I also bought a stylus with my iPad for note taking in class, and I use that with GoodNotes, which I love. You can write on pdf and stuff. I think Notability is more popular, and Notability has the feature of recording and syncing your handwritten notes together, which is really neat.

>writing assignments

like typing essays? I use google docs. A little bit buggy for some reason...? but there is also iWork, which comes with all new purchases. I would also recommend a keyboard case for this too!

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Protective-Integrated-Keyboard-Black/dp/B00PK260AW

i just got this literally two days ago, and I love it! and its 60% off right now!!!! I really like it because not only is it easier to type on a keyboard, you get so much screen space back without the software keyboard.

>viewing PowerPoints

There is google sheets, keynote, microsoft ppt, I think note taking apps like woodnotes and notability also supports ppt too. I personally like writing on ppt during lecture. Its just easier that you don't have to copy everything down, and I think its helpful while studying for tests because you will not forget to study things that you might not have written down with pen and paper.

>What else is helpful to do on the tablet?

Honestly, the iPad can do soon many things that you do not even know you would want to do. Like I am a CS major, and I can connect to servers and write code on my iPad. There is like almost a million apps in the app store just for iPads, so you can probably find whatever that you need!

Read too many issues with 3rd party docks. So went with the Microsoft Dock but got on Amazon for $126 as $199 default price is too steep for my liking. Kengiston Dock is super sweet. But not at $400 sweet for me.

Any 256gb-400gb from SanDisk,Toshiba,Samsung Best MicroSD Cards for Microsoft Surface of 2019.

Been considering this Moko case. But concerned with added bulk and weight. Tho nice has hand strap.

Also look into a 128gb thumb drive so you can create a recovery usb in case a clean install is needed.

And a very, very strong recommend for Microsoft Complete. You have up to 45 days after purchase to acquire it. Gives an additional year of warranty and 2 incidents of accidental breakage. Will cost $149 and accidental breakage replacement fee is $59. I give a strong recommend as my SP6 died on Sun. the 3rd after just 72 days light to medium use without going mobile about with it. Tho replaced with new and unopened under normal warranty. Want that also in my 2nd year of owning. Maximize my high price paid with maximum protection.

u/personofmalice · 1 pointr/Surface

Been using it for the past week, but the MoKo Slim Shell case is really good:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KGOBFBS/

Bought it to protect the magnesium back from scratches and it's great. Adds a little more bulk, keep that in mind, but so will any case.

What's great about this is that it actually uses the variable kickstand while most of the other cases obstruct it.

Closes magnetically (it won't sleep the device like the Type Cover will, fyi) and feels really secure.

Only cons I have involve the extra heft using it with the Type Cover attached, but without the keyboard it's the best.

I have both 8bitdo SNES controllers:

  • SN 30 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VAQG5GQ/)
  • SN 30 Pro (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BNR6HG9)

The SN30 looks pretty much exactly like the original, except the text says "8Bitdo GamePad Bluetooth Controller" instead of "Super Nintendo Entertainment System". They're both great, and I've gotten pretty good scores in Tetris when playing alone.

But when more controllers are connected, and I'm playing multiplayer Tetris, there's an ever-so-slight input lag that makes me consistently make mistakes. Just switching to the left Joy-Con directional buttons is better.

So my main hope with this official one was that, since it's essentially a Pro controller with missing buttons and sticks, the input lag issue wouldn't exist. I haven't confirmed it. I'll do it this Friday at the office where we play Tetris regularly.

The fact that it also looks like the official one is just a plus ;)

Logi Type+

I upgraded to a Pro 10.5 and even thought I coughed up the $160 for the Smart Keyboard, I still miss the Logi Type +. For the way I use my iPad, it was the best setup.

It wasn't quite as easy to separate from the ipad, but it folded around the back. It didn't stay connected when you detached the iPad (which is an issue with most BT keyboards). The keyboard felt great, had media controls, and the case was a good deal of protection without being bulky.

