Worthwhile games under $20
Wii U:
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Currently $20 on Amazon via third-party seller) - A solid action game with good online play.
Scribblenauts Unlimited ($17 on Amazon via third-party retailer, inc. shipping) and Unmasked ($18 on Amazon) - A fun little creative toy where you solve puzzles by creating... well, just about anything.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Currently $15 on Amazon) - A superb FPS, and the Wii U version is arguably the definitive console version of the game.
Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition ($11 on BestBuy.com) - The definitive version of one of the best superhero games of all time.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 ($19 on Amazon) - A good fighting game.
Injustice: Gods Among Us ($14 on BestBuy.com) - A surprisingly good fighting game
Lego Marvel (Currently $20 on Amazon) - One of the better of the LEGO games, and the Wii U gamepad means that co-op play can be done with each player getting their own screen.
Assassin's Creed III (Currently $12 on Amazon via third-party seller, inc. shipping) and Black Flag ($19 on Amazon via third-party retailer, inc. shipping) - They're not really all that much better on the Wii U than other platforms, but if you don't have them yet these are decent entries in the series.
Resident Evil Revelations ($17 on BestBuy.com) - A decent entry in the series.
Wii:
Super Mario Galaxy ($20 on Amazon) - One of the best Mario games ever made, and generally considered to be one of the best videogames of all time.
Resident Evil 4 ($15 on Amazon) - One of the best survival horror games ever made.
Okami ($20 on Amazon) - A Zelda-style game with a beautiful calligraphy style.
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor ($18 on Amazon) - An action-packed shooter
Kirby's Epic Yarn ($14 on Amazon via third-party seller, inc. shipping) - It's so saccharine-cute it'll make your teeth rot, but if you can put up with that, it's an extremely inventive and fun platformer.
No More Heroes ($19 on Amazon) - A fun, very silly, violent action game.
Trauma Center: Second Opinion ($18 on Amazon) - Part surgery sim, part wicked hard arcade game.
De Blob ($18 on Amazon via third-party, inc. shipping) - A fun, inventive platformer where you bounce around to paint the scenery.
MadWorld ($11 on Amazon via third-party, inc. shipping) - A good, hyper-violent action game.
Wii U Nintendo eShop:
Shovel Knight - Old-school platformer goodness, designed like someone took the best parts of your favorite NES games and mashed them all together.
Art of Balance - A puzzle game that has you stacking blocks. It's really well-made.
Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition - A truly excellent Metroidvania-style game with a killer fighting engine and a fun, silly luchador theme. If you don't already have this on another platform, you need to get it.
Trine 2: Director's Cut - An excellent platform/puzzle game, and the Wii U version is arguably the best because the touchscreen is integrated very well.
WiiWare:
World of Goo - A superb puzzle game where you must construct various structures to get your goo to the exit.
Lost Winds 1 & 2 - Very good platformers that make good use of the Wii remote to make the gameplay interesting.
Bomberman Blast - 8-player online Bomberman. Aww yisssss.
Wii U Virtual Console - Too many good old-school games to list.
Wii Virtual Console - Tons and tons of good old-school games. It's not quite as convenient as the Wii U virtual console, because you have to go into Wii mode to play them and you can't play them with the Wii U gamepad, but the selection on the Wii's Virtual Console is far, far better than on the Wii U, and at the rate Nintendo is adding games to the Wii U Virtual Console, it looks like it'll probably stay that way for a long time. Keep in mind that if Nintendo adds a game to the Wii U Virtual Console that you already have on the Wii Virtual Console, they'll give you a discount on it to entice you to upgrade, so don't hold off just because you're hoping the game you want will come to the Wii U Virtual Console if it's already on the Wii Virtual Console.
Edit: Well, damn. Today Nintendo announced what is kinda' a game-changer - they're releasing Wii games directly for download on the Wii U's eShop for $20 each ($10 each on the week they're first released). The first game, Super Mario Galaxy 2, is out now, and the next two games will be Metroid Prime Trilogy and Punch-Out!!
