When it comes to your closet, yes - those organizing bins are brilliant. BUT only as long as you don't just throw/ram things in there and leave them half out of your shelves and what not. Keep your clothes folded and neat. I'd suggest getting either black or white bins where your bedding is black/white. Avoid any other colours given that you have a lime green wall in your room. Put all of your toiletries in one of those as well instead of a hair dryer in a shelf, deodorant on your desk, etc.
Other points:
Find a better home for both the helmet and printer. Put a draping plant up there or other decorations.
Tidy up those wires and cables
If you don't want to put shelves here once the couch is out, a framed photo or poster with a nice frame would look great there! In fact, /u/frostfall010 just made a great example
OH, I got this...
DM since 1978 here.
For maps and such you need this or something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Storage-Tube-Blueprints-Expandable/dp/B01DLYJF9I/ref=sr_1_48?keywords=shipping+tubes&qid=1555674263&s=gateway&sr=8-48
Mine is pretty-much water proof but I got mine via a friend who worked at a vinyl sign making shop (he gave me some of the - usually discarded/recycled - lovely rigid threaded end tubes in which they receive rolls of vinyl). For maps and the like, both transport and long term storage, you cannot beat this sort of storage. Alternately, paper mailing tubes can suffice to keep flat things rolled/flat, but nothing beats a waterproof tube.
... next, you need to bring the game, make it easy on yourself, get a few of those 'hanging folder friendly' milk-crate-style storage crates. They will hold our favorite hobby-sized books, and much more. . . a few hanging folders can help you organize your printed campaign materials too. With some good rubber-straps to anchor it on top of this
https://www.amazon.com/Two-Wheeled-Collapsible-Handcart-Rolling-lightweight/dp/B074T8WDJV/ref=sr_1_59_sspa?keywords=shipping+tubes&qid=1555674263&s=gateway&sr=8-59-spons&psc=1
which can be used to store all your minis and such. With this on hand you can bring the game anywhere.
My desk setup is just a large, deep desk and my chair is made by Osborne ergonomics, it was made to measure, a guy came round and took a tape measure out.
But I don't use it anymore as my couch setup is just so damn comfortable for working and for gaming.
I have my monster pc on a sideboard in the living room. My seat is a two seater recliner which is a decent height off the ground and I have the back against the wall for when I want to rest my head, I also use two bed pillows. One on it's side and one sitting straight on top of that one, it's really comfortable this way and I can sit for multiple hours.
I can sit upright when typing and recline when I feel like it, especially when gaming.
To my right hand side I have a low stand which has a roccat sova mk Lapboard, I reach over to grab it etc, I also keep my controllers there.
The Lapboard is the best out of all the ones I've tried and feels perfectly comfortable and balanced when on your lap.
In front of that I have a thin table which holds cups and remotes etc.
My monitor is on a wheeled pedestal stand, I have it at just the right height for sitting up but also good for reclining, I have a soundbar on its shelf.
This is the stand I use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074TB5MG5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LVJTDbP271QFK
Works a treat, I cut the remaining pole off as I have it quite low, I also recommend if you go the couch and monitor route to make a cover for protection. I ordered one off amazon for standard aspect 52", cut the height in half and used industrial strength double sided tape to tidy the edges up and inserted a cut piece of card with quality microfibre to the inside.
Honestly, this is more comfortable than any desk and chair combination I've ever tried, even the most expensive, fully ergonomic ones.
Everyones back problems and pain are different. I'd recommend getting the recliner first if you decide to go that route (if possible goto a store to sit in them), then if that's comfortable going from there with the rest of the setup.
Edit:
I also, always sit on the right hand side, partly because that's where I keep everything but mainly because my problem is to do with my L5 disc, sitting to my right is much more conformable, my couch has large padded arms that I can lean into.
I am in a one-bedroom apartment, and my sewing space is also our dining room! I'm so jealous of people with a dedicated craft room, sigh.
