Alright, I haven't tested out a whole lot of headphones. Really not many at all. That being said, it is tough to do research, but I feel as though I've done quite a bit and found a very good 'bang for your buck' setup.
I have the Monoprice M1060, the Schiit Modi, and the Schiit Vali.
If you will be bringing this around with you, I would change the Vali with the Magni. You might also want to change those open back headphones for their closed counterpart.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with Monoprice, but the jist of their brand is that they copy designs that other companies make. Here is a 'Roomba' that they make. It looks and works exactly the same as a Roomba, but costs less. Here is a 'Dyson' that they make. Once again, it looks the same and probably works the same, for a fraction of the price. Here is a 3D printer that is just a replica (rebadged?) Malyan M300 (which retails at $200 I think).
Anyways, they just make the same stuff as other brands, but cheaper.
Now, look at the M1060 from Monoprice, and look at the Audeze LCD 2. It is very clear to me that Monoprice ripped off that design, but made it for $250 instead of $1000.
Here is a comparison of the two on head-fi. I'll grab a few quotes from the review in case you don't want to read it. It was the first link that showed up on google when I searched "m1060 vs lcd 2".
> Comfort: This one's pretty subjective. For me, the LCD's headband fits nicely over my large head and I have no issues. Both headphones are incredibly heavy, but it's due to the materials they are built with, and I see that as a good thing. I can wear both headphones for hours on end, although I will say that overall, the M1060's are more comfortable.
> SQ wise, the Audeze's win...... But let's go back to the "baby LCD" question on the M1060's. At their given price, the M1060's are a strong performer. Most of the sound characteristics are reminiscent of the LCD-2. I'd say it's less refined (and it is the truth) with the bass being more uncontrolled and most tracks sounding "crowded". The LCD-2 gives the track more room to breathe and really squeezes every ounce out of a well recorded track. With that being said, the M1060's are about 80-85% of the LCD-2's (to my ears) at well under 1/3 the price when new.
> If you have the means, and are looking for a set of warm, open backed cans, the Audeze's are a fantastic choice. However, if you are more budget oriented, the M1060's are a wonderful, cost effective option to the LCD-2.
Let's move on. Joshua Valour made a fantastic comparison video. He is a pretty well respected headphone reviewer, and I personally trust everything he says about them.
I'm watching it now, so I'll just grab some quotes from the video so you don't have to do it. (They won't be word for word unless they have "quotes" around them.)
> The M1060 have a good midrange and high end, but don't have the bass extension that the Audezies(idk how to spell that) do.
> The LCDs have a bit of a treble dip that keeps them less fatiguing.
> The LCDs feel a bit duller while the M1060s are sharper
> Vocals sound good on the M1060 but feel a bit more filled out with the LCDs
> "I am going to give an 'openness factor' to the 1060s "
> The 1060 has a wider soundstage, but the LCDs have better imaging because of the smaller soundstage
> Conclusion: the M1060 is thinner, wider, and crisper. The LCDs are warm, enjoyable, and narrow.
> "The LCD is a better performing headphone in more categores, but I don't know if it's a 3x better headphone"
> "I would say that the 1060s to my preference sound like a more expensive headphone than they are"
Anyways, the fact that he even made this video makes me think that he thinks that they're close enough to be comparable. The fact that he doesn't think the LCDs (which are known for being very good headphones) aren't worth 3x the price is also very impressive for the M1060s.
Alright, so that's good enough in my opinion. I think you got the idea. I think that the M1060 or M1060c would be a very good headphone for the money.
Now, why did I get the Schiit stack? Well, I like the way it looks, especially with that tube. It actually matches the M1060s well, because he mentioned they were a bit thin, and I imagine the tube fills it out a bit more. But I'm not 100% certain.
Hope this helps!
Edit: I'd like to point out that there have been a few revisions of the M1060s, so if you see stuff talking about bad build quality or whatever, that has all been taken care of.
Today's your lucky day! My nickname is Mister Taco. What's UP! Let's get this Master Class on homemade tacos started! The first thing to learn is that there are two basic kinds of tacos:
Hard tacos are more Tex-Mex, whereas soft tacos are more Mexican. They come from two basic sources:
Before we get into the taco shells, it's important to learn the difference between a taco & variations like fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, taquitos, etc. Here's a basic primer: (although there is a lot of overlap in the United States!)
Tacos, on the other hand, are folded in half & eaten with fillings. They can be hard (fried - typically just the yellow corn ones) or soft (just a warm tortilla - either flour or white corn). Size-wise, they are typically much smaller than a burrito wrap; there are tiny street tacos & then regular-sized tacos, maybe 6" long (give or take a few inches). I should note that how amazing your tacos are depends entirely upon you. So let's get started!

