The DRC Edge tail light seems to be pretty common. That's the integrated one with an upgraded circuit board but the one that's just a tail light can be bought here. The Acerbis supermoto fender seems to be popular for the front. My friend has a pair of these Zeta hand guards with turn signals that I really like. As far as racks, my favorite is the b&b rack but they're based out of Australia. Any all metal shift lever such as this or this will probably help with black marks from the rubber on the stock one. I have a Corbin seat from the previous owner and I don't really like it much more than stock. I'd probably get a Seat Concepts or a Renazco. As far as foot pegs, I had a bike with IMS pegs and I liked those for the short time I had it.

This is honestly a fantastic picture, I love the wheels and Raptor style grille on this. The Anzo headlights and LED taillights would do wonders for the looks of this truck too. They have an LED center brake light as well. If you don't need perfect reception on the radio, a stubby antenna might look better too.

u/cobo10201 · 1 pointr/Trucks

Yeah, I thought about replacing the fan clutch and water pump as I was in there but I haven't had any problems with either so I decided against it until I have more time/money.

But yeah, bumper (top of the list), valence (top of the list), and headlights. Honestly though, the headlights are made very cheaply and the LED halos have burnt out after a year. I've read good reviews about the Spyder Auto projectors here for the Ranger and they look almost identical.

They’re these ones here, they’re awesome. Not sure what bulbs tbh but it’s all LEDs and very nice looking at night. They’re not exactly plug and play though. Requires slight modification to the wiring harness for the stop/running lights but it’s not very difficult.

Just understand that the xr650l is really restricted from factory for emissions reasons. If you buy a 100% stock xr650l like I did, expect to spend money/time on doing a couple things. Which, is was fun in my case, built not bought.

If the bike you buy doesn't have these things, expect to do these right off the bat:

REJET! The xr650l runs lean from factory for emission reasons. Running lean is bad for engine overtime (can make engine run hotter than it should and doesn't allow for enough gas to help lubricate the cylinder walls). If anything, make sure this is done first.

Air filter: don't buy the K&N filter. It allow a lot of air flow because it has bad filtration. Yes, it's bad for your engine. Either keep on the stock filter, or go with a UNI foam filter (like I did, and I suggest it)

Again, the engine is restricted from factory, change that exhaust slip-on. Stay with the stock header at first, it's sufficient. I got the EVO-R Big Gun exhaust (loud and proud)

Desmog: You buy a desmog kit off of ebay for like $16. Take off all the emission bullshit and the bike will behave a little better. Takes weight off the bike and looks a lot better without all that clutter

xr650r front stroke or the other one /u/Kilroy_1911 mentioned. If I could go back in time I would get the one that the guy on ADVRider is selling on ebay. The xr650r sprocket doesn't fit perfectly, I had to get an old router bit and grind off some of the inside of the xr650r sprocket for the retaining clip to go on. I went with the Moose xr650r front sprocket

WPS rear brake light. The factory rear brake light thing looks bad IMHO. drill holes and zipties the license plate to the fender. Read the reviews. The stock bulb that comes with it is garbage. Go ahead and order the one they talk about in the comments.

__

That's my "xr650l stage 1 upgrade" suggestion.

Other strong suggestions:

Get some bark busters. They will save your levers and perches. I waited too long to do this and ended up have to replace my clutch perch and clutch/brake levers because dropping the bike on the trail. So, procrastinating on bark busters ended up costing me a little bit of money. Bark busters are a go

If you plan on doing serious trail riding, D606 rear tire is great. Don't get D606 front tire

Changing oil before you drive a vehicle gives you 5+hp, or was that Gran Turismo 3 A Spec? Either way, the manual says to use Honda's GN4 (dinosaur) oil, but lots of people go with Rotella T6 synthetic oil. Without getting into the debate, synthetic oil is better, especially for oil cooled engines, as oil is just as much as a coolant as water in a water cooled engine, and synthetic will cool an engine better than Dino oil will. So, go with T6 oil.

Got these ones, they work perfect and took about 30-45mins to install since I'm kind of a noob lol. Wire up was easiest part. Just sticking the wires in the correct color coded spots. I can send you a picture of how it wires up later if you'd like. They were actually pretty easy to install, just unbolting a couple of things and undoing some of the trunk trims, didn't have to remove taillights

> A rear fog lamp and a brake light are extremely different from a photometric standpoint. Putting the Wrong Bulb in the housing does not change this

All there is to it, is an additional filament 6mm apart, like the majority of front car turn signals https://youtu.be/JkU14Wu_g10?t=715 (11:55). Or in the case of an LED bulb, it's a dual-brightness change.

>doesmt work correctly as a rear fog lamp, Or as a brake light.

There's no way for it to work incorrectly, as it's additional light I shouldn't even have in the first place. I have it wired to be a running light and brake light; there's no harm in that. Here's the video again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4m6KG33haGw&feature=youtu.be

An LED is compatible if it is the right size 1:1 with the original bulb.