All three of those games are extremely good, and have been selling for far more than the asking price (Metroid Prime Trilogy was $60-100 used before this news). If you're looking for cheap Wii U games and never got these titles on the Wii, Nintendo has just dropped the gauntlet with a deal you can't refuse.
First thing I'd do is order [Wii Party U] ( http://www.amazon.com/Party-Black-Remote-Plus-nintendo-u/dp/B00DC7FWRE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381842635&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+party+u).
It's $50 and comes with a black motion + controller and comes out this month. The game looks really fun local mutliplayer, and you will really want a Wiimote+ in your collection as well so this kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Grab a Black Nunchuck to match and you should be good to go.
[NintendoLand] (http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Land-wii-u/dp/B002I0K3M0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381843310&sr=8-1&keywords=nintendo+land) - Is really fun local multiplayer, and can be found for $20 or less these days. Keep an eye out and you can get it cheap.
[Need for Speed Most Wanted U] ( http://www.amazon.com/Need-Speed-Most-Wanted-Nintendo-u/dp/B00A39IEN8/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1381843367&sr=8-6&keywords=need+for+speed+most+wanted ) - is the best version of the game. They support every feature the PS360 has + off screen play, a co-driver mode which helps you change your environments, DLC included, further draw distances and higher res textures (they used the PC textures, not the PS360 ones) so if you don't already have it, it's a great game and under $20.
[Rayman Legends] ( http://www.amazon.com/Rayman-Legends-nintendo-wii-u/dp/B008AU4YEA/ref=sr_1_1_title_0?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1381843522&sr=1-1&keywords=rayman+legends+wiiu ) - Is also best on Wii U, in particular if you have someone to play co-op with.
I'd also at least try the [Zombie U] ( http://www.amazon.com/ZombiU-Nintendo-Wii-U/dp/B00897Z27C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381843957&sr=8-1&keywords=zombie+u), Monster Hunters 3, [Wonderful 101] ( http://www.amazon.com/The-Wonderful-101-Nintendo-Wii-U/dp/B002I08CSW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381844015&sr=8-1&keywords=wonderful+101), Sonic & All Stars Racing all of which are pretty good and have demos in the eShop.
Some Wii Games you missed since the Wii U is 100% Backwards compatible.
[Metroid Prime Trilogy] ( http://www.amazon.com/Metroid-Prime-Trilogy-Collectors-Edition-Nintendo/dp/B002ATY7JE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381842549&sr=8-1&keywords=metroid+prime+trilogy ) - Fantastic. Can't be stressed enough. 3 FANTASTIC 20+ hour games, and the motion / pointers controls are fantastic. This is how FPS's should be done.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and [or 2] (http://www.amazon.com/Super-Mario-Galaxy-2-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002BSA388/ref=pd_sim_vg_2) - Both are great, but if you're going to get [Super Mario 3D World] (http://www.amazon.com/Super-Mario-3D-World-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B00DC7G0GG/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1381844129&sr=1-1&keywords=mario+world) I can see waiting on them.
[MadWorld] ( http://www.amazon.com/MadWorld-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B0019SY1D4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381842523&sr=8-1&keywords=madworld ) - Short and fun, guilty pleasure kind of game. Think of the movie "The Running Man" done with a Sin City style and you're pretty close and it's under $10 now. Also for guilty pleasures I enjoyed House of the Dead: Overkill
[Red Steel 2] ( http://www.amazon.com/Red-Steel-2-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B001TOMR0C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381842459&sr=8-1&keywords=red+steel+2 ) - Fun game that probably would of sold better if they didn't call it "Red Steel 2", it's a LOT better than the 1st one and different enough that it could of been it's own IP.
Any Tiger Woods from 10 and up - I enjoyed them all, but once they added Wiimotion+ support it controlled much better.
[Punch-Out!!!] ( http://www.amazon.com/Punch-Out-Nintendo-Selects-Wii/dp/B005EIIBKY/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1381842847&sr=1-1&keywords=punchout ) Has support for motion controls or old fashioned NES style. Fun game.

