š Reddit experts on bed pillows
The comments and opinions expressed on this page are written exclusively by redditors. To provide you with the most relevant data, we sourced opinions from the most knowledgeable Reddit users based the total number of upvotes and downvotes received across comments on subreddits where bed pillows are discussed. For your reference and for the sake of transparency, here are the specialists whose opinions mattered the most in our ranking.
One thing I have learned over the years is that while quality can be expensive, it doesn't have to be. Also, what one person loves and thinks is the "softest set of sheets ever!!!!" can feel like sandpaper to another person. (OK that's two things. Oh well.)
I have major sleep and texture issues, so I have spent a lot of years perfecting my bedding. After much searching and much cost, I ended up finding out that the Target UltraSoft sheets are my second favorite ever (to some discontinued Lands' End knit, their current knit is not the same.) I love that these sheets come in individuals, so you can buy just the ones you need. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I just got a new pillowcase from Sheex at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and it is amazing. Someday I will get their Bamboo Sheet Set as my summer/alternate sheets.
For blankets, I'm a big fan of the warm fuzzy ones. Target again has some from a couple of their brands (Threshold and Shabby Chic) but I find they're not quite as good quality as they used to be. I have recently acquired a new SherpaSoft blanket from Bed, Bath, and Beyond which is amazing. It is thick, soft, and warm and happened to be on clearance plus I was able to use one of their coupons for it.
I absolutely love a down comforter, but I'm allergic to actual down. I stumbled across the Pinzon Down Alternative comforter at Amazon, I have had mine for nearly 5 years and it is still in excellent condition. Duvet cover is super personal depending on style, but if you have a thing for flannel, I highly recommend the Pinzon flannel duvet cover as well. Another thing I've had for years and love, the Pinzon 190-gram is my favorite flannel, even above LL Bean and Lands' End.
Due to some surprise issues (hello, holes in my former (not the Target) favorite sheets!) I also ended up going on a spree and replacing some bedding basics last weekend. I have a memory foam topper on my mattress, which means I needed a cotton mattress pad/cover otherwise my topper turned into a heat-generating slab of concrete. I tried something from a local store that didn't work, ended up back at Amazon for the Zen Bamboo Ultra Soft Mattress Topper. Slept on it last night and it was fabulous.
And finally, after a couple of failures, I stumbled across this adjustable! pillow from Coop Home Goods on Amazon, which is absolutely amazing. I like a soft pillow but need neck support, but most pillows are too thick for me. I love that you can simply zip the pillow open and remove a bit of the fill, or add more if you like a firmer pillow (they sell additional fill linked from the pillow page.)
Congratulations on your new house, and good luck with your bedding shopping! A well-attired bed makes the whole experience so much nicer.
Created an account after months of lurking to post this.
I have had sleep problems for as long as I can remember; without going into the symptoms, diagnoses, etc. in the interest of brevity, these are the steps I have taken to correct it:
Typical good sleep habits (Standard fare, I sometimes break these rules but stick to them whenever possible) -
Absolute darkness at bedtime (The end result is as close to pitch black as I can manage) -
Focusing on breathing - Random thoughts can easily keep me awake for several hours at a time, simply because I spend so much time thinking about them that my mind never "shuts off." A personal method that I came up with to combat this (I don't recall reading about it anywhere, it just occurred to me one night) is to concentrate on my breathing with the highest degree of focus possible, in hopes that my mind's resources are so fully devoted to the task that it has nothing left to have random thoughts with. It actually seems to work spectacularly. I am no longer "bored" when trying to go to sleep, because I am actively engaged in a task; sleep seems to occur within minutes.
TL;DR -
Comfortable mattress/pillow - When I first moved into my current apartment, I had no mattress or pillow; having only had springy hand-me-down mattresses up to this point, I decided to opt for the cheapest memory foam mattress I could find, and was so impressed that I later bought a memory foam pillow as well. $300-$350 overall with free shipping; the claims of the mattress being environmentally-friendly was a deciding factor for me (the free shipping even more so) but if you're unconcerned about that, consider it icing on the cake.
Light therapy - This form of treatment is apparently experimental; I myself have only been using it a few months, but it's been more effective than any of the five sleep medications I've tried. In a nutshell, an extremely bright light (20 times brighter than typical indoor lighting) acts as an artificial sun, prompting a "wake up" response from your body. By causing this response at the same time every day (within an hour of waking up) for a few weeks, your body naturally adjusts your internal clock accordingly.
