I'm a little of a coffee snob myself. I moved on from traditional coffee a few years ago in favor of espresso, specifcally 'Americanos' which is simply espresso and water (I'm sure there are different versions of this, but when I say Americano that's what I'm talking about). At Starbucks you'll end up paying over $3 for a grande, which is unnecessary. So I spent the few hundred on an espresso machine and haven't looked back. Americano's are easy to make, super caffeinated and incredibly rich and tasty. What you'll need and how I make mine below:
How I make my morning coffee:
I put a kettle on the stove of fresh, filtered water and begin to boil. Preheat my espresso machine. I make four shots of espresso (this lasts me till noon usually). I use syrup for my sugar and flavor, specifically Torani, they have a great selection with no need to add additional sweeteners. They also come in sugarfree varieties. Put that at the bottom of your mug (or travel mug). Add the shots. Pour the hot water into the shots - this goes more or less by taste. For me, I use a little less water because I'm a coffee-fiend, but you can go as high as 1:2 at first, until you acquire the taste. I then add non-dairy creamer, for a) less lactose and b) it generally makes it creamier, which yes - is odd. Substitute with skim milk, 1/2 and 1/2 or nothing at all.
Lastly - enjoy! Thats some good coffee you got there. I'm not a chugger - my four shots last me a large portion of the day by keeping me going with sips for hours. It's a bit pricey and a little more involved than your regular coffee - and you can totally get by with espresso K-cups and your water coolers hot water to make the whole process much easier, but likely far less delicious. Also - trial and error is a big factor in making it the way I detail above. How much espresso to use, how much pressure you apply when you tamp it, how much hot water - all a matter of taste and trial. Do it enough times and you'll have the whole thing done in five minutes easily.
A note of caution: don't let anyone try it. They will have you be the office barista before you can say ERROR IN DRIVE BAY 0.
I can tell you from personal experience that Torani syrups was a game-changer for me. I use Rich Chocolate keto chow almost exclusively (and love it as it is, but wanted more variety), so anything that goes with chocolate has been awesome.
I started with sugar-free Vanilla, Caramel and Raspberry syrups. All of them are awesome (Caramel is my new daily "breakfast" shake and Raspberry is my "lunch shake"), and because they work so well, I just ordered Orange, Black Cherry and Peppermint. The Peppermint works very well and the Black Cherry is subtle without being overwhelming. For measure, I'm using two pumps per 28oz Blender Bottle.
Pumps I use: here
Syrups I use:
Vanilla - Caramel - Raspberry
Peppermint - Black Cherry - Orange
Also, it really helps to let the shakes sit overnight in the fridge before consuming to ease up on the saltiness. That seems to "mellow" them quite a bit for me. Pull one out after chilling overnight, pump your Torani into it, shake shake shake and enjoy.
As always, your mileage may vary, but I've had great success with the Torani syrups. How I didn't think of this months ago, I dunno, but I wish I had!
I’m late to comment on this, but DaVinci makes a sugar free syrup that is coffee liquor flavor. I put a splash of that in my keto White Russians and it’s perfect! (They also make a B-52 flavor, Irish Cream, Amaretto, Butter rum, plus fruity ones). Pretty much add to vodka and make any keto drink your heart desires!

Sometimes if I really am craving something sweet, I'll put a teaspoon of honey in my greek yogurt. It's good.
Also, I love Arctic Zero ice cream in the summer. Coffee flavor's my favorite but all the ones I've tried are good.
When my boyfriend started doing low carb, we got some of this. It's versatile (in coffee or smoothies, on stuff) and you can even make some pretty good cheesecake out of it and use it in other recipes. They have lots of sugar free flavors.
If you're cool with artificial sweetener, these are what do it for me:
0 calorie coffee flavors: a tiny splash of something like this makes my afternoon coffee a lot more fun. Couple it with a couple tablespoons of milk, tasty beverage for only a few calories, depending on the type of milk used. (Plain, unsweetened unflavored almond milk is 30 calories per cup)
I'll also make my own skinny lattes with a cup of almond milk, top off my travel mug with water, a small splash of vanilla, and some splenda. Stir and heat it up. Works out to 30 calories, which is a pretty good deal for what I get out of it.
Drink flavors like this are also worth keeping in my desk - instead of yet another bottle of plain water, I'll do this a couple times a week for variety.
If you don't like artificial sweetener, I'd say add a bit of cinnamon/vanilla to your coffee, and also try flavored sparkling water like Perrier makes.