Homemade flour tortillas:
There are basically 3 levels of flour tortillas:
The packaged kind are fine, if that's all you have. They serve their job as a container for the ingredients in the taco. At minimum, you'll want to warm them up (microwave or oven) & then keep them warm. I recommend this microwavable tortilla warmer pouch, which will keep the tortillas warm for up to an hour. No one likes cold flour tortillas:
https://www.amazon.com/MEXI-10007-Sunburst-Tortilla-Warmer-12-Inch/dp/B00HWF4E7G
If you're fortunate enough to live in an area where you can buy a pack of hand-made tortillas, then you've got it made! These are typically awesome & fit the bill perfectly. If not, or if you're into DIY, then you can also make them pretty easily. There are a variety of ways to do it, which you can find on Youtube & Pinterest, but I'll share with you my recommended secrets for making great tortillas at home!
If you're going to bother making them (they are pretty easy, just takes some time is all), then I say go big or go home! First ingredient you'll need is lard. Not just any lard, either - leaf lard! I get mine here:
https://fannieandflo.net/products/1-pound-leaf-lard
Lard is the secret to delicious, flaky tortillas that are so good you can eat them plain. Ever had good naan bread at an Indian restaurant? Yeah, like that. Here is an excellent starter recipe with step-by-step photos:
https://www.mexicanplease.com/homemade-flour-tortillas-done-right/
Next, you'll need a tortilla press. Rolling pins are for wimps; get yourself this bad boy here:
https://www.amazon.com/Victoria-TOR-003-FBA_TOR-003-Tortilla-Press/dp/B00HWEIKZO/
Note that this is NOT for cooking! This is for SMOOSHING! Don't buy an electric tortilla maker, that's sacrilege! If you do pick up a Victoria cast-iron tortilla press, get this book to go along with it:
https://www.amazon.com/Victoria-Cast-Tortilla-Press-Cookbook-ebook/dp/B01MXPY937
Also note that you should use some sort of liner between the iron plates, like parchment sheets or a split-open ziploc bag or plastic wrap. The goal is to smash it flat in a nice round shape!
Next, you'll need to throw it on a hot pan to cook, about a minute per side. This can be done on a non-stick skillet, a cast-iron skillet, or in my case, a piping-hot, high-heat retention Baking Steel: (hey, go big or go home!)
https://www.bakingsteel.com/
You can freeze cooked or uncooked tortillas, which is handy if you're in a tortilla-making mood & want to pop out a few dozen for an hour or so's worth of work.
part 1/5
Here's my list of "favorites" for my GSDs:
Chuck-It Balls. By far, the most durable balls I've found. They've got some "give", so they seem to enjoy chewing/chasing them more. Remember, once the ball can fit between their back teeth, it's time to upgrade to the larger size.
The Shark Vacuum is a beast. We've tried any number of vacuums over the years, this one falls into the "Not Stupidly Expensive and Totally Worth It" category. Getting a decent Undercoat Rake goes hand-in-hand with a good vacuum. Rake once a week (three times during shedding season), brush 1-3 times a week, you'll give your back a break no matter what vacuum you buy.
In terms of training treats, we really like the Red Barn Chicken and Liver Rolls. After a while, we use them exclusively for scent training, but it's an excellent (and not expensive!) treat for any kind of training. Cube small, you'll get a ton of mileage out of one roll.
Herm Sprenger Dog Collars make great training collars. Not everyone likes the idea of a pinch/prong collar, so if it's not your thing, look elsewhere. However, if you are planning on training with pinch, these are the best, bar none. We use the small size and just add links as our dog grows - it's almost impossible to injure them with the smaller prongs and they tend to respond better. Please learn how to use a pinch before using one of these extensively - they shouldn't be used for restraint and you should probably wait until 8+ months (a number of people I know even wait till 14+ months for any obedience aside from the "necessities") before doing a ton of training anyway.
I'll stay away from food recommendations as it seems to be such a controversial topic. I will say that there are a ton of good sites out there to research - first figuring out whether you're feeding raw, tube, or kibble and then what to do once you decide.
Last - look for a dog club in your area. I personally like the German Shepherd Dog Club of America - Working Dog Association, but there are a number of places like this. I can tell you irrefutably that my dogs' favorite day of the week is training day. Nothing like getting out there with other GSD lovers and doing some tracking/obedience/protection work.
Hope this helps! Good luck :)
Hello! I think I can help here! The folks on here are right about needing to steam them...and I took my recommendation from America's Test Kitchen...they had an episode where they tested 4 or 5 different brands and types of tortilla warmer. Well, the "strange" one came out on top, and I have to say, man it does the job!
https://www.amazon.com/MEXI-10007-Sunburst-Tortilla-Warmer-12-Inch/dp/B00HWF4E7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503316605&sr=8-1&keywords=imusa+tortilla+warmer
It looks strange...it seems strange...but this baby works! As an overweight, professionally trained cook that has a somewhat serious burrito addiction/obsession...I can tell you, you put as big of a tortilla as you want in one of these...15 seconds in the microwave...and it will stay warm for...up to an hour if you need it. But, the point is, you can do your prep, cooking, get everything ready and it's ready when you are...in 15 seconds...it makes the tortilla pliable and soft, but not gummy or wet.
I rarely find that things live up to the hype...but this thing has zero hype...it just has America's Test Kitchen's seal of approval (which for a lot of us usually is reliable)...and you can see on Amazon...over 330 reviews and a 5 star rating.
If my link failed, the name of the product is Imusa 12 inch Tortilla Warmer.
As for brands of tortillas, I spent some time doing my own test on which grocery store tortilla was best for what I wanted. I wanted a tortilla that tasted good (good fat and salt came thru in the flavor), tasted "fresh" (which really meant not stale), held up well through out the eating process (didn't fall apart with ingredients or salsa falling out through a rip or tear), and was more of the thin type vs. fluffy...personal preference.
I tested about 5 of them...can't exactly remember...they were Chi Chi's Burrito, La Banderita Burrito Grande, Old El Paso Burrito, Essential Everyday Large Flour Tortilla, and one other that escapes me right now.