And it always just worked. There is a magnet along the top to hold the iPad in place as a stand. When you stood up the iPad, it worked. When you folded it flat or closed or removed it, it disconnected. My Smart keyboard actually has issues with flaking out (hopefully just mine and they will just replace it).

I also tried the Logi smart keyboard for the 10.5 and it wasn't as convenient, returned it for the (even more expensive) Smart Keyboard. I think the Type + retailed for about $80, but I got mine brand new on clearance at BB for $30, and I expect you could find one close to that. It's $66 on Amazon right now.

u/pointui · 1 pointr/ipad
  1. Do you like Zite more than Flipboard?

  2. Also, since you use your keyboard so much, thought you might like the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard. Definitely pricey but I think it's the best looking one out there and makes it look like a laptop. It's a keyboard cover, similar to the style the Windows slate received hype about. Maybe it's easier than carrying your Origami keyboard separately?
u/m_bishop · 25 pointsr/Cyberpunk

Okay, sure.

First, it's nowhere near done. I'd just finished cutting the metal, and the holes for the ports, and fit the whole thing together for the first time. I'm planning to make bezels for the ports from aluminum, paint everything, add some decals and a soft cover out of black rubber I found. I really want make it look like a movie prop.

The 'purpose' was that I wanted a portal Pi. I built an arcade machine (http://www.reddit.com/r/raspberry_pi/comments/1nwsk2/my_mame_rebuild_with_pi_xposted_to_rcade/) and kept wishing I had some way of sitting on the couch in the living room while configuring it I get tired of sitting at my workbench on that stool after a while.

As for why I chose to make it a prop-style cyber-deck because I have a friend who wants to make a sci-fi movie, and I told her I thought I could probably wire up some props for her, but most of the stuff I build is more function than fashion, so I decided it would be a cool project to make something that looks like it could be used as a movie prop. I already had the video glasses, and the Pi is simple to wire together, so it seemed like a good idea.

How will I use it? I'll use it for a way to configure Pi images on the couch, and I'll connect it to my giant projector in the theater room, so I can play arcade games in there, and watch movies from it. It'll just be nice to have a Pi that I can easily move around the house. Also, I'm thinking my next 'prop' project will be to make a pair of headphones with a 2" LCD mounted in front of it, which will be mostly just to continue practicing making props, but also so I can play arcade games while watching TV with my wife in the livingroom.

Materials:

Video Glasses: http://www.vuzix.com/consumer/products_dv920/

I cut the keyboard out of one of these when I moved to a 10" tablet.

http://www.amazon.com/SANOXY%C2%AE-Tablet-Stand-USB-Keyboard/dp/B004OB0EBQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395508795&sr=8-1&keywords=7%22+usb+tablet+keyboard+case

The 'case' was one of these pencil boxes that I found on clearance and just happened to be exactly the right size for the keyboard:

http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/671053/Vaultz-Locking-Pencil-Box-Assorted-Colors/?cm_mmc=PLA-_-Google-_-School_Supplies-_-671053-IQ_PE%20&Channel=Google&mr:trackingCode=5A35CA41-B707-DF11-BAE3-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA&mr:device=t&mr:adType=pla&mr:ad=34547097596&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:filter=62971337876

Other than that, there's just an 8 battery box and a UBEC for 5v conversion, a Raspberry Pi, and a 4-port USB hub that I hacked to shit to fit into the box.

I'm a design student and I'm planning to get a 11 inch pro. Its coming off my one-time education loan and I see it as a long-term investment for at least 4 years down the line. Why the 11 inch pro, despite its butter like bending properties?

because, it's performance that can handle advanced apps in the future, like photoshop CC and more.

I did my research on the internet and got surprised reading this on reddit. After a lot of posts and videos, i decided to get a metal case for my ipad, Like the one here, but for ipad pro 11. So far I couldn't find any. If anyone knows any similar product that'd make my 11 inch pro a tank, please do share in the comments. Thank you.

