Shamelessly stealing /u/xpurplexamyx's formatting because it's very good.

Boots

  • Forma Adventure - Super comfortable boots that I can wear all day. They get a bit sweaty though and on hot days I wish I had the short version as my calves get too warm.
  • TCX X-Blend - Good for a more casual look, but still sweaty on warmer days due to the waterproof liner. I do prefer these on warmer days as my calves are at least free to breath, but I only use them on shorter trips.

    Gloves

  • Oxford Convoy - Waterproof lightweight gloves. Good for warmer days that are wet but no armor to speak of. Bought as an impulse buy as I really needed some waterproof gloves before the weather had got cold and they were cheap in a local shop.
  • Weise Street Fight - My summer gloves bit they're alright if it gets a bit cold. Not waterproof but I have never got wet hands with them on and I wear them even when it rains (like today). Having hand guards might help with that though.
  • Richa Artic - Winter/cold gloves that are waterproof. They work well and are fairly warm, though my fingertips still get cold. On really wet days the outer gets quite soggy and they are hard to get back on. I would still buy them again though.

    Clothing

  • Rev'It Poseidon jacket + trousers - Perfect. Has kept me 100% dry and warm throughout winter and has enough ventilation on warmer days. I did get a bit hot on the Sunday just gone when at a standstill but once moving it was much better. I only ever wear a t-shirt under the jacket and my liners have been out for a couple of months now. Perfect for pretty much any weather in this country.
  • Rev'it Axis over trousers - Absolutely brilliant for wet commutes. They zip all the way down the side of the leg and you can get them on/off even when wearing the big Forma boots. They have never let any water in which I find amazing considering the zip runs the length of the leg.
  • Richa Bonneville jacket - A more casual jacket that I haven't used too much as I've found the Poseidon isn't actually too bad in looks. Nice and warm in winter and not too hot on warmer days, though I've not tried it on hot days. Kept me dry in light rain but not tested it more than that.
  • RST Wax Aramid Fibre Jeans - Casual trousers that I wear to work on dry days and on shorter journeys. They are pretty warm for a pair of jeans but I do worry about the level of protection compared to higher end jeans. The side pockets are too small and I can't even fit my wallet in them!

    Base layers

  • T-shirt for the top, or a shirt for commuting days. Nothing under the trousers unless it's a wet commute then I wear a normal pair of jeans under the Axis trousers.

    Ear protection

  • Pinlock Earplugs - They fit great off the bike (the medium ones feel loose, the large perfect). As soon as I put my helmet on the large are SUPER uncomfortable and gave me ear ache. The mediums I only tried once, the left was great, the right felt too loose like it had fallen out. I feel like I am using them wrong given /u/xpurplexamyx's review.

    Helmet

  • Caberg Vox - First helmet bought because it had a sun visor, was cheap, and had 5 star SHARP rating. I don't think it is sold anymore but it did the job. Airflow was pretty poor and I bought a size too big with my noobness. Worked for a first helmet though.
  • Caberg Duke - My second helmet. It's OK for what it is, again it's a cheap (for a flip front) helmet with 5 star SHARP rating. A bit noisy and it got pretty loose after a while but the size down didn't fit me. Good if you need a cheap flip front and I am happy to use it as a second helmet.
  • Shoei GT Air - Brilliant helmet full of features. It deserves the word air in the title, the breeze across the top of your head is so strong it actually styles your hair into 3/4 mini mohawks! Also it looks fucking badass in yellow with a dark smoke visor.

    Other stuff

  • Lomo Dry Bag Daysack 30L - Cheaper than motorcycle specific backpacks and does what it's supposed to. Nothing fancy, just one big area to chuck stuff into and a zip pocket on the front. Has stayed dry through anything I have ridden in so far.
  • Buff that I had laying around from when I used to cycle to uni in winter.

    Security

  • Oxford Boss disk lock - Not had any of the problems that /u/xpurpleamyx mentioned so I guess that could mean it's a bit of a lucky dip when buying these. No idea what to say other than it has worked for me so far.
  • Almax Immobiliser Series IV Uber + Squire SS65CS Lock - A beast of a chain and lock. I use this to lock the bike to the Torc ground anchor when at home. I sleep well at night knowing my pride and joy is protected by this. Well worth the cost.
  • Oxford Hardcore XL Chain - Used for the second bike. The padlock can be hard to get the key into sometimes but otherwise works well. I am worried about how much security it actually gives me but the second bike is better protected in terms of location so it doesn't need an Almax.
  • Oxford HD Chain - My out and about chain as I found the Hardcore XL too heavy to put in a backpack. Still weighs a bit too much but it is bearable. Pretty sure this won't stop anyone but I try and park next to someone with worse security and a more desirable bike anyway. Nothing more than a deterrent. I don't use the supplied padlock as I am pretty sure I could sneeze and it would open. Instead I lock it with the Boss disc lock.
  • Torc Ground Anchor - A beast of a ground anchor that can be fitted to a wall. It does it's job and any attacker would have a hell of a job getting through it. Nothing fancy, just a big beefy anchor.
  • Oxford Brute Force Ground Anchor - For the second bike, I am genuinely worried at how quick an attacked could get through this. Luckily to get to the bike any potential thief would have to make quite a bit of noise so it's just a deterrent.