Of these, my preference in every category is La Banderita Burrito Grande...it meets all the criteria the best...but especially the flavor, texture, and the ease to work with.
I use them more for Tex Mex style burritos and breakfast burritos for my family and I...but I also make thin rolled wraps with ingredients like cucumber, cream cheese, lettuce, turkey for my kids or for picnics at the beach. This brand works well for both.
I hope my post has helped you, please let me know if you have any questions, cheers!
TL;DR: I recommend La Banderita brand and the IMUSA 12 Tortilla Warmer.
Edit: added TL;DR
Most of our gifts were replacements or upgrades of things we already owned. A really cheap and awesome gift we got was this stainless steel scraper, which makes it so much easier to transfer food from a cutting board to a pot/pan. We also got a matching set of this luggage belt with a TSA lock--I actually gifted one to my husband years ago, but we used this as an opportunity to replace his now worn-down belt. We also replaced our kitchen scale with this Amazon Basics one, which works really well. Another Amazon Basics item we received was this paper shredder, which is a kickass workhorse of a machine.
One of the first gifts we got was a Corelle dish set that I LOVE--it's so much lighter and more durable than the stoneware set we were using. We also replaced our silverware set with an Oneida set that we both picked out, which was a very sweet and meaningful experience. We already have a nice Oneida silverware set, but it belonged to my husband's late mother, and he wanted to retire it so it wouldn't take any more wear & tear.
Those are all gifts that were my hands-down favorite things we received. We were also able to buy two expensive items off our registry thanks to Amazon's completion discount. We purchased a Sonos soundbar and a Miele vacuum that were absolutely worth every penny we spent on them!
Bona's great. I've also like Weiman Floor Cleaner. I'd say even more important is a good
pro grade dry mop for regular dust/grit cleanup (not any of that Swiffer BS). You should be able to find it cheaper at your local hardware store.
Story time: We custom built our house and at the end of the build the GC brought in one hardcore middle aged lady that spent 2-3 days cleaning the ENTIRE damn house from construction zone to spotless. She was superhuman. I was doing touchup painting and made sure to be very respectful of not dirtying up rooms that she had already cleaned and apparently she really appreciated it, as she left one of her dry mops with a nice note wishing us luck in our new house and saying this dry mop was the most important thing we'd need. She was right, you can dry mop an entire floor of the house in just a few minutes and it takes it from "this floor is covered in grit and cat hair" to "nice and clean". Then just proper mop occasionally. If you go too long between proper mops, it can be nice to steam mop to get the tough dirt that won't easily mop out.
I would suggest the C1 Delphi. It has the basic electric brush (overkill for rugs, but great if you ever have a place with low-pile carpets and is upgradable to the 228 or 236 brush if you have hi-pile carpets). It comes with the Parquet Twister head which is essential for hardwood floors and is orders of magnitude better than the multihead (I have both). It's not fancy. It doesn't have the foot-operated suction adjustment switches, and I think it doesn't come with the HEPA filter (although you can buy one for it). Because you have a furry friend, I recommend getting the Handheld Turbobrush.
All of that said, go to your local Miele dealer and see what they have. There are special in-store-only models that are usually a better deal than what you can find online. But the C1 Delphi is where I would start.
I know this isn't what you're asking about exactly but I got myself an off-brand Roomba (The Ilife) and a steam mop and it has changed my life forever. The Ilife keeps up with the cleaning in my 1200 sqft apt extremely well even with my dog and the porch door left open for extended amounts of time. I've had the ILife for about 6 months and it's still running strong. Hasn't broke with me accidentally stepping on it, my 50lb bulldog trying to lay on it, and the dining room chair falling on it.
They also make bots that have a mopping attachment that's pretty cool, I've never tried it though. If you want to feel extra clean an air purifier will help quite a bit. It'll help keep dust down. That's my next big purchase.
I have this Shark True Pet vacuum. A little pricey, but sooo worth it for my German Shedder. I had 3 huskies at once, and had the Shark Navigator. Loved it! But I accidentally broke a piece and had to retire it. My dad’s had his Shark for almost 6 years now, runs good as new. My brother has a GSD and a golden and also has the True Pet. We aren’t sponsored, I swear. Just like their vacuums!
Super easy to empty and clean too. Never had any issues with mine.
I just got this one a few months ago and LOVE it (upgraded from a heavy bissell). https://www.amazon.com/Rotator-Powered-Lift-Away-TruePet-NV752/dp/B00X7R1FZ2/. It might be the version after the navigator? Does your handle part detach? or just the canister?
We have medium-high pile carpeting throughout the house and this definitely gets it clean. no pets though...so I can't speak to pet hair other than the hair I shed. lol It is marketed as a pet vacuum though, and a couple of the attachments do have a 'pet stripe' of felt to help get hair off the furniture.
it's so light and maneuverable, plus the whole quick click-connect system is SO NICE to be able to detach the canister, slap on a small attachment to the handle, and go after the stairs. so much easier than lugging a huge vaccum up each step - especially now with bean on board!
Just brushed out our dog with this. Loved it, he has long hair and it did the trick. (Labradoodle)
I LOVE our hand vacuum. I get annoyed with dusting things that don’t really do the trick because I can still see things floating around. But I really see things get sucked with this guy.
Third the roomba suggestion. I forget the brand we have but it’s so easy to leave it on while we leave for the day. The legs get stuck or fall off around the apartment here or there so that’s annoying.
I got a steam mop Wednesday for my laminate floors. Meh. I don’t know how I feel about it. I was expecting miracle worker given what I’ve read on this Reddit group. But I also cheaped out and bought a highly rated one because it was $20 off so $40 total compared to some $80-$120 alternatives. I linked it below but now it’s only $10 off so I don’t know if I’d recommend going with it. But my boyfriend did remark it looks like no one has walked on our floors and it’s a good way to finish off a vacuum.