Also i came across this. I'm not sure how hard it is to bend this case. Of course not as hard as steel or aluminium, but if its any good compared to otterbox symmetry or defender(which are ugly and expensive). If anyone has used it, or wanna try, please share your experience.

u/bckrupps40 · 1 pointr/ipad

The Zugu case is outstanding. Probably the best case i ever used on a tablet. I suggest buying like new off Amazon to save $10. Mine looked like it's never been used.

I picked up a $15 Moko one on Amazon for the iPad Pro 12.9". It works incredibly well and offers great protection at a low price. You can also show off the back of the iPad, as it's fairly transparent as well.

Here's the 9.7" one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0158AZOHU/

Seems to have tons of great reviews as well. I think it's worth it. (Note, it isn't compatible with the Smart Keyboard.)

u/Timid_Enthusiast · 1 pointr/iPadPro

I use my Smart Keyboard cover as my daily driver but got this stand up folio case to use on the plane. It’s pretty much exactly the same as the Apple Smart Folio cover but only cost $20. Highly recommend it.

This post is a bit old now, and idk if you ever picked up the UAG case you mentioned, but I've had luck with this case.

My favorite feature on my SP6 is the kickstand without a doubt, but most cases block the use of the kickstand unfortunately, so I found this case and have used it for about 4 months now.

The only downfall of this case is that the plastic bar at the bottom where the kickstand is located is noticably flimsy. After months of use, however, I don't see this piece ever breaking under regular use nor any reason to hold the Surface from that point anyways as there is a strap built in that works quite well.

Other than that, it's a sturdy case with a nice rubber keyboard tab on the corner to keep your cover in place when not in use, and I have access to all of the ports, the kickstand, and the SD slot behind the kickstand.

Oh yeah, and the Pen holder works a little too well. You'll never lose it, but I recommend pulling the pen out rather than sliding it out as the tight grip will just pull the pen apart revealing the battery compartment.

u/Schiaparelli · 2 pointsr/femalefashion

I used an iPad for a full semester as my primary carry-around device (stopped only because I started taking design studios where I needed to run Photoshop in class). With a Bluetooth keyboard (I love this Logitech one because it has hard keys and a reasonably proportioned keyboard layout, which is hard to find) + a stylus if you like drawing diagrams or writing notes, I think it's a super nice setup.

I don't find it a distraction just because it's harder to pseudo-multitask and have a bunch of stuff open instead of just focusing on your notes. Basically, if you can control your urge to check a smartphone, you can control your urge to get distracted on an iPad. Using a stylus and writing notes makes it even easier to stay focused, I think.

YOU SHOULD DO IT. #tabletsupremacy #nobackproblems

I’ve seen 2 options compatible with the smart folio.

Option 1: i-Blason Halo V2.0 Series Case Designed for iPad Pro 11 Inch Case 2018, [for use ONLY with Smart Keyboard; Compatible with Official Smart Cover] Hybrid Protective Case with Pencil Holder, Black, 11" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PQVDHK9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jWKPDbCKXA0K3

Option 2: SWITCHEASY 2018 iPad Pro 11 Protective Cover, CoverBuddy Case with Pencil Holder for iPad Pro 11, Compatible with Smart Keyboard Folio, Smart Folio and Apple Pencil (11 - Space Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P7L7FWR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_TXKPDbYG4T2M6

The 1st one, you’ll wont be able to remove the Smart Keyboard easily. Thus it adds more security when grabbing it from the case

On the other hand, The 2nd one, will reduce the magnets force, but it will allow you to carry the ipad around without the Smart Keyboard if needed.