I bought a 2x4 Kallax unit from Ikea and put the wheels on it. Two of the eight compartments have small drawers for holding pins, my rotary cutter, zippers and other notions (currently sorted into labeled ziploc bags), and all the other small bits and bobs. The other compartments have the felty-cardboard bins to hold fabric, patterns (in comic book boards/bags), and the bigger items. I have a nail driven into the right side to hold rulers, and my craft books are lined up across the top, as well as the plastic organizers that hold my thread and embroidery floss. This is an Instagram post that shows it a bit better. Parked next to it I have an organizer cart to hold WIP's. (The link goes to a rainbow one, but mine is black, to match the Kallax unit I chose.)
My most frequently reached for items (scissors, marking pencils/pens, seam ripper) are in a coffee cup on the top of the unit, along with a container for holding waste like snipped threads, trimmed fabric scraps, etc. (It was a mason jar, now it's a pig-shaped container that used to hold lychee jelly snacks.) I also have a little box that usable scraps go in as they get cut.
I love organizing products (The Container Store is basically heaven to me), but really the big thing is having a space for everything -- and remembering to put things back into their place when you're done using them. Unfortunately, there's no magic product or trick to make that last part easier. I often have stuff scattered around when I'm actively sewing, and I have thought about making a little organizer like this one or this one, but haven't gotten around to it. I do my best to put fabric away once I'm done cutting, and sort out trash and usable scraps immediately and dump them in the proper places. I've also gotten in the habit of setting my small scissors and seam ripper on top of my sewing machine while working so I know where they are and I don't have to hunt for them under other things.
I basically let myself make a mess while actively sewing, but make myself tidy up at the end of the day so we can have our dining table back. I'm honestly not sure if I would have that discipline if I could close the door on it at the end of the day, though...
You're more than welcome, I'm glad to help!
I totally understand your position regarding the K63. As I said, if you already have a good pair of keyboard and mouse, that device isn't worth the investment. I only mentioned it because I thought you were more interested in a true lapboard rather than a "lap desk".
I actually purchased a couple of lap desks in the past, but with my laptop in mind: this one and this one.
The second one is really good for laptops when you're lying in bed or on the couch, but I wouldn't recommend it for kb/m use. As for the first option, it works much better as an actual desk replacement, and there's a larger sized version that could be perfect for you, depending on your intended use.
Are you planning on using that desk while sitting on the couch, like Paul does on the video I linked? Then I can vouch for it. If you're thinking about using it while lying down, however, that desk is still too "tall" and uncomfortable to use, even at its lowest height setting.
The one you linked also looks like a nice option, but I'm concerned about those legs - they look rather flimsy. If you're going to support it on a solid base, like a coffee table, it probably won't be an issue. But if you're actually balancing the table on the sofa's cushions, then I'd suggest going for something a little more robust.
It really shouldn't fall over. Everybody I know has it normally and I have never heard of putting it on its side, but I imagine it would raise temps a bit. If you put it on the dresser you should have less issues with dust which will keep temps lower and you won't have to clean it as often. This also goes with putting it on top of the desk. If the first two aren't options then just put it under the desk but try to not have it directly on the ground. Something like this could help with that and make it easy to move around. I wish I had one of those haha I might just have to order one now that I think about it.
>and what do you do with all that stuff?
Folding hand truck and budgie cords or ratchet straps should be able to be stowed. Put the hand truck on the back of the seat with the bungee cords, or lean the folded package on the back of your tower.

I personally look for a desk to hold two 27 inch monitors and a long mouse pad. I don’t really like the keyboard trays cause I move my hand around with my mouse and wouldn’t want it to be on a different level than my keyboard (if that makes sense).
I like a basic desk. No shelves/storage stuff. I have tried those before and it was a mess. One thing I invested in so I wouldn’t have my desk holding my PC was a PC caddy. Cost around $10. Incredibly helpful so you have maximum desk space. I got mine off Amazon. Also I sit on my legs A LOT and personally hate sitting “normal” when gaming. So I got a little foot hammock so I can have my feet off the ground and stretched out and comfortable.