    Want list

  • New gloves. The Weise gloves get uncomfortable after a few hours and give me blisters.
  • New boots. Some that don't make my feet sweat so much on warm days.
  • Too much to list.

I love my Torque. I'd even call it underrated—by my own self. I keep forgetting about it and then rediscovering it. If all you've known so far has been a Quickshot, I think you're really going to be amazed by what full-length insertion in one of these feels like, and the Torque has a nice varied and progressive texture. What's especially fun is that since it's clear, you can see what each part of the texture is contributing to what you're feeling. You can get in there and really spend some time in each part and begin to appreciate the uniqueness and the variety of sensation. (This can also be fun during partner play. My experience was that once she understood which parts of the texture moving over which parts of me were making me gasp and squirm, she used that knowledge and the visual feedback strategically. Plus, the clear sleeve magnifies your dick. Who doesn't love that?) In fact, if you aren't long enough to feel all the way to the end, someday try taking the sleeve out of the case and using it that way so that you can go all the way. There's a little sample of an old texture called Ultra Ribbed at the very end. I can't reach it when the sleeve is in the case, but taking the sleeve out of the case so that I can spend some time in that zone has always been worth it. It really makes me want a full sleeve of that.

Another trick is to position the bulb of nubs, about 3.5" in (you'll see it) over one of your sweet spots and rotate it back and forth for some horizontal sensation. You can thank me later.

And finally, since you do already have a Quickshot, someday try using the both at the same time. You can unlock a ton of variety and discover a lot of new pleasurable sensations this way. I also sometimes like to "get there" with the Torque and then cum with the Quickshot. Sometimes a full-sleeve Fleshlight is too intense during an orgasm so I have to sort of just seize up and stay still. With the Quickshot, you can continue to stimulate with precision in just the right spot (just below the hypersensitive head) throughout the orgasm...sort of like when you jerk off, but with the sweetness of a Fleshlight sleeve.

As far as cleaning goes, yes, everything short of your own hand is going to be harder to clean and dry than a Quickshot, but it's well worth it for what it feels like. The good thing about the Torque, since it's clear though, is that you can see inside and make sure that you got everything out, which helps prevent you from cleaning it more than you need to. With Fleshlight sleeves, it's not so much the cleaning as it is the drying if you need to be discreet/secretive about your Fleshlight activities, and to that end, the Torque is a little better than average full-insertion sleeves as far as drying time goes. The entry is less restrictive and less obstructed than most of the anatomical entries, so you get decent airflow. A little USB fan like this one can speed drying considerably. If you need super secret speedy drying, you could get a rechargeable battery-powered fan (like one of these) and set it up to dry out of eyesight somewhere like up on a high shelf or at the top of your closet.

Enjoy!

Hey I'm not the OP, for more info please go to the original post to congratulate them. :)

Personally I DO live in a van, it's a 1992 Chevy G20 Gladiator. I have a memory foam mattress on top of a wooden platform, totes and cardboard boxes for storage (food, clothing, etc.) underneath. having the mattress off the floor gives space for storage, and also insulates the mattress from the heat or cold of the ground.

For privacy I have tinted windows, non-adhesive window film, collapsible foil sunshade for the front window, and black bug screen mesh like this for the side windows.

For water I use sturdy Arizona tea jugs. I have a basic Coleman camping toilet for nighttime and emergency uses - some people simply use pee bottles or five gallon buckets.

If it's cold at night I have a [12V electric blanket](https://www.walmart.com/ip/TREKSAFE-12-Volt-Heated-Travel-Blanket-White/54609929] and/or a 12V "car seat" warmer that I put under the mattress. I also have a propane Little Buddy heater which I have not yet used.

My main luxury item is an Alpicool C15 refrigerator powered by two 35AH "house batteries" (in parallel) which are charged using a Battery Doctor isolator. The Battery Doctor is run by my alternator when I drive-it only starts charging the house batteries after my van battery is full. The fridge uses 5.8AH per day. I used a cooler for a year, but the drawbacks are constantly buying or procuring ice (like from soda fountains), and food spoilage from it getting waterlogged, plus having to drain it frequently.