Disclosure: for my use case I never was able to justify the cost of the Smart Keyboard (although I did research a lot). Finally, I got the key to go from logitech. plus a cover.

u/Darth_Moose · 1 pointr/Surface

I bought the Moko smart shell case. So far it seems pretty great, though I haven't spent much time with it as it just came in today.
I am hoping to post some pictures and a mini review soon. :)

u/atx512girl · 2 pointsr/ipad

I personally have a separate keyboard, but my use case has to take into account that I have kids that use my iPad occasionally so a very protective Ipad case/cover is a must. So I have an Otterbox on my 12.9 Pro. My keyboard is one I’m loving so far but haven’t used extensively so I’m keeping an open mind...I purchased the Plugable Full Size Folding Keyboard . Folds up and has a case that doubles as a stand for the Ipad. For under $50 on Amazon it was a great deal for me.

u/BROwn15 · 1 pointr/gadgets

The iPad is widely regarded as a far superior tablet to others in its size. Also, the dockable keyboard is not a reason to buy the Eee Pad Transformer (which is still a great product btw, just not as good as the iPad) when products like this exist for less. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007PRHNHO/ref=asc_df_B007PRHNHO2091290?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B007PRHNHO&hvpos=1o1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9993830511604379369&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=

Furthermore, Microsoft Surface has neither a release date nor a price set, so someone in the market for a tablet who knows little enough about the market to require outside input on their purchase should not be concerned with Surface, although admittedly it does look very cool. While there is certainly competition in the tablet market, outside of product cost, it is not yet competitive.

u/postnumbers · 2 pointsr/iPadPro

I recently read reviews of the UAG Scout that rated it quite highly for this purpose. It slips over the Smart Keyboard Folio and protects the back of the case. It's not as slim as the case you had on your older 10.5 though.

https://www.amazon.com/11-inch-Feather-Light-Rugged-Military-Tested/dp/B07RPY4PQF/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=uag+scout&qid=1572956812&sr=8-1

You should buy this scarf for yourself because I know it would look gorgeous on you! I'd love this Kindle keyboard stand for SO's Kindle Fire because our computer's are old and horrible and it would be nice to type on the kindle! :) Thanks for the contest!

u/brian21 · 1 pointr/ipad

I have this one for the 9.7 and it looks like real leather and has thus held up really well in what I'd say is a pretty grueling travel schedule the last few months. Looks like the company makes one for the 12.9 too. Pretty cheap.

u/D4RKH0R5E · 1 pointr/ipad

Sorry I can't help on the stylus side of things since I haven't touched one since my Palm Pilot.... and that seems like a lifetime ago. And I certainly didn't do any art with it!

But since few are recommending a case cheaper than the Apple's own, I have the Devicewear Ridge on mine, it has been my favorite case so far, and it fits your low-profile request plus your bonus smart cover / magnet wants. BUT unfortunately for you it doesn't have a stylus holder. I did a quick search for one with a stylus holder and most have the "slide in" sleeves for your iPad (Like the Snugg case ) which I would not recommend, I had that kind before I got the Devicewear and the sleeve area always got in the way of the edges of the screen. Another sort-of option would be the Moko case, but beware that you have to partially pop it out of the case to use it as a kickstand, which was a deal-breaker for me. However, it has a hand strap and stylus loop and doesn't cover the screen. So it may work for you.

Personally I'd look for one that clips in like the Devicewear (especially if you are doing art on it), or just sew on your own stylus loop if you have those skills.

u/EpicWolverine · 1 pointr/Surface

If you want something really rugged and don't mind losing the native kickstand, get one of the cases others have recommended like the UAG. If you'd like to keep the native kickstand, this is the only case I've found that does it right. I use the keyboard cover too (which will also protect the screen if you don't already have that), so I sliced off the cover part of that case, leaving just the back, and it works wonderfully.

u/sparksdls · 2 pointsr/ipad

1.62 lbs sounds high, even with the case. It's not light by any means but it doesn't seem a pound and a half. As for folding keyboards, I tend to agree. The one I'm using isn't bad but if I were going to be doing a lot of typing then I would go with either of my Logitechs or the Anker. Because I use the K360 all the time with my laptop, I'd probably go with it. I'm really used to it and it works so well with the iPad. I use a Zugu case on the iPad and the front cover folds behind it when standing open so the keyboard can sit closer to the iPad screen -

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MXXM6P

I looked at the iClever but didn't like the looks of the little pivot points sticking up - they seem like they could be in the way. Keyboards are one of those things where personal preferences play a huge role - what one person likes can easily be hated by another.

u/TheSturmjaeger · 1 pointr/Goruck

I tried using my Rucker as a daypack. It worked, but I wouldn't have wanted to try doing that with a laptop, as everything would have been packed to the gills, and that's not my style.

