Hmm. It depends on your GF's interests, but my suggestion would be to get her something that she'll see/use on a daily basis. For example, my BF sent me a commitment-type ring (nothing too expensive, but something I can wear that reminds me he cares) and a journal since journaling is a hobby of mine. He's also given me stuffed animals, figures from an anime I like, and a shirt that smells like his body spray (kinda weird I know, but it's comforting). If a bracelet like the one you mentioned existed (don't think it does, sadly) I'd love one of those. Since she's going to school, other things like a really nice pen or a lanyard and holder for her student ID (I'm assuming college) are a good idea. That last one would be really nice, since she'd probably use it daily. This is the kind of thing I use, and I like it a lot ( https://www.amazon.com/Yeeasy-Holder-Lanyard-Leather-Wallet/dp/B0769C4CZY/ref=sr_1_40?keywords=lanyard+card+holder&qid=1565211636&s=gateway&sr=8-40 ).

If you're more of a DIY person, you could make her a bracelet or necklace (you can get supplies for these from most arts and craft stores), or customize a box for her. This is something I like to do for my BF. Instead of sending him things in a cardboard box, I'll get a wood box from an arts store and paint it his favorite colors using acrylic paint. Other one-off ideas I can think of are:

*Photo album with commentary (remember when...)

*A collection of "open when" letters. (You can find a bunch of examples on google. Just look up "open when letters.")

  • Make a personal design for a shirt and get it off a site like Zazzle or Redbubble
  • If she's a type-A kind of person, maybe get her a planner for the upcoming year and customize it for her. (Stickers, writing messages on pages, little inside jokes, quotes, uplifting messages, etc.)
  • If you're feeling more confident, get a ticket/plan to visit and give her the proof of purchase/plan as a gift

This is all I can name off the top of my head. Hope some of these help! :)

Attach your cutter to one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002SQ9P5K/ref=twister_B01DLMK82S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 it makes using your box cutter much simpler and faster. Your cutter will always be where you need it, and to put it back at your side you just let go of it. Considering how often you use your cutter, the little time savings will add up

Have the person who does the paper towel aisle save you 3 to 6 big boxes, maybe even more depending on the aisle, and use those to throw your trash into. Don't break down any of the card board trays like the ones the coffee comes in, for example, or any little small boxes like a spice comes in, just throw those in the box. That will save you time and energy, especially if you have a lot of them like on the vegetable aisle. Then when you have to bale your trash, you only have to throw a few big boxes in the baler instead of a bunch of small ones. Should save a little time there too.

There's always a bit of walking to the back room you have to do, maybe you forgot to grab something, or maybe you need to use the restroom. I use a 'bascart' to run back and forth to save energy and wear and tear on my knees. There's a bit of a trick to it if you don't know how to do it. You want to set your belly on the handle so that the cart is holding a lot of your weight. You're not holding yourself up with your arms, a lot of people try to do it like that. Then you just run. It's really fast and saves quite a bit of time, and it's easier on your body than walking back and forth through the night. *obviously use caution, especially turning around blind corners, and probably don't do it when customers are there.

My last tip, I guess, is more controversial, lol. Kroger doesn't like it when you spot stuff, and for some aisles they are right. Water aisle for example, would just be stupid to spot. But from my experience spotting is actually faster than working off the buggy, and the reason Kroger doesn't like spotting is because most of the desk jockeys that run Kroger have never stocked long term, and they don't understand how grinding stocking can be over time. If you spot correctly it will save you walking, it will save you from having to hold heavy boxes in your hand, and it will make getting up and down from a kneeling position faster and easier on your body. First, you want to set the buggy in the best spot on the aisle. Then spot the things that are close to you on the ground, and the things that are further away just slide them to their general location (as long as you can do that without damaging them). This will save a lot of walking back and forth from the shelf to the buggy. Once everything is spotted you do a more specific spotting on the things you slid, that way the aisle isn't a mess. When you're done it should look neat, not with boxes thrown everywhere. Then when it's time to start stocking set up what I call a "trash train". I set my bascart ahead of me and use that for misplaced items and my discarded plastic. Then I have by crate to stand on for stuff on the top shelf. Then behind me I pull an empty cart with my big paper towel boxes to throw my trash into. I start at the front of the aisle on one side and slowly move around the aisle until I'm done. The benefit of this method is everything you need, ie your crate and something to separate your trash into, is right by you at all times. When you need to stock something on a high shelf you can set it up on the buggy handle and not have to strain your back, also allowing you to easily use two hands. Furthermore, for items on the bottom shelf getting up and down from that position can be taxing over time, but with your crate by you and your buggy you can use those to help you up.

