You can do it! And when you get even 1/4 of the way there, you'll feel like a different, healthier, more mobile person. It's amazing.

Enough motivational drivel. To your question, I'd first advise to not worry about cravings until you're through keto flu. It's hard enough to not eat carbs. Don't make it harder by trying to starve yourself as well. EAT. ENJOY SO MUCH BACON. This will not last long and will most likely reduce your lifespan less in this time than being overweight long-term will.

You will also probably have cheat days. Don't judge yourself for them. It was actually kind of eye-opening to go back and forth a bit and feel the difference in my health very tangibly.

My fave foods that I used in the beginning (and a few subsequent falls from grace) were:

Drinks:

I try to drink lots of water. Water gets really boring. Unfortunately, most of the sugar-ish drinks you find have artificial sweeteners in them. I know that these sweeteners aren't great, but I don't think they're as terrible as some folks believe. I drink them anyway, but I try to minimize my intake.

  • SodaStream - This bastard is indispensible for me. I use it all the time, but I love drinking plain seltzer. You can also add...

  • Sugar Free Syrup or Sugar Free Lemonade - When I do get a bad craving for a sweet drink, these are my favorites. You can add the lemonade powder to regular water. The soda...not so much.

  • Coke Zero - Again, I try to limit these, but they're a solid replacement for Coke.

  • Coffee & Tea - It's coffee tea. By this point in your life, you probably know if it's your thing or not, so if you like it, drink a lot more now. Just use heavy whipping cream or half and half as a creamer, as milk has a lot of sugar. Adding stevia is...okay. I usually just drink it black.

    Meals & Snacks:

  • FatHead Crackers/Nachos - Crikey these are good. I would eat these when not on keto. They're good alone, dipped in salsa, baked with nacho toppings (shredded chicken, black olives, guacamole). Top them with pepperoni and cheese to make little mini pizza-crackers. Or you could have...

  • FatHead Pizza - This is also worthy of a crikey. The crust doesn't taste exactly like bread per se, but it's fantastic. Top however you would a pizza. Make your own sauce, as a lot of the store bought brands have too much sugar.

  • Pizza Sauce - This is a simple sauce that tastes pretty good. It's fairly easy to modify ratios and tweak ingredients to match your tastes.

  • Low Carb Tortillas - I generally can't taste the difference because mine are filled with delicious taco fixins.

  • Cookies - Cookies. Nuff said.

  • Pork rind crusted chicken nuggets - These are legit. I was doubtful of the breading, but I was pleased in the end.

  • Weird, not-ramen replacement - I love ramen almost as much as I love my children. To replace it, I make this abomination. I don't really measure, but I'll give rough estimates. Also, please don't judge me.

    • Asparagus stir fry - An entire bag is 10.5 carbs. I usually eat half.
    • 2 eggs
    • 2T Peanut butter
    • 1T Soy sauce
    • 1 - 2T Heavy whipping cream (or more to achieve desired consistency or nutrient content)
    • 1/2 - 1t chicken bouillon
    • 1/4t - 1/2t Onion Powder - I'm guessing wildly at this amount. I just shake it a few times
    • 1/4t - 1/2t Garlic powder - Same as above
    • A few shakes of Fish sauce

  1. Add frozen veggies to water and turn on stove, set eggs aside.

  2. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl

  3. When water boils, add eggs and poach to desired consistency (boiling for 3 min gets you soft-medium boiled consistency)

  4. Carefully drain the water from the pan without busting the eggs. You don't have to get all of the water, as it can add

  5. Pour veggies and eggs into the bowl and mix with the sauce.

    Misc:

  • Bob's Red Mill - God bless Bob. He should be a patron saint of keto. He has all the flours. See below.

  • Bob's almond flour, Bob's coconut flour. This is basically all you need. No Hindu crickets required. You can get fancy later when you're feeling better and want to branch out.