Semi related, but i bought this [Zugu Case] (https://www.amazon.com/ZUGU-CASE-Protective-Convenient-Magnetic/dp/B075MXXM6P/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1524152208&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=zugu+case&psc=1) a few months ago, and its excellent. Only case I have used (and i bought and returned a ton of them to test what i liked) that uses magnets to hold it in a firm position, in multiple display modes. Bit expensive, but its the best one ive used.

Picked this one up (12.9) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016VZYA5I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_XoXDAbDK93WPW.
Fits ok, there is a tiny bit of space but it doesn't move around. There is also a loop in there to hold the pen, but I don't have a pen so can't comment on the fit.
Quality is just alright...Not amazing, not horrible.

u/iamelroberto · 2 pointsr/iPadPro

Why would you say it’s the best? No spot to hold the pencil, doesn’t flip around backwards, no corner protection, and it’s not really that stable looking when it’s tilted back, as it requires the keyboard lifting up as a result to even get into the proper position.

Honestly I think the Apple designed magnetic keyboard is way better for practical use. Slap one of these babies on and you’ve got protection too. Best I’ve found so far.

Yes, it wraps around the corners of the iPad and protects the sides and edges. It’s an i-Blason case. Really neat. You can get it on their website, or on Amazon. Make sure you get the right size for the iPad depending on if it’s 11 or 12.9.

I wanted a hard back case compatible with the Smart Keyboard. Seemed like everything was cut wrong on the camera, buttons, smart connector or other area.

After reading reviews (early ones say the cut is wrong, recent ones say it’s been fixed and is correct), I ordered the MoKo Translucent Slim Hard Plastic Bumper Protector / Back Cover: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0719P6XNB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_VpwvzbV9R9PK8

u/snapacap · 3 pointsr/Surface

i got This.

I got it because people said it was less bulky than the Kensington equivalent. I also looked at the UAG cases, but it seemed like a waste to not use the awesome kickstand built into the Surface Pro.

Also, I have found the pen holder to be super useful. It holds on and never lets go. I don't have much trouble using the ports with it on either.

u/SoaringFox · 2 pointsr/ipad

I think you should go for it. I never had my pro in college, but I use it for taking notes in meetings at work now and it is awesome. It takes a bit of getting used to because it feels different, but having everything in one place and being able to search through my handwriting (with Goodnotes) is worth it.

I got this case for mine. It's less than $20 and it has a little loop on one side to keep the Pencil in.

Just bought this cover from Amazon last week. Only 30 bucks and I'm very impressed with the quality so far. Do yourself a favor and save the $$$$.

Bought this case and liked it. The cover is a little slack for what I want, so tried the apple smart cover. No joke, it functions 100% the exact same. The apple has a little better material, but that is it. I was shocked and returned it to apple the next day. Not paying $50 for the same functionality of a $10 case...its honestly shocking apple offers that shite. Yes, its sized to work with the silicone case, but there's another $70. $120 for both, or a $10 case that will do basically all of it.

u/Alzarath · 2 pointsr/INEEEEDIT

In contrast, I use a folding Plugable keyboard and it's actually really convenient for taking notes on my phone in school.

It's no glorious mechanical keyboard, but it's certainly a lot better than using a virtual keyboard or, god forbid, writing notes with a pencil.

I've been looking at some on Amazon but haven't pulled the trigger on any yet. The Amazon Basics model seems like it will be a little snug based on the dimensions, but it is hard to argue with that price.

edit: Actually, I went ahead and ordered this sleeve. I like the design of a flap vs a zipper, and it's only $4 so I don't mind taking a chance. The dimensions seem like it will be fine with the keyboard.

I purchased an inexpensive back cover just to have one until a better one comes along. Bad news: the hole for the camera bump is too small. Good news: the vendor notified me of this before my iPad arrived, and they're sending a corrected version free of charge. So I just modified the incorrect cover with a Dremel tool while I'm waiting for the corrected version.