Developing this approach over time, my case count went up from around 60 per hour to 80 cases per hour, and if I have to I can sprint stock over 90 an hour. (Edit: That's the other benefit of this method I forgot to mention, it seems to be easier to get in a really fast flow, where as stocking from the cart it's hard to reach those really high numbers). Despite working significantly faster than the "official" Kroger method, I quit having a constantly soar back. Good luck.

A few of my go-tos:

  • This or a similar cutting tool - The one I have is made by Skil, but I couldn't find it online for an affordable price (I paid like $24). It cuts through cardboard, fabric and all sorts of other stuff in a snap, making box resizing much easier.
  • Melamine Sponges
  • C-22 Lace Wig Adhesive Remover - this stuff works better than Goo Gone and won't damage delicate plastics or resin the way Goo Gone will. Also, it smells like oranges and is perfectly safe on your skin - people literally rub it on their scalps!
  • Electrical Wire Ties - Super handy for making cords on your electronic items look neat and "newer". I have them in both black and white.
  • Clear Round Stickers - I use these CONSTANTLY as opposed to tape for sealing up boxes where the item needs to look as new as possible - perfect for board games and really any retail packaging - never use regular clear tape!!

No. There’s a really good one I know.

Steal a whole stack of blank gift cards from Walmart. I usually go for the birthday ones, wedding ones, because people load more to them. (Proven;). Now take em home and scratch the silver strip thingy and note all the numbers down. Pin, card number and barcode photo (just in case but I’ve never used the barcode)

Next go buy scratch off labels from amazon I promise this will be the best 6.98 you’ve ever spent.
Put the labels back on the gift cards, walk back into Walmart and put the cards back on the shelf.

Now just wait for someone to load them.
Then make a Walmart account using a throwaway email. Download the Walmart app and be sure to disable location permission on your phone(which ideally will be iPhone due to googles willingness to rat people out). Next add the cards since you noted the PIN and card number earlier.
Shopping spree time. Spend the balance online in the Walmart app or use Walmart pay in store.
Poor gift card purchaser. This is kinda a dick move tbh but who cares. Your making money here(and seriously I don’t give or accept gift cards, I give cash and sell gift card I get on rare occasion for cash so no karma here;)

u/robusto_esplendido · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofCards

Oooo lala, what a great haul!! I'm so glad RAoC was able to brighten your day and remind you that you are cared for <3 Ahaha, and I'm really glad you got a kick out of the JT card :D

As far as the stamp, I bought this one in a moment of desperation in December. I typically wouldn't have bought the one with interchangeable letters, but I needed two day delivery around the holidays! It turned out to be pretty good :)

u/benlucky13 · 29 pointsr/ActLikeYouBelong

never done anything like this myself, but i have some ideas to get around the hologram. works best if it's just 1 small hologram.

whether it's a hanging placard or a window sticker it's the same general idea. buy some holographic stickers and use an exacto knife or whatever you can to cut out a shape vaguely resembling the logo needed. the general shape is the important part, not the fine details.

now make it look like it's a piece of shit. peel back the hologram section of a window sticker and muck up your window where it would've been so it looks like the adhesive is crap, and obscures the hologram portion of the sticker.

if it's a placard they'll almost always have a thin plastic film over it that has the hologram. use a screen protector to imitate this. now do the same thing as the window sticker, and peel back the portion of the film that would be on the hologram, and be sure to get just enough dust and grime in the adhesive so it's murky.

be sure to borrow a friends so you can measure the sizes and proportions as closely as possible.

best of luck!

u/JayFay75 · 2 pointsr/virtualreality

Your drawing resembles the hose arm in the ceiling of a self-serve car wash. That’s just like the idea I had, and you know by now it doesn’t really exist for this application

I built something that’s pretty close. I think it works well and is easier to explain to guests than if I’d hung dog leashes from the ceiling

I bolted this adjustable lighting boom to a wall adjacent to my CPU about 8ft up, with two heavy duty retractable keyfobs attached...one at the tip, another at the baseplate. I recommend the 8oz; stronger versions pull too strongly on your head and neck

Definitely requires some time tinkering with many variables to maximize reach, minimize tension, and prevent damage to anything attached or within its range of motion

Good luck

Haha, it's almost not too far off. I was just thinking the other day about how weird a nail painting arsenal must seem to someone who isn't into it. In my nail art basket, I have:

  • A makeup sponge (gradients, galaxy nails)

  • Tiny magnets (for magnetic polishes)

  • Tape - regular tape and tiny striping tape

  • Binder reinforcement stickers (for half moon manis)

  • Spray hand sanitizer (water spotted nails)

  • Toothpicks

To us it's normal, but to my boyfriend it was "Why do you need spray hand sanitizer to paint your nails?" xD
u/basicwizardry · 1 pointr/EDC

I've been using one of these for over a year with no problems.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002SQ9P5K/ref=psdcmw_12900971_t1_B0039YY2QM

Key-Bak SUPER48 - lightweight, well made, strong retractable kevlar line and sturdy pocket clip.