  • Pork rinds - They're weird and taste like I imagine a football would, or...a piece of rawhide. But I use these for breading sometimes (they're surprisingly good when soaked in delicious avocado or coconut oil). I also occasionally eat these to make my craving for chips, or rather, entire appetite go away.

  • Avocado - The best fruit/berry ever. They're good by themselves. You can also make delicious ice cream with them. And of course, there's guacamole for the FatHead Crackers/Nachos above.

Okay. I'm tired now and have to work tomorrow. I'll try to come back and add more useful things. Good luck!

Edit: Links & formatting. Also, In my tired state, I almost forgot to add fat bombs. Look up lots of recipes. It's a huge help to be able to eat delicious chocolatey, doughy things.

Here's a copy/paste of what I like to recommend for "protein powder pudding":

> I started off using only Greenmax Purple Yam & Black Soybean Powder, mixed with juuust enough water to turn it into a smooth, pudding-ish texture. It tastes like freakin' cake batter, but the numbers are very reasonable.
>
> Greenmax is pretty awesome on its own, but as I've started needing more calories, I've been adding in various of the following -- again, adding only just enough liquid (water or soymilk) to turn it into a pudding, since I'm not going for a smoothie here:
>
> Protein powder (chocolate or vanilla flavors go great with the Greenmax's cake batter flavor)
>
Cocoa powder
> Chia and/or ground flax seeds
>
Molasses
> Blueberries (frozen work best, IMO -- mix 'em right in without thawing first and the result turns out like ice cream)
>
Tahini (lot of calories here; use wisely)
> Coconut oil (only if MFP shows me I've got a lot of calories & fat left for the day)
>
>
> So in a soup or cereal bowl, add in any of the above that sound good, plus just enough liquid, and then stir, stir, stir... then eat! It's quick to make, delicious (to me, and to my SO who has quite the discerning sweet tooth), no heat required, and easy to customize to adjust the numbers in whichever direction you need.

I hope this helps. Some protein powders are definitely tougher to get down than others, regardless of how they're prepared!

Edit: Unless too much liquid was added, you probably wouldn't want to try to actually
drink* the final product. Spoon is best. :)

Ok, so the camping area and the music area are separate and they don't allow you to bring in booze to the music area. Drinks are crazy expensive in there too and it is a drag walking all the way back to your campsite if you want to get tipsy. Not to worry though, it is very easy to bring in booze. You are allowed to bring in one sealed water bottle or one empty water bottle/nalgene (there are free water stations all over in the music area). So use these to make yourself some sealed water bottles that are actually full of vodka. Have a friend bring in an empty Nalgene and toss some of these in the bottom of your bag. You are now equipped to get drunk without spending a fortune on drinks. This works at virtually every festival where they do not allow you to bring in outside alcohol. I did it at summercamp with a whole case of these stealth water bottles.

EDIT:I forgot some things. Pack rubber rain boots and an umbrella. If it rains, festivals get MUDDY. This year Summercamp was totally rained out, but I was still able to enjoy it to the fullest because I had my boots and umbrella. So many people left early because of the weather. EF is car camping, so you don't really have to carry anything on your back into the festival, so you might as well fill the car up with everything you need without worrying about weight. Also on the way in they will ask each car if they are in a caravan so that those cars are kept as a group and everyone will be camped next to each other. If you guys are taking more than one car I would highly recommend not camping in a huge big group. My best friend and I went this year and while we knew other friends that were going we didn't try to camp near them. Best decision ever. Going with one or two other people instead of hanging out in a big group of people you already know is awesome. I didn't go to EF to hang out with people I can see every day. I went to meet awesome new people, like our neighbors. Pack a hammock. ENO puts hundreds of hammocks in the forest, but they get taken rather quickly. Bring your own in so you can chill in the forest when it is hot or between shows.

Welcome!

Don't worry too much about macros at this point. Total calories are way more important. You burn at least 2,600 calories per day so something like 2,000 calories per day would be a great goal for 1-2 pounds per week fat loss.