I've had some recently. It pretty much tastes like an iced extra/extra coffee that your friend loves so much.
Here, have you tried these before? I used the hazelnut syrup for a long time, and it really puts a good punch of flavor in it. I would check Burlington Coat Factory or Tuesday Morning, it's where I picked these syrups up at. Bonus benefit is that it's zero carbs and of course, sugar free. They were about $4.99 in store.
I really enjoy sugar free syrups! I recently got the English Toffee Torani and it’s delicious. I do 30ml of that and 30ml of heavy cream in my 24oz coffee mug every morning. 110 calories, but the cream makes it feel super decadent and very filling.
Ora plus is just a liquid you can buy on amazon, they probably use it in senior citizen homes to give them medicine lol. So you buy that for 15 bucks or whatever, and a 1ml dropper bottle for another 10 bucks or so, weigh the powder on a scale into whatever, pour 30ml into the dropper bottle then funnel in the powder with a paper cone or whatever, then shake the shit out of it!

I've been making non-alcoholic mixed drinks, and it satisfies several urges.
Recipe: 1 ounce lemon juice, 1/4 ounce sugar free raspberry Torani syrup, and fill the glass with sparkling water.
The lemon and carbonated water give it a little bit of a bite. The process of mixing it satisfies the same urge as making a margarita or something. And I drink more water.
Ah sorry yeah I just linked those as a quick reference, this is an example of their branded sugar-free syrups. Anyway, the link was pretty helpful, it just confirmed to me that they don't have the sugar-free kind available. Thanks!
Hello Chris,
First, welcome to this awesome sub!
Second, I have been looking for someone who lives in France for awhile now because I love trying all sorts of new foods and, back in February, I ordered a bottle of this mint stuff from France. I think it tastes like mouthwash but wanted to know if any of their other flavors are good before I try again(?)
Not source talk, no. I use ora sweet to make the combo palatable. Put a little ora plus in the bottle, put in the powder, fill the vial to 3/4 full with ora plus, shake it to get the powder in suspension, fill the remaining area with ora sweet, shake, good to go.
http://www.amazon.com/Ora-Plus-Oral-Suspending-Vehicle-Paddock/dp/B000GGHSQM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451185770&sr=8-1&keywords=ora+plus