Edit, 11 days later: the corrected replacement back case arrived and fits properly. If you're looking for an inexpensive back case for the 10.5" iPad Pro, I recommend this one.

Just got this in the mail today

Pretty cool so far. I got it since I didn't want a sleeve case so I needed a case with corner protection. Also spent a lot of time on amazon reading reviews on different cases. This one seems like the only one I've found so far that has all the pros without any cons except one. Only one guy said that the little slot to hold the pen is a little thick so it stretched out his clipper on the pen. So he can't clip it onto his shirt for example. I still bought the case and I was thinking about sanding down the little slot so its thinner so I don't have the same problem. Or I may use that loop that came with the keyboard and attach it to the case elsewhere.

Keyboard flips back all the way as well as the magnetic tilt. That's what was my main concern while searching cases

u/goodloom · 2 pointsr/ipad

I like mine a lot, but i'm not concerned about protecting it from bending. I mostly use it as a nice versatile stand. Yes it is a bit floppy when you close it, but so far that hasn't been a issue. And I don't have any issue with it peeling back when lifted, so i'm not sure what you mean. However, it does take some practice to figure out how to open it when closed. And taking pictures is awkward because the back cover obscures the camera. Still, all total i haven't seen any other cases i would trade it for, but then again ruggedness isn't a big criteria for me. For protection i can put it in a little carry case, amazon basics which is very inexpensive: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-DZS1311197-10-Inch-Tablet-Sleeve/dp/B00I8T4PUG

Senior biomedical engineering student, starting medical school this summer...

Get the SP3. You will not regret it. Best purchase I've ever made! The month after I got mine, 4 classmates sold their laptops and did the same because they were so jealous of how I was able to take notes.

SP3 + pen + OneNote is a borderline unfair advantage for students and it's a beautiful thing.

Just invest in a good case. I'm pretty careful, so I've stuck with a skin and been fine. If I had kiddos, I'd get one of these and call it a day.

I understand the money for repairs, but I take solace in knowing that all my notes are in one drive, synched automatically by OneNote, so even if my computer spontaneously combusted, I could take my wife's macbook and not miss a beat.

Probably not good. I bought this keyboard case for my nook. It looks like the keyboard parts are identical between those two case.

I found the keyboard is too narrow to type on comfortably. I realize now that any keyboard I would want to type on, would have to be wider than a 7" tablet.

Had one of few case designs that integrates the kickstand into the bottom section of its back, the MoKo Ultra Slim Lightweight Smart-shell Cover Case http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Surface-Pro-Case-Lightweight/dp/B00KGOBFBS. After 7 months one of the plastic tabs broke so it may have been worth ordering two at the prices they sell for on Amazon. Also, I dropped my Surface while it was encased in it from a height of about 3 ft. at the airport and it survived... maybe just lucky though.

I decided to try a different style case from Moko that doesn't really allow the use of the surface kickstand, but has stronger tabs: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KGOB3SI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00. It weighs almost the same, maybe a few grams more than the one that integrates the kickstand.

There was a similar post a week or so ago pointing to a similar product.

I bought one. It's fun and silly. My co workers think I'm strange. A bit to soft though to provide proper wrist support. It's not wide enough compared to most wrist rests. I have to keep it about an inch away from the edge of my keyboard to type. Length wise it's as long as a TKL, but it's tapered on the ends. So it really is more suited for a 40% keyboard.

u/the_steak_man · 1 pointr/iPadPro

I found two cases designed to work with the iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard:

I-Blason: https://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Designed-Keyboard-Compatible-Protective/dp/B07PQVDHK9
Urban Armor Gear: https://www.amazon.com/11-inch-Feather-Light-Rugged-Military-Tested/dp/B07RPY4PQF

The iBlason appeared to be lighter and lower profile, so I bought it. Note that there’s a v1 and v2, from reading reviews, make sure to get the V2.