Here are the things I mentioned in my post:
Desk: Zinus Modern Studio Collection Soho Desk / Table / Computer Table https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073R1DJYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_nfXRaU1wwmQHS
Foot hammock by Basic support - Black - Ergonomic adjustable feet rest for a comfortable utility foot stool under your office desk that you can fold-a-way https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NGYUAD9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_l3M0Ab3CDRKA8

There's a couple of things off the top of my head, but of course I don't know your budget or her taste. There is a drawer organizer for storage, StitchyBox sends a box of stitching supplies and fun stuff. If she like Heaven and Earth designs they have similar boxes but you have to know her preferences. That's all I can think of at the moment!
I ordered a Rock-N-Roller cart after I had to carry my drums two blocks for a gig.
It’s the best thing I’ve done. I can fit my whole kit (4 piece) with a big SKB hardware case and load in with one trip. And when it’s folded down it takes up very little space.
Saved time and my back.
There’s different sizes. Just find what you think would work best for your needs.
Think about that for a second.
Your PSU pulls air from the bottom, but it sits on the floor.
Now I'm just a big nut for air flow and cooling efficiency, but if you care about it as much as I do get this
When I got mine I just ripped the wheels out and put it under my tower. It gives about an inch of clearance from the ground which just makes me feel better about airflow.
I'm so excited for you all as well! I've reached the weird final detail stages as I'm currently gluing a plate to a candle holder to make a tall "cake stand" for our pie topper dinosaurs to go on the dessert table. I need to make one final ribbon curtain as I weirdly spazzed and thought I had already made it (nope). Need to pack all the stuff that is currently taking up the dining table (this rolling cart thing is a godsend when moving items in bins). FH and I are going on an adventure day on Tuesday to get our marriage license, a massage, and try out a float tank. Have such an awesome time at your shindigs, everyone!
Yup, This is like the one I use for my 65 inch Sony X930E. i see the one you linked says up to a 55 inch but I'd just check the VESA pattern and weight limit and go from there. The one I use has the double steel tubes and is rated up to 100 pounds. I don't have mine behind a shelf/cabinet though just freestanding with the wheels locked down. Works great👍.
Not necessarily the same as a handtruck but close to it - http://www.amazon.com/Magna-Cart-Flatform-Wheeled-Truck/dp/B002TITK8O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409066040&sr=8-1&keywords=flatbed+cart
I bought this for my mom and it is light enough for her, very compact, and easy to use. Easily folds up into a car trunk and durable as well.
I just moved one of my kid's PC's to a carpeted floor to make room for a second monitor on his desk. I used one of these stands for $11 to keep it up a bit as the case is a big Fractal Design R5 and has a fan and filters on the bottom. Been working well but still need to be cautious rolling it as it is a big case. If your case does not have bottom airflow it is probably not necessary, but does help with accessing the back panel.
If you have the S be very careful with those controllers as many report they are not as durable as the controllers from the CV1. Some find a small mat in the center of their playspace helps keep them from venturing to far.
This, it's to keep the case off my carpet. The PSU fan feeds out the bottom.
I love that it's called a "cpu stand." haha.
Ideally you'll want at least 2-3 inches of clearance off the ground for the sake of your PSU and 4-6 for every other side that has any sort of air flow just to make sure the air can travel properly. What I did was got a CPU stand like this one and put a plastic mat under it (like the kind you use for wheeled office chairs) to ease getting it out from under my desk for periodic cleaning/dusting.
I bought this thing to put on my desk, allowing me to stand when I want to. It's wonderful. I love it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RQ3JQMM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for the input! I've been trying to figure out how to make it laptop-compatible. Do you think something like this would work or would it just fall on your face? And would you mind sharing more on which one you got, or at least what brand?
Would something like this do the job well? I believe we used this same brand back when I was in marching band when we had to transport the subwoofer and monitor to and from the field and it held up pretty well considering how much we put the cart through.
Last school year, I bought this crate to take papers to grade to and from school: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007CDOXO2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It has never failed me. It is really nice and high quality, the pockets are great for storing extra stuff which I imagine elementary school teachers have a lot of supplies they carry often.
Good point on the shoulder strap though I fear for your collarbones.
Gahh, I'd have bought a handful of those small vertical wooden chiptrays if they weren't charging $40 for S&H.
