Yes ! Moisture wicking underwear!

I work as a delivery driver in the hot and humid south and crotch rot has always been a painful/infuriating problem.

Lotions make this WORSE! I found out the hard way. I had a bad case of crotch rot every day after working a few hours so I put some lotion on it. Turns out your skin is inflamed and broken out because of the friction and moisture. You need to be DRY! I ended up with a yeast infection which is awkward as a dude.

But sometimes fancy underwear aren't enough...

So every morning I put Fresh Balls or Anti Monkey Butt on m'parts to keep me dry. They both work wonderfully, but the Fresh Balls is a lot less messy.

But sometimes fancy underwear and powders combined aren't enough... Fuck me.

So I keep Gold Bond Medicated Powder: Extra Strength in the truck. Just in case. The stuff has menthol and it super soothing.

I hope these tips help some people. And please let me know if you have any more tips!

Like. Pretty please.

Thanks /u/yousavvy for the shout-out of climbOn, much appreciated.

Op: for finger strength, you can purchase something like this to help. In the use of climbOn after you're done climbing wash your hands. Pack climbOn Bar into any flappers, rips, or tears and cover. Overnight put a thin layer all over your hand and cover with a sock. It will help you build nice strong healthy hands!

Here is my routine with items and products that work for me.

DAILY Morning:

  1. Scrape tongue; rinse with water; brush teeth for 2 minutes; floss; rinse 1 minute with alcohol-free mouthwash and then gargle 30 seconds with a little more mouthwash; brush tongue with vegetable glycerin.
  2. Shower with warm- not hot- water; shampoo (every other day) and condition (every day); wash pits, feet, in between toes, crotch and crack with antibacterial soap and washcloth; wash rest of body with loofah and body wash of choice.
  3. Wash face with warm water and a gentle face cleanser; shave; apply witch hazel to face, neck, and forehead; apply moisturizer with SPF
  4. Dry off completely, especially pits, in between toes, crotch, and crack; apply Fresh Balls , deodorant, foot cream or powder , and hand cream (as necessary).

    DAILY Night:

  5. Step 1 of morning routine
  6. Wash hands and clean under finger nails * with antibacterial soap
  7. Wash face with warm water and face cleanser; apply moisturizer.

WEEKLY Sat or Sun: (In addition to daily routines)

  8. Use a face scrub in the shower, gently, especially to the areas you will be shaving; clean under toenails with a nail brush*
  9. Soak feet, particularly in summer and/or you have to wear work boots;
  10. While feet are soaking trim fingernails * and clean under them with pointed end of a nail file*, carefully; dry feet.
  11. Trim toenails* and clean under them with nail file*.
  12. Check nose, ears and eyebrows for any hairs that need to be trimmed or anything in between eyebrows that needs to be removed.
  13. Shave back of neck and around ears

    * Use separate tools for hands and feet to avoid spreading any potential fungus to your hands

    BI-WEEKLY Sat or Sun:

  14. Manscape after the morning routine.

I have a few resources that have specific guides, I will post them later. I hope this is somewhat helpful and if you have any questions, let me know.
u/penguinluvinman · 2 pointsr/AskDocs

Exercise balls are probably fine to start. You can also get something like this that guitarists and pianists use to strengthen individual fingers. If you want something more interesting that will help more with dexterity (and is a pretty awesome party trick if you get good) you can try Baoding balls

u/IndecisiveInsomniac · 1 pointr/TooAfraidToAsk

I bought this one.

I usually don’t have much knowledge on things like this, which results to me looking at reviews of other customers who bought it. Many people are pleased with what the powder accomplishes and so I bought it. It’s been pretty great on the feet, and you can sprinkle some inside your shoes as well. I do recommend rubbing some on your dry feet after a nice shower, and don’t forget in between the toes.

u/obscuredreference · 2 pointsr/everymanshouldknow

Sounds like they’re good quality shoes and you were taking good care of them, that’s the way to go! :)

Make sure you pull them out of the closet from time to time and check if they’re not drying up, every six months or so. (Depending where you live.) Leather in storage doesn’t dry up as fast as when it’s being used (foot sweat etc.), but it does dry up, so a nice cool storage place and some occasional care helps avoid it.