Those are some mighty low desired price points... You say that you're using Gamestop as the baseline for those but there are 4 other retailers that also accept trade ins.
Game | Best Buy| Amazon | Target | Walmart
-SMM-| $27.00 | $35.17 | $28.50 | $30.61
-HW-- | $27.00 | $21.47 | $11.35 | $22.98
MH3U | $3.00 | ^^^^. $2.62 | $4.95 | $5.97
Sm4sh | $23.00 | $23.51 | $11.75 | $23.49
Splatoon | $23.00 | $29.96 | $23.75 | $21.36
SM3DW | $17.00 | $18.76 | $11.75 | $21.00
NSMBU | $14.00 | $20.04 | $8.10 | $12.57
I understand that you want to spend only $107.20 on 7 games but folks can get $162.65 if they shop around for the best values for their games. That being said the best prices I can find are:
That comes to $254.95 which looks to be a bit more than you wanted to pay. Unfortunate for you that Target just had a B2G1 free on video games the previous week. Basically made all games 33% off. Aside from eBay and Craigslist, those are the best prices I can find on these items at the moment.

I'm going to be moving out of my parents house soon as they are PCSing next summer and I can't go with them, and I won't be able to take their Wii U with me. I've put a lot into DLC for Smash 4 and a few other games, and I've dedicated a good chunk of my last year to Sm4sh, but I don't have the money for one right now due to car payments and college debt and insurance and the like, and if I don't get one within this year I won't ever get one because I won't be able to transfer my saves and DLC data. Any of the bundles on Amazon would be good, but this one would be best because it includes two games so you get more for less.
I am impressed by your generosity and want to thank you very much, even if my request is not chosen to be fulfilled.
> Free to play? But isnt it like $30
Nope, but I meant free to play online.
> also I own a xbox 360 with bo2, Ghosts, and Advanced warfare. I really want to try it on the wiiu and see the difference
Well, you have to pay for XBOX Live on that, so maybe you see what I meant by "free to play online". Anyway, BO2 will look almost exactly the same, maybe a LITTLE bit better, with better loading times, but there are still graphical issues that only a corporate developer could ship with.
The main difference is the GamePad and split screen play.
From the eshop, Runner 2 is a lot of fun. It's sort of a hybrid between a rhythm game and a sidescroller. Also I've heard good things about Trine 2. I've played Trine 1, which was awesome, and the sequel also supports 3-player co-op.
As for physical games, New Super Mario Bros is a must (as long as you like Mario platformers). Need For Speed: Most Wanted is a really fun racing game, and I think it's the best-looking Wii U game out right now. Sonic All-Stars Racing is good if you're looking for something like Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing (your car transforms into a plane or boat during races). I've only played the demo, but I have the full game coming in the mail.
Speaking of which, Amazon has a sale on pretty much every Wii U game right now. For the ones I mentioned:
It's buried deep, but it's there in the "special offers and product promotions" section: https://www.amazon.com/Legend-Zelda-Breath-Wild-Wii/dp/B00LCHZRIK/That said, amazon support is usually really good, and this guy seemed to be going off a script pretty hard. Hopefully it'll get sorted after the escalation.
edit: I looked again, and that's a wii u LP I linked. /u/Shini-tan is right. You're probably out of luck.
Zombie U - $14.99 (has been as low as $9.99 before at Best Buy)
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge - $16.95
Wonderful 101 - $23.59
Pikmin 3 Digital Code - $15 - $25
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - $14.95
Tekken Tag Tournament - $19.99
That right there will put you at about $105. You can really only find Pikmin 3 cheap by looking on eBay for those selling the free codes that came from Mario Kart 8. DKC is still generally full MSRP and I don't think I've ever seen Lego City Under Cover cheaper than $30 new. I know I've seen some of these listed games on sale for $9.99 new before (Ninja Gaiden, Tekken Tag, COD:Blops 2, Zombi U) and for sure I've seen them used at that price through GameFly (case, manual and discs usually come in excellent condition) Hope this helps
Oh yeah and Best Buy price matches Amazon (I believe Wal-mart does too) so you could go to a store, or order online (will require some customer service help) and price match the items so you can grab them from the same store.
>However, if you go to Target, they are selling the New Super Mario Bros U + Luigi U Wii U bundle for 299.99 plus a $25.00 gift card. You can get Target to price match Best Buy (274.99) and still receive Target's gift card, meaning you pay $250.00 and get two games instead of one.
Luigi U $30 or $16 used
New Super Mario Bros. U $30-$40 new or $20 used
A refurbished Nintendo is $200.
If I buy the bundle at a local Target then the taxes alone will wipe out any incentive for the bundle.
Maybe I am way off here. Would love your input.
Yea I figured it was either it worked after cleaning it up or Id have to replace it. I just couldnt understand how the hell there was so much liquid without it frying everything. Problem is, I dont know if I messed up anything else during teardown so buying a new LCD is questionable to me lol. I have confidence in my skill but otherwise anything could happen and I dont want to spend money for no reason. Really wish the gamepads werent so damn expensive.
Edit: I was considering this kit. Good reviews and apparently good customer service and Amazon. Could even Prime it to get to testing faster lol. https://www.amazon.com/YTTL%C2%AE-Replacement-Screen-Digitizer-GamePad-U/dp/B00WFUQZMK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1537826096&sr=8-2&keywords=wii+u+screen+replacement&dpID=41iaC%252B4qCVL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
Edit 2: The console was a refurb from Gamestop that someone owned and then sold to me. I got my money back but also offered to try and fix it. They were okay with that but after letting them know the issue they arent sure if they want it back. They say I can take it for $25 if I want since the console itself is fine but again a good screen kit is like $25-$30.
What bundle you getting? The Refurbished Wii U Bundle With nintendoland (200$) is a great deal btw. Nintendoland is fantastic for groups. It DOES require wii remotes however. You can get a bunch of wii remotes and that will cover you for basically everything. They can be used for Wii U games and Wii games. Refurbished Wii Remote+ with Nunchuck are available for 25$ each.
Pro controllers are optional, and only work with Wii U games. They are a bit more on the pricey side, at 45$ at the cheapest unless you get used.
Mario Kart 8 or Super Mario 3D World would be great to start with for groups. Mario Kart 8 does do split screen, and with four players it can be hard to see if you have a smaller tv. Between those two, nintendoland, and smash that will keep you occupied for parties for quite awhile.
It appears that Gamestop doesn't stock them anymore? Not really sure. I remember it was really hard to get the one with the Power Tag for a while after someone advertised they were $15 on sale at Gamestop. Now it's normal to see them for $30-55. Perhaps Nintendo gave them a cease and desist and they stopped manufacturing the power tag? I don't know what the deal is.
Here's an amazon link, but some people appear to be receiving the version without the power tag, while others are getting the good one. It also appears that people are selling the power tag individually on eBay as well so maybe get a power tag from there as well as the version without the tag to ensure you get 100% what you need? Idk. All I know is that it's perfect for what it does.