If you find a high protein/fat,low carb diet helps you keep to your calorie goal, that's fine. If you prefer a higher carb, more plant based diet, that's fine too. Feel free to experiment to see what works best for you.

As far as sugar cravings after meals, there's a couple ways you could go. You could cut out added sugar completely to go cold turkey. Or, you could fit small portions of sweets (like 100 calories worth of ice cream or a small piece of chocolate) into your calorie budget.

Another thing I do is experiment to replace a lot of the sugar-filled desserts that I love with no-added-sugar "healthy" versions. Some examples:

  • Plain Greek yogurt mixed with peanut butter powder (I use PB&Me No Sugar Added)

  • Cacao powder mixed with canned pumpkin, either microwaved or eaten cold

  • Sugar free, fat free jello pudding. I like using almond milk to save calories then amping up the flavour by adding peanut butter powder or cacao powder

  • Oatmeal replaces a lot of desserts for me. I'll do mix ins like chopped apples with cinnamon, sliced bananas with almond butter or canned pumpkin with almond butter or peanut butter

  • Sugar free jello. I make my own with beef gelatin and then water enhancers like these Kool Aid ones for flavour

Overall, good quality cocoa/cacao powder and peanut powder are key ingredients for me to help to satisfy that dessert craving without sugar.

(Edit: 140mg caffeine, correction courtesy of DonOblivious)

This is a good answer, but an incomplete one. Looking at the side of a can it looks like you have a few basic ingredients: Sugar (25g), Taurine (1000mg), Caffeine (2500140mg+), Ginseng (200mg), and B Vitamins.

Taurine and Caffeine are both stimulants, and do the bulk of the CNS loading in the mix.

B Vitamins aid in the metabolism of energy from various energy sources, and alone is a very effective supplement for energy levels.

Ginseng seems to have about a thousand unproven uses, but is generally accepted to lower blood sugar, and improve insulin response, this is likely responsible for the 'whoa this is great' energy drink high, instead of the 'too much Halloween candy' sugar sickness.

And Sugar is just a pick your poison kind of exercise.

Adding costs all up to the above linked products:
Taurine: $23/kg Serving: 1000mg = $.023 / serving (1000 servings per pouch)
Caffeine: $2.99/(100200mg) Serving: 140mg = $0.02 / serving (143 servings per bottle) (edited)
B Vitamins: $8.98/100 Serving: 1 tablet = $.09 / serving (100 servings per bottle)
Ginseng: $18.65/(250
500mg) Serving: 200mg = $.03 / serving (625 servings per bottle)

Grand total is about 5116 cents per every can of monster replaced, assuming you're alright providing your own juice crystals, I have as well not hunted at all for price reductions or bulk pricing on the above supplements.

If you want to avoid the stimulants and still get an invigorating effect, I would just recommend the B vitamins on their own, combined with some free office coffee, they work quite well.

I found by having the cooler and filtered water it made it easier to down.

its worth looking into the mios/drink mixes as well. the information behind them goes back and forth on it all, but i like lemonade and i really found true lemon to not only be tasty but its incredibly healthy in comparison. the convenience factor is MASSIVE, grabbing a can/bottle of soda is a breeze as opposed to getting a cup of water, getting whatever mix you want, measuring it and mixing it up.

having a water bottle that is nice, and having easy pour packets isnt as cheap but helps with switching to drinking more flavored water. powerade zero is worth a try, its 99% water and they have 3 flavors. even just switching to that would be a massive improvement :).

true lemon does have other flavors as well, never had em so i cant speak to those but i cant stand mios but i love this stuff.

I dunno if heat would affect those things, but pretty sure that will ruin the taste of your coffee. Citrulline malate doesn't taste bad on its own, but it's super tart/acidic. I wouldn't want that in my coffee. The other ingredients will probably just taste like powders, which don't taste good. I do a custom PWO like this and it usually tastes like ass, but citrulline malate helps mask the taste because it tastes like sour apple. It dissolves just fine though, so I wouldn't expect mixing with coffee to do anything there. I just put it in a cup with little water and drink it, then drink something to wash the taste out of my mouth and go on with my day.

