Ooooooh this should be fun! I'm a weirdo who loves organization so I'm up for the challenge! Let's see...
This one herehere looks awesome! "15 compartments can hold nail polish, compacts, eye shadows, blushes, perfume, lotion, hair accessories, and more." And it's $15 shipped with prime
[Here's] (http://www.amazon.com/SOHO-Expandable-Cylinder-Acrylic-Organizer/dp/B008FX4NTI/ref=sr_1_3?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1415739362&sr=1-3&keywords=makeup+organizer) one that would be cool for some brushes and whatnot! BUT What I use for my brushes, lip stains, and mascaras is one just like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/DecoBros-Desk-Supplies-Organizer-Caddy/dp/B00H5CVCN0/ref=sr_1_2?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1415739432&sr=1-2&keywords=desk+organizer) Which I can TOTALLY take pictures of for you if you'd be interested in that! Here it's about $10 which is what I paid for mine from Bed Bath and Beyond. It's actually super awesome and doesn't take up too much space!
Something like this here is soooo adorable and I'm actually wanting to get one for my palettes! If you like them all to match, you can easily find ones that are more versitile but this concept is great for palettes! It's $10.19 for this one!
Althoughhhhh this little holder here matches it and would be perfect for brushes!!! It's only $5.57 too!
So there's just some options I thought were cute and great for saving space! I'm sorry I didn't add up the total but i figured you could pick and choose and possibly just get an idea and look for your own designs! Like I said, I've used some of these ideas and still do so I will send you pictures of how mine are if you'd like! Sorry if I overwhelmed you and i hope you feel better soon!!!
Just some general advice, I think finding what you don't like to do is just as important as finding what you do like.
Other than that, I don't have much advice for the other areas, however I can chime in on the art if you're interested in trying that out again. I apologize for the long post and if you're not interested. Just trying to showcase some options and provide a place to start, just in case.
Art school isn't all that necessary. But it can be very helpful because it provides structure and helps network you with other students and the professors who are already in their respective industries. However, it can be a lot of work and often times doesn't leave much time for you to work on what you want, and can wear you out. On the other hand, because you are required to take foundation classes, you'll experience quite a few mediums and find what you like and what you don't like.
So I'm currently going to school for Animation, however I'm currently doing my foundation classes. And I do have a recommendation. Figure drawing is extremely difficult and takes a very long time to master.
It all starts with gesture and here are two videos featuring my anatomy for the artist teacher, Steve Michael Hampton. He uses his first and middle name interchangeably so you can find him under both. Anyway, just to share his experience, he does anatomical corrections (correcting even the slightest problems with muscles, skull structure, etc.) at the big name studios. Marvel, Lukasfilm, Blizzard, etc. He also has a book available on Amazon. And a website (figuredrawing.info).
https://youtu.be/f4353W2Xqm0
https://youtu.be/mIiqgXqjWCw
So one thing you've already realized is that drawing is hard. Especially drawing the figure. And even more so drawing the figure correctly.
However, figure drawing isn't the only way to go. Try watching guys like Jake Parker, Will Terry, Brett Bean, Brandon Green and Will Terrell. They are all fabulous illustrators and character designers. Probably most well known for their children's book illustrations. And the best part about children's book illustrations is that you can let your imagination go wild. It's all about having fun.
You might also just try drawing every day and posting your stuff everywhere. Facebook. Instagram. DeviantArt. Newgrounds. Twitter. Time lapse videos on YouTube. And then tie everything in with a link to a central blog or website. You can get a free blog through Google's BlogSpot. Doing this will build your portfolio, while also amassing a following.
And this is how you land jobs. Someone who knows you knows someone looking for an artist. And they refer you. And next thing you know, you've got a connection, do a few freelance jobs for the company, and then get picked up.
Or you can remain free lance.
Or just make money through social media (most likely YouTube) and selling prints. Check out Baylee Jae, Draw with Jazza, and Sycra on YouTube.
You might also be interested in landscape so that's an area to explore.
Last thing I want to say is that you should try shape sketching. And you mind look into keeping a small sketchbook everywhere you go.
Here's a video showing what shape sketching is.
https://youtu.be/-muf3zd80KY
As for the sketchbook, I actually just bought a passport cover wallet and some 3.5x5.5" Moleskine sketchbooks. I put the Moleskine in the passport slot. It forces me to take my sketchbook whenever I take my wallet.
