Avoiding FODMAP should be something done, in my opinion, short-term to reduce symptoms. I do not think it is a good strategy long-term.
You must know that a lot of prebiotics are FODMAP, such as onion/garlic (these contain oligosacharides). Yet for me these oligosacharides are very important now since they help establish a healthy gut flora. They "feed" bacteria.
I personally am not a big fan of FODMAP avoidance. For me it didn't work. It might work for others, I strongly recommend to test things yourself. Since IBS is very complex everyone reacts differently.

I am supplementing with inulin as one of my prebiotics. This is a "pure" FODMAP. It caused me some bloating and gas yes. But I reduced the dosage, and started building up slowly. Within a few days I could already handle a couple grams more of inulin. Basically you are letting your garden of bacteria get accustomed to having a good amount to eat. (When they eat they produce gas).
Inulin raises beneficial bacteria including akkermansia / roseburia etc. These are very beneficial for a healthy gut flora.

There has been done a lot of research with adding prebiotics to a diet. They seem to greatly improve the health of the host. They do this by producing substances (short chain fatty acids) like butyrate, which have a repairing influence on the colon and other organs.

I also use this since a bit and it does help me into fixing that last 10%.

You should know that this is a high FODMAP thing. (Acacia gum). Yet look at the reviews and the positive effects they have for many people. I think a lot of people can greatly benefit from slowly building up with some prebiotics.

If you do decide to try out prebiotics, please make sure you start very very very low dosage!!!! There have been people starting out way too big getting huge bowel pains. (As in, typical huge IBS "attacks")

For probiotics I'd recommend things like sauerkraut/kimchi/kefir/kvass. (also start very slow, and make sure they're not heated/pasteurized. best is to make your own at home, it's easy! just check on google: "how to make x")

From my "journey" to fix this problem the best thing for me was to throw all "theories" out of the window, and just started experimenting.

Hey all! Some of y’all may have saw my older post, so it’s a pleasure to come back in only just two weeks with some progress. I’ve had a shift in routine since then. What you see is flat red marks, and just two raised bumps.

First of all, I’d like to thank those that recommended Azelaic acid because holy moly I think it made a big difference. And I also feel the same about the benzoyl peroxide contact therapy. There was a point where I dropped my BHA and AHA and just used Melazepam morning and night for a few days, but then I learned that you get the same results just using it once a day. I now alternate my BHA and AHA in the evenings.

Another thing I started was taking Spearmint Capsules! I haven’t been taking them long enough to say they’re working, but I will say that I’m thankful another breakout hasn’t tarnished my progress again yet. (Knock on wood)

I actually haven’t visited the derm like many recommended because I really wanted to try the spearmint capsules first to see if they could control my hormonal acne alongside my BC. If my skin foils me again, I’m off to the derm for sure.

Another oral product I’m taking is this women’s vaginal probiotic. Even though it’s targeted towards women’s health, it contains probiotic strains beneficial for targeting acne according to Simple Skincare Science.

Lastly, I definitely prefer Skinlex’s formulation of niacinamide over TO’s. There’s really nice beneficial ingredients, and it’s only $13.60!


Routine:

AM:

• Dr. Song’s 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel when I wake up (wait for ten minutes and then wash off)
• Vanicream Gentle Cleanser
• Melazepam (20% Azelaic acid cream)
• Habo Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream mixed with a couple pumps of Skinlex 2% Alpha-Arbutin Serum (includes Niacinamide and MAP Vitamin C)
• Cerave in the tub
• Biore UV bright milk SPF 50+ (pink bottle)

PM:

• Remove makeup with Kose softymo speedy cleansing oil
• Vanicream Gentle Cleanser
• alternate nights between stridex in the red box and 10% Mandelic acid serum
• Habo Labo Skin plumping gel cream mixed with the Skinlex 2% Alpha-arbutin
• Cerave in the tub

Every other night:

• De la Cruz 10% Sulphur ointment (apply to face and wash off after 15 min)

Weekly:

• MUAC 40% mandelic acid chemical peel

• After my chemical peel, I’ll add a couple pumps of Skinlex 10% Niacinamide serum to my Habo Labo skin plumping gel cream instead of using the 2% Alpha Arbutin

Ensure has a few different products, so my assessment may be wrong in some places. If so, please point it out. I'll primarily base this product as representing Ensure. Here are a few thoughts:

  1. Cost - the above product is $13 for 7 servings. Sounds reasonable, until you realize 1 serving has 250 Cal. To meet the rec'd 2000 Cal, you'd have to have the entire tub + a bit more. The liquid 16 pack on amazon actually looks a bit cheaper at around $10 a day (not including shipping) if we're considering just meeting calorie needs. Soylent is supposed to cost just a few dollars a day. We'll see if that's the case when it is released, but there are definitely recipes out there that come in well under $10 a day. Ensure plus seems to come close under $10 a day, but is still something like double what Rob claims the final product will cost.
  2. 100% daily needs really means 100% - Ensure claims it is "balanced" but going off the above calculation (8 servings a day for 2000 Cal) you'd have x8 on all nutrients. Just take a look at Ensure's nutrition information, and you'll see that the majority of nutrients multiplied x8 come in well over 100% or well under. There's zero fiber. Not enough potassium. Too much of most of the vitamins. Soylent is meant to be a scientifically formulated product that has the recommended amount of everything, and were there is a lack of information on a nutrient, a well researched and informed amount.
  3. Ingredients - The primary ingredient in regular Ensure is corn syrup, which may be tastier than oat powder or maltodextrin, but isn't as good for you. The primary oil is corn oil, which also isn't as good for you as olive oil.
  4. Underlying idea - Soylent is meant to replace meals if someone wants to use it that way (I personally don't, but I'd like to have some for the option of an easy breakfast or lunch if I'm feeling lazy). Ensure is meant to be a supplement or stop gap between diets. You may scoff at this, but that means there is a diy and self-experimental community around the product which aims to make it better and helps keep members safe. Without a doubt, there will be someone more committed to their soylent diet than you. If they run into problems with it, or come up with solutions, they're likely to share them on reddit or on other forums. The community can also answer questions, as I'm doing for you, and upvote/downvote/reply as they see fit. If you called Abbott laboratories up with this question I'd doubt you'd get satisfactory answers.

  1. Atop my list are these sinfully comfortable and cute flats. I've posted about them on this sub before. They're all rubber/silicone (so they're not stiff anywhere at all), made from recycled materials, completely waterproof, easy to wash and clean (they can be washed in the dishwasher), and unbelievably comfy. They won't hurt your ankles and they have a "massage arch" so that they don't hurt the bottoms of your feet. Everyone needs a pair. This company makes flats, sandals, sling-backs, wedges! Even if I don't win this contest, I wholeheartedly recommend that you check these out.

  2. Next would be this jar of fiber. Lol so glamorous. Seriously, fiber is so good for you. For your heart, for your system, for your cholesterol, etc. I try and get most of my recommended fiber everyday and I rely on a supplement for that.

  3. Then this hard drive! This one will mostly be for my work/internship stuff. I'm so afraid to lose the work that I do on my laptop v. on my desktop, so this will be nice peace of mind!

  4. This super cool cutting board that extends to fit over a kitchen sink! And a silicone pouch for separating the food! Too cool and a kitchen staple! I've seen these in use and they're so handy.

Thank you for your responses, I appreciate your continued explanation.

I've endured a long and difficult relationship with psychoactives. I first took DXM 7 years ago, and I have since run the gamut. Drug combinations, dosing methods, kitchen extractions, you name it-- I've done it. In other words, learned the hard way. I think this may be why I have such reverence for your approach. I am humbled by your thoughtfulness.

Note: this post is very, very long.

My method:

Preparation begins several days in advance. Like you, I have obligations that necessitate some schedule-shuffling. In many ways, this makes the experience feel more like a vacation; it's a special occasion, so I treat it like a holiday.

I abstain from alcohol and other drugs for at least 72 hours before the trip. As you mention, hydration is key to basic health, and this is a component of the days leading up to the trip. If I haven't been hydrating well, this is my chance to catch up.

I clean my environment fully. I dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize my bedroom. I clear rubbish and generally tidy any areas I might enter around the time of the trip, such as the bathroom, kitchen, and living room.

I make sure to eat plenty of fiber, protein, and nutrient-rich foods like nuts, leafy green vegetables, and fish. If I can't get fish, I make sure I take a good amount of high quality fish or cod liver oil. I practice a high-fat, adequate-protein diet; basically, it's a modified ketonic diet. I usually take in 1-2 tbsp of cold-pressed extra virgin coconut oil once or twice a day both for its health benefits and for increased absorption of other chemicals. However, I skip this on DXM day, which I'll explain later. I have a wide range of supplements I take as well. These include micronized creatine, HMB, a multivitamin, and a number of nootropics. My nootropic stack varies depending on whether I have to work or not, but usually includes piracetam, aniracetam, ashwagandha; sometimes I add phenibut and/or phenylpiracetam.