I would recommend just mixing that stuff with water and drinking it separately from your coffee. If you really want to flavor it, use a little flavor pack. My grocery store sells tons of packs like that for super cheap.

u/caitcreates · 1 pointr/cocacola

OP here - I have some good news for you! Granted, Diet Coke with Lime is gone. However, in my search for replacements, I have found something that seems to work well.

There are these tiny packets of crystalized lime called True Lime that you can get on Amazon or elsewhere. I've found that one packet flavors a can of Diet Coke just right. Two packets seem to work well with a 20oz. bottle.

There are still some places you can get Diet Coke with Lime - but it's all at exorbitant prices. The Fridge Packs (three 12-packs) are up to $38 on amazon - those are shipped directly from a Coca-Cola distributor in Atlanta. I stocked up when they were around $24 for a 12-pack. I still have about ten 12-packs left, but I'm not as worried now that I found out about True Lime packets.

I hope you can get True Lime where you are and that you like how it tastes.

Good luck!

u/SeafoodDuder · 1 pointr/loseit

Those packets you pour into drinks have helped me go from like 235 to 195. They have them at your local grocery store and on amazon. I don't care for the 'crystal light' brand but most stuff from wylers, crush (orange soda), etc do taste pretty good. Best thing about them is they have zero sugar and only 5 calories. Give them a shot! :)

You got this man, you're totally going to do this. You're doing yourself a huge favor by starting now.

u/Sarcassimo · 0 pointsr/keto

I still like my diet soda. My consumption is way down though. I drink sugar free add ins for water mostly now. My tolerance for caffeine is way down now. I get jittery from a pretty small serving of coffee. Iced coffee is great. We have sugar free syrups and you can add heavy whipping cream. There are some coffee flavored add ins like MIO that might save some time. I found them passable. Link https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Concentrate-Iced-Mocha-Java/dp/B01BNILZT2?th=1

u/bunnylover726 · 4 pointsr/fatlogic

I ate my food before taking a picture, (no regrets- it was delicious!) so I'm posting this here instead of r/1200isplenty:

Sugar Free Apple Cider gelatin:

Take unflavored gelatin and prepare it according to the instructions. For each 8 oz of hot water that you add, add a packet of sugar free apple cider mix. Add a dash of cinnamon. Pour your gelatin into individual cups or a container to solidify. It's pretty tasty and only around 15 calories for a half cup serving.

If desired, sautee chopped apples in a non-stick pan with cooking spray until soft and add them to your gelatin. I used gala apples and it was pretty tasty and the gelatin still set well. You can also put a squirt of reddi-wip (regular or non-fat) on top and the dessert still comes in under fifty calories. If you're really feeling ambitious, you could make parfaits kind of like this and garnish them using cinnamon sticks, star anise, and an apple slice on the rim of your cup.

My daily electrolyte supplements usually look like this:

  • 1 packet of ElectroMix mixed with a teaspoon or 2 of Natural Calm in a glass of water.
  • 1 chicken bullion cube mixed in a tall mug of hot water. (Sometimes I do this twice a day, depending on how I feel.)

The rest of my electrolytes come from food. If I still feel unwell after the above, I may drink another ElectroMix. This seems to be working well for managing my induction.

Remember: Spinach is a good source of potassium and other healthy nutrients. It never hurts to mix it into whatever you're making or have a side salad with some olive oil.