I have a light-weight folding dolly/hand-truck similar to this (mine has larger wheels which makes it easier to go over curbs etc). I then either put one or two(!) 31 gallon totes of games and chip-trays/chip-cases etc atop it (the largest size that fits easily in a back seat or in my car boot), or just a single loose stack of a couple games with a chip-case and trays on it. Either way the whole stack even with the 1,000-count chipset and games, or all three 300-count chipsets plus games etc, is easy to move around.
What cons do you have coming up? Daniel has been talking of making another run up there and I've been mumbling incoherently in response. (I've currently hit a wall with '20, and am of the puritanical character that actually going off and playing things rather than futilely pounding my head in the sand is a tougher sell)
I bought two of these when I built my new rig last month. I love the shit out of them.
I was in bed for the first two weeks and essentially housebound for 2-3 more. I did LOTS of PT in advance and thus I’m recovering ahead of schedule. And that means I’m finally now clear to walk as much as I can tolerate, which is about a mile a day of total steps. I can sit maybe 1.5h without too much pain on a good day. And I still live with ice packs multiple times a day and a heating pad for the spasming muscles in the rest of my leg and core.
Something like this was key https://www.amazon.com/Executive-Office-Solutions-Mount-Notebook-Macbook-Light-Sitting-Black/dp/B00RQ3JQMM/
Also puzzles, audiobooks, a laptop, and http://thescientificartist.blogspot.com/2018/04/bed-bound-and-bored-or-perfect-plein.html

Something like this is even better, and will save you from trying to keep it on an angle while pulling.
I couldn't find any reference to this being from Ikea, but I did find a couple that look super similar if not the same on amazon.
I realize you said your wall space was tight but just in case this helps you or others, I ordered this from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GRMG2FM and have been happy with it. My regular laser printer goes on the bottom shelf, printer paper and some other 3d printing accessories on the middle shelf and the ender 3 pro on top.
AHHHHH! Get that tower off the carpet and let it breathe. You don't have to try and put it on the desk or anything, but set it on a piece of wood that's big enough, or get a cart for it.
As far as carts go, I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SY-ACC65029-Castors-Plastic-Adjustable/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396474720&sr=8-1&keywords=syba+cart
It does it's job well, and it's adjustable, so if circumstances change in the future, you can re-use it.
It's important to raise the tower up off of the floor a little bit, so the power supply fan can continue to draw air in from the outside of the case, to keep if from heating/burning up.
Beautiful! you should get a stand like this one: Econo Mobile CPU Stand
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E69W3U/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Most of the students in my program have these! I have one as well and I love it; it's become my child at this point.

If you absolutely must have wheels, you can grab a tower caddy like this: https://www.amazon.com/IOCrest-Adjustable-Foldable-Flexible-SY-ACC65029/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_229_lp_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8DQ4N4JX0RCB5QRBQTHN
If you absolutely need to elevate it, your best bet might be to get a busted old PC and repurpose the case.
VIVO Black Rolling TV Cart for 32 to 65 inch LCD LED Plasma Flat Panel Screen | Mobile Stand with Wheels (STAND-TV03E) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TFXO4Q4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_BTWnDbJHC7FSX
I have been using this stand that I purchased off of amazon for the last year. I was really impressed with the fit and finish during assembly. I have a 60" mounted to it and have nothing but good things to say about it. The convenience of being able to move it around to accommodate the optimal viewing angle from the living room, dining room and kitchen is so nice. I actually am disappointed now if I am somewhere where I don't have a perfect straight on view of the TV. The internal cable routing keeps everything on the ground and mostly out of sight, even on the back. Also, the wheels are very impressive. They appear to be too small and hard, but I have a very deep pile, shag rug and they roll across, on and off of it with ease. My only regret is I noticed they are now selling it in white, which would match better with my decor than the black one I currently have.
Table tote easily 2nd best imho. You should try out some version of this kind of stand:
https://www.amazon.com/Executive-Office-Solutions-Mount-Notebook-Macbook-Light-Sitting-Black/dp/B00RQ3JQMM/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1497681725&sr=8-7&keywords=laptop+stand
Also, a lift like this works too: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RQ3JQMM?psc=1
I use one at work like this currently. I can stand, or sit for the day, depending on what I feel like.