Ah ok, thanks for the clarification. I can't speak for the quality of this skin as I don't have it, but it looks close to the Apple White. Maybe that would work? If not, this is the best deal on Amazon new I could find.
Edit: This Basic Wii U comes with Mario Kart 8 for free.
I understand what you mean, and I'm not going to pitchfork you. Here are some games that I think a 9 year old would like, and ones that I enjoy as well.
Any Legend of Zelda and Mario ones are good too.
I think it's great that not only is it just coming out for the Wii U which could potentially draw in Bayonetta fans to Nintendo. Also, if you look on amazon, I just noticed: it comes with a free copy of the original game! That's friggin awesome! http://www.amazon.com/Bayonetta-2-Nintendo-Wii-U/dp/B00DC7G1WE/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_cp_2_5C6P?ie=UTF8&refRID=06KFS3PCPCVHYWB3R77X
>I wish I was able to charge the gamepad using the system itself.
3rd party option or this
> hooking up a sensor bar and trying to use that on the plane is a bit.. untenable
Hold B while starting up the Wii U, you will go straight to Wii mode without needing to select anything using a wii mote, then the gamepad has a built in sensor bar (around the camera), so you can use motion controls with just the gamepad - no sensor bar required. You can also order a classic controller pro, wii classic controller, mayflash adapter with a gamecube controller, or a knock off - all of which plug directly in to a Wii mote, but let you play with a more standard control option.
>I can't wait for this (if it's still true)! I'd love playing Mario Kart 8 with my wife when we're without a TV.
Just get 2 other controllers and switch the gamepad to display the race instead of the race/map/horn/items etc. then it's just a tiny TV
Your unlikely to find a Deluxe version for less then $300. However, there's the Skylanders Swapforce Bundle with the White 8 GB model of the WiiU, but by the time you add a decently sized SD card you might as well pickup the Super Mario 3D World bundle for $305.

I have found a great alternative to the official Rocketfish Wii U bag, if you can find one at Marshalls or TJ Maxx it should cost around $25 (unfortunately $55 on Amazon), and I also picked up the Gamepad controller protector on Amazon for $15. This combo works really well together, and you can fit all necessary components, as well as 10+ games and 4 Wii controllers easy!

> As long as I can get the actual games for a reasonable price and they aren't over $60, its essentially the same for me.
From that perspective, you are much better off with a Wii U. The benefit of being behind the curve a little bit is that everything has its price reduced. You should look into the NIntendo Selects line of games. These are popular, best sellers that were popular enough to have a second release, but the second time around they only cost $19.99 or less instead of $50 or $60. Not every game is available as a Nintendo Select, but many of the good ones are.
I recently bought a refurbished Wii U that didn't come with any games. Then, I bought Super Mario 3D World for cheap. You mentioned Wind Waker, and it is available as a Nintendo Select. So is Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. I believe that all of these games were originally $50-$60.
I don't think Yoshi's Woolly World is, but it is at least available a little cheaper and with an included Amiibo. I haven't been able to find Mario Kart for very cheap, though.
This is the exact screen replacement I used and can confirm through these photos and experience that it works: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WFUQZMK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Edit: Here's the guide I used for disassembly: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Wii+U+GamePad+LCD+Display+Replacement/57152

It's like $28 with prime shipping. Can't go wrong.

I bought my WiiU when it first came out and was hard to find. Last year, my toddler got angry, threw the gamepad and cracked the screen. The replacement was around $30 at the time and it looks SO much better than the original screen. It's so crisp and vibrant compared to the original and I swear it may even be more power efficient over the 6+ year screen tech originally in the gamepad.