For hot meals, I use a 12 volt "lunchbox cooker" (works similar to a crock pot) which is powered in my cigarette lighter while I drive (or I can run it with the house batteries through a 12v splitter - the Alpicool is plugged into the other side. I also have a propane camping stove which I have never used.

I have a USB mini fan to run at night, or I can run my small regular fan through the 300W power inventor where I can also charge my laptop and/or phone (I usually charge the phone in the cigarette lighter).

I don't make any money if you buy from any of these links, but I only used them for illustrative purposes - I encourage you to shop around on Craigslist, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, check yard sales, etc. find the best priced similar item that works best for you. You don't have to get everything all at once - I didn't. But if you can get a basic minivan or van (seats removed), a mattress (or sleeping bag even) on a frame, and some jugs of water, it's a start.

u/Domdigity · 5 pointsr/comiccon

First off, congratulations! You know how the crowds will be, the waiting, and the bathroom situations, so honestly, you are already looking good there.

Last year, my wife attended and was about the same in terms of being in the first trimester (also first pregnancy). /u/housecatspeaks already has some great points about resting more. I would also recommend these mini-usb fans to keep cool: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PWD24LL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They plug into any USB port so if you have a battery pack for your phone, you can use these on there and they will move the air exactly were you need it.

One last thing, be sure to bring whatever snacks you CAN eat since my wife didn't like the smell of anything in the food courts or nearby restaurants.

u/buttface_fartpants · 5 pointsr/macsetups

Yeah, mounting the monitor is no issue for me but the ventilation is definitely something I didn't really think about. I might mount that power brick to the back of the desk and drill some holes like you said. thanks!

Edit: Been thinking about it and I don't use the peripherals in the drawer often (hard drives just for backup every so often and the DVD drive to copy a few DVDs here and there. I think if I mount something like this fan on the underside of the drawer it may solve my issue. What do you think? https://www.amazon.com/Yoosion-Cooling-Router-Computer-Watertank/dp/B01KTG4208/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1496058326&sr=1-5&keywords=small+usb+fan

u/finallyrageisabitch · 1 pointr/FortNiteMobile

This bad boy right here will do a pretty good job at keeping your phone cool. i feel like without these there isn't much that can be done to keep your phone from getting hot, definitely a necessity for me since if the phone gets even the slightest bit hot the screen dims to like 10% and i can't deal with that lmao

u/itsijl · 6 pointsr/urbancarliving

This fan is LEGENDARY. I can’t believe how much air such a small fan running on such low energy can move it’s absolutely mind blowing.

https://www.amazon.com/OPOLAR-Updated-Adjustable-Portable-Personal/dp/B07K2YDF34

Foldable Anker 20+ watt solar panels in your dashboard/ back window.

With around 4-5 of them I’m able to run unlimited fans (up to 5) at a time, unlimited lights, and using my tablet 14 hours a day.

You put two or three in the back and the same for upfront you can even put them on your roof if you live in an Rv / van.

Even when it’s cloudy outside you can get plenty of energy when the sun is out you get up to 2.1A out of the solar panels just as much as you get out of a wall.

It really is mind blowing how convenient and storable these panels are each panel is the size of a small tablet folded.

5 panels + 5-7 20,000 mah packs, have the usb cables running from the panels to your packs, switch out dead packs for fresh ones as needed.

The more battery packs you have the better I’d say up to 10 is great, the Anker ones with double inputs are great, although I stick to a pure usb c set up. (Double input 26800 mah ones are using micro usb still)

For routers poke around here, pick any in the top 3 or 4 of the rankings. TP-Link C7 or C8 seem to be the best value and are good as well.

If you pick one of the Asus router's most have a custom firmware from AsusWRT-Merlin. I have an Asus, they a little hot, so I also bought a USB laptop cooler.

I bought a small usb pluggable fan and put it on my desk aimed not too far from my hand. Works wonders. My hands are made of butter so I tried lots of things.

Another suggestion to add to the mix is to get yourself a fan! I'm also a ridiculously sweaty beast and carry a small folding fan (bought at the dollar store) in my purse to at least keep my face cool. I also am a huge fan of those small battery powered fans and fully plan to pack one and some extra batteries in my wedding day bag so I can get a bit of air movement up my skirt if needed.

I personally like USB-powered fingerless gloves/hand warmers. Some are also stupidly cute with the additional warmth from USB power.

Yessss create the fan panel!! You could make them compatible with 40 mm fans, but I actually just ordered a pair of these that I'll be testing out Friday. Seems like the reviews and price are on point. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005QRMAJG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm a really bad anxious sweater and I'm the worst in social situations. It's been the worst at school - from late high school to my last few years in college. Once I get the littlest bit overheated, I get nervous about sweating, and the viscous cycle begins.