Passport Wallet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GYC4KN0
Moleskine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/8883704940
Adhesive Pen Holder. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J2YB64I
Hope this doesn't overwhelm you too much. I think art is a great place for people to go when they don't have anything else in mind. It's fun, and there is no right or wrong. It's what you want it to be. Some people will love your stuff. Others will hate it. Don't worry about style. Style develops when you just draw what you like.
these bundle monster pages have been my ABSOLUTE favorite since i found them. great price for what you get. you won't run out of space as your collection grows and have to constantly upgrade. they fit a ton of different shape plates (i only bought the rectangle slot sheets though) and have so much space. you get to pick whatever standard binder you want so you can personalize more if you so choose. (i even added one of those 3 ring pencil cases so i can hold my brushes and scrapers in there....like this but from the dollar store lol) the pages are made of strong durable plastic and do NOT rip or tear with constant use and the pulling and pushing of plates. they have reinforced holes for the binder so they wont rip out with weight.
edit* (also i can fit ALL different brands of rectangle plates in there except the older born pretty plates that had a bigger white plastic border on the back of the metal rectangle plates. the new BP ones do fit now since they made the plastic smaller like the moyou london ones.)
i also have this little zippered bundle monster book for my circle plates that i have yet to fill (im almost there though lol). i've had it a couple years now and its still in great shape. i think i got it for ten bucks back then though but the price hasnt gone up much.
ive tried a decent amount of different brand organizers and these have been the best i have found so far in terms of quality and price. (and i also hated the ones like the born pretty holders that dont function if you actually fill ALL the slots. lol i wouldnt be able to actually get plates OUT once the other slots were all filled bc it was such tight space!)
$100-150: I've always wanted an Olegtron 4060 MK2 but would probably never get one myself. I probably *would* get a Boredbrain Patchulator 8000 for myself, though. This is also Volca territory, and it'd be easy to trade those up for a bigger-ticket item.
$50-100: If you're into tiny machines like I am and don't already have one, maybe you can convince your family to put a Pocket Operator in your stocking (also easy to trade up). To carry my tiny machines, I like my MeeBlip BlipCase (I haven't road-tested it or anything, but it's extremely lightweight and looks like a spy briefcase). If you're willing to tinker with code and/or electronics, the Axoloti Core is back in stock, or you could make a light theremin from the Arduino starter kit.
$0-50: Rakit has a bunch of tiny synth kits (if you're handy) and Retrokits has a bunch of useful peripherals that would make great stocking stuffers. This Vaultz pencil case is the exact size of a Volca (I've also found that it's the width of three Pocket Operators or two POs and a Monotron, with plenty of room for an iRig 2 and other peripherals). This is also mini guitar pedal territory if you're looking for some of those cheapo effects, or you could get a Monotron Delay to use as a 1/8-inch delay pedal. And you'll probably never have too many velcro ties, tag zip ties, or cables-- I've been eyeing some light-up patch cables, but there are also ones that glow in the dark...
It's not the prettiest thing in the world but I've been carrying THIS pen case for about 3 years now and I am quite happy with the product for the price.
It looks nice, though I'm not in love with the NISSTIIV embossing, it's well made, holds 3 pens and has dividers so they aren't clanking into each other. It also holds pens nice and snug but is big enough to hold larger pens either clipped to the front of the inside or with the clips down in the slots.
My main requirements I wanted was something with a little rigidity to protect from breaking the pens, holds at least 3 pens, dividers so they don't touch, and I really wasn't looking to drop $75 on a name brand pen case. Most other cases I found were either pricey, only held 2 pens, didn't have dividers, or were really floppy which only really protects them from scratches.
So for $30 I've got a semi-rigid 3 pen case that has been carried a lot and barely shows any wear after 3 years.
/u/chronos42 because I'm still waiting for us to become best friends even though I disappeared off the face of the planet for the last week! You're just awesome. Just saying.
I love how dorky and fun I am!
This lovely item!
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of who you are. <3
/u/Purebredginger - I love black but that's apparently not actually a color according to people who are not me. As for actual colors, I love purple and green.
I love this pouch thing and it's under $5!
Thanks for the contest! :)
I have a silly cat pen/pencil pouch on my $5 or less wishlist or these Pill Shaped Pens on the same wishlist. Both have free shipping! :)
Since he’s a classics major I’d recommend this pencil holder:
Caesar Pencil Holder
I got it as a birthday present last year and all my classics friends + some of my non classics friends love it
I would recommend the graphgear 1000(the silver one). All metal construction, strong pocket clip, lead hardness indicator,a 4mm lead sleeve that helps with drafting and using stencils, and its pocket safe because of the retractable lead sleeve.
Here's the link for the case
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MRYG2U1/ref=psdcmw_11601922011_t1_B01FWE0DQY
Hope I could help you!
I have a small metal pencil case that has 2 elastic straps on one side to hold it in place and came with a little zippered pouch that velcros to the other side. I also use a trigger case so it fits nice and secure in there.
Edit:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BXZ28K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VSyhybP1TBF2Y
The interior is different like I said but this thing is almost a perfect fit if you already have a case of some kind on your vita that has extra bulk from the grips.
I got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VV6GVG8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The quality seemed pretty good when I received it :)
I use one of these for not-currently-inked.