So, here are my two tips:
Went to check which one I got when I got the Zelda Wii U.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009UONG26/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Although it seems pretty scarce now. It was exactly what I wanted when I ordered.
It only adds a little bulk, but about 6 months ago I took it off and have really enjoyed using it without the case.
The decals still haven't shown any wear even since playing bare, though I do put it on when children are playing !
Once upon a time, in the land of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach was kidnapped by Bowser for the millionth time. Mario decided there was no time to waste, and thought of the fastest way to save the beloved princess. After conferring with Luigi, he decided that 2D platforming took less time while still being great fun, and so he set off, on his adventure to save the princess, and beat back the evil Koopa family. Luigi, feeling he could do it faster, set out on his own quest to do the same.
I use a usb cable because of the original power supply's tendency to break easily (2 of mine did)... It works absolutely fine, it just charges slower but that's not a problem for me. I haven't tried using a wall adapter with it, though, I just plug it into my computer.
Edit: this is the one I got.
Edit2: If anyone could figure out the power output of the original adapter VS one for an iPad etc. that'd be helpful, electrical stuff gives me a headache so I haven't bothered
Get what ever ones your comfortable with getting, I’ve seen multiple versions for sale some look really cheap, others while costing more look more like a legit product.
Usually most sets now come with 23 cards.
Here are the ones I was looking at recent so I don’t need to open the amiibo I own or keep messing with my Power Tag from the picture those look much better then some I’ve come across
The product link is dead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LCHZRIK/
My pre-order still exists but the shipping date changed from "March 3rd" to:
"Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date."
I'm hoping this is just a temporary glitch and not indicative of a cancellation.
EDIT: Also looks like the Switch physical version is missing as well. Maybe the physical stock is delayed and they're assessing release date delivery availability. I'm curious if anyone with pre-ordered Switch copies got an email about this.
Here this is what I bought as a replacement and it works great. Just follow the iFixit article and you should be able to replace it pretty quickly. Just make sure to watch for the small ribbons.
King Dedede is on amazon (assuming you are in the US) for a decent price with prime shipping
King Dedede - Kirby Series 11.99
King Dedede - Smash Series 16.82
DK will probably be a bit pricier
Play Asia - DK Mario Series 19.99 + shipping
I would suggest trying your luck on ebay (That's how I got mine after my original one got damaged), or on facebook marketplace and see if someone is selling their collection cheap near you. Be wary of googling amiibo, if you something that looks to be like a great deal [like finding a DK amiibo for 9.99 in stock where everywhere else it's over $25] it could be a scam site!
I got the Tomee one as well. It works pretty great. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ATJIOTG/
I personally got the PDP Silicon Jacket + Tomee Carrying Case + Hori Screen Protector and have been reasonably happy with the combination of the 3. The quality of PDP jacket does seem to be a bit inconsistent from the Amazon reviews, but a few people have posted tips on there about getting it to fit better. If it seems absolutely terrible, maybe you should just return it though?
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Wii-Deluxe-Set-Bundle-U/dp/B00MVUKM0A/
Best deal. You get two great games and it's standard retail price.

Unlockable Bayonetta fighter! I hear good things and I'd love to try it!
Do you know where I can find the hard case? I've been looking all over and this hybrid cover is the only thing coming up.
Ideally, I want something like this Hori one I got for my WiiU which has been fantastic so far.
No, it's in the living room/TV area but we live in an apartment, which isn't small, but the living room is next to the bedroom. No issues whatsover. It does cut off if I'm in the other room which is further away from the living room.
My other tips regarding the Gamepad would be to buy a storage case like this, this awesome screen protector which has the best application processes I have ever seen and maybe extra styluses, though I haven't done that. The case and screen protector will help a lot against dust and scuffs.
I am sure you've looked into Wii U data storage options?
EDIT: The screen protector seems to be out of stock for now. You can look for a different one but I can only vouch for that one because I use it.
Haha well I'm not sure if it does during the free trial actually. But check this https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00LCHZRIK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VlyHybEZC7EB1 add it to your cart and get to the final checkout part and see what the price is.

You can get those Wii U pro controllers on amazon for $46 http://www.amazon.com/Wii-PRO-controller-black-WUP---RSKA/dp/B009AP23NI/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1419431359&sr=1-2&keywords=wii+u+pro