The day before the trip, I exercise-- hard. I push myself to my absolute limits with calisthenics, weightlifting, and cardio. If I have the time for it, I will go for 2-3 hours split up throughout the day. I find that this accomplishes two things: 1) I achieve a deeper state of rest the night before and 2) I have considerably less anxiety about the trip. At night, I take ZMA. This contains a form of magnesium, but I've never had any issues with interactions. I'm pretty certain that the peak levels of magnesium occur sometime during the night, but I would recommend caution when using magnesium supplements within 24 hours of DXM use. As I have said many times before, every body is different and every brain is different. Your mileage may vary.

A good majority of people do not get enough fiber intake in their day. I know it's not easy, but it might help to find a few fiber sources that you enjoy eating as that will help you out tremendously.

If you're getting the right amount of water per day, getting in the right amount of fiber, and limiting your food intake 3-4 hours before going to sleep, that will help you with regularity in a big way.

First things first, check out that link. It explains which birth control pills are good for acne and which will exacerbate it (YMMV of course). It's possible that your BC is not one that's good for acne. If this is the case, I'd recommend asking your doctor to switch you to a different one, the best two I think are ortho-tri cyclen and yasmin.

Other than that, you could also try asking your doctor for spironolactone. It's an anti-androgenic medication that's often prescribed for hormonal acne. Lastly, you should DEFINITELY try spearmint tea. That's what I did, and it helped like crazy. Spearmint is anti-androgenic, too, there have been studies on it so it's not an old wives tale or anything like that. I personally could never get myself to drink 1-2 cups of spearmint tea a day, so I take them in capsule form instead, which is the same thing. I like this one.

I've also noticed that my hormonal acne gets better when I'm using my finacea prescription, which I use for rosacea. At the very least, finacea is really good for getting rid of the red marks leftover by hormonal breakouts.

Try heathers tummy fiber. Just put in 1 tablespoon into warm water, stir for a minute and drink. I took it for just the added fiber during keto, but pretty much ALL the reviews were about it helping IBS. Its like 13 bucks on Amazon. Good luck!

I am quite positive that some nutrients are more biologically available due to the action of intestinal bacteria however I cant remember which ones. I think you should first define the weight your talking about. I think it this case you could have weight gain from fluid retention from swelling and inflammation, weight loss from fluid loss from diarrhea. you can have both going on at once. Weight loss as in the release or storage of lipids by fat cells can also be influenced by gut bacteria. Bacteria can interfere with the response to leptin causing weight gain. Now your question about disrupting. There are big issues with that. There are hundreds of different bacteria and yeast in your system some are beneficial some are pathogenic some others are beneficial until there are to many then they become pathogenic. Not to mention disrupting the bacteria with anti-biotics can lead to a Yeast imbalance as like candida are not bacteria but fungus. Yeast imbalances are also not simple to treat because yeast are more like animals then they are like bacteria anti-fungal agents are as toxic to people as they are to yeast. I use those and take an iron. I say go for it because the iron pill is significantly smaller than the horse pills that most prenatal swallowables are, and you'll get better absorption taking a prenatal at one end of the day and iron at the other.

Another option is (if you have the energy to cook, bless you) to cook everything in a cast iron pan. I have a friend who swears by that for getting enough iron in her system.

Edit: as far as iron goes, my doc called in a prescription for me and that's what I take: ferrous sulfate 325MG (5GR) tablets.

I also HIGHLY recommend fiber gummies as well. I take these. I've had hemorrhoids before pregnancy (keto/paleo without realizing the need for lots of fiber) and it was so not fun. Taking the fiber gummies has kept me regular and so far prevented any hemorrhoids at 32 weeks, and I'm hoping it continues to not be an issue.

This is good, organic fiber. It may take a while to build up to the dosage you need.( In the meantime, if you are having a bad episode try a tblsp or two or milk of magnesia to get you some relief. )

Now with IBS, diet has a lot to do with it. Try an elimination diet like the the Low FODMAP diet to rule out trigger foods.

I also take time to sit quietly in the evening and meditate. Stress and ibs aggravate each other. At least in myself. There's no such thing as overkill when it comes to looking after your mental well being.