The difference between the regular and pet models is just the tools, however the max has a few differences but the main one is that it has a different baseplate that does a great job of sealing to the carpet, improving performance and maximizing airflow through the carpet, also it happens to be cheaper at the moment so even if they were the same, the max would still be the best deal: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0055SNR2A/ref=psdcmw_510110_t2_B003EQ470G?th=1&psc=1
Sanitaires are great deep cleaning direct air vacuums but they are really only good for carpeting and nothing else. An attachment hose is really convenient. I think Riccar is having some problems so they are not treating their dealers that well.
there's always something like this that will perform almost as well the Riccar https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-WindTunnel-Upright-Cleaner-UH30600/dp/B0055SNR2A/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Hoover+Tempo&qid=1569703705&s=gateway&sr=8-4
Also, take a look at the Sebo Felix. Might be the best upright on the market for home use.
I was given a nextbase 312gw as a gift and it's been faultless. It was a "which" best buy and has GPS/WiFi and a magnetic mount so easily detachable when parked up etc.

I had no idea about the HomeCare model and my mother just phoned and said she visited our local Miele dealer who offered that model (C1 Homecare) for $600. He also offered her a C3 Softcarpet for $700 which I see retails for $800.
So, here's my question: which model? I understand the C1 has a shorter cord and not as enclosed a filtration system, but is the extra $100 worth the upgrade from the C1 Homecare to the C3 Soft Carpet?
Frankly, I'm very happy with both choices as they seem to be fine options.
What should I be considering?
If you've got the cash for it, I love these things.
Good luck and congrats on your new place!
Hello! It looks like this post is somewhat active so I'll ask my question here. I've been looking for a vacuum to replace our $50 Eureka and am currently eyeing a couple of different Miele vacuums on Amazon.
Miele S2121 Delphi
Miele S2121 Capri
I currently have enough credit to cover either of the vacuums, and want to make the best purchase I can. Any other specific models I should be considering? Our apartment has medium carpet, hardwood floors, and concrete, with the potential for pets in the future.
Also, is there any downside to buying a Miele on Amazon instead of with a local dealer?
EDIT: I've been combing through your comments on other questions, and have been looking more specifically at s6 and s8 models. S6 is probably more within my reach. Model recommendations?
If it’s wall-to-wall carpet and you’re confident that your vacuum is working properly and it’s just not picking up all the hair you could try getting one of these groomers to rake over it and help loosen up more hair before vacuuming. If it’s an extreme case and you’re willing to hire a carpet cleaner find a company that has a CRB tool . They are fairly new to the industry but man I’m telling you they remove more pet hair than you could believe.
If it’s an area rug which I’m thinking it may be from the wording of your post you might have a rug that just holds the hair like Velcro. In these cases even my CRB can’t always loosen it all up. Usually what I’ll do is mist it down with very little water and then rub over it in a circular motion with my shoes (yes very professional but the only thing that works). Of course you would have to let it dry before you use your vacuum on it again.
If dog dander odor is an issue then you certainly want to have it professionally cleaned with a deodorizer as removing hair will only help with the odor so much.
A lot of shit has been given over you trying to ask a serious question. Welcome to the internet. A ridesharing driver starter kit should have the following items:

Your real challenge would be to make these hundreds of dollars worth of items worth the markup you'll need to charge to save new drivers from spending 20 minutes on Amazon and getting it cheaper.
I use the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Lithiom Ion Cordless Vacuum: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07CB6RBSP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. I highly recommend it. The cordless feature is very convenient especially when I vacuum the pigs' Guinea dad cage liners outside before washing them. The suction power is at a good level, and the pet hair attachment does help a lot. 5 months of daily use of mine and it is great so far. Just remember to charge it 2-3 hours before a major cleaning.
I got the corded version before but didn't like it. It was actually too powerful and I didn't find the pink attachment that effective, plus the cord made storage annoying.
Well it depends on their vacuum. If it's good vacuum not completely clapped-out. You might be able to get a free estimate and a vacuum shop which might be worth it. If it's simply not worth fixing buying used as suggested can sometimes be good make sure it's fully functional.
There's also nothing wrong with buying Hoover tempo or WindTunnel T-Series bagged .

I would never encourage anybody to go into debt over vacuum cleaner.
Hey there. I hope you're doing well and maybe still answering questions in this thread. I really appreciate the time you take to do all these AMAs.
I just picked up a Miele Classic C1 Oympus, but haven't opened the box yet. I'm hoping for a little confirmation that I made the right choice.
We live in a 765 sq.ft. 1BR apartment with hardwood floors, except for the vinyl tiles in the galley kitchen and ceramic in the bathroom. I have low pile FLOR carpet tiles in the dining room, and a few other low pile area rugs. A kitty lives with us too.
We're about to replace our 5'x8' living room rug with this .5" pile wool area rug, and I'm wondering if that's something the default floor brush can handle, or if I should spend another $100 on the Turbo Brush. And since I would then be investing over $400, would I be better off with a different model altogether?
Thanks in advance.
I suggest a steam mop for deeper cleaning.
For casual weekly cleaning or whatever I have a reusable Libman mop. Basically it's a Swifer that you fill yourself and wash the pad.
I make this homemade cleaner and it works wonders.
I have original hardwood floors from the 1930's and I swear by the techniques above. It's both gentle and effective.
Do not use Murphy's Oil Soap unless your floors are unfinished wood floors!
I just wanted to thank you for your last AMA. I bought a Miele C2 cannister vac as a result (could not quite convince the spouse to spring for the C3). I have mostly laminate and linoleum, with some area rugs and carpeted bedrooms, and two large dogs. The Miele does a really good job on the rugs, and I love not using a broom on the smooth floor surfaces anymore! I never would have known about this brand if not for you!
Hi, I clean houses and house and pet sit for a living. I love this vac I got mine from woot for less than $200, so keep an eye out there!
Both have great filtration. Personally, I always go with sealed because I have such terrible allergies. You might find that you want a larger bag. The sealed filtration is worth it to me unless you want the larger bag.
The FiberTeQ and AllTeQ are basically the same thing. However, if you REALLY want something for your hardwoods, I'd really suggest adding on the Miele Parquett Twister brush. It's got way more rotation in the brush for getting in hard to reach places and it's really, really fantastic on sensitive hard flooring. You can't go wrong.
Hey man. Thanks so much for doing all these AMAs. I have enjoyed reading about them and learning about buying quality whenever I can.
I just moved into an apartment recently with 75% carpet and 25% tile/linoleum. Based on your other responses, I feel that something like a Miele S6270 would work great but do I need to buy a brush attachement (like this) to go along with it as well?
I've got the Shark Rotator Lift-Away, and love it. My dog has a short coat; the problem hair is my own and this thing does a great job with it. I got it at BedBathandBeyond with one of their 20% off coupons, and have since seen it go on sale quite frequently.
I use a seam ripper to tear the hair from the roller, and it works really well.
My Dyson DC40 is my favourite 'proper' hoover Electrical. But I also love this as it's lightweight and I can just use it wherever without thinking about cords. It picks stuff up easy and is quick to empty. Since I can't carry the Dyson around we keep that upstairs where the carpets are and I have the sweeper downstairs so I can use it there :)
Not OP, but I use Nextbase 312w that has GPS tracking (coordinates), speed, your reg (if you put it in) etc. and is 1080p. Very good for not too expensive. There are better models but in my opinion the price didn't justify it.
I have this one and it has been great! I definitely get the 90 minutes of steam time that they advertise and I think it would be worth the extra 8 cents over the one you posted.