If you want something quicker on the draw, this pen case is really nice and a really good price for leather.
Goulet just started carrying this 96 pen case that looks very nice.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HQ9Y7VY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Yep, I got those and they're absolutely amazing. Hold the pen really well and doesnt come off.
Queen of office pranks right here!
Pink is the new black!
I could do this all day. PLEASE post photos when you're done with this prank!
There's one off amazon I've been using and its really nice, pretty compact. It has some room for erasers and pencil lead on one side and then room for some pencils on the other side. Here's the link
iDream365 Hard Protective EVA Carrying Case/Pouch/Holder for Executive Fountain Pen,Ballpoint Pen,Active Stylus Pen-Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRYG2U1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_NvDZDbHPJ6JCE
It's a vaultz pencil case like this one, you can find them in lots of stores. The dividers are just foamboard and the top foam is recycled from an mp3 player's packaging.
That does remind me, I'd had this case for years holding markers, and the fuzzy paper lining had started to disintegrate leaving black powder everywhere, so for long term storage I'd either tear that stuff out straight away or get one of the clear plastic versions that don't have any lining to begin with.
You might be able to find a stand like made for regular pens, vape pens or crafting supplies. I've seen wood ones on Amazon and clear plastic ones at Dollarama.
Maybe this will do the job, might be too tall though. https://www.amazon.ca/Ajax-Scientific-Drying-Capacity-Length/dp/B00EPQ4SL2/ref=sr_1_10?
or this
https://www.amazon.ca/Acrylic-Strong-Organizer-Laboratory-Exhibition/dp/B0721MCRRZ/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=test+tube+holder&qid=1555072355&s=gateway&sr=8-9keywords=test+tube+holder&qid=1555072251&s=gateway&sr=8-10
This single pen stand might be what you want too.
https://www.amazon.ca/Coideal-Container-Toothbrush-cigarette-Organizer/dp/B01KM540R6/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=pen+stand&qid=1555072442&s=gateway&sr=8-5
I got a cheap acrylic pen stand. A two pack for under nine bucks! Trust me, you're going to need the second one sooner than you think :)
https://www.amazon.com/Adir-Acrylic-Horizontal-Premium-Display/dp/B01J6DNIBO/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1483210720&sr=8-10&keywords=acrylic+pen+stand
The problem with these is that pens are hitting themselves. I prefer them being well tied up and not moving around and clashing against each other.
I personally prefer something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Royce-Leather-912-6-Triple-Black/dp/B00LW7NPCK
But usually I carry this around since I really like having a bunch of colours with me. http://www.amazon.com/Dianoo-Fountain-Roller-Leather-Holder/dp/B014H2UKN8/
A tip with the last one is to just alternate every other slot with a pen so you know they're not hitting each other and you can close it very easily.
Here it is! :)
Edit: oop looks like someone else found it too!
Dumb American here, but are the "clip-on koalas" just a bunch of things similar to these? If so, then awesome! I'd love to see a pic of you guys in that.
I got a Staedtler leather case that I think is perfect for three pens. Here is the amazon listing for some pictures.
I finally found it:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MRYG2U1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00
Cheap and useful, just the way I like it \^__\^
Idk of its just me, but I wouldn't put any pen in there. It'd be way too easy to get them all scratched up, especially my resin ones.
I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BXQZMK2/ref=sxts1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491346693&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
And this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LW7NPCK/ref=sxts2?ie=UTF8&qid=1491346693&sr=2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
I've been using a stylus stand that I got with my tablet, which seems to work well as an upright holder for mine.
Here's a couple pen stands on Amazon that you can order and try out.
LinkIdea dual-pen stand
CoIdeal pen stand
I can't say for certain whether these 2 suggestions will work, but... depending on the diameter of the pen holder's opening, it's likely to fit the Vessel.
ah, I haven't watched that one yet! My first Ghibli film was My Neighbor Totoro. While I love Totoro and Totoro plushies (this is my current pencil case), it probably isn't my favorite movie..
I mostly carry my pens in a cell-phone pocket on my cargo pants, but sometimes they go in a shirt pocket or elsewhere. I use a Nisstiv Pen Case that keeps three largish pens separated from each other and from whatever else is in the pocket. I removed the flap from mine, since it spends most of its time in a pocket that has its own flap.
I do wish I could find a similar design made of something slightly less bulky, but this does a great job of protecting my pens.
Howdy! I’ve had this Staedtler case for a few years and it looks and feels even better than the day I bought it.

Pencil Case
Pencil case to put all your school supplies. Thanks for the contest!
Well naturally you'd need [a tutu] (http://www.amazon.com/Leg-Avenue-Organza-Tutu-Neon/dp/B004282W2A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945117&sr=8-1&keywords=pink+tutu), and matching [knee high socks] (http://www.amazon.com/Large-Baseball-Softball-Athletic-All-Sport/dp/B009K7ALK8/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945225&sr=8-6&keywords=pink+knee+high+socks).