I clip it directly on my belt, somewhere between my front and back pocket (depending on where the belt loops are on my pants).

I also use one of those pull apart key rings for my car key (and any other things that need more than momentary use), and keep a spare on the main part of the Key-Bak. That way my keys never actually leave my person.

I just put the whole bundle of keys etc in my back pocket, and it stays put and quiet. The line stays retracted even with a good amount of weight, so it doesn't hang any lower than you need it to.

That's my system, good luck on finding yours!

u/umlautss · 5 pointsr/bujo

I love the stamps as-is! But just wanted to share that you can get stamp kits with holders to align the letters.

Your post reminded me I got one from a thrift store a while ago, going to try and dig it out now...

Looks like Amazon even has self-inking ones, kind of cool.

u/cata_tonic · 2 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

The best part of Ringke cases are the holes that let you attach a wrist strap. If I'm wearing something with pockets there's no way my 6P is going to fit, but I'm too worried about dropping it to just carry it in my hand. With a wrist strap you can have both hands free to carry food, your wallet or whatever.

u/anonymousforever · 2 pointsr/ChronicPain

I can't think of anything designed to go with a closed door hinge. However, if you have a smooth metal door, can you use a portable handicap suction mounted handgrip stuck to the door? Just an idea to consider.

The only other thing I can think of is to see if they'll allow the installation of a support grip just outside the door that's short like this as long as you bought it and agreed to pay for the install, (as well as the removal when you leave - I think that's required when the modification is reversible), unless you get a waiver in writing, of course, before moving.

The only other thought I have is to use a retractible leash for your keys that you can attach to your clothing, or bag, like this so that your keys are not attached to your cane for the purpose of getting indoors. I'd say, use the key leash, hook to your belt or bag strap, and do it that way.

u/scarsouvenir · 3 pointsr/planners

Honestly, I'd just try and make your own. The basic version of the Silhouette software is free to download, and there are tutorials on Youtube for how to make your own checkboxes.

Buy some sticker paper from Amazon and then you can print them yourself. You can shop around and read some reviews, but here is a pack of 100 glossy sheets for $10.

It'll be somewhat of an investment up front, but that works out to only 10 cents per sheet. Even if you go to FedEx like I do and pay 65 cents per page for printing, that's still only 75 cents for a full 8.5 by 11 sheet. Most Etsy sheets I've seen are like half that size and 5 times as expensive.

u/atomicdragon136 · 3 pointsr/shortcuts

I bought these https://www.amazon.com/Ntag215-Compatible-Amiibo-Enabled-Devices/dp/B07PFC2FH5

They are very cheap, you can look for them on Amazon, eBay, Wish, etc.

I am unsure what chip types works, but it seems like NTAG 215 is the most popular

u/xdeadgirlx · 1 pointr/InstacartShoppers

I bought a 100 pack of sticker paper that are the size of regular paper sheets off amazon for $12. I printed on them 5 star reviews help deliver food to your family and ours with IC logo and a picture of 5 stars. It looks nice. I fit 6 on a sheet and slap one on the outside of the bag with the delicate items in it.
I called IC and asked if it was ok to do and the lady said I don't see why not.
2 weeks later all of a sudden the in store oppers at wegman's have new stickers and they have to put them om 1 bag per order that are very simliar to mine.

I definitely noticed a little difference and get more ratings. 600 stickers for $12, well worth it.

People sell preprinted stickers on etsy too, but my way was cheaper and my stickers are bigger and more noticeable.

In case anyone wants the sticker paper....

Okay, sorry for the delay. Here is the simple way to do it. Please read the instructions first, there are some things that need to be downloaded first.

Instructions

Paper

I recently printed 240 munzees for myself. I used three pages of the paper ($1.50), printed at OfficeMax ($.45), then cut. So for about $2.00, I got 240 munzees, laser printed on weatherproof sheets for less than a penny each.

Notes: When you are ready to print, save your designs as a PDF. Look at it before printing, making sure you dont waste anything. I usually print mine around .75" which give me 80 per page.

If you have more questions, PM me.

After doing a #2, I stood up and hit the flush lever. As I reached over to hit the button, I managed to bump my work badge & spring reel off my belt, watch it fall into the toilet, and then flush down.

Had to explain to security where my badge was. They had "If found, please drop in any mailbox postage guaranteed" on the back if it. I'm glad that I never got it back.

u/sashaeva · 1 pointr/PSVR

have you heard of retracted keychain leash?

https://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Retractable-Chain-Stainless-Cable/dp/B00416DLOQ

get your PSVR box behind TV, then put 2 of such leashes on the ceiling, when you play - retract and put cable in anchors, it will get enough suspension, you need no cable on your shoulder.Do some design.