The Phillips BriteLITE 6 was actually given to me free of charge by my medical provider. After a few months of using it I'm certain it's worth every penny, but I realize dropping $180 on an unproven method that you heard about on the internet probably seems unwise.
Obviously, try the above methods first, or try using natural sunlight if you live in a sunny area. If the above methods don't work, natural sunlight isn't available, or you just hate going outside, do some research on Circadian Rhythm Sleep Disorders (DSPS is one of them), Melatonin, etc., and consider it. I could go into more detail about the BriteLITE 6 if you'd like, or make a separate AMA for my experience with Light Therapy (remember, I'm no doctor; this is just something I'm trying, am thoroughly impressed with, and want to spread the word about). Otherwise, good luck to you, sir.
EDIT: Fixed the bullet point formatting, added bold to the different methods.
I see you like Harry Potter. I am a fan of this throw. Or you could get the Marauder's Map! This is also really cool. You need.
I love Harry Potter collectibles. I'm in the process of acquiring all the Horcruxes right now.
If I win I really need a new pillow. It's $1.50 over, so a giftcard towards it would be amazing.
Thank you for the contest and I hope you feel better soon!
Also I just saw you're from Michigan as well! Rad. Are you thinking of going to the meet-up?
Hi! Itāll get better once you get on a medication that works for you i promise. The same thing happened to me and Iām 21. I lost 10 pounds, couldnāt eat or sleep and I was having intense chest pain.
To help with sleep I would highly recommend an elevated pillow. I got this one on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01FINTS4M?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
As for eating, I found that cold stuff helped me so Iād drink smoothies frequently. Itās different for everyone but definitely stay away from highly acidic foods.
The medicine Iām on is Omeprazole. I started on 80mg per day (40mg in morning and then at night). After 3 days I felt some relief and was able to eat again. It only improved from there!! I also drink probiotics every morning and I feel like theyāve made a difference.
I hope this helps! If you have more questions then feel free to send me a message!
Xtreme Comforts Shredded Memory Foam Pillow
I used to always sleep with two regular pillows, but just one of these has been perfect every night. Stays pretty cool and is extremely comfortable. Its softer than straight memory foam but still has a lot of support.
I found it on Wirecutter so see their review for more in depth: https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-bed-pillows/
I use this pillow and it stays very cool. It can be a little weird to use at first since you have to shape it how you want but once you get it right it stays that way and itās very comfortable. I like having different types of pillows so I got the thin and the normal ones. Thin are better if you like to sleep on your back or front, normal are pretty thick but good for side sleeping and propping yourself up to watch a movie or something.
It's a bit pricey at nearly $60 but I got one of these memory foam/bamboo pillows last year and it's pretty awesome.
https://www.amazon.com/Snuggle-Pedic-Ultra-Luxury-Combination-Adjustable-Hypoallergenic/dp/B0725349FN/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=bamboo+pillow&qid=1556198652&s=home-garden&sr=1-4
To be honest, when it first arrived it was a little too thick but they have a zipper that lets you easily remove some of the shredded memory foam so you can get it to the size you want.
This is the pillow I bought and itās amazing:
Coop Home Goods - Eden Shredded... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZHMODV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Itās shredded memory foam and itās a pretty cool pillow to lay on (literally). They give you instructions for how much fluff to have in your pillow for each type of sleeper (and it comes with A LOT of extra fluff). I paired it with a cheap $15 silk pillow case and itās perfect for winter or summer. Hope that helps (also if you do get it, the memory foamie smell it comes with goes away after a few days unless you put it in the dryer to get rid of it.
Hey again, just wanted to follow up because I ordered this pillow - and - this in indeed the exact pillow I've been looking for. Oh my, it's perfect in every way. I'm kind of mad because I wish I had known about this ten years ago. I hope my neck pain goes away but I can already tell I'll be a happy sleeper from here on out. I wanted to thank you for the awesome suggestion!!!
Ooooh wedding things! We had these at our wedding and EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PHOTOBOOTH, they're awesome! Our guests used them a whole bunch and it made for super funny pictures!
And in the home section, I highly suggest a good pillow. You won't believe the difference it makes! And we do spend most of our life sleeping.
You can't pick your friends nose! ;)
My grandmother has them and isn't impressed. I bought this one Amazon and I love it. They have great customer service and work with you to customize it the best way for you.