Best little purchase ever! Spray a solution down, scrub it and then use warm water with this and it gets the seats looking new!

You'll notice the insistence on yellow because my wife and I love yellow.
I use the Amazon wishlist extension that lets you add things from other websites. If money was no object [this would be mine] (http://www.yesasia.com/us/sailor-moon-time-key-key-of-space-time-silver-925-pendant-k18-gold/1033863903-0-0-0-en/info.html).
Otherwise, this is something I would buy that is legitimately on my [wishlist] (http://www.amazon.com/iRobot-Roomba-Vacuum-Cleaning-Robot/dp/B008LX6JWG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=19XIKAS79AJYG&coliid=I3HCRQBJ8C5P56).
Your "Fairy tales do come true" necklace is my absolute favorite on your Etsy shop and I just added your shop to my favorites list!!
I've had a Bissell Zing for about two years now and I really like it. It's small and light but powerful, it comes with a brush that has a setting for hardwood or carpet (I have wood floors but I've used it on some low pile area rugs too) and I've bought some third-party attachments that work really well with it. It's currently $88 but you can catch it on sale for $49.
Oh, you're funny! Even the special robust nozzles (i have this one https://www.amazon.com/Miele-205-3-Turbo-Nozzle-Attachment/dp/B000AMEKHW) have a hard time coping with all the hair that my ONE golden retriever sheds. There's no hope that a roomba would survive a day.
This is the one I have. . It seems to be similar to yours. But mine is in red and is branded for cars as opposed to for pets.
The problem I have with sucking the poop with the vac is it gets clogged a lot. However the different after everything is like and day.
Also yeah, they’re all in one. Pretty affordable and effective!
Awww gurl my mom bought me this Hoover bagged vacuum for Christmas in 2011 and it is to date my favorite gift ever in history. You know you're old when you are happy to get a vacuum for Christmas, but SHIt this thing is amazing. Lightweight, sleek, works amazing, bags last forever. Ungh I wanna go home and use it right now
Edit: this one if you're curious
Maybe one of these would be a better choice. Same price at Best Buy.

My cleaning lady had the best vacuum. It's a shark. I want to get one for myself since I only use her when I'm unavailable to clean.
I can't find her exact model.
Is this the one you use?

>clean beer off of hardwood floors?
Step 1: Towel up liquid.
Step 2: Steam mop. I've got that exact one (two toddlers, a dog, and a cat in a house with all hardwood floors, so I don't like to use chemicals on my floor if I can help it), and it does a great job of breaking up sticky stuff that would normally require you to get out the scrub brush.
No problem. If $200 is a hard budget, a Hoover Tempo is great for the price on carpets. https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Cleaner-WidePath-Upright-U5140900/dp/B0009ONZ8G/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1499460191&sr=8-13&keywords=Hoover
A better option, still under $200 would be the Hoover Windtunnel. https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Anniversary-WindTunnel-Propelled-U6485900/dp/B0016NP14A/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&qid=1499460243&sr=8-27&keywords=Hoover
The decent, just at your budget machine, would be the Platinum. It comes with two machines. One just for carpets, and a smaller one for floors and attachments. The warranty is nice with this machine. https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Platinum-Collection-Canister-UH3001COM/dp/B001PB8EEM/ref=sr_1_45?ie=UTF8&qid=1499460277&sr=8-45&keywords=Hoover
A sweeper to help keep her room clean. Students like using it.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GL1NXU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T1_XQSFzbFXCF0F3
If the vacuum's mostly gonna be cleaning hard floors, you'll probably want to look into something with a dedicated barefloor tool, which rules out most uprights. This Miele would be a very nice option, since it comes with a bare floors tool and a air powered turbo brush (which is usually fine for rugs).
Like this one? super affordable on Amazon.
And thanks for the luck and advice. I'll probably spend part of today doing just that.
Not a steam cleaner but I bought this and it works great