I like to put tea bags in my water when I'm not feeling like drinking water! I like stash's raspberry hibiscus or Moroccan mint.
Also, flavored syrups are great and can be low calorie! Something like this.
I did PB2 in the boil (last 5 min) and had trouble with fermentation because of the oils.
I've tried the secondary and wasn't impressed with the flavor.
I've tried in the Keg and clogged my Keg up bad.
Last time I brewed with peanut butter I used imitation Peanut Butter flavoring (2 oz per 5 gallon) in the secondary and had great success. Best peanut butter flavor yet, very pronounced.
Next time I am going to try a torani Syrup because it was given to me as a gift and I need to use it.
Cash-n-Carry is place for business to shop. Costco or another store based around providing for restaurants/bars should also have it. Not sure about that store because we don't have them where I live. Walmart might also have something like this just because they try to have 1 of everything. Remember that the syrup hasn't been mixed with the carbonated soda yet so it will be super strong. Here is AN example of what you are looking for.
Dr. Pepper
You might like this! I bought it but I haven't actually tasted it yet. Worth a shot though, it's pretty cheap!
I went through a huge tonic tasting phase the previous few years. Of the Fever Tree options, I actually prefer their Naturally Light Indian Tonic Water over their standard [Indian] Tonic Water. Less cloying and sugary, so the flavor doesn't overpower the taste of the gin. Not a huge fan of their Mediterranean (probably works better with vodka).
Of all the available tonic syrups that I could find, this guy Bradley that sold his own small batch (originally through Kickstarter) was my favorite: http://www.amazon.com/Bradleys-Kina-Tonic/dp/B00GCW8LQK
I find that the tonic syrup makers play around more with the spice flavors that the tonic bottlers.
What are you using it for? If you're just wanting the flavor and don't need the bulk, there's a sugar-free peanut butter syrup made by Torani you might try. https://smile.amazon.com/Torani-Sugar-Peanut-Butter-Syrup/dp/B001J11HR4
It's okay in drinks. A ringing endorsement, I know. Nothing's as good as real natural peanut butter.
Congrats! And... what exactly is Seleção?
I've been meaning to get something to make my coffee taste yummier. I think this Starbucks syrup would make my mornings happier.
World is full of phalluses. You shouldn't have to look very far.
Household items that come to mind:
Good luck! Get yer Kink On!
they're on Amazon - but are they worth the extra cost? I have the DaVinci sugar free syrup which has sucralose but not malodextrin
Try this and go for a medium roast. The flavor will be noticeably improved. Don't ever try this with a flavored coffee or a light roast.
Don't use cold water, make it room temp and filtered. It must be filtered or the flavor of your water will overpower the coffee taste. I don't know why, it just does, trust me. When it steeps leave it at room temp for 14 to 16 hours. This I have found is the ideal time range for the perfect flavor. Remove the Nut Milk Bag ,if you happen to get one, and then refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
Then after the brew is chilled you will want to filter the liquid through a filter. I actually use cotton t-shirts to filter the coffee back and forth between two jars a couple times. I actually thought about using a silt filter to filter out the silt. Maybe I'll try it again some day when I have the time too.
If you ever want to try cold brew without having to go through this process try this. Because I can't drink hot coffee anymore because I realize how horrible it tastes. Bring on the hate mail.
Gradys cold brew bags in the fridge and toriani sugar free syrups do it for me

Jack and diet coke. Gin and soda.
Anyone a white russian fan and try the Kahlua SUGAR FREE Da Vinci Syrup? It's zero carbs and I was thinking about trying it out at home. Maybe I should just use a bit of espresso instead?
Thanks! Do you think the sweetened (sugar free) version is also safe for keto?

Its coffee flavored and delicious. You just squeeze it in your glass of milk. Its concentrate, so it doesnt take much! Heres an Amazon link..
AUTOCRAT COFFEE SYRUP COFFEE, 32 OZ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002BQLI2/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awd_x_EWOgybPXWZKDW
I can't deal with the trash issue of K cups - so damn much packaging for so damn little coffee. But go to Amazon and look at this: [non-sugar coffee flavor sweeteners] (http://www.amazon.com/Torani-Sugar-English-Toffee-Splenda/dp/B000AXQI0I/ref=sr_1_45?ie=UTF8&qid=1371390256&sr=8-45&keywords=syrup+cocktail). And cream (no cartbs there but it's great!) and you've got your tastey and sweet coffee beverage.
It's not canned, but my super-picky wife enjoys SodaStream's Dr. Pete.
I let it age in secondary for about 2 months. Did a taste test today and it was fantastic. The vanilla bean was hardly noticeable, so I backsweetened with this -
https://www.amazon.com/Torani%C2%AE-Vanilla-Syrup-750-25-4/dp/B000AXWA0A/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1541595577&sr=8-5&keywords=vanilla+flavoring

It worked really well!