this was the pillow, its one of those cooling type ones but also specifically for side-sleepers. I really love it because it isn't too firm and is the perfect height!

Super fun contest!! :))
Need it cold? Think it's impossible?
Boom. This thread is done. GET OUT OF MY FACE if you think this isn't the best thing you've ever seen. This 30-something dollar purchase was the best money I've ever spent. Buckwheat is fucking weird, but I sleep like a champion with it.
I'll go on record right now: I won't ever review anything as highly as this pillow as long as I'm a subscriber to this reddit.
Disclaimer: I just searched for buckwheat pillow on amazon, results may vary by brand, but mine wasn't anything crazy expensive
Partially commenting because I'm interested in others' replies, but I have this identical mattress in queen size and plan to get one in king once we close on our new house and would like a topper as well.
Go to a Tempurpedic store and find out which bed is "right" for you, then aim for a topper to match the specs of that mattress.
A helpful salesman pointed me toward a bed with a firm, thicker base with a top layer that was 4 pound density, IIRC.
I've had a topper from overstock.com before similar to this, and hopefully I can match the feel of the Tempurpedic at 1/5 of the price. Or that's the plan anyway.
No specific suggestions on pillows. I have one of these, but I'm not sure how I feel about it honestly. Not strongly positive or negative really.
Hope this was helpful.
Yes, sleep is insanely important and anything that's disturbing it or your neck will cause issues. Go to a store like Bed, Bath and Beyond and try out some pillows if you can. If you get a memory foam, make sure to take your contacts out at night as they often dry out your eyes.
Pillow: http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Better-Iso-Cool-Gusseted-Standard/dp/B000ZK4QH8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1427469531&sr=8-3&keywords=pillow
^i have the standard one. It's very nice but needs a few days to air out. It doesn't stay 100% cool if you aren't a person that falls asleep quickly. Best description is that it is firm but giving. I use the gel insert below to deal with the coolness issues.
Cooling gel insert: http://www.amazon.com/GelO-Cool-Pillow-Mat-11/dp/B00D7TBHA8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1427469419&sr=8-2&keywords=chillow
I have 2 memory foam pillows that I sleep on and while I don't have migraines I did notice a considerable change in my sleep quality. I still have a lot of neck and upper back pain, but I tend to wake up less and they just feel better to sleep on since mine are a little firmer. I sleep with 2 pillows and I wonder if maybe the extra height is part of the problem, might try just one for a while.
I had a friend recommend a water pillow she absolutely loves it, but I don't have personal experience.
I bought this one about a year ago:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V909F1K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_wji.zbY80TAGC
It is really nice. Came recommended by Wirecutter. The filing is shredded memory foam. It is pretty firm though. Which I like and gives good support, but if you are used to really soft pillows it might seem weird.
It does tend to get compressed though, so you need to fluff it fairly often.
One great thing about it is that the whole pillow is machine washable.
About 18 months ago I got one of these bamboo pillows , and at the risk of sounding like a commercial, it took my chronic nighttime neck pain away. I had tried so many pillows over the years and they didnāt help. I saw someone on here mention it and I was skeptical but it worked. Didnāt improve my migraines, but I slept a lot better. Whoever you are that recommended it- thank you!
Totally depends on what kind of pillow you want!
My husband absolutely loves his memory foam countour pillow, something like this. I got an old friend of mine this pillow after he complained about always getting hot at night and I know he was still using it a year later. I personally just use $5 cheapies for my head but absolutely need a body pillow to get comfortable. I'm considering one like this because it's longer and firmer than the one I have now.
Firstly, I LOVE YOUR NECKLACES. Absolutely adorable. (I'm obsessed with keys!!)
My pamper items. I consider good sleep pampering hehe.

Also, did I mention that I love Kevin and his huge... 'ego?' ;)
Also, I bought a new pillow yesterday, and I'm in love with it. I slept really well last night, and I'm giving all of the credit to this awesome pillow. If you sleep on your side or back, consider buying this pillow, because it will change your life.
I recently got this one. The marketing for it says it's good for side and stomach sleepers. I've only had it for a week but it's been fantastic. As an added bonus, it seems to have helped with my mild sleep apnea, too. I have no hard evidence for this, it's only anecdotal, but I seem to be sleeping a lot more soundly and breathing better at night. I have no idea how long the pillow will last so I don't think I can say it's BIFL right now. We'll see how it holds up.
Good quality down pillows can be like fifty bucks. The whole reason OP is considering bringing a pillow is because he likes "good quality pillows". So it doesn't make sense to me that he should buy multiple cheap pillows.
its a little spendy but the high loft plush version of this pillow is the best I've tried. Really soft but still supports you.