Some additional feedback from using it for a week:

The material is soft and pliable, the listing says TPU for the bumper. The clear part is also rather soft and actually picked up a few scratches when I was cleaning it with a cloth! Not a huge deal though, since you can’t really see it installed on the dark case.

I weighed the case by itself at 2.8 ounces. That’s just enough additional weight to be a bit noticeable. it also makes the iPad a bit top-heavy when you set it in typing mode. I’m not sure if it’s accurate but the Amazon listing for the UAG Scout notes the product weighs 5 ounces, which would likely make the iPad quite top-heavy.

I’m more afraid of accidentally leaving mine somewhere than carrying it around with me. I have the Smart Keyboard and [this case] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PQVDHK9). Those two together and the padded sleeve in my backpack make me feel very secure.

u/WhatChaSniffin · 3 pointsr/ipad

That looks like the Dino Case

u/geraldwo · 1 pointr/iPadPro

I was wondering if this Sleeve would goes well with this Case

u/ItsOKIamADoctor · 3 pointsr/ipad

I have this one. Works fine, looks fine, and is super cheap.

If I am understanding your question, it covers the keyboard attaching bit when the cover is closed, but I suppose it does expose it when the cover is folded back.

This one looks decent. I've been looking for such a case since I dont/cant have microsoft complete and I dont have any support from microsoft in my country. This one looks promising.

This seems good, but as I mentioned I'm using a case that was given to me and don't actually own this one.

And I use it with my Galaxy S8 Plus. Worth every penny

Is there any chance at all that a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover that was compatible with iPad 2, 3, and 4 will connect to the 10.5" iPad Pro? It doesn't need to function as a case, necessarily, but just be usable as a Bluetooth keyboard.

Edit to add link to product I'm talking about: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PRHNHO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered a 12.9” iPad Pro and the only case I found that seemed to support the Apple Pencil and wireless charging was one by Ztotop. They also seem to make the same case for the 11” version. https://www.amazon.com/Ztotop-Strong-Magnetic-Minimalist-Trifold/dp/B07JVBFXVB

I decided to hold off on buying the 12.9” case since their other, similar cases for previous models had some mixed reviews concerning the quality. Also, the 12.9” case costs around $28, which is more than I wanted to spend for a likely temporary case. If it was closer to $15 I would have just bought it, but I decided to spend the money on an inexpensive sleeve that I will still be able to use even after I get a case for my iPad.

u/UrUsualGamer · 1 pointr/iPadPro

UAG make a case that sits over the top of the Apple keyboard and iPad in one, a link provided to the 11 inch version (I know you have the 12.9 inch but you can work from the link to find the 12.9.

If the link doesn’t work, this ( https://youtu.be/u7Dc9cVhRBo ) YouTube video mentions it and links it in the description, item number 20.

I recommend getting one of these (says NES Classic but should work with the SNES Classic since it uses the same controller port), and one of these.

(Bonus: The controller also works with PC and Switch)

I have the SP3 i5 128GB with a grey type cover, the MoKo Ultra Slim Lightweight Shell Stand Cover Case with the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 that I've been meaning to get replaced with a bluetooth one but the Arc Touch Mouse is so damn expensive.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/tablets

It should come with a cord or adapter that lets it connect a usb keyboard. As for the keyboard. amazon has some decent tablet stuff on the cheap.

u/foxh8er · 1 pointr/Nexus7

Holy smokes!

Not exactly what I was looking for (I was looking for the folding part), but this is awesome for the price.

What do you think of this case?

u/didyouwoof · 1 pointr/ipad

It was this. I wonder why he deleted his post.

u/j_mence · 1 pointr/billiards

I use carabiners and attach where the straps connect and I put towels or my dart travel bag for extra carrying space. Just get a zip pouch or two and connect them that way.

In case anyone is wondering, this is an actual keyboard wrist rest. I did end up looking at the item and it turns out to be a real thing.

This keyboard is ultraportable and has a USB connection mode.

You can always make your own USB keyboard using a teensy microcontroller and instructions from around the web. Massdrop sells kits every now and then.