Best of luck to you and KCKO! :)
u/Anikando · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Update: the fabulous /u/learningtogeek just purchased this as a gift for me, so I am withdrawing my entry, but definitely try it out if you get the chance! Raising a hot mug in your honor when I get it. :)

Mint Lemonade - so delicious and refreshing! I haven't had the authentic version since I moved to Portland from the Midwest, but it is really tangy and tasty! They have about half a pound of the mix for $2.59 on Prime.

u/itsbecomingathing · 3 pointsr/keto

Funny enough, another user here mentioned them (as they have 3g of carbs per packet)

Electrolytes

I add them to water and it tastes like a sports drink. It's very helpful if you're used to sodas and don't think you can drink water alone. I would stick to one packet a day and then make sure to eat potassium rich foods like avocado and spinach.

u/neuro_neurd · 3 pointsr/fitmeals

If you're on your way to the gym, you can spike your water with some flavored BCAAs. Otherwise, if you need some flavor without the junk, I'm a fan of Nuun vitamin tablets in water. I also enjoy adding some lime to my carbonated (or non) water, and these packets are great for on-the-go.

u/Natural_Law · 1 pointr/Ultralight

Nice! I'm just kidding about the weight being a big deal.

A sealing top may be very worth the extra weight.

The PB jars I've found are quite narrow and a little harder (or impossible) to get your hand in to scrub real good. Water and shaking is usually enough, but reaching the deepest corner with a scrubbie seems like a nice idea.

Plus, getting PB out of the jar (as you know) is an exercise in frustration compared to dumping powder.

USA grocery stores have them. And here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0005XO2OM/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_325_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=51nhN2%2B7kYL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C100_&refRID=V8XR7C5T4P8Y49FC7E1J

Edit: talenti gelato containers are also 1.8oz and have sealing lids but are about 12oz volume.

My wife commented that their plastic is so hard that is seems like it would shatter in an accidental fall. Whereas the Gatorade is flexible and unlikely to shatter when hitting the ground.

I am still trying to get the fiber part in check, but have found this to be the best sugar free electrolyte supplement out there.

This is my routine for 14 meals/week (Lunch and Dinner), and it's not truly carnivore since I don't eat any read meat :|

  • I don't eat breakfast
  • I do 4 slices of thick cut bacon and 4 eggs/meal for 4 meals
  • 4 chicken burgers/meal for 4 meals (patty and cheese)
  • 1/2 lb of salmon and 4 eggs/meal for 3 meals
  • 1lb of chicken wings/meal for 3 meals

*****I'll add a TBS of butter with each meal if I feel that meal might not be enough

I usually drink diet soda or sparkling water with meals, although I like these more https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JB13AKG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I haven't tried them myself, but these sugar free powdered margarita mix packets could be a good option for the future! Just order the water/lime juice/tequila and add the powder yourself.

I'm not sure about how much, but as for a source I highly recommend ElectroMix (available on Amazon). I bought some recently for backpacking, knowing I might get crampy with the intense exercise, but it made me feel so much better that I'm just going to start eatiing it all the time. It's also pretty cheap, even on my college budget.

u/jook11 · 3 pointsr/LARP

Eh, most people don't make it themselves, just buy a bottle. I imagine it's heated to steep the spices. That's how I've done it when I mulled my own. IMO this is one of the best spiced ciders available

Unfiltered apple juice is also called apple cider, even without spices. Here is an example of a bottle of that, which I recently bought. The top is squashed because the store apparently dropped the bottle, so I got it half price. I will probably ferment this unless I get lazy and just add the mulling spices and serve it hot.

Then there's sparkling cider, which is literally bubbly apple juice. It's delicious, crisp and refreshing, and traditional at holidays in my family.

If someone offers you cider in the US and there is no other context, the most likely thing they are talking about is hot, seasoned apple juice, often made from an instant powder packet (example) (which are mostly available in stores in the fall), however with all the options you can't necessarily be sure what you'll be handed if you don't clarify.
What you can be sure of is it will be non-alcoholic. You'll always see "hard cider" in the US to refer to the cider you're thinking of.

u/banng · 2 pointsr/xxketo

I use this electrolyte powder that I ordered on Amazon to make up for the missing supplements. There is no sugar but it still tastes pretty good!