I bought myself one of these handheld mini fans and it's been the best thing ever. People have even asked me to borrow it, and I have no shame in using it. It's actually really handy and I bring it a lot of places (school, work, vacation, camping). It helps get my mind off of the sweating and cools me down. 3 power modes, and it charges with a USB charger.

Honestly one of the biggest things for me is just giving myself extra time to get there. I travel from out of town to my college, so I listen to a podcast and enjoy the AC in my car. If I give myself some extra time to get to school, 15 minutes to chill out, cool down with my fan (lol), and get my mind off of it before class.

It's a huge mind over matter thing for me. If I don't think about it, I don't sweat. When I start to get anxious, sometimes I try to think of my senses - start to ask yourself about things you hear, see, touch, etc. That helps clear my mind a mo

Also, I wear primarily black, white, and patterns. So at least if I sweat, it's not super noticeable. I bring an extra shirt if I need to. Headbands and hats help too - I sweat a lot from my hairline area so a patterned headband helps hide it (not sure if this would work if you're a guy though haha).

It's an OxyLED Lamp I got off of Amazon. It's about $50. I love it.

Amazon US and Amazon Canada.

Edit: this is far better quality, though. It is made from a computer case fan and will likely last you longer. Amazon US or Amazon Canada

I'm a bit sweaty and I've just bought a neck fan, it really really helps!

It's got a dial to adjust the speed and power it off, it really helps when playing Civ5.

I actually high recommend this guy:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L4GLJZD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_j3UvDbG22FBPM

It’s wireless, and can blow on high for 10 hours. I can feel a good amount of air flow even when it’s 8ft away from me.

u/aaaaasdfghjkl · 4 pointsr/battlestations

I liked the looks of it when I saw it in OPs post so I looked it up myself. The reviews have a couple videos that show its light levels fairly well! Might get the lamp myself.

Nice I Have almost the same setup. I attached a usb Fan to the back of mine to cool off some of the heat coming off of the Pro.

Could you plug in a small desk fan at your work station? The extra airflow might help you out. This guy is what I'm talking about:

Usually there's a maintenance department you can contact. In some places I've been, it's called Facilities. Other places called it the Physical Plant. Look up on your school website and give them a call.

Another idea if that doesn't work or you don't hear back soon enough. Do you bring a laptop to your class? You could plug in a small USB-powered fan. I have one of these from when I was a grad student. They're not as quiet as advertised, but it might help you.

I got a Cooling pad for my Lenovo (16gb ram 4gb gpu(Radeon m275x or whatever) core i7 5500 1920x1080) and it really is nice. I use it when I'm playing fallout and other intensive games and it keeps my computer noticeably cooler than it usuall you is with out it

I'm going to purchase a dock over the summer and try to mod it and line up a 80MM fan about an inch from the air inputs so I have a nice flow of air going into the bottom of the system. I think on the dock ican also currently put in one of these https://www.amazon.com/Yoosion-Cooling-Router-Computer-Watertank/dp/B01KTG4208/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491104017&sr=8-1&keywords=40mm+fan+usb into the one side where there is vent access and you wont effect the wires.

u/Nimble_Centipeder · 3 pointsr/teslamotors

What about this fan? It’s almost an exact 4 inches by dimension. I bet this would work well.
https://www.amazon.com/Fancii-Personal-Portable-Whisper-Technology/dp/B072DSHKCH/

u/MasdevalliaLove · 2 pointsr/orchids

I get the computer fans that already have a USB attachment, then I just plug them into a cell phone charging block.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Yoosion-Cooling-Router-Computer-Watertank/dp/B01KTG4208/ref=pd_sim_147_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01KTG4208&pd_rd_r=JNFYQT4GHDM5SHBCFTZT&pd_rd_w=ANEgx&pd_rd_wg=JxyG3&psc=1&refRID=JNFYQT4GHDM5SHBCFTZT

You can get USB extension cords if the cord isn't long enough.

The processor would throttle itself, then shutdown if it gets too hot. Though if your worried invest in a laptop cooler. They aren't magical, but it should drop it down to around 70 which is safe

It's non-trivial to the point of requiring physical modification of the unit and several additional components.

I suggest either getting a battery bank that already has an inverter or get a fan that connects to USB. Heck, there are fans with batteries that charge from USB.

u/THErustyPELICAN · 1 pointr/EatCheapAndHealthy

Kimchi. No need to reheat, and if you have enough of it it'll waft to at least a 10 ft diameter. Maybe couple this with one of those USB desk fans.