As for the sperrys, have you tried baby powder or better, a shoe powder? With that kind of shoe, it’s a bit of an uphill battle, but it helps.

u/periwinkleravenclaw · 1 pointr/running

I think you’re over thinking this; it’s really not that complicated. I apply after a cool shower because cool showers help close pores so I sweat less. I take a cool shower in the morning, and another shower after I run. I then apply powder if I think I might get sweaty after my shower. You can apply when you’re dry or when you’re a little damp, either is fine. Don’t apply when you’re soaking wet, but other than that it’s really hard to screw up. You literally just apply powder if you’d like to sweat less, whenever and wherever you want.

Give this a try if you want to smell manly. I’ll cost you $3.50 and you’ll smell like menthol.

There are two items in life you never go cheap on: footwear and a mattress.

Most professionals that stand on their feet that long everyday invest in a solid pair of professional shoes (ie: dansko) as a way to prevent varicose veins, spider veins, foot, ankle, and lower back problems. I cannot overstate the importance of getting good fitting, comfortable shoes. See if there are any custom fit shoe places in your area (ie: Good Feet Store or The Footworks Store) and get properly fitted.

A second recommendation I would have is to get yourself a nice pair of gentle compression stockings. Even as a man I wear them (who lifts up your pants during work and would ever notice them?) and they are a god-send. Dat feeling of taking them off at home never gets old. http://www.amazon.com/Fytto-Style-Travel-Compression-15-20mmHg/dp/B005Z5WDDW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1405912950&sr=8-3&keywords=support+stockings

Finally, since you'll be on your feet more and in professional shoes the uncomfortable idea of foot sweat and foot fungus needs to be discussed. When you get out of the shower in the morning, thoroughly dry your feet and in between your toes. I'd recommend spraying some gold-bond foot spray between your toes prior to putting on your socks.
http://www.amazon.com/Gold-Bond-Spray-Powder-Fresh/dp/B00B4CYRHA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1405913099&sr=8-2&keywords=gold+bond+foot+spray

u/AlfalfaOneOne · 1 pointr/bouldering

On Your Toes bactericide works great. I've used regular foot powders and the like. On Your Toes is far superior. It doesn't last six months, like the label says (I think that's more meant for low-use shoes). For $15...DEFINITELY worth a try if you're on the fence.

u/Bjr34b · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

Try the [Gold Bond Spray!] (https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Bond-Spray-Powder-Fresh/dp/B00B4CYRHA) The only issue is that it does leave residue so it might not be so great for the pits. For all other crevasses though, its fantastic! I was in a wedding a few years back (St. Louis, mid-June, 11am outdoor ceremony), and I bought like 6 cans of the stuff for the bridal party and we used them all that day!

I have also heard that makeup setting spray is good for sweaty pit days. I don't have many makeup setting sprays so I cannot confirm, but its always worth looking into! Plus it might just be one of those things that is good to have around on the big day!

u/stuffaboutsomestuff · 1 pointr/pregnant

I had stinky feet my entire life and stinky shoes! I tried everything people have mentioned here (baking soda, essential oils, vinegar etc). The best solution I've ever found is Gran's Remedy Foot Powder. I bought it on Amazon. It's a little pricey but this little tub will last you a long time. And the best part is you only have to use it for a week and then everything should be good for about 6 months. https://www.amazon.com/Grans-Remedy-Foot-Smelly-Footwear-x/dp/B008F4NV72

u/crazeman · 1 pointr/frugalmalefashion

> them in the wash and currently letting them dry. The smell is definitely gone and there's no visible damage.
> Honestly I was planning on throwing them out and now it's like a new pair of shoes. Thanks for the tip!
> Just put an order in for a pair of those socks -- hopefully I'll be able to avoid the problem in the future.

My sperrys were getting pretty smelly so I was trying a bunch of deodorizers. The best one I tried so far is This one from Rocket Pure. The other ones I tried was one from Dr Scholls and the MFA recommended gold bond foot powder.

u/IDGAF1203 · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

Its best to have a few pairs to rotate, so they will have time to fully dry between use.

But I have found no solution for wearing a full shoe and no socks. You sweat, they get wet, its a perfect mold and bacteria breeding ground. Periodically spraying something like this also helps.

u/Rayden440 · 3 pointsr/osugame

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JVR21FU

Although this does nothing for finger control, it's amazing for finger strength. Search online for recommended rep/set exercise routines. After using this for a few weeks, I feel that I can stream for longer without failing due to stamina.

