fleece-lined leggings for a few weeks now. Not sure that they'll last forever, but hard to beat $5 a pop, and super comfortable with an extra wide and stretchy waistband.

u/JimmyRUDEjam · 12 pointsr/Fitness

I think I'm going to start wearing yoga/blackmilk type stretchy pants to the gym because they're god damn comfortable. If women can do it then why can't I?

*I could totally rock these, chicks would love it and dudes would be like damn, those look comfy and they'd be easy to go ATG for squats.

u/kryren · 2 pointsr/AskWomen

Aerie has some nice cotton ones that I don't find to be sheer at all. I've had them about a year and they've held up great.

For fleece lined ones, I got this pack off amazon a few years ago and they've been great. A few of my more worn pairs are just starting to pill a bit, but that's an easy fix.

u/maisiedaise · 4 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I wore these all winter. They're super warm, and have held up surprisingly well considering how cheap they are.

u/mabeol · 3 pointsr/FeminineNotFeminist

One of my favorite bloggers has said definitively that these are the best leggings.

u/kitterbug · 8 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Ooooohhh I can do this one!

Some people have mentioned Hue leggings but I'd like to specifically mention these Hue ULTRA leggings (high waisted, wide waistband). I bought a pair last year and immediately bought another for my sister. They're the right weight, and the waistband sits flat and actually looks good under tight-ish sweater dresses! Cannot recommend highly enough.

u/talahrama · 1 pointr/90daysgoal

Ahem. Found them. The ones you got are waaay more expensive. Is there a perceptible difference in quality?

The Stone Cat 50 site says that finishers receive a "special finishers item." If it's not beer, I'm disappointed. If I spend something like a solid half-day running, I deserve some brew.

u/bizaromo · 15 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Legging and long sweaters are great. I like these, they are opaque.

/u/occulus2057 These are so amazing! They're so soft and really warm. Very good for layering! Thank you so much. ♥

Here are the leggings, if anyone is interested:

Pictures of how they look on my weird legs:

Pic One.

Pic Two has Blurry Cat.

Pic Three Standing.

They have a lot of stretch and you can easily be adjusted. The waist comes very high, but can be folded down.

u/galaxystarsmoon · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I bought some wholesale ones from China that fit me amazingly well. Example here. I got an XL as the size chart on mine matched for a L but I sized up as I have a big butt and thighs. They stay up all day but don't dig in and the waist stretches to you if that makes sense.

I definitely saw some on the Rack website yesterday too.

u/Tstanz · 7 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Honestly, I love running leggings, even for when I'm not exercising. Super comfortable and the most opaque I can find. Though they can get pretty expensive.

I also have these D&K fleece leggings http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F9RNVM8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1451859243&sr=8-3&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=thick+fleece+leggings&dpPl=1&dpID=31pwAmGX0JL&ref=plSrch which are really warm, comfy, and not see through at all. They started to pill after about the second wash so be wary of that, but I got mine for about $15

u/cheesecake_boom · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

These are my favorite leggings of all time. I originally found them at Costco, but last time I checked they weren't there. I have literally replaced all other leggings with these and only these. 2 in a pack FYI

u/bluecirc · 22 pointsr/fatlogic

I just got these. Fleece lined leggings are amazing!

u/freudjung_deathmatch · 50 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I'm a sucker for these cheap leggings off of Amazon. They're super soft, don't pill, come in LOTS of colors, don't sag, and aren't see-through. They also don't have seams on the outside of the legs. (I've had multiple leg surgeries, and I find seams really aggravating sometimes, so that's a huge plus for me!) The only con is that they may not be thick enough "winter leggings" depending where you live, but I really like them as layering pieces.

u/MercifulSky · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

I have a pair of these, and they are amazing.

The sausage feels are real! I bought these leggings from Amazon to try to eek out my time. The relaxin is really working on my body.

Amazon! I'm on the smaller end of plus size and these work for me. These look like a decent buy too, and are labeled as plus-size.

Thumbs up to the people recommending Wal-mart too though, because I'm not sure if Amazon.ca has the same leggings selection as the US site and I'm gonna need more 'cuz it's supposed to get coooold here.

I found a listing on amazon for leggings that are basically the exact same as lularoe. So if $25 is a little steep for you, I recommend these

Assuming you're a woman and your preference is dresses/skirts over jeans, fleece lined leggings will be your friend.

And boots. Practical boots for the potential snow/ice and more fashionable ones, with a small-to-no-heel.

I have several kind of leggings but my favorite day-to-day pairs are the vera wang kind from kohl's. My favorite exercise pairs are, unfortunately, ones I brought back from visiting my family abroad. My least favorite are these. They're supposed to be seamless but they're not really and have a weird crotch seam that never sits right on me

I don't know, but I'm going for the mostly naked people leggings!