> "oh, it looks brighter, it must be better."

Hence why I mentioned my turn signals are more intense. They can be seen from a much longer distance and even clearly during the daytime compared to my original bulbs; great when working roadside. They work so well that I've decided to wire them up as strobe lights instead of using a strobe head. They're much better than the hideaway strobes other guys and the local PD are using. It works so well that I plan to install a similar bulb on my reverse lights so I can have a dual-channel strobe system.

Of course HIDs don't work in reflector housings. The HIDs I'm using are specific for the projector I'm using. The picture I took on the wall was right after installing, only to show the beam pattern difference. The image is overexposed and you can't tell much and you must be assuming a lot from that. I might have to take out the DSLR one day and take some video.

> You need to see things that are 150, 200, 250 and 300 or more feet

Exactly. That's why I got them. Since it has a sharp cut-off line, they're much safer than my original headlights since I can aim the beam higher up and not blind anyone, and the hotspot is right at the cut-off line so visibility is improved long distance. Works great on dark Texas country roads. As soon as the little shield flips up to reveal the high beams, the full hotspot is revealed and I can see the road on the next hill a mile away clearly. If I ever need additional light there or on a ranch, I'll enable my spot lights. Deer don't have a chance.

> expensive safety device

I hacked up aftermarket headlights which are $60 each.

>If you want rear brake lights, buy rear brake lights, mount and wire them appropriately.

That's what I did. Running lights and brake lights.

This is hilarious. So this tailgate LED bar is morally wrong, illegal, a sin, and should be killed by rocks?

All I'm looking for is a diffuser sheet. That is all.

Black Housing Brake Streak Signal LED Tail Light Unit Scion Frs/Subaru Brz

I feel like they should have an actual name and if anyone can find me an actual link apart from amazon I'd love to know. But I got mine off amazon for like 220ish.

u/IJUSTWANTTOUPBOAT · 1 pointr/Trucks

Unsure about the legality, could be different any-damn place and manufacturers just put them on all of em to make one product available everywhere. But doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to add one based on the results I'm seeing on amazon;

https://www.amazon.com/PerfecTech-Auomotive-Mount-Third-Brake/dp/B019TRZR0W/ref=pd_sbs_263_2

Not sure what connector would be needed to add to an 01 Ram, but there is almost certainly someone, somewhere, would know. Good luck OP

I thought my account was hacked, it took my username/password but all my lists were gone, my garage was wiped out, then I saw the CDN and the URL..... .ca lol

I've been looking for a set of LED tails for a late model sedan, how is the fit and feel? Are they bright and even? No fast blinking?

Congrats on Civic! Ps. i got 5.4 L/100km on highway. Basically a prius.

Thanks a lot! The smoked taillights are aftermarket. I took a risk and ordered a pair of aftermarket taillight assemblies made by DEPO from Amazon and I chose the Sport version with the blacked out casing. By risk I mean there were absolutely no reviews and I had read some mixed results on the quality of DEPO light assemblies, so I jumped in and I'm glad I did.

They look fantastic and the black really makes them pop. I have been keeping a very close eye to see if any moisture appears on the inside whenever I wash the car or if it rains, and they are staying very dry. The seals seem to be properly applied and set in, so I'm hoping they last for quite awhile before I'd have to do any resealing myself.

These mafuckers look pretty swiggy but I prefer the stock 05' tails.

If I was gonna do this mod I would prob start with an aftermarket tail, easier to get into.

u/raycv93 · 0 pointsr/WRX

Here’s the one one I used. Reviews are not great but it looks great so I’m gonna roll with it for now. Doesn’t strobe but it says it’s supposed to so I’m not sure if I have a loose cable or anything.

I went that route the first time, but then started just replacing the circuit board inside with one of these. It ends up saving a lot of money over replacing the whole assembly.

Combining this board with led bulb replacements will solve the problem completely though... I just prefer the brightness of incandescent bulbs when it comes to taillights and safety.

u/Subfolded · 2 pointsr/dodgechallenger

I think the interior is mostly a no-go - I don't even think the seats are swappable after the '15 interior upgrade but I could be wrong. One thing that can help you is the single notable difference in the exterior from '08 to '19....

I'm realizing that I research the Challenger far too much without actually owning one. I better start saving...

u/DukeDeVito · 2 pointsr/GolfGTI

I’m rockin’ with the dip, that grey is nice.

I’m also with the crowd as far as the tail lights, but shame on ‘em all for not presenting alternatives.

I think something like these could be solid.

But what do I know, i’m still stock 😅

u/sruon · 2 pointsr/motorcycles

That one is relatively cheap and easy to install.

You can probably find cheaper options on eBay/Amazon.

I installed this. Just followed the instructions from the manufacturer and read this thread for some help.

I wanna do mud flaps too. Haven't found ones I like tho. Also want to get the short antenna an upgrade the speakers. And find a fog light kit for it. Maybe change out the rear taillights with something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MZMR1N0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_BtV6ybHV3VJ9T