But after that, I'd go with [a tape dispenser] (http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Dispenser-Magic-Inches-C30-SHOE-H/dp/B0086ZL1E0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945343&sr=8-1&keywords=pink+office+supplies), [post-its] (http://www.amazon.com/Post--Pop-up-Notes-Dispenser-3-Inch/dp/B004JCT47U/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945343&sr=8-3&keywords=pink+office+supplies), [hole punch] (http://www.amazon.com/Swingline-3-Hole-Paper-Manual-S7099901/dp/B004OQ84N6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945343&sr=8-4&keywords=pink+office+supplies), [paper clips] (http://www.amazon.com/Officemate-Breast-Cancer-Awareness-08908/dp/B0040FFNXK/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945343&sr=8-9&keywords=pink+office+supplies), [stapler] (http://www.amazon.com/SilverHooks-Pink-Crystal-Stapler/dp/B005XE5KLM/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945385&sr=8-25&keywords=pink+office+supplies), and absolutely 1000000000% [this calculator] (http://www.amazon.com/Amico-Yellow-Keypad-Electronic-Calculator/dp/B00ARBUXOU/ref=sr_1_135?ie=UTF8&qid=1376945506&sr=8-135&keywords=pink+office+supplies).

I'm autistic. Here's the key. Work on one area at a time.
I have a monthly calendar on the wall to remind me of things and I use it.
This thing is a life saver. I have a lot of my files separated in that thing. It is very helpful.
I have a couple of these to keep my important files in. If I need to keep an important paper, I put it in a file in there.
Don't use a file cabinet. Out of sight, out of mind. Totally bad. Get a file cart. This is the one I have and its great.
I have these in my desk drawers
I have this thing on my desk to organize supplies on my desk
I have this thing on my desk to organize files

Basically I've spent a shit ton of money to keep me organized. I don't put a lot of things in cabinets because out of site, out of mind. I forget where they are if I can't see them. If they are in a drawer, I keep it organized. I straighten off my desk every other day so I don't get buried. I live by post it notes. They are my life. They are my everything. If I need to remember something, it goes on a sticky note and the sticky note goes on my computer.
As for stress and anxiety. Practice self-care. Get into therapy. You may want to consider meds. Know your limits. Yeah its good to be social but you will need your lunch to recharge. That becomes really important. Yeah you can try to go with staff two times a week but you need the recharge time.
You also need a letter from your doctor and submit it to personnel and talk to your principal. I have a good relationship with my principal right now and haven't talked to the district yet. I just told my principal that it effects my communication with others. Sometimes I have a hard time communicating what I really want to say or people may misinterpret what I say because of tone or I don't say it right. I have a hard time with eye contact. I also have slow processing so it takes a second and people take that as ignoring. I don't need any accommodations, I just need her to understand my communication difficulties and my social awkwardness. Fortunately for me, I am a SPED teacher who teaches the self-contained autism class and she thinks that will be a good connection with parents. I have asked for a 10 minute break off campus break (to smoke, she know I do) after a bad IEP and she gives it to me. But its rare that I do. If it starts to become a problem, I'll inform my union and then inform the district.
If you come up with systems and learn to be more organized, it will help with the stress. If you learn self-care it will help.
I've seen stands like this around (although I'm not sure if this particular one is large enough for fountain pens). (Edit) Or maybe this one.
The pen display was from ThinkGeek, but you can get it Amazon I believe. It comes with a small ballpoint pen, but who wants to sign those big checks with that? heh.

OK thanks, I have some prior exposure to learning the language, years ago, but that should help me a lot. My handwriting was really bad partially due to medical issues at the time -- so dealing with hiragana, katakana, and kanji was harder than it should have been.

Lihit Lab $8.45.
iDream365 Hard Case $7.96.
I use and like both of the cases above, but you could also consider using a hard eyeglass case and you might already have one or more of these around the house. The downside is these might not fit larger pens and they don't protect against scratches if you put two or more pens in them.
As mentioned already, some vape cases could work, or you could look at cigar cases.
There's lots of possibilities.
Get a lock for your door. If that isn't an option get a small lock box like this for $10-15 depending on which style/color you want. Problem solved, if she is dumb enough to complain she'll be admitting to have been stealing it the whole time.
I had the exact same problem. When apps didn't do it for me, I got this.
Lock your phone in it, put your keys somewhere hard to get to. (On days where I really needed to get moving, I'd leave the keys in my car and park the car down the street. I'm a masochist, so YMMV).
If you're concerned about trying to smash your phone while it's in the box, just pad it with some paper towels.
After a month or so, I got used to waking up with an alarm and haven't needed it since.
