Great work! I’d suggest the NoseFrida Snot Sucker w/ Saline - Baby Nasal Aspirator NoseFrida The Snotsucker with 10 Extra Hygiene Filters and All-Natural Saline Nasal Spray by Frida Baby https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N093BYV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jMlVDbJTGD4ZB. Also, the carrier you got Infanito or whatever the brand was...it’s get what you pay for. There are much more durable ones that I wish I had gotten. If you think you will hardly use it, the cheaper one is fine but I’d suggest putting a more expensive one with better support on your registry. Ergo baby is popular. Congrats and good luck with you LO!

u/wishicouldsaymore · 1 pointr/opiates

Yes. They are close enough in potency where the math will be the same. The citrate will be about 15-20%% less potent per dose, but I wouldn't fuck with the numbers when you're dealing with something as strong as this stuff, especially when it's your first time.

To make the solution, just buy the 88ml bottles of the cheapest store brand strictly saline nasal spray you can find. You should then also get your hands on a bottle of NeliMed NasoGel Dry Nose Spray. It can be found at your local chain pharmacy as well. Dump the stuff in the NasoGel bottle, clean it out, and pour your solution into it. It's a much more consistent spray than you'll get out of the cheap saline bottle as it's metered to .15ml per spray.

Hey mate, you don’t know me but I promise this is exactly what you want. There is no equal.

Afrin 12 Hour Pump Mist, Original, 0.5 Ounce (15mL)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019DL5KAG/

Rinse it out, twice. Also, each spray is 0.1mL so figure out your ideal NEP dose and remember to put 1mg of table salt per mL of water (helps keep it stable long-term, germ free).

If you aren’t buying from Amazon make sure you aren’t ordering the 30mL ones that have same color scheme. Those are unmetered and not what you want.

If it's anything like what I am going though she will be worlds better but the sinus infections will still be an occasional (once or twice a year) issue. The huge difference is now she'll know for sure if her nose is stuffy it's an infection and not allergies. That makes a world of difference in how you care for your self.

My personal recommendation for treating sinus infections is to remember that water is your friend. It breaks up the mucus that gets stuck up there and prevents infections. My go to tools are (in no particular order) Mucinex, sinus rinses with a bit of Alkalol Nasal Wash, long hot showers, humidifiers, and sinus buster. All of these make it hard for anything that is growing up there to stay up there but none of these are one shot fixes. My last resort is antibiotics. I've gotten several bad sinus infections but it's been years since I've resorted to antibiotics.

If they are still a far to frequent issue she should go to an ENT and get a CT scan to see if she has a structural problem s/he can fix. In a way she is lucky if she does. It means that her sinus infection issues can be solved with simple surgery. However she'll be even luckier if after the shots she has no infections issues at all.

Edit: I forgot to add that the major point of all those tools are to stop a sinus infection before it gets bad. A stuffy nose today means an infection in a few days unless you clean it out before hand

> I got the device from my local pharmacy, but I found it can be bought online. Its the Neilmed Cordless Pulsating Nasal Wash

Hmmm... lemme check here, the link that you're clicking is "http://a.co/8Dq625Z," but it takes you to Amazon...

Anyway, here's the clean, non re-direct, non-referral link: https://www.amazon.com/NeilMed-7-05929E-11-Sinugator-Nasal/dp/B00CQ7IBFG

Oh, and I'm pretty sure this is all a pitch to sell the nose-hose.

u/piderman1 · 3 pointsr/Sasquatch

What really helps me with the dust is a Neti Pot every morning and evening (if you're in the state of mind that allows). Better yet, a Navage which works a ton better and is a lot more sanitary to use which is something your camp neighbors will appreciate.

Basically the dust is clogging your sinuses and ya need to wash it out.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Asthma

Talk to your doc. Use warm mist humidifiers at home/office. Keep a scarf over your nose, mouth, and ears when you are outside in the cold- trust me, it helps.

You can also try a nebulizer with just saline (which can help a bit!)

u/RobotVersionOfMe · 1 pointr/Showerthoughts

You could fill this thing with mouth wash

Edit: hopefully this doesn’t start the next cinnamon tide pod challenge

u/Spongi · 1 pointr/TwoXChromosomes

I'm ready for it not to be so hot I feel like I'm going to die of heat exhaustion when going outside :-D

>Woke up congested and now I may or may not be developing a sinus headache.

What you want is this. It's a water pik with a special nasal irrigator tip. You load it with warm water, add a little salt (home made saline), shove the tip in your nose and let it run up your sinus then out the other side. Get's all the dust, dirt, pollen, cat hair, bug poop and loosens up dried, crusty snot. The sheer amount of gunk that will come out will amaze you and you'll be able to breath so much better.

Takes about 2-3 minutes, then you'll spend a minute blowing your nose to get the excess moisture/snot out and then you're good to go. I know some people use neti pots, but they don't work half as good as this setup.

u/DaedalusThePolished · 1 pointr/RandomActsOfPolish

look into alkalol if you want to super charge your neti pot. use a couple of tablespoons in the mix, i find it really helps when the congestion is super bad

u/Vincere31 · 2 pointsr/Candida

Try this nasal rinse, it’s been a true life saver for me.