A fair warning: If you exercise with this, don't play osu! for around ~12 hours because your fingers will be completely done after using this. It's better to use it before you go to bed.

u/GentlemannBoss · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I always put some Goldbond foot powder on my feet (even between the toes) before putting the shoe on. If I find that my feet are extra sweaty that day, I'll throw some more foot powder on. If you use too much, though, your shoes will get all gritty and gross on the inside; just put some in your hand and rub it all over your foot.

Shoe stink in boat shoes is inevitable, but not wearing your shoes every day definitely helps. You can even throw some dryer sheets in there while you're not wearing them to help out (well, I don't know if this actually helps, but I do it anyway).

u/hometowngypsy · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I use these shoe deodorizer inserts:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YCT5EA6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_V3U8BbNWKW824

And this is the spray:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076KSBGG6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_X6U8BbH3YDNK2

I also use a powder on my feet / in my shoes in the heat of summer (I live in a super humid, super hot place) so I need all the help I can get. It has helped immensely. I used to have to actually trash shoes because they’d smell so bad, but with this method I can’t even tell I’ve worn them usually. And my closet smells amazing.

u/katrinam42 · 1 pointr/etiquette

If it doesn't irritate your eczema you could try wearing some Gold Bond powder or powder spray on your feet every day. There are also Odor Eaters shoe insoles that help with the smell. There are tons of other foot odor products out there that could help. Just try some until you find something you like.

u/TKG8 · 1 pointr/streetwear

works fantastic and smells nice like tea tree mint not to overpowering and as far as the body powder it's gold bond body powder (the green bottle)

These finger strengtheners are a great gift for musicians (especially guitar and bass players) as they work each finger individually and also double as stress relievers: http://www.amazon.com/Strengthener-Exerciser-Athletes-Musicians-Climbers/dp/B00JVR21FU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450456380&sr=8-3&keywords=finger+strengthener+musicians

I like this glove deodorizer I got off amazon, I wipe down the inside of my gloves with the same mixture as you once a week. I usually spray my shoes down with this deodorizer daily. I have a bunch of these mini deodorizers that I put in my gym bag + sneakers on my way home. Haven't had one foul smell emerge from my bag/gear to date so I think I'm doing everything right lol.

ETA: I wash all my clothing (socks, shirts, leggings/shorts)/sports bras with a odor eliminator along with laundry detergent as well.

I use Fresh scent but this is what I use. It's rly cool to the touch but DON'T spray too close or that coolness becomes like icy hot. Spray from a distance so it's more spread out.

u/OJPimps0n · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Try this stuff. It's a miracle what it eliminates and for how long. Three applications and you are good for nearly 6 months.

I have super sweaty feet that my family can smell across the house. I started using this on my feet and idk how, but it drastically reduced the sweat, so a lot less smell, and gives it a bit of a minty scent. It might help.

u/InaneD · 3 pointsr/bouldering

There are a few simple things you can do that will help #1. dont put your shoes in a gym bag when your done climbing, leave them where they can breath and dry out faster. #2 I use Lumi shoe spray from time to time, link is below. #3 put them in a bag in your freezer for a day or 2 it will kill most of the bacteria and will help knock the edge off some. #4 if they are super funky toss them in the washer on cold / cold then let them air dry, they will come out smelling like new.

u/Wforwumbo · 1 pointr/phish

This is the stuff to get, man. Sometimes if my shoes start smelling I'll hit them with a spray or two inside as well, or some gold bond foot powder.

My god this is starting to sound like an advert... But I swear, it works.

u/Captain_Gainzwhey · 6 pointsr/Fitness

This is by far the best powder to eliminate smell in your footwear:

https://www.amazon.com/SENSE-Natural-Smelly-Foot-Powder/dp/B00O2DQO4C

I use it in my skates, sneakers, and work shoes every time they start to get a little stinky. Using too much leads to a weird paste build-up inside, but they definitely don't stink, and they keep my work backpack from getting too funky.

u/DronePirate · 1 pointr/golf

That's cool. Do you mean some medicated stuff for athletes foot or any type of foot spray like this stuff.