...I'm glad he can't see this right now.
I think one of these would be more dignified.
I also highly recommend this stand - [VIVO TV STAND](VIVO Black Rolling TV Cart for 32... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TFXO4Q4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)
I toggle it between my treadmill and floor workouts and it is fantastic. It has a little tray to hold your remotes and phone.
I keep it on my carpet, but I use this to keep it elevated. I'd recommend it, works incredibly well
Good shout. I did see this though:

What do you think? :)
I bought a mobile stand that's working out pretty well. That being said it does tend to tip just a bit if you push at the top of the case.
Not even that though. It's a mechanical switch that follows ordinary specifications, meaning the switch is designed as a module that can be removed and replaced with no soldering required - mechanical keys are primarily not soldered on to make it easy for companies where they don't have to separate production lines for each mechanical key variant you sell - just different switches that you pop in.
They only cost a dollar, and if you're not certain whether it's the switch, or the board underneath, you can always swap it with a working one. Some motherboards come with the tool for grabbing the keycaps themselves, but you can also buy them for $5.
EDIT: Also, 90% certain that he's using a HyperX Alloy model, which are like $80 to $140.
I use this to not only lift it from the ground but also give my PC the ability to be moved around easily
Perfect solution if you dont mind spending <$20 Mobile Desktop Tower Computer Floor Stand Rolling Caster Wheels and Adjustable Width from 6 to 10 Inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_pNDODbW8TKE3G
Or
You can put it on your desk if you have space
Amazon Link It is an awesome stand. I can move the TV from one room to the other. Only need 1 tv now ;)
lol lucky I found it! Bought this almost 5 years ago.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006V9AUMC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Theres things like this and this that don't take up much room and allow for it to be moved easily and keep it off the floor.
My next purchase was going to be one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003AYLP9S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494373162&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=rock+roller+cart&dpPl=1&dpID=31I557RZTqL&ref=plSrch
Should be able to fit my two subs and all 4 tops, cable boxes, and flight cases when strapped down.
Switch pullers are like $4, or many similar pieces of metal would work. You could do it with a small screwdriver if you'e a bit creative, even. One side at a time. If you have two you're all set.
No decent spot to mount, wife doesn't want in area where it would be watched. Only watch like 1x per week.
Could imagine putting on a tv stand, but need somewhere to stash that... I realize I have a ton of requirements, that's why the projector was attractive

It may be a hassle with that carpet though.
With a shiny case like this, on the ground, buy something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Syba-SY-ACC65029-Castors-Plastic-Adjustable/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=pd_aw_lpo_229_bs_lp_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HY1Z218QD17GMTE0NRBN
Thank me later!
I use one of these on my carpet:
I love it.
The TV stand is here on amazon. Little pricey but saves you drilling into the wall. Hope this helps.
I use one of these for the PC in my carpeted living room. Works great.
Not the desk, I am saying you should put your PC on books on the carpet as a temporary solution. If you want you can but a PC stand; something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E69W3U/ref=s9_simh_hd_bw_b4U7o_p229_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=XCR6PSEM4GMD8803NMZW&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=2223060642&pf_rd_i=1069116
to drop off orders at the customer? i use this and highly recommend it i keep it in my trunk and it folds/unfolds easy.
I use this behemoth. I believe it's made for scrapbook paper but it's perfect for next to my vanity.
My suggestion would be to get one of those stand-up dolly's for moving boxes. Something like this. Relatively cheap and it even folds up to fit in a car. Not being from Sweden though, I'm not sure what Amazon's shipping policy and speed are, so you may have to find one locally. Then you just get some bungee cords to wrap around the computer tower so it doesn't slide off and you're set. Otherwise, if you have a large enough rolling suitcase/luggage bag, you could potentially put the computer in that and wheel it around.
I got one of these to solve that problem:
http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SY-ACC65029-Castors-Plastic-Adjustable/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1371724718&sr=1-1&keywords=Syba+SY-ACC65029
Works great!
I used to use a canvas tote bag, too (Land's End) and it was good before I had a laptop except for on the days when I was taking home a bunch of math journals or something. But even just a laptop in there made it pretty heavy on one shoulder.