I use the VAVA Dash Cam. https://www.amazon.co.uk/VAVA-Image-Sensor-1080p-Videos-x/dp/B076FVPTLN
The Nextbase 312GW is currently the second highest rated one on Which (the highest rated one is about twice the price): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nextbase-312GW-Full-1080p-Black/dp/B01ELRJW5Q
But if I were to get one nowadays, I’d probably get one from Anker, purely because I’ve had great experience with their other products, and their customer service is top notch when it comes to guarantees. Which would likely end up being this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Roav-Resolution-2560X1440-Wide-Angle-Recording/dp/B072FVX74Q/
One of the main things you want in a dashcam is a GPS sensor, this will log your drive and also show your speed on the recording.
> Bissell
I am wayyy late on this AMA, but what's your opinion of the Bissell Zing? After my trusty Eureka Oxygen 6999 canister vac died after something like a decade of use, I ordered the Zing, seeing quite a few good reviews on Amazon for its performance on hard floors (I have wood floors, only a few rugs here and there, 3 kids but no pets). It's arriving today. Am I screwed?
Thanks so much for doing this AMA!!
Got this 6 months ago and LOVE it. (Shark Rotator Pro)
A clothing wand steamer isn't going to have the pressure needed to do detailing stuff.
I have one of these and love it:
https://www.amazon.com/McCulloch-MC1375-Canister-Steam-System/dp/B00G00BT72
This is basically as good as it gets without spending $1000 on a VX5000 or whatever.
I have a Miele vacuum with a special attachment for hardwood floors. It has a double pivot, and it works like a Swiffer where it glides over the floor at any angle (hard to describe if you haven't used one). It can go completely flat, so it's good for reaching under things.
I can easily vacuum all the way under my bed from one side. It also works under furniture, as long as it's high enough (a few inches). It fits all the way under my couch.
Here's a link to the attachment. I think you could probably use it with any canister vacuum with the right adapter and maybe some duct tape. I think Miele uses a different hose diameter than "normal" vacuums, but it's not far off.
https://www.amazon.com/Miele-Parquett-Twister-SBB-300-3/dp/B001F9Y9FC
There is a model for households with pets, which I think works pretty well. My cat has long silky hairs and a dense down-like undercoat, my dog has a brisk, stiff coat and I have long, thick, wavy hair. The Roomba gets everything.
Mine's an iRobot 630 and it gets the job done nicely.
Hopefully it lands me a Hitmonchan too
I just scrubbed a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom tile floor and it turned out amazing! Here's what I used: This grout cleaner with this amazing grout brush. Then I used a larger scrub brush like this with this tile cleaner. Anything that didn't come off with that I scraped off with a razor blade scraper like this. When I was done I sealed the grout with this. I used a small artist paint brush to apply it. The brush that comes on the bottle isn't very useful.
This may be overkill if you're just trying to get the job done, but I wanted to do the job right (and get rid of a gross odor from the old roommate) and make sure I wouldn't have to do it again for a while. I'll use my steam mop to maintain it, as the whole apartment is tile.
What do you think of the Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum with Canister. I have one and it seems to work pretty well.
I think it was on sale for $250 or less at Fry's. Shop around as it varies quite a bit. What we didn't realize is that it also comes with a separate shoulder-strap container-type of vacuum that is so great for tile/hardwood and other small cleanups.
Personally, I feel like the bag vacuums are superior from the wind tunnel types and we couldn't be happier with this vacuum.

This is what I'm looking at tbh. Has nozzles that focus the steam and has a wide angle as well. Have heard really good things about this for exterior and interior for the price.

Omg how have I been a dog owner for 10 years with hardwood floors and only got this when I was pregnant???
Now that I have a constantly shedding lab and a crawling baby, I use it daily on about 700 sq feet. Does an amazing job and my floors have never looked cleaner.
It is seriously laughable how tired cleaning the sofa's upholstery just made me. But with that said, this thing is sooooo killer! A year ago, we paid Home Depot to install a garbage disposal and they cancelled and then gave us $130 gift card for our troubles (that was the price we had to pay another installer). I've been sitting on it forever and I finally realized the perfect way to spend it. I love this thing. It got the pee smell out of the hallway carpet (not cool, Max, not cool!) took some coffee stains of my bedroom carpet (no one to blame but yourself on that one, Lolli), and now did the sofas! I wish I'd taken before and after pics!
I used this carpet rake.
Light, easy to maneuver, didn't chew up the wood. Normal length handle that you might be willing to extend a bit.
I'm looking at the Miele C2 Complete. I have a mixture of tile, laminate, and carpet in a 1050 sq ft condo. (Carpet in living room and both bedrooms, laminate in kitchen, tile in the entry way and bathrooms.
Is this something you'd recommend? Or is there something that I could get a little cheaper that would do a similar job? I called around to the certified Miele dealers in my area and they said that they never have refurbished models because no one ever wants to get rid of them.. Must be a good sign.
Here's what I'm looking to get: https://www.amazon.com/Miele-Complete-C2-Limited-Corded/dp/B00US4DNMU
Miele C1 would be a good choice. It's the cheapest canister they offer, but straight suction is all you really need with hardwood floors. I would add the parquet twister, and possibly a turbo nozzle (STB-205) for the rugs, depending on the type.
Miele Classic C1

If you are on a budget, the roomba 675 will do the job. It does not have any fancy features but it does connect to WiFi which lets you set schedules and run cleaning jobs while away from home. I have half of your square foot area, a dog and a 9 year old.