With this group, I'm amazed we all don't need new medication. Sorry to hear about the allergies. They suck. I have seasonal allergies. Unfortunately they are for all of the seasons. If you ever want to try something "natural" check out Rootology. I am a huge skeptic when it comes to natural remedies, but it has worked great for me.

u/joughsef · 1 pointr/Denver

This. You can even buy saline sprays that work like regular nasal spray. Every once in awhile squirt it into each nasal passage and keep them hydrated. Something like this would work and is available cheaper as a generic at a walgreens or the like.

u/Keysss · 1 pointr/Dentistry

I will leave this here. Definitely worth a try :)

u/JBgreen · 1 pointr/cocaine

They sell empty nasal spray bottles on Amazon, some really nice glass ones like this one : Amber Glass Travel-Sized 20ml EMPTY Nasal Sprayers for Colloidal Silver and Saline Applications, 2-Pack

They might also have them in stores like Walgreens or CVS, also they have cheaper plastic ones on Amazon.

u/Level9TraumaCenter · 2 pointsr/atheism

That's the best way I've ever heard it explained.

I get a kick out of some products trying to jump on the homeopathic bandwagon, like Sinol. Some of these decongestants contain "homeopathic" levels of capsaicin- diluted 1:1000 or more- and they actually work. But they don't work because of vibrational energies imparted on water or some other nonsense- they work because capsaicin is remarkably potent stuff, even when diluted 1,000 fold.

u/abductedabdul · 2 pointsr/powerlifting

I like these

I've used these before But i feel like the bottled torks die too quickly once you open them. And i like being able to throw the capsules lol

u/ISecretlyHateYou · 5 pointsr/LivestreamFail

Pretty sure that's just a Poy-Sian Menthol Inhaler.

u/pr-air · 1 pointr/EDC

I hate that the every day allergy pill regimen doesn't work for me. Especially in the Fall when they are no mercy. Generic Ztec-D when needed (can't abuse that decongestant) and sinus rinse once to twice daily has been the most helpful. Those NeilMed squeeze bottles have been the best investment I've ever made as an allergy sufferer. Using it with Alkalol on occasion is incredible.

u/AdeptApostate · 3 pointsr/CFB

I know, only time of the year I see commercials. Did you see the one for this thing? Looks like some sort of simulated waterboarding machine.

u/Jos3ph · 1 pointr/Austin

Using this nasal rinse every morning helps me quite a bit

u/WiderstandATCS · 2 pointsr/GripTraining

It works to wake up you CNS by arousing consciousness because the release of ammonia gas irritates the membranes of the nose and lungs, and thereby triggers an inhalation reflex. This reflex alters the pattern of breathing, resulting in improved respiratory flow rates and alertness.

You should get some a try it.

u/SuperFancyMerman · 2 pointsr/piercing

This is the one you want. There is one that has copper in and there used to be a hypertonic one but this one is just salt and water. There is nitrogen but that's only the propellant and it's inert.

u/DeadPrez · 27 pointsr/BetterEveryLoop

You need a snotsucker. It has a filter so that the snot does not make it into your mouth.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N093BYV/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_BaCmDbG0K8JD4

I have used it on both my kiddos.

u/BlastoIO · 2 pointsr/Allergies

Try Neilmed Sinus Rinse. I have to use it 4x per day.

Cheapest at Costco from what I've found. Amazon has it for a bit more.

u/redhelpful · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Smelling salts. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J9PVPW4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kcO4xbYET0YAB

Screw all these other "life hacks" and non-answers. This works instantly.

u/ernieball · 5 pointsr/BabyBumps

We were given one in the hospital (one of the few things we were given, in fact) and I had a few at home. For us, having a bulb or some sort of snot sucker in every main baby room of our house (our room, the living room, the nursery - plus the diaper bag) was really helpful because - so much snot, and you can't always pop up and look for the thing when you need it right now. I can't say enough good things about the NoseFrida (or the Nasakleen for a cheaper option that's just as good, if not better because of the cushy nose part). It's nasty as hell in theory but... my son was sick. A LOT. Once he started daycare. And when your 3 month old cannot breathe... it really doesn't even register how nasty it is to be sucking the snot out of their head. You just do it.

Tip - ALWAYS use Saline spray before you do a maintenance bulb or nosefrida. It's more comfortable for baby and it helps break the stuff up before you go in so you clear more with less effort. Obvs if it's an emergency suction you just go for it, saline be damned, but for general snot clearage the saline is your BFF.

u/skunkwaffle · 1 pointr/Keratoconus

I don't know what shipping is like where you're going, but I usually order my saline on Amazon. If you can get a delivery there you should be good to go.

Also, I always fly with my contacts. It's really not bad taking them out and putting them back in later. I wouldn't try during really bad turbulence, but otherwise it's not really all that difficult.

u/rvncto · 3 pointsr/SFGiants

damn, no one sent me home from work, and i needed to be there.

my sinus infection was in full bloom. smelled bad i think.

then i got this thing

its amazing.

u/bettorworse · 2 pointsr/traderjoes

Not from TJs, but get yourself one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Navage-Nasal-Irrigation-Starter-Bundle/dp/B01787L5MO

A high-tech Neti pot. The worst part of a cold is the stuffed up nose. This cleans it out, without all the mess of a Neti pot.

Check for prices on Google. I got mine for a lot less than $100.

Also, if you do buy one, look up youtube videos on how to use your own salt instead buying their expensive salt pods.

I looked it up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9oipTY6lvA

Well I really need this under tank heater for my new tank of rescues coming

more specifically i need it in this larger size but that goes over 50

or more of this because my allergies are terrible and i went through all the bottles i had

or my dogs could use more of this but I don't really NEED that, since i will be buying them that food regardless, they don't go without. I will go without before I'd let them. It's the other things that I probably won't end up buying.

She's destroyed 2 years of toys in two weeks though and could use another one of these