Some of my coworkers also have this kind of thing for days when they have to take home LOTS of work (like during report-card-writing time). Depends how you're getting to/from work, though. That could be annoying on a bus.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006V9AUMC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01
It's metal and sturdy. It also makes your computer look like it's levitating. Works great with the Fractal Design R5, but that's exactly as wide as it will get.
This. I use it to keep the computer off the carpet and allow the psu fan to function properly.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003BYRO7O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Pretty generic.
I bought this stand from Amazon for my server which is housed in a Fractal Design Define XL.
Stand works well, and includes casters if you want to move it around your desk (if necessary).
Most teachers I know use rolling carts if they don't have a classroom. Something like this might be more function-able.
If you're set on a backback, I found these:
Option 1
Option 2
https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Removing-keyboard/dp/B075CZCTXM/ref=ice_ac_b_dpb?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1520128605&sr=1-2&keywords=switch+puller
How about something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/Removal-Switches-Swappable-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B071WRWNXL/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1520128605&sr=1-3&keywords=switch+puller
I have this one on the left that came with one of my boards. There are other specialized versions from retailers. I googled switch puller for it. It basically pinches the switch and to unclip it from the plate.
One of these- https://www.amazon.com/Office-Depot-Mobile-Folding-16in-H/dp/B00DB8O26Q/ref=pd_sbs_229_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00DB8O26Q&pd_rd_r=E7972N798VKEM7GWFPGK&pd_rd_w=VeIS7&pd_rd_wg=sP8FQ&psc=1&refRID=E7972N798VKEM7GWFPGK Then buy some foam from your local fabric store, some elmers glue, and some foam boards- https://www.amazon.com/Pacon-Board-Inches-16-Inch-Sheets/dp/B002NM94IC/ref=sr_1_1?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1501699428&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=foam+board&psc=1 You cut the foam to make your tray compartments, then glue the boards to the bottom of the foam, and you have some pretty darn sturdy customisable foam trays in a very transportable cart. I used to carry all my Hordes stuff in one(very large army, well, for Hordes). And you can always add boxes onto the top of the rolling cart and strap them on. It's cheap, sturdy, and customisable. Just not very pretty :)
My PC sits in the (wood) floor. Should I get something like this for it?
Like this?
Why don't you get something like this?
It won't be hard with a keyboard support similar to this.
This nice
PCCPU StandPersonally, I have found a lot more use from the Magna Cart Flatform (or a similar product).
It is really sturdy and can carry a lot of weight, and you can stack boxes or bags on it. More than anything, I like the fact that it folds up flat so is easy to stow away.
I use 2 of these (Fractal R5 case is huge and weighs 35 lbs) and think it's pretty convenient. It gives it enough ventilation and mobility, but dust is still a bit of a problem. If my desk was bigger and not made of glass,I would definitely put it on the table
Pretty much exactly my setup, but the Volcano on the left next to the window. Very nice, but you need to get a computer stand and put that shit on the floor. Too much desk space taken up, but you don't want it to sit directly on the floor either. It's a tricky situation. Then you need a second monitor and a dual monitor stand to be a real badass. Desk space is essential.
I have something like this.
I've been looking into something like this recently- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BYRO7O
There's a lot of options, just gotta find one that's sturdy and fits your needs.
It looks like something similar to this : http://www.amazon.ca/IO-Crest-Computer-Caster-SY-ACC65057/dp/B006V9AUMC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1413435907&sr=8-2&keywords=cpu+stand
Why don't you get something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/Syba-Desktop-Computer-Adjustable-SY-ACC65057/dp/B006V9AUMC
Something like this?
this
or this
or maybe you like this one more
and this
My fault for not being specific, it is under my desk at the moment, it is around 65cm tall and has another 10 to play with, need to keep it under my desk as there is no room next to it.
I need something like this ideally
https://www.amazon.com/IOCrest-Adjustable-Foldable-Flexible-SY-ACC65029/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=sr_1_4?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1506363749&sr=1-4&keywords=pc+stand
But one that fit my computer.