This will change your life, trust me. If you don't want a box of 100, you can get a 32 count box at Walmart for like $2 in the baking section. My room mates and I drink so much Mexican beer we buy the 500 count True Lime boxes.

> Do you know any recipe for homemade sports drink w/o salt and stuff like coconut water?

Why do you want a sports drink then? For energy or taste? The main things would be sugar (carbs, energy) and salt (electrolytes). That's why people recommend coconut water - it has both in great proportions. If you don't want salt, just use sugar. If you want some flavoring, I like the jolly ranchers to go packs, but there are dozens of brands that make similar flavor packs.

We're cool! Thank you for the spirited defense.

And make it a month's supply of Country Time.

we use the orange and grape koolaid water enhancer's a lot because the Crush ones are not sold in canada.

also the ikea syrups are good but you have to go very slowly as they will cause a lot of foamup. best to put some in a tall glass and slowly add your carbonated water and go mix on demand with that per cup.

I'm totally the same way, just really don't care for plain water, want some flavor.

I thought I'd struck gold with these True Lime (no sugar) packets:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ECLIUA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

...But then I found that citric acid is really bad for your teeth :/

So I'm switching to making iced tea with herbals like Celestial Seasonings, or keeping fresh lemons and limes handy, though they also have citric acid in them, they at least also have vitamin C.

...Sigh.

Hope you get some better answers here!

This! We were apprehensive about asking for 6 ice waters at first, but they were always more than happy to provide them. We would make several stops a day to get ice waters to re-fill our water bottles.

Additional tip, we bought the little kool-aid water flavor bottles (like this: https://www.amazon.com/Kool-Aid-Liquid-Orange-1-62oz-Container/dp/B00B2YMB46/) to flavor the kids water. Made it much easier to get them to drink more and cut down on the begging for other (much more expensive) drinks.

I buy mine through Amazon: True Lime 100 count

It's carried in some grocery stores too, along with their lemon and orange versions. 1 packet is equal to a wedge of lime. I keep a handful of them in my purse along with a little dropper bottle of stevia--just a few drops to offset the extreme tartness of the lime, not enough to turn it into a sweet drink. It's made a huge difference in my drinking habits!

This will help! I love it! I also add salt to it. Your problem is electrolytes.

>but this past weekend I admit I've been bad and ate 200-300 more calories than I should have with takeout

So, first, try not to think of it as "you were bad", you indulged a little. This doesn't mean you failed your lifestyle change, it doesn't mean you have no will power. Eating only 200 - 300 over your calorie limit is actually an incredible step, a lot of folks can go over by over 1000 calories (myself included!). Don't beat yourself up, these are the types of things that are going to happen. You have to live your life. The key to effective weight loss and longer-term healthy weight maintenance is ensuring that your weight loss plan doesn't depend on a perfect, lab-like setting.

>How do I make it easier?

With water drinking, there are a lot of different tricks. I know people that use those little Crystal Light Drink Packets to add flavor to their water. Other folks get a soda stream and add carbonation.

>I hate the bloated/even fatter feeling I get and going to the bathroom every 20 minutes.

So, you might just be forcing yourself to drink more water than you need. Recent studies show that drinking excess water can be really challenging and might be causing your strong negative reaction to water drinking. What I do is have a camelbak water bottle at my desk, which I sip on throughout the day. I don't chug it, I just grab a sip whenever I feel like it. Maybe that might help?

Your results may vary but I discovered a fresh lemon in an extra large glass of water could impact my blood sugar. I switched to True Lemon.

  • 0g Sugar;
  • 0 Calories;
  • <1g carbs;
  • No artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors; no preservatives;
  • no Gluten; Non-GMO
  • 1 packet = the taste of 1 Lemon wedge; 2 packets = 1 Tbsp lemon juice.