I have suffered for years with IBS-C. I really hope some of the info I'm giving you helps.

I just get mine from Amazon, I wasn't particular about brand (as long as they're spearmint not peppermint!); I'm in the UK but looks like the ones I get are also in the US (https://www.amazon.com/Swanson-Full-Spectrum-Spearmint-Leaf/dp/B00392OUZW). I take one tablet twice a day.

 

Otherwise looks like everyone else has given good advice but my tactic would be to focus on getting very good at covering up - I was in my friend's wedding a few months ago and my skin was a mess but I had my concealing skills honed so it ended up difficult to even notice (but allow maybe more time for getting ready on the day so you can really take time over it!).

Stay hydrated. Figure out why you are straining and start making changes to your diet as soon as possible. Not enough fiber? Get some psyllium husk tablets. Hard stool? Colace(stool softener) I recommend both. It is extremely important to stay hydrated. Dehydration while on any of those will make bowel movements worse. Try to take a shower after every bowel movement, but avoid soap. You do not want to make the same mistake as me and let your skin dry out. If you do use soap I recommend vaseline or a&d ointment after a wash. Cold water may feel relaxing and numb the pain, but remember to do warm water sitz baths as well. The key to healing is increasing blood flow. The blood flow is low in the rectum so healing can take quite some time. Despite how much blood you might see after a bowel movement. Applying heat will increase blood flow. Unfortunately for you the pain from the fissure comes from your sphincter spasming and it will be hard to stop that without prescription medication. You might have some success with lidocaine, but that can be costly(see Dr. Butlers cream). Over the counter pain medicine will help as well. Avoid opioids(can cause constipation). True pain relief comes with the nitroglycerin ointment. Which also increases blood flow to the area and relaxes the muscle. Yes get the baby wipes, but I would avoid the neosporin and get the dr. butlers cream while you wait for an appointment to get the nitroglycerin. I highly recommend getting the nitro. Also look into lifting your legs while on the toilet into a squatting position. Don't wait on getting treatment for this. Although not life threatening if you wait and it gets worse you will regret it, trust me. Make an appointment to see a doctor/specialist if you can afford it. Maybe look into fasting for a day or two, or even intermittent fasting. Give your fissure some time to start healing before irritating it again with another bowel movement. You can't stop pooping, but you can limit how much you do it. If you do fast do some research on keeping your electrolytes in check. Like I said you do not want to become dehydrated. I recommend Centrum chewables because they are more easily absorbed by the body. I heard that sometimes regular multivitamins pass through the body largely undigested which is why I prefer the chewable kind. Also, I take a potassium supplement as well as a heaping tablespoon of fiber powder every day. For anyone interested, a convenient carb free way to take the fiber powder is to mix it in a blender with a can of diet root beer (I use A&W) with a 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream and two packets of Splenda. It tastes like a melted root beer float (i.e. delicious) and you hardly notice the fiber.

You say "used ice daily". However, my feeling is that you're not using it enough. What I do is fill a lemonade pitcher fucking full of cold water and ice so you can submerge up to your forearm and the water doesn't overflow. Keep it there as long as you can. At first, this will only be like 10 seconds, but you'll be able to get this up to a few minutes. Have a towel for when you get out of the cold icy water. Let your hand/arm dry, then go back in. Do this five or ten times while watching tv etc. It really gets your heart going!

Couple this by purchasing a 44-pack tub of "Animal Flex" and take down like 4 of those fuckers a day. Bonus points if you take a teaspoon of MSM powder and mix it with a glass of water once per day.

I'd also suggest tai chi and qigong for RSI's.

Take this shit seriously.

I thought it did, since I was taking it to help with your IBS, but I found taking the daily recommended of 500mg from a multimineral tablet was enough if I added some more fiber to my diet.

Everyone's talking vegetables or tortillas. Why is there no mention yet of fiber supplements? The best I had before was Cirucel, in powder -mixed-with-water form. That seemed to be a good one. That gets tedious though, and I've switched to these fiber gummies. They taste like gummy bears, and I take two a day and stay pretty regular. (I buy them at Sam's or Costco)

I got some fiber gummies and that helped. These have been my personal favorites so far. My OB also said it was OK to take Colace and Miralax. A half dose of Miralax with a full glass of water and a Colace usually gets things moving for me.

Pregnancy constipation is not fun at all. I'd only been constipated twice in my life prior to pregnancy so I naively thought I'd be able to avoid pregnancy constipation. Nope, not so.

