So cute! We use one of these things. You can even bend it like a hook.

Remove spark plugs and use a Vacuum cleaner.

Many different flexible magnetic pickup tools exist, plus cheap USB borescopes as well

Highlandhawker's Original Quick Release Keychain

I originally wanted to buy Kappa Quick Release Keychain but it was little bit more pricier but I'm liking highlandhawker's a lot for now!

My process for heat treating a blade is as follows. All very low tech.

I have two propane torches lined up in a way to get the blade to a suitable temperature. Bring it as evenly as possible to cherry red and quickly dunk in a tank of vegetable oil.

Do the "skate test" as I call it. run a file gently over the metal. If it skates off the blade instead of biting in like normal you've done it. If not do it again.

You can use a magnet to tell if your metal is hot enough. Touch a magnet on a stick to it and see if the magnet attracts the steel. If it doesn't then you're almost hot enough. I use one of these pickup tools https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-Magnetic-Pick-Tool-2-2/dp/B001MJ0JVS

Tempering is simple. Chuck it in the home oven at 400F/205C for a couple of hours. Allow to cool in air. I use a separate oven thermometer as my ovens controls are a bit vague.

Try not to introduce any heat in final finishing.

I'm sure others will use more refined methods but this has worked for me.

-deleted DIY approach as impractical-

I don't know what you've got, but many of those magnetic sweepers are very low-power, intended for a concrete floor. Buy a high-power magnetic sweeper.

This gets good reviews: https://www.amazon.com/Neiko-53418A-36-Inch-Magnetic-Capacity/dp/B000HGH09G/

Is it normal, no. Is it common, yes.

The most important thing is, you can absolutely get diseases from used needles, though it is rare. This is unacceptable CNT behavior and you should speak with the acupuncturist about it. Also speak to them about cleaning up after themselves. The clinic I work in there's 2 other acupuncturists. One leaves needle flags everywhere and the other leaves garbage all over the desk. It's gross, unsettling for the patient, and totally unnecessary. Clean up after yourself! ... but I digress.

Tell the acu that you've had a needle stick 4 times. Tell them which patient it was during, so they can check their chart to see if there's any information given to communicable diseases (likely not, but it's a chance). Tell them they need to be more careful, and make note of the day and time you spoke to them. If there's someone higher than them in the clinic, mention it to them as well if you feel there's difficulty with the acu.

Imagine if you're a patient, and you are getting off the table and you step on a needle. Do you know who's needle that is, or what they have? Or the fact that this needle is on the dirty ground and now is in your foot? If I was the patient, I would immediately complain and have the office pay for me to have blood work done to see if there was any contamination from the needle stick. And I'd never go back there.

This is an incredibly easy situation to avoid. Tell them to clean up after themselves, that they're creating an unsafe and unsanitary work environment. And have them buy one of these... We keep it in the clinic to find needles that may have fallen and we missed. It's very helpful

the best magnetic tip flex light i have seen not breaking the bank on a tool truck. https://www.amazon.com/VIBELITE-Telescopic-Extensible-Flashlights-Batteries/dp/B01HHRDXWK

20degree offset long nose pliers with a notch created by a chain saw file about 3/8 back from the tip can get amazingly heavy tubular items out .. https://i.imgur.com/FKFjIg9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/d0s4U5V.jpg

probably won't reach all the way down there. but you may have a stack of uniform coat hangers you could use to go fishing with..

When I moved into my apartment my landlord had just finished roofing the place.

Dude must've lost half of the nails he bought, and they all landed on the driveway. I asked him if he had a big ass magnet or anything that I could use to pick 'em up with and he whipped this thing out. Seemed to work pretty well. Not sure how well it's going to work for your situation but figured it might help.

I answered this last time, I use a grabber tool. You can find cheap ones at flea markets for a buck. Works better than a hanger or rod.

Are you sure it was the same one? I see no lever. Maybe yours was more like this

Would something like this work better for what you want to do? https://www.amazon.com/Master-Magnetics-Magnetic-Adjustable-07543/dp/B00BNE0YF8

Depending on the height of your keg and the weight of your individual stir bar, you could head down to your local auto parts or hardware store and pick up a stainless steel telescoping magnet tool, Like this and sanitize it, that may work. The only problem is that most hardware store models only have 3lb magnets. You may just be better off buying a new stir bar.

u/SuperHaole · 38 pointsr/airpods

I'd recommend this

u/emma_kate · 2 pointsr/flashlight

By telescoping, I meant extendable-- like one of those ones that can get all twisty in tiny spaces; a telescope-like mechanism

Easy way to cleanup would be to just drag a bar magnet around the area and let it pick up the nails and tacks. In-fact they make such a thing just to pick up nails and stuff off job sites.

Magnetic roller makes short work, and you can still scrap the steel.

That's a spring hook. Used for typewriter repair or anything with little springs.

u/jChuck · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

I use one of these.

u/MinnesotaTemp · 1 pointr/cars

I would suggest buying one of these if you think you can retrieve the clip with it. You can find these at any automotive parts store or very cheap here on Amazon.