I've bought these stickers, and they do not leave any residue. I do peel them off right after I'm done with them though.

u/RainbowSpectrum · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

spray powder summer is coming. We finally found some around here but it was methol flavored. That's not refreshing near your sensitive areas. That's all i am saying lol

I took a sip of something poison, but I'll hold on tight

Thanks for contest and the doctor shout out ;)

u/daaangerz0ne · 4 pointsr/LifeProTips

Alternately, shoe spray is a thing

Edit: Wow talk about close minded. I've used this stuff in my work boots for 4 years and counting. Eliminates smells and makes my feet not itchy.

u/Rocket92 · 4 pointsr/AskReddit

If you want to suggest something to him Gold Bond Medicated Foot Powder

Works wonders for smell, and gives you a nice tingly feeling in your feet.

Just don't put it anywhere else.

u/dangoodspeed · 1 pointr/AskReddit

I've only seen yellow ("original strength") and the green ("triple strength medicated"). This blue one ("Maximum strength medicated") is new to me! It says foot powder, but does anyone actually use it on their feet? Update: You can buy the blue on Amazon.

u/SteelToedSocks · 5 pointsr/veganfitness

Couple years ago I was looking into this same topic since my regular vegan deodorant just wasn't cutting it. Basically I ended up looking for something with a good amount of zinc oxide powder and no aluminum (it's what stains your shirts). I've been using this foot powder as a whole-body deodorant solution. Don't laugh, shit works marvelously and it prevents fungal issues on the feet and groin too.

u/Special_Kei · 1 pointr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Another chime in for foot powder This works pretty well

u/megustachef · 1 pointr/KitchenConfidential

I love this spray on powder. way less messy than starching yourself.

u/sushidrew · 1 pointr/bouldering

Thanks for your feedback! I just checked out this and I'll post some results here! I don't normally have stinky feet, but it's only after climbing where I always have to hit the shower immediately.

u/CUMSUCKING_POZ_FAG · 2 pointsr/askgaybros

Hey there, I had a similar problem for a loooong time. My balls smelled like fish food no matter what I did. Until, on a whim, I put this stuff http://amzn.com/B005ML8J8C on my balls, taint, and around the base of my penis for several days in a row. Got rid of the smell for several months, then when it came back I did another round of it and the smell was gone for good. It really works.

Note that the only ingredient in it is zinc oxide. You can get it much, much cheaper in bulk rather than packaged for this brand, for instance here http://amzn.com/B00DZ3YTGK It's toxic if you inhale it, and the powder is very fine, so be careful when you use it.

this has good reviews, just look around google and amazon for other options.

I think the people that make Fresh Balls(lotion that drys into a powder and stops swamp balls) make a foot version too.

A cap full of this (pea sized) will kill bacteria and odor for like a year! Stuff is amazing. Worked on leather boots that had the wet musky odor.

Gold Bond, seriously. But make sure to dust it out after use.

u/Eskaminagaga · 1 pointr/NoStupidQuestions

Nope, something like this. It is basically just baking soda, talcum powder, and herbs to smell fresh and reduce chafing. A friend of mine had a bad foot odor and it wasn't until he started using it that it went away.

u/max_rey · 0 pointsr/MuayThai

I use all natural foot spray just after training. Basically a mix of essential oils that I am now going to make myself . Just get a spray bottle and add which hazel as the base , plus several drops of tea tree and peppermint oil or other anti fungal essential oils

"On your toes" foot powder did wonders for my husband. We had tried everything. This stuff actually kills the bacteria. It honestly works. I get it on Amazon. I alternate between spraying mine with gear spray (vodka, Febreeze, tea tree oil is my preferred blend) and using this foot powder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O2DQO4C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can't wear socks with my skates, so they used to smell TERRIBLE. Like, I couldn't stand to have them in the car with me, they only went in the trunk. Now, they're definitely smelly if you stick your nose up in them, but you can't smell them if you're just within a couple feet.

I had the same issue with my defys. I put them in the washing machine. The sent went away partially. Then I used this:

Kinda. Foot powder exists.

Since smelly feet is caused by moisture, etc. Using this can help to minimize any issues with smell which in effect is a kind of 'deodorant.'