ETA: My OB never gave specifics on water goals. She just said to make water "your new best friend" and to "always have a glass/bottle/whatever with you and be sipping on it." My friend's OB told her that you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces each day. So if you way 140 pounds you should be drinking 70 ounces of water every day.

Definitely self experiment. I've been tormented by most fibers but soluble fiber tends to be more gentle on a damaged gut.

I take 2 pills of fibercon tablets after every meal. I also generally eat lots of rice which is supposed to help.

Coffee in the morning is helpful for getting the gut moving. Do some reading about different kinds of fiber supplements and foods to help keep you regular. It's not just a help for your extracurricular activities, but also nice for your daily life.

I just did a little price comparison.

Soylent is $70 a month for 7 bags. Each bag is 444g. That's a cost of 2.25 cents a gram.

Ensure powder is $8.99 for a 397 gram package. That's 2.26 cents a gram.

I'm extremely surprised that the price is almost identical.

Now, I'm sure you can get a bulk discount on ensure, but I think there are cheaper payment plans for Soylent too.

OK, I have some limited info that might be helpful regarding your questions. First of all, don't force yourself to eat things that are unpalatable. Try to substitute, if you can, with other vegetables, and realize that baby is getting what s/he needs from you, especially if you're taking a prenatal. I really, really enjoyed peanut butter and crackers. Like, in a big way. Two jars a week.

I cry at commercials and maudlin thoughts now. So, no, crying at a meal seems perfectly normal. It'll pass.

When I heard the heartbeat for the first time, I just remember thinking, Thank God! No more IVF for a while! It wasn't until she really looked like a human at 12 weeks that I got more attached. And, frankly, I only really thought of her as a real person when I could start to feel her moving (around 19-21 weeks). Whatever you're feeling is OK. Be patient with your post-infertility PTSD, if you think you might have a little. That's what we're all here for.

Um, regarding the Crinone - yeaaaah, never saw black. BUT, I did some googling, and some other boards that shall remain nameless seem to say that it's old stuff that is a week or two old that is just discharging. So, seems harmless.

Have you ever tried psyllium husk capsules? You can buy them easily from Amazon, which would be the cheapest route. I took this, and my bowel movements became shockingly clean. Literally like one, two, maybe three wipes at most.

No matter how much regular fiber I was consuming (I eat a lot of whole grains, whole fruits, and vegetables), my bowel movements didn't compare to how clean they were when I was taking the psyllium husk capsules.

Those capsules are basically the same capsules you can find specifically targeted to gay men, albeit much cheaper.

My only real concern is how my body would hold up if I were to use that amount of psyllium husk fiber per day for a long period of time. What's weird is that some reputable companies will state that it's not for long term use, while other reputable companies will not have that warning label at all even though they have identical daily fiber intakes. After much research, it seems to me that companies that have higher doses of psyllium husk within fewer capsules have the warning while companies that have smaller doses of psyllium husk in more capsules don't have the warning. Downside of the latter is having to take more capsules per day, which would be annoying.

I did have one side effect from taking psyllium husk capsules, and that was pretty strong stomach pain, but that was due to not taking the recommended amount per day I believe. When I took the recommend dosage amount, the pain was nonexistent. What was really great was that I had no bloating at all as you might expect from a fiber pill. It seems to me that psyllium husk does not cause bloating because it doesn't release gases as it simply expands in your body and doesn't get digested by the bacteria.

With what ya go going you're covering your bases in a smart cheap way.

Creatine can be a little helpful but I ultimately stopped using it just because (1) It's annoying to have to remember to take it every day since its in powder form and (2) While I only retain a small amount of water while on it, it all goes to my face.

I had no real strength loss after I stopped, in fact I put 40lbs on my deadlift while cutting, all other lifts remained stalled (The stall is mostly because of cutting + substituting lifting for MMA training).

At the same time, regular old Creatine Monohydrate is dirt cheap, so try it if you want. Just be sure to get one that's made with Creapure creatine. Here's what I used

Whey protein can always be helpful for getting in extra protein quickly.

I've never really noticed a difference from taking G & C tbh, but it's worth a try to see if it works for you. And the animal stuff is just the first thing that came to mind, I'm sure you can find cheaper options.

Two things that come to mind:

- How much metamucil are you taking? It looks like you can take up to 2 rounded teaspoons 3X per day, per the label. I would think about (gradually) moving up to that amount and see what happens. Just take 2 tsp with each meal (you could experiment whether before vs after vs during makes any difference). Move up gradually, not suddenly, from whatever you are taking now.