This is the one I ordered: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003BYRO7O
I like it since it has room at the bottom for the rear mounted fans to get air.
If you have a big enough vehicle to carry it get a full sized folding dolly/hand truck with larger (preferably inflatable) wheels.
I have one of the smaller versions that folds up flat but the wheels are small and hard plastic that sends all the shocks from brick sidewalks or rocky surfaces straight up through my stack of gear when I'm dragging it in and makes it much easier for things to get bounced off compared to a more traditional full size dolly.
I can't fit a full size dolly in my car with my full rig so the flat pack works well enough but it can be precarious loading in across different surfaces with those smaller casters.
> I rolled in with a literal suitcase full of CFR 19 and HTS codes.
Anyone that doesn't is not serious. I walked in with my HTS in Catalog Display Rack. Resting on top of a rolling handcart which contained the rest of the reference materials.
I have a of few of these rolling organizers that have worked well for me.
I legit JUST bought one of these last week off Amazon so I can keep my desktop off my carpet floor... Still called a CPU Stand too! Works great...
Item on amazon
I've had it for so long I'm surprised I found a link but here it is!
I really like this one, has a keycap puller on the other side too. The little logo plate on the side fell of after a week but that doesn't affect anything. Keycap Puller Stainless Steel Key Keycap Removal Tool Keycaps Remover for Mechanical Keyboard for Removing Fixing keyboard tools https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075CZCTXM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jFjwDbFETSN42
I use this floor stand for the TV with this monitor stand mounted on top of it.
One option to deal with the TV is to use a cart that can be wheeled into another room or closet when not in use. It makes the room a lot more flexible (and attractive). They can be had for under $100 on amazon.
(note: I don't have that one, so I can't speak to the quality, but reviews seem positive)
as long as the board is hot-swappable, you can use a knife to carefully pry up the switches or get one of these.
What's an innovative way to keep my midtower ATX off of the floor? I need to move my computer underneath my desk to save space, but I want to keep it slightly off the floor to avoid it getting too dusty. Since it's a carpeted floor, I don't have need for a wheeled caddy. Also, it's not like I need to move the computer.
Maybe a small table would work? I also have a battery backup and subwoofer that I wouldn't mind better managing. Really just want a couple of inches off the floor. The tower is 20 inches tall and the space underneath the desk is 30 inches.
Yeah of course. I use this PC stand. It's nothing special but it works.
Not sure this is what you are looking for. But, it will "stand it on the floor."
Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TFXO4Q4/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_9f.MDbNB3NT56
There are several different models to choose from.
All of that said, I think something like this might work better for you - no worry about weight, metro racks can hold plenty, and it's considerably cheaper. Try searching for printer car, microwave cart, etc.
There are folding chairs provided.
I recommend a foldable rolling cart for your tower:
Magna Cart Flatform 300 lb Capacity Four Wheel Folding Platform Truck https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TITK8O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_UYE7BbG9YQHMZ
This is what some of our guys use.
Be aware that the load-in process this year is.... not ideal. New security measures and just the layout of the venue mean it's just gonna be kinda awkward, particularly if you have a large tower.

These things
Or just get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003BYRO7O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I picked up this hand cart last year, made a world of difference. Folds flat in my truck, and moves a whole lotta water packs.

This is my go-to when I pack the car:

I've been using this for months. Keeps it way off the ground for plenty of space below.

I'd recommend a TV cart. I had one of these in front of my treadmill until my treadmill broke.

This was a serious problem for me as well, but I've since solved it by using this. It makes any table or desk into a standing desk, and can also be used as a low table so I can sit on the bed or on the floor.
pillows + e-tables (kinda like this) are my go-to, it's easier on the back than sitting/standing but don't expect to stay there indefinitely, after some hours you'll start to feel uncomfortable

Cheaper and no shipping (for prime members).
I'll be using a cooler master silencio 352 matx case. Will I need 2 of these stands or can I get by with 1? https://www.amazon.com/IOCrest-Adjustable-Foldable-Flexible-SY-ACC65029/dp/B003BYRO7O/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Only one review stated that it fitted a cooler master n200 matx, but IDK if he was referring to 1 or 2 stands.