My boyfriend is a bartender, so he's on his feet 12-13 hours a day, and his shoes get wet, and don't really have a chance to dry. His feet fucking SMELL, like I make him take a shower before he gets in bed and they still stink up my sheets even after he washes them.

The problem is, once the bacteria is in the shoes, it gets on your feet and your feet re-infect the shoes even if you wash/disinfect them. So you have to treat shoes and feet at the same time. It's just an overgrowth of bacteria on wet/warm surfaces.

This foot powder is miraculous. You use it for three days and put it in your shoes and it gets rid of the smell completely. There's enough in it for a few treatments, too.

I dont skate barefoot but I did have an unfortunate stink incident with my winter boots. I used this on my feet before wearing them and it seemed to work pretty well.

u/Bignick73 · 2 pointsr/BarefootRunning

Sunlight as mentioned before. I use this stuff and it helps a lot, even spray my feet before going sock-less. Either way the stench is bacterial so you need some sort of antimicrobial treatment.

u/personal_failure · 2 pointsr/bigboobproblems

I highly recommend Gold Bond Spray Powder for underboob moisture control.

Just don't get the one that is supposed to be cooling because that shit burns.

Im a doctor, obviously nothing I say here replaces what your doctor says and you should go to them with any/all concerns, seriously. No internet advice replaces actually seeing a doctor in person. But to make you feel a bit better in the short term:

In terms of the frequency of pooping, if that is your baseline # of poops a day for a long time it is unlikely to be worrisome. Everyone has their "set point," but it shouldn't be accompanied by any of the following:

-pain with defecation

-alternating frequency (i.e. if its 4-5 x a day for a few days, then nothing for a week, 4-5x a day again, etc)

-blood in the bowel movements

-loose stools (they should generally be well formed)

-change in the size of your stool (i.e. it used to be thick but now is the width of a pencil, etc)

-abdominal pain or rectal pain/urgency relieve with defecation

-really any known autoimmune disease

thats off the top of my head. Again, ask your doctor to evaluate. This is just to make you feel better in the moment.

In terms of the sweat, unless there is itching, pain or redness with it it is likely just sweat. Literally. Some people just sweat more. If you have any other symptoms besides wetness go see your doc, or even if you cant get a good look just go see your doc, they will take a look. If it has been a chronic issue unlikely to be an infection (would have gotten bad enough to make you go to the doctor). Main things to do are:

-Wear cotton/breathable underwear

-Use drying powders (baby powder)

-Use drying spray. I assume you'd rather order from amazon, here is a link for something that should work. https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Bond-Absorbing-Relieving-Mess-Free/dp/B00J2V3IOI/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=body%2Bsweat%2Bspray&qid=1571240756&sr=8-4&th=1

MAJOR NOTE: NOT MEANT TO BE SPRAYED INTERNALLY, JUST ON THE PART OF YOUR CRACK WHERE YOUR BOOTY SKIN "TOUCHES EACH OTHER." DONT GET THE ONE WITH MENTHOL IN IT...THAT WILL BURN

Hope this helps. Again, lawyers would tell me to say that this is NOT official advice. See your doctor if you have any concerns.

you can always try washing your shoes in the washing machine. I'll have a problem like this in the summers sometimes. I have recovered bad shoes to OK status by using these 2 things: Gold Bond Foot spray and Anti-Icky Poo

I think my socks have been the problem. New socks are better than old beat up ones

This powder was all that worked for me: On Your Toes

It feels gross but does last a long time and works. Also, you don't use much at all, so one tube lasts a looong time.

Every night after a delivery session I take out my insulated bags from my car and wipe them down with Wet Ones wipes or Purell wipes then I spray some tea tree on my seats and upholstery. Don't leave your bags in the car or trunk. Here's a link to the tea tree spray that I use

"On Your Toes" powder from Amazon works amazingly well. My feet/boots stunk so bad until I discovered this bactericide powder. Most powders you purchase just attempt to cover the smell, but this one actually kills the bacteria.

I use this deodorizing spray called 'Rocket Pure.' It's got strong minty scent to it and works wonders. I don't necessarily have a problem with my boots stinking, but my feet and my barefoot shoes were TERRIBLE, 2-3 sprays to the sole of the shoe or 1-2 per foot completely gets rid of the stinky foot smell for a few days, depending on your perspiration level.