- You could try some of the other fiber products that are supposed to do well with IBS, to see if they are any better or worse. They are generally soluble type fiber. Examples are something with Sunfiber (one example) and Heather's Tummy Fiber.

What do you mean "slightly been knocked out". You're in or your out. If the stick is any shade of pink, you're in ketosis. The "level" of ketones is irrelevant. Also, many here will say that the high concentrations are an indicator that you're not drinking enough water, as you're not flushing yourself out enough.

I use these for fiber supplements and have never had any issues. They're fantastic as a little mini dessert to round off breakfast.

I've been taking this fiber supplement for about two weeks now and haven't had diarrhea since. I still have yet to find my ideal dose (I have mixed with excruciating cramps), but I'm very happy with how things are going so far. Usually drinking alcohol gives me bad diarrhea the following day, but I've had a couple nights of drinking since starting taking this fiber and had one solid BM the next day. Again, I've only been taking it for about two weeks, so I'm not sure how it will hold up long term, but it's worth a shot, right?

Eating more fiber will definitely help you get your shit together :). I've had chronic irritable bowel syndrome for years, and found that acacia gum powder pretty much prevents any problems. IBS sufferers have found that it helps keep things stable and regular whether you suffer from diarrhea or constipation. Other gum powders like dextrin can also work well, but acacia is good because it's totally tasteless, odorless, and dissolves well in both hot and cold drinks (but nothing carbonated) without thickening the liquid. It basically just disappears into the drink and you can't tell it's there. I take a tablespoon in a glass of Crystal Light 3 times a day, and it has no effect on my BGs at all since it's totally nondigestable (which is the point).

I don't know what kind of diet that is, but it isn't low carb. It sounds like she is trying to do a 0 carb diet instead of a low carb diet. Avoiding all grains is great, and seeds aren't all that important. Veggies, nuts, and fruits should NOT be avoided though.

"Low" should be less than 50 carbs a day. If one really wants to go extreme with it, less than 30 could work. Also, she knows that carbs from dietary fiber don't "count" right?

If she insists on not eating any of the above things at all, then she'll just have to go with artificial fiber supplements. I suggest these. I just take two a day, but if I was literally not eating any vegetables, fruits, or nuts then I'd probably have 8 a day.

Sugar free gummy bears gives people the shits/excessive farting. They're infamous for it:

Relatively new to bottom here. I just stopped eating fast food and take these fiber chewables, getting cleaned up had been a breeze.

Yes! I've had a similar experience. I recently got this book, it's mostly a cookbook but in the beginning thoroughly discusses IBS triggers, what's safe and what to avoid. The biggest things are fat and insoluble fiber.

The woman also sells this supplement that is pure soluble fiber called Heathers Tummy Fiber which I have found has helped me significantly.

I would check it out and see what you think.... the woman who wrote it is not a doctor or anything but is an IBS sufferer and explains how she did a lot of her own research into the topic herself. I've found the advice and info in this book to match much closer to my experiences than the advice to cut out fodmaps/gluten/dairy/whatever else.

I also saw an actual dietician for the first time recently and she also suggested a low fiber diet and said that the evidence is still mixed on the low fodmap diet.

Fiber supplements. Little gummie things. I chew on 4 of them while I am making dinner. I'd rather get it naturally but it is one of those things I feel I need more but there is no way I could stuff it into one meal so I use them. I could probably do without it but I like my fiber so I'd rather use a supplement than adjust to less.

I tried this but kept forgetting to drink the tea, so I started taking spearmint capsules (Swanson) instead. It seems to be the only thing so far to actually stop my hormonal chin acne; too bad the capsules now seem to be out of stock everywhere. I hope they haven't been discontinued. (Edit: I mean in the UK, they may still be available in US.)

Informed Consent Clinics might work with out letters etc. Depending on where you live you may can get a prescription rather quickly since you are already diying. On my post many have said because they mentioned DIYING to their therapist it sped up the process of getting a reference to an endo. However, they also told me to be very careful as not every therapist will be open and willing to hear out Trans people or take them seriously. Mentioning DIYING to the wrong therapist In the wrong area could get you in trouble. I guess it would depend on where you live, and who you are seeing. Its really quite unfortunate that there are so many gates we have to go through just to be ourselves. I agree with you though, DIYING IS SOOOOOO STRESSFUL.