The Lime ia equally Tasty! And, to be honest, this is a much more convenient and economical solution; plus adding it to most tap water eliminates ever drinking canned or bottled flavor chemicals.

These lime crystals (they come in lemon too), would save you carrying an extra liquid.

So, a note on the watermelon, it tasted good, kind of like a Jolly Rancher, but boy did the flavor stay with me all night :(

Orange has been my favorite!!

Blegh. I got some lite salt last weekend and tried pouring it into my water because I have heard people say they do that. Apparently I should have put some flavoring in there, because even though I thought it was a small amount of salt for 24oz of water, it was pretty much salt water. And I was determined to drink it! So, that was gross.

This stuff: Elctro-Mix is my godsend right now. It has ZERO calories & carbs and it isn't crazy sweet like other powders. It has a tart flavor, I hate when drinks are super sweet and fake tasting. I drink 1 in the morning with 12oz of water, and keep a pack on me jic I crash during the day.

Grain teas are good, more of a snack than a meal though.

Matt Franko's act debunked:

Though he had a simple act, the delivery was stellar. Here's how it went down.

  1. The carton contained water and only water in it.
  2. The cups had the powdered forms of the different drinks he made. If you look carefully, every time he lifted a cup, he made sure to cover the bottom portion of the cup. Probably because they had the powders in them.
  3. Franko just added water and they changed color. After they sat for a little, they fully saturated and became the drinks.

    Links to the powdered products:

    First he did milk: https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Whole-Milk-Powder-900-Grams/dp/B004K0862K

    Then orange juice: https://www.amazon.com/Orange-Juice-Powder-LBS-907/dp/B006JSPE9O

Powdered apple cider mix. Like this : https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Spiced-Cider-Apple-Flavor/dp/B0016BS29S

But it's generally way cheaper than that.

These are made to go in a bottle of water, but I bet they can be added to tequila. But, does tequila have carbs? I genuinely don't know.

u/a_monomaniac · 1 pointr/Ultralight

Trailrita. Tequila, water, and a couple packets of lime powder.

Make it in a smartwater bottle, shake it around, sip on it. I even bring it into the tent so I have a drink to sip on while I read / fall asleep. It's also nice to wake up in the middle of the night to go pee and you already have a little bit of a cocktail to sip on while staring up at the stars before going back to bed.

Tequila can also go in coffee for that morning pick me up.

I eat a lot of "snacks" as meals, so these are my ideas for chow on the go without a fridge:

  • Almonds

  • Celery

  • Raw Broccoli

  • Peanut Butter

  • Quest Bars

  • ElectroMix (to keep those electrolytes in check)

  • Bacon

  • Hunters Sausage or any low carb jerky

  • Romaine lettuce wrapped meat & cheese sandwiches

  • Cream Cheese wrapped in salami (you can freeze these overnight, then throw them into the cooler and they should defrost by when you want to eat them)

  • Egg muffins (again, you can freeze overnight & they thaw)

  • Coconut oil in coffee. I use something like this or you could use a mason jar to be able to shake the coffee/oil to keep it from separating. If you drink it in the morning, you can use heavy cream too so you don't have to refrigerate it.

Well, the recipe here does not call for the powdered version, but for the drops that you add to flavor water.

These are what I take:

  1. A daily multivitamin OR one serving of EcoDrink Multivitamin
  2. Daily dose of Electromix
  3. Every other day, two of these Magnesium
  4. Everyday, 2 of these Fiber Gummies
  5. Lite Salt on my food

America doesn't have squash. We do have flavor powders you can mix into your water, though.

u/rampion_scampion · 3 pointsr/100DaysofKeto

I also use an electrolyte mix that I mix into water 2x a day. The first time I did Keto, I had a headache and leg cramps about a week in and I drank two of these before I went to bed and my symptoms went away by morning. I drink two packets a day now usually.

u/this_97 · 4 pointsr/keto

The same company (alacer) makes this. 0 carbs, no vitamins, just electrolytes.