I do have a concern though. Once I pulled all my wine into my bucket for bottling, I couldn't find my stabilizer. I used sodium metabisulfite to help kill the yeast that was there, but if there is any alive I don't have the stabilizer to prevent re-fermentation. What are the chances that could happen here? Letting it sit in secondary for ~3 months total, and siphoning off all the lees I wouldn't expect it to cause trouble. Thoughts?
Autocrat. Hands-down. If you're able to get Autocrat coffee syrup then that's the one you wanna get! The link above leads you to Amazon, where you can get the regular size for only 12 bucks or so. Enjoy! 😁
Coffee milk is delicious!
https://www.amazon.com/AUTOCRAT-COFFEE-SYRUP-32-OZ/dp/B0002BQLI2
Order the mix and try it!
Try this stuff, http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000MW6JXI?cache=6f490f7cee7194876f77f7787d77151d&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1404220827&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1
I make it everyday, it is great iced.
What I want is to buy this and just pump it directly into my mouth, but that's not very keto friendly. They do have a sugar free version but I think it needs to be refrigerated.
I will buy some peppermint syrup to put in my coffee instead though.
Concentrated coffee and sugar mixed with milk. It is the most divine of all beverages. http://www.amazon.com/Autocrat-Coffee-Syrup-32-Oz/dp/B0002BQLI2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1425933615&sr=8-3&keywords=coffee+syrup
I'm sure a barista will chime in... But half and half is bought in box like milk at the grocery store.
The sweetener, I believe, is a syrup sweetener similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/Starbucks-Classic-Syrup-1-L/dp/B004U7QTMW
Flavored sugar-free syrup! Why hello, Torani! Add skim milk...I use about an ounce of milk with this and the whole coffee is 20 calories :)
P.S. you can buy this or similar syrups at the grocery in the coffee aisle.
I'll start out (as with most days) with these mixed with white rum. Probably have a few slowly sipped shots of Makers Mark on the side throughout the night as well. When the ball drops, I'll switch off to a bottle of Brut until that's gone. Might have some Malbec or a White Russian or two with this during the night as well. Looking forward to it all!
I highly recommend finding a tonic syrup because then you are able to customize how sweet you want it based on how much syrup you add. All you do is stir it into normal soda water or put it in a soda stream.
Organic Fair (my favorite)
https://organicfair.com/collections/organic-soda-syrups
Kina Tonic

Rootside (if you're in Canada, the cardamom citrus tonic is to die for)
https://www.rootside.ca/
When I was growing up, we didn't drink Kool-Aid. A lot of the French kids just used flavored syrups mixed with water, usually one part syrup to two parts water. The two that were always in my house were mint and peach. About once a year, I'll go ahead and buy some just for a treat. The mint syrup I get: https://www.amazon.com/Teisseire-Concentrated-Syrup-drinks-flavoring/dp/B001F3KNW6/
We typically don't give away pumps unless we have extras in stock as we typically only have enough in reserve to cover any that break in our rotation. I guess it'll vary from store to store.
However, there are tons of places that sell pumps like this that fit the standard 1 liter bottles and they're relatively inexpensive.
I personally bought mine from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Espresso-Supply-903316-Syrup-Bottle/dp/B002DMLF0M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1418395202&sr=8-2&keywords=syrup+pump
Yes!
There are two choices, Autocrat, and Dave’s Coffee
https://www.amazon.com/Autocrat-Coffee-Syrup-32-oz/dp/B0002BQLI2
https://www.davescoffee.com
I have a slight preference for Dave’s, but your may feel differently
Also if you’re into it, Narragansett makes a coffee milk stout, although it is seasonal I think
http://www.narragansettbeer.com/beer/autocrat-coffee-milk-stout?age-verified=0ca4603d7b
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008GZV29E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_71JKDbJHMDWWY hopefully this will work!
Protip: You can buy the Vanilla flavored syrup and squirt a shot into any can of Coke in order to make Vanilla Coke. My coworker came up with the idea during a slow day at work.
Edit: Works even better with Coke Zero and Diet Coke.