I just did this yesterday. I also got Mario Kart 8 for $36 and Wind Waker for $30. Thanks Sears and Reddit for sharing this information.
amazon.ca has a similar deal until the 27th, but it is with the super mario 3d land bundle. you can also choose donkey kong tropical freeze instead of windwaker
This hori one is what I got about a year ago. It should be less than $15, I don't know why it's so high right now. I wish it was TPU like my 3DS one but it's alright. Edit: Hori Luigi version if you frequent target.com, otherwise amazon has it for a few $ more.
I got the Amazon Basics Camera Back Pack and it holds it all.http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-DSLR-Laptop-Backpack-interior/dp/B00CF5OGP8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1427151907&sr=8-2&keywords=amazon+basics+camera+backpack
I also got the Tomee GamePad case to protect it while in the backpack. http://www.amazon.com/Tomee-Wii-Protective-GamePad-Nintendo-U/dp/B00ATJIOTG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427151953&sr=8-1&keywords=tomee+gamepad+case
I'm a little OCD and also got myself spare GP and WiiU power transformers so I don't need to disconnect any power behind the entertainment center
Looks like OP got the 3DS ones updated. Here's some for the Wii U:
Splatoon - $35 - https://www.amazon.com/Splatoon/dp/B00KWFCV32/
Super Smash Bros. - $35 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DD0B0BM/
Pokken Tournament - $35 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DD0B0BM/
One more question for you: is the screen protector different than just a screen filter?
I'm assuming you mean this:

But does that cover the screen as well? Or do I need to also purchase one of these:

Yeah, I hate the price on controllers, but right now, you probably wont find the Pro for much less than $50. Xbone and PS4 controllers are like $60.
I just looked on Amazon, and you can get this one for $43
You could always buy the cheaper 3rd party controllers, but I personally don't trust the reliability.

I probably wasn't gonna use Amazon.jp, just listings like this or this with Prime shipping to get the ones I want at just a slight markup (or in the latter case, a slight discount compared to MSRP). Thanks for showing me amiami!
Someone in a different thread recommended this:

Cheaper and works great.
Mario 3D World Deluxe Bundle was the best deal I could find for $359 on amazon.
When I bought it on black friday.

Amazon has a Japanese one for $17. Im sure you can probably fond cheaper.
King Dedede amiibo - Japan Import (Super Smash Bros Series) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PIEHU74/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zjZByb1MEFDNM
I used the one that came out with Super Smash Bros 4, here!
And Amazon here. :p
According to Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DC7G1WE/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_gLejub0N5SZ51) the standard edition comes with the first one as well. :)
(Sorry I can't link properly, on mobile)
Edit: See product image
For console you can get it for pretty cheap on ps3 - brand new it's less than $20
You can also get it for the wii u with bayonetta 2 but that is way more expensive it looks like - amazon link
If you want it bad enough and your brother is an out of box collector, you can get an import for as cheap as ~$16 which is plenty reasonable for a rare amiibo.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PIEHU74/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_CnGBwbTSC4FJF
Amiibo aren't region locked so it shouldn't matter that it's Japanese if he's gonna open it and use it. If it has to have the US box however then he's hard to find cheaper than $35.
Good luck in your search and Merry Christmas.
How will I know for sure if I need the LCD screen as well? I came across them on Amazon as a bundle.

Oh yeah, because nobody liked Bayonetta. It was so horribly received. I mean, can you imagine if a major game reviewer gave the game only one of eight perfect scores in the entire history of the publication? What a travesty that would have been, huh?
I'm saving for New Super Mario Bros. U As well as some other Wii U games.
I got my Wii U almost a year ago, but never got around to getting any games other than Nintendo Land, which I've honestly grown bored of. Saving Private Ryan.

17 bucks. Save the time and worrying and get it before Christmas. Waiting for that pre-order to be honored does not seem worth it
As someone who works for GameStop, I am well aware of how scarce Amiibo can be, and I definitely agree it's a shame Nintendo doesn't make more. There is something called Replay Power Saves that I bought for cheap. It's an amiibo chip that's rewritable, and you can download any amiibo to the chip. You don't get the cool figurine, but you do get all of its benefits.

If you like action games (DMC, bayonetta, MGSR) check out The Wonderful 101. Youtube videos explaining the game are here.
I have a Hori screen protector for my gamepad. If you have the charge cradle, I'd wait and see on a bigger battery – Nintendo sells an official high capacity battery, but I don't see the need for it unless you have 4+ hour gaming sessions.
90?! lol, get yourself a powersave and be done with this crap.
Amazon will pay you money to advertise their products. you can read more on this at this page.
Notice the URLs he posts. Amazon keeps track of which user refereed the product by giving them unique urls with a reference code.
If he was just a normal person who thought they had a deal, he would have posted the normal URL:
http://www.amazon.com/Call-Duty-Black-Ops-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002I0GD06/
But instead he is posting this:
http://www.amazon.com/Call-Duty-Black-Ops-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002I0GD06/ref=zg_bsms_videogames_5
There is ref=something on every single link he posted.
That would actually be in your favor slightly. Star Fox Zero is less than 30$ brand new and including Guard on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ZRZTT3W/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473686805&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=star+fox+zero&dpPl=1&dpID=615p2ckXHyL&ref=plSrch
$10.57 with free Prime shipping on Amazon.
A second post from me, a 5 port usb charging hub, $12usd.
That one is just the best selling one on Amazon, you can probably find one for cheaper. But it charges anything that normally charges off of usb; iPads, iPhones, android smartphones, PS Vitas, the Nintendo 3ds/xl and the WiiU gamepad if you can get the cables, etc. Who doesn't have a plethora of stuff that can charge off of usb these days anyways.
Wonder Red pretty much already has the Kamina glasses.
This thing looks pretty cool
I just ordered one. I'll try to remember to let you know if it works out or not.