I just cannot understand how you guys enjoy your play, while always touching this square box right on your feet.

u/sgimips · 2 pointsr/sandiego

I don't know about a kiosk but you can order blank vinyl sticker paper for use with laser printers on-line. They are pretty durable but if you have access to a laminator you can run the sheet through that after printing.

Do any of them come with a prepaid postage envelope? If so, I've read people have success with loading those envelopes with extremely heavy items (or even taping it to a box with a brick in it) and mailing it back to them with a note to remove them from the mailing list. That would work for the company mail. For mail from individuals (e.g. the inmate), could try getting a "Return To Sender" stamp and dropping it in the mail.

u/JustTrustMeOnThis · 1 pointr/motorcycles

I don't have this problem but if i understand correctly, would something like this work?

u/t0mmyr · 4 pointsr/teslamotors

I’m guessing these will work for black cars? https://www.amazon.com/Jiaxing-Sticker-Compatible-Programmable-30-Pieces%EF%BC%88Black%EF%BC%89/dp/B07P63B5YQ looks like they’re 5mm smaller, does size matter? What sort of range can we expect? I imagine less than 6” or?

u/Thenosyt · 109 pointsr/teslamotors

UPDATE: It works when adhering it to the back of the circular cover. Now it’s out of sight.

I'll one up you. I have a retractable clip on card and key holder that holds two cards (credit and ID) like this. Much easier since then I never have to take it off every time I use my keys, and it allows me to get rid of my wallet most of the time too. I wouldn't hole punch your real id.... most places will take a photo copy, those that won't will very likely take your real, expired ID because they won't notice it's expired.... unless you hole punch it. If you're so inclined, grab yourself a sheet of mailing labels. You can use MS word's labelling function to create a full sheet of labels that read:

Addressee has moved

Please forward to:

[Put their new address here]

When a piece of their mail shows up, slap a label on it, put it back in the mailbox and lift the flag. Or you can just write it out on the envelope, but if you get a lot of this stuff, the labels become more convenient.

The mail will get forwarded to them at their new address, and the Post office will also get the hint after a few of these to start automatically forwarding their mail.

I use retractable badge holders (in the same aisle as paper clips and such at Wal Mart, in 3-packs for $2) zip-tied to the top of the bong, with another zip tie securing a lighter. You can just let go of it when you're done, and it's always in the same place.

It was only after I started using these that I ever used up the butane in a Bic lighter; I usually lost them weeks before they'd run out :D.

Here is a link for the sticker sheets. They are 8.5 x11” and can probably go into most printers.

You can let him know that he need to change his address with those companies. Write "Return to Sender. Not at this address." on the envelopes and dump them in the nearest outgoing mailbox. If it is a lot of mail, you might want to invest $10 in one of those "Return to Sender" stamps to simplify the process.

As a delivery man trying to move as fast as possible, I have locked my keys in many times.... I have found a solution, though. Get a Keybak retractor: https://www.amazon.com/KEY-BAK-SUPER48-Retractable-Polycarbonate-Oversized/dp/B002SQ9P5K/ref=pd_sbs_229_t_0/145-3253223-8232768?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B002SQ9P5K&pd_rd_r=beba2bae-2d88-477a-a91a-1a4e0aa73a9a&pd_rd_w=FACV5&pd_rd_wg=gp7UY&pf_rd_p=5cfcfe89-300f-47d2-b1ad-a4e27203a02a&pf_rd_r=Z6YE4JAYMAADKSA25TZN&psc=1&refRID=Z6YE4JAYMAADKSA25TZN

then keep another spare key on your belt loop on a caribeener. It's literally impossible to lock yourself out, if you have both keys on you. It is possible for the retractor key to get stuck on the seatbelt receptable as you slam the door shut and locked, however... That's what the second key is for. I haven't locked my keys inside with this method ever.

I got tired of string on mine fraying and then breaking all the time, and I was worried that I'd end up losing my pass cards that I keep in them.

I ended up switching these a few years ago:

They're bulkier than the kinds most people get, but they last a much longer time.

Every item location tracker I've researched (Tile, Cube, Trackr, etc.) requires some monthly subscription fee and/or has reviews indicating design failure. Clearly this technology has some kinks to work out across the board before they're ready for everyday use. I even tried the BCKAKQA and discovered that it would disconnect from my phone for literally no reason at all, which would cause the alarm to panic.

I have eyeglass retainers for keeping my sunglasses around my neck and a retractable keychain that keeps my keys attached to my belt. I also have a chain that does the same for a travel wallet. (Use a leather hole punch to fasten the chain and wallet.) It makes me look fucking weird but hell it works.