Something like this that you can just run back and forth and pick up all the junk that ends up on the floor under tables. Basically a quiet vacuum minus the vacuum. When I waited we used these during service and then would run a regular electric vacuum cleaner back over everything at the end of the night when closing the section.
[This] (http://amzn.com/B00G00BT72) would be your best bet for your price range. Anything lower is more than likely break in a year or two.
i would probably go home with a sebo K3 if i were in your shoes (or can go big with a D4). Sebo's quick fieldstrip head will come in handy in removing the medium/long hair, washing/disinfecting, and i dont think there's anything else like it in that regard. a new roll costs like $25 if you happen to kill it. Not sure if it comes with parquet or kombi head also but they work good with front brush removed. Sebo bags are cheaper than miele i think, but 2/3 the size unless you shell out the $$$ for a D4 which is more comparable to a miele C3. Smaller bag capacity could be a good thing. How long do you really want crap to ferment in the vacuum anyway?

The Miele C3 costs more but has bigger bag comparable to sebo D4. the SEB236/228 powerheads basically dont fieldstrip at all, but it has a slot in the brushroll for scissors. I would probably pick a C2 or C3 for a house with no pets.

Both choice are totl for filtration. Spend the savings on bags. Change often if it smells. Buy bag tablets.

On second thought, maybe a vacuum cleaner is the wrong tool for massive amounts of fur. You wouldn't use pliars to remove a lug nut.. but you could. Long hair and spinning brushes don't seem like they should go together. Maybe the suction can be used in conjunction with a specialized tool?

A Roomba! I have two cats and my husband and I both work... fur everywhere. I have always wanted a Roomba, but, it's not super necessary. I'd rather have the second-most expensive item on my list, the Harry Potter boxed set, because I don't own all the books (!!)!(!)!(!) despite being the biggest fan there is, and the ones I do own are kind of thrashed. THAT I must own.

This one actually: Shark Rotator Professional Upright Corded Bagless Vacuum for Carpet and Hard Floor with Lift-Away Hand Vacuum and Anti-Allergy Seal (NV501), White with Red Chrome https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0091JG0LY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_v2BDDbGG313M6
I have been using this carpet sweeper for the past couple months. It works really well for fur, hay, and poop. You'll have to clean out the brushes once a month and empty the compartments once a day but otherwise it's been magical! Picks up everything!

It works great on carpet, but the floor attachment always gets pet hair hopelessly stuck in the pad on thew hardwood floors. I was thinking maybe something that had water used to clean floors, but maybe that is not needed.
It either comes from the pattern the use the extractor tool in, or (for longer carpets) from a carpet rake they use afterwards so that the wet carpet fibers don't get matted. Either way, the pattern comes from pulling the tool straight back towards you and then pushing it forward at an angle so you can start the next pass beside the previous one.
I used the McCulloch 1375: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00G00BT72/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gKh9Bb46CWK0B
But i've been able to achieve similar results with this budget steam cleaner : https://www.amazon.ca/Handheld-Steam-Cleaner-Lightweight-Multipurpose/dp/B077XT32WD/ref=cm_sw_em_r_dp_dz_U_kRKmBbCYKCWGB_tt
I also posted something previously using this exact steamer

Hey OP,
I was sick of cutting the hair out of my vacuum on a weekly basis and ended up buying a carpet hair rake similar to this.
I would highly recommend it for your sanity, giving the carpet a pass over with this produced enormous fist sized balls of hair and meant the vacuum wouldn't jam up for several weeks at a time.
Try a carpet rake. Something like this.
I'd say either that or a high pressure hose setting...
I bought this Bissell model: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0091YYUAM/

Shark Rotator, hands down.
If I only had $100 to buy a brand new vacuum, which should I get? For 75% Carpet and 25% Wood Floor. These are all bagged uprights.
Hoover Windtunnel (UH30310, UH30600, UH30300 - they all seem very similar)
Panasonic MC-UG223

I know that the Miele vacuums are the bees knees, but I have this vacuum. What is your opinion?
Try one of these guys before you use the vacuum. It gets most of the hay. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GL1NXU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_z9ePBbW8F1HSN

Get one of these. Trust me. You don't need to spend a lot. This guy is full of shit.
Im getting married in October. I've done some research and came across the Hoover Platinum Collection Lightweight Bagged Upright with Canister, UH30010COM. Is this a good vacuum set to put on our registry? We have hard woods with oriental rugs.

Two cats and dog (shepherd mix that sheds constantly). We use the Shark Rotator Professional. I’m not sure of the exact model number though. We’ve had it for about a year. No issues.
Interesting! We have a Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Upright Vacuum. Think that might be the issue? I've always worried that vacuum was a bit harsh.
I am very allergic and have 2. Keep it out of your bedroom, vacuum regularly with a hepa filtered vac if you can (I have this one https://www.amazon.com/Rotator-Lift-Away-Anti-Allergy-NV752-Bordeaux/dp/B00X7R1FZ2?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2), and take allergy medication if you have to (I do daily, but mostly because I am allergic to a ton of other stuff also). Don't buy into those hypo allergenic cats, its all bullshit in my experience.