There you go friend.
Not that I've seen. But there are devices you can buy that will save amiibo data onto blank "amiibo" discs/power tags
Datel Action Replay PowerSaves Includes POWERTAGS for Amiibo Characters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XVL11SF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UN-6Cb6WWFAEJ
This is a really good deal, $295 with Mario 3D & Nintendo Land:
http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Wii-Deluxe-Set-Bundle-3ds/dp/B00MVUKM0A/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1422136035&sr=1-1&keywords=wii+u+bundle
-- only maybe $20-$30 more expensive than refurbished, and you get something that's brand new & ships right away.
Amiibos would be very good. If you don't know what they are,
http://www.amazon.com/Link-amiibo-nintendo-wii-u/dp/B00N4ABVOM
No one end is the port that will fit into the gamepad and the other is just USB. So it will fit into any usb port
http://www.amazon.com/Tomee-Wii-U-Charge-GamePad-Nintendo/dp/B00ARMQ7VM
so if I use that I can plug it into this

this game better be worth it nintendo.... december 29 2017!!!!!! LOZ :BOW
No no no no dudes, that's a placeholder date.
You're right that it's the last day of Q1, but that's the exact reason why Amazon gives that date because the official date hasn't been announced yet.
Look at Story of Seasons, Bayonetta 2 or Xenoblade X. The year they'll be released is known but since they don't have an official date, they are listed as December 31. This is the case with MH4U. They know that it'll be released Q1, 2015 hence they set the date on the final day of Q1 just to be safe.
Its on Amazon with the original Bayonetta.

You are talking about the Wii classic Pro. You should look into the Wii U Pro controller. No squeezy triggers, much better compatibility with Mayflash (from what I have heard).
I've got some good news for you

That should answer you question. Thanks to BotW EVERY Zelda amiibo is uncommon to unicorn, mostly unicorn.

I purchased used from Amazon: Bayonetta 2 - Nintendo Wii U https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DC7G1WE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Fy9vyb2WDYP79
I got both discs in perfect condition. A bit pricey at $42 but it's two games.

You sure? I've been following this for the last few days (Mine still says delivering on Friday, March 3), and now you can even pre-order the Wii U physical version for delivery on March 3 again: https://www.amazon.com/Legend-Zelda-Breath-Wild-Wii/dp/B00LCHZRIK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488225218&sr=8-1&keywords=breath+of+the+wild
I have one of these. It's a LOT cheaper, and it should give you more battery life than the high-capacity battery, to boot: http://www.amazon.com/Uboost-Wii-U-Nintendo/dp/B009Q5XGO2
Plus, you can use it to keep your screen brightness on max without being plugged in.
Have you looked at something like this: Uboost for Wii U by Nyko http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009Q5XGO2/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_8i8htb1MBSQPE
Looks like it is 50% off to me
Sounds like you paid in US dollars, which are not the world's only dollars.
It's not just the ports. I was reading again about Star Fox on the WiiU. Some people loved it, a lot of people hated it.
well, it is currently $14.24 new on Amazon, so I figured I'd try it for myself & decide :D
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZRZTT3W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Your previous comments made it sound like you wouldn’t buy the game at all just because it’s not available digitally, despite the fact that you can still get DKCTF for $30 CAD.. If the price is the only thing keeping you from buying the game, that’s obviously a non-issue.
http://www.amazon.com/amiibo-Dedede-DESIGN-1/dp/B00PIEHU74/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1425595213&sr=1-1&keywords=king+dedede
With Prime too. :-)
Not necessarily. It's hard to determine from just a single picture of a single item, but look at the symmetry and consistency of the item. It's more expensive than it seems for small plastic figures to have precision with really small amounts of error in placement and proportion. The plastic also seems at least decent quality; compare that to Nintendo's amiibos. The plastic, painting, the small shape chiseling, and consistency all look cheap, and this is almost $30. Granted it's more than just a figure, but you get the idea. Just because a figure is simple in design doesn't mean it's cheap. Nendoroids are really high quality figures with good consistency, detail, and plastic, but they're $30-50 bucks for a reason.
Bootlegs seem close at first glance, but their plastic quality, precision, and QA suffer because they're cheaper. It's really easy to tell a bootleg apart from the real thing, and they break quickly because of the plastic.
Are you in the US?
A quick Amazon search pulled these up:

I don't know if it changed recently but I'm seeing the normal version of B2 on Amazon including the 1st.
See
edit: I see that's why they upgraded them, apparently there was some confusion involved with B1 being advertised in the original edition. I found an explanation in this article.
Risk a Japanese Dedede here: http://www.amazon.com/amiibo-Dedede-DESIGN-1/dp/B00PIEHU74/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449862202&sr=8-1&keywords=dedede
As of 12.11.15, hes 15.60 with free shipping
Works for star fox zero as well: http://www.amazon.com/StarFox-Zero-Wii-U/dp/B00ZRZTT3W
Are these not officially being sold by Nintendo through Amazon? Or do you mean that they don't do console pre-orders?Edit: Nvm.
What is the condition? Bayonetta 2 is going for nearly $70 used on Amazon at the moment. Fire Emblem: Awakening goes for around $23 used, or $38 new. I want to do as even a trade as possible.
The wii u pro controller is actually only 42.50 right now.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009AP23NI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And even if it was 60 its still worth it. The battery on this thing can last months.
I bought this instead. It's been working great for me. When your battery is running low just hit the button on the pack and it plays and charges at the same time. You can put it on the docking station too and it charges both the pack and the game pad.

It's fine right now
Let's you buy digital and says their out of stock for physical.
I don't get it, I see plenty of them at a decent price on both Amazon and the usual import sites:
Cheapest I've seen the pro controller is $40. Right now there are Japanese versions for it (that also work on NA consoles per the reviews) going for ~$43 on Amazon
Nintendo Wii U Pro U Controller (Japanese Version), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009AP23NI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ID-OybARREXNZ
And it's on sale for $15 on Amazon
Bayonetta 2 - Nintendo Wii U https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DC7G1WE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_gQaKwb1P9RT58
Amazon will have this back in stock January 11th if you can stomach the price.
It's $234+Prime on Amazon currently.

Amazon says december though

Smash link is used on amazon for $11 from three sellers right now
edit: had to fix the Link
If you really need SSB Dedede, he goes for about $15, or a little over retail, on Amazon. I even hear Japanese Samurai Seller is reputable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ol/B00PIEHU74/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=all

Here King Dedede for 27.00$ if you have amazon prime
Amazon has it for slightly less. https://www.amazon.com/Star-Fox-Zero-Guard-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B00ZRZTT3W/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1466055526&sr=1-1&keywords=starfox
I'm not hating, it's just a concern I had. The ones available for preorder have SSB labeling on them.

I got a hori plastic case, it seems fine so far. I should have got a screen protector though because there are a ton of light scratches on my gamepad but you can only see them if you tilt it in direct light.

It seems to be out of stock right now...
Looks like the low price is $28 for new with prices down under half that for used copies.
Hey, i do in fact still have that copy of Tropical Freeze, but just a heads up. They recently lowered the price of DK and several others to just $20.00, so i'd recommend getting it brand new. Here's an amazon link http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Selects-Country-Tropical-Wii-U/dp/B01AC3ZGRG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459461132&sr=8-1&keywords=tropical+freeze
I was actually looking at this one on Amazon but I think it's the same thing.
No prob. . .this is the one I'm talking about- http://www.amazon.com/Wii-U-PRO-controller-black-WUP-A-RSKA/dp/B009AP23NI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407021918&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+u+pro+controller
It looks like the price has gone up since I bought it though : /
That very well may be - I was just explaining the point the OP was trying to make.
In fact I'm inclined to agree with you. For example, the Amazon price history of Star Fox Zero shows that Star Fox Zero, a title that was not well received and sold terribly, was being sold for under $35 3 months after release.
It seems that Nintendo titles do get discounted, but only if they sell poorly.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II for the Wii U.
Target currently has the genuine Nintendo pro controller for $41.99 or you can get a Japanese Import one on [Amazon] (https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Wii-Controller-Japanese-Version-Black/dp/B009AP23NI/ref=sr_1_5?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1482789261&sr=1-5&keywords=wii+u+pro+controller#customerReviews) for $42.90 (It's just the same as a US one but the instructions are in Japanese).
Alternatively you could get a [Wii classic controller] (https://www.amazon.com/Wii-Classic-Controller-Pro-Japanese-Version/dp/B002C1AUP0/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1482789583&sr=1-3&keywords=wii+classic+controller) and attach it to your wiimote as you do the nunchuk.