Sorry that I can't give you a brand, but I bought mine from a local mattress manufacturer. It's made from the same talalay latex that my mattress is made of. Comes in soft, medium, firm. Firm is probably best for side sleepers like us. Very comfy. Look up talalay latex pillow. Expect to spend about $80.
Stay away from memory foam. It's a closed-cell foam and gets really hot because it can't breathe.
Edit: This looks close to what I have:

I got an amazing 12 inch one from Amazon!

I recommend a memory foam pillow like this one which I've had for four years and it is awesome. More like a thick cloud than a cloud per se. No affiliation.
The snoogle is just ok (but I realize I'm in the minority camp on this). Kinda pricey for the quality of pillow and really hurts my neck. I switch between a 3-pillow stack up to sleep on my back partially sitting up, and sleeping on my side with a pillow between my knees and sometimes the snoogle at the end of the bed for knee/back/hip support. I. CAN'T. GET. COMFORTABLE. Here are my other pillows: 1. Is the favorite pillow from the Sweethome:

I bought this pillow for myself Summer '14, still using it daily, and I am absolutely in love with it. I am a side sleeper and highly recommend this one. I actually bought one for my brother the following Christmas and he loves it as well.
(My apologies for the shitty link formatting, not too reddit savvy.)
I have a latex pillow that is wonderful. It's a Z by Malouf. I got it for $50 so I'm sure you can find something cheaper than amazon if you shop around. In the end, just buy what is most comfortable for you.
I bet that's an amazing pillow.
I use a waterbase pillow to adjust it to my desired thickness. :)
This pillow has the best of both options for side sleepers and back sleepers. Keeps your neck aligned correctly and at the perfect height. I have degenerative disc disease in my neck and this pillow helped me out a lot.

This is what I use. Amazon carries it. For me, it is just about perfect. Always cool, supportive and really comfortable. Also didn't have a strong chemical odor when it was brand new. Any odor it did have dissipated quickly. I feel really dorky saying this, but it is one of my favorite things.
This pillow and these computer glasses. I'd like to think life wise they'll be a little more helpful than a 3ds.
got this one. juts bought one before i buy more to see if i like but seemed the best based on various sites reviewinf

You two always look stunning of course. This pillow is something I need for sleeping. It's a cooling pillow and due to the amount of meds I take I get very hot when I sleep, ugh :( so unattractive!!
C'mon...gimme item would be This pretty necklace about mothers and daughters. Thanks for the generous contest you guys! <3
I went with these & they're fabulous. I'm not a fan of memory foam (too firm), otherwise I would have gotten this one (my husband has it & loves it).
I use this one It's so damned comfy and it stays pretty cool (I don't flip my pillow to the cool side anymore)
I like the memory foam personally.

I would strongly suggest a total of four pillows in case you have an ahem overnight guest. Looks nicer when the bed is made too.

best pillow ever. Depending on how much water is in it determines how firm/plush it is, and since it has water, it never gets hot. Always stays cool. I've never had to flip my pillow over since I've gotten this.
I sleep on a shikibuton. I bought it about 6 months ago after becoming interested in Japanese futons. Because I didn't want to break the bank to purchase an authentic one, I settled for this one.
I fold it up every morning, fold my blanket, and set it and my buckwheat pillow on top of it and set it away in my room.
Before this I was using an old mattress that was in the spare room of my grandma's where I live. Being that my grandma isn't too interested in the idea of minimalism, my room becomes a very calming place for me when I head up to bed at night.
EDIT:
Just thought of this after I posted. I wish I would've realized the idea of minimalism before I moved out of my apartment. I was already on the side of have fewer possessions than most people, but I hadn't gotten to the point were I realized it and was able to fine tune it. I was basically a minimalist that didn't know it and therefore didn't put much thought into it.
This pillow has helped me changed my habit of sleeping on my stomach. It is a little uncomfortable the first few nights, but after that you wonāt be able to sleep without. Good for people who want to better their sleep hygiene.
Tri-Core Pillow Full Size - Firm Support https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ET9TXQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_R7iJAbRMMMQ64
I recently bought a couple of these Coop pillows for my wife and I and OMG they are amazing. I've struggled for literally decades trying to figure out what combination of firmness, thickness, number of pillows, materials, etc.. works for me and have never found it. I've had neck and back pain for years.
While it might be a little early (I've had the pillows for about a month) to tell if the pillow has had a huge effect on back and neck pain, I will say that I happened to have a particularly bad bout with both going when I got the pillow and right now I have neither. I've found that I wake up waaaaaay fewer times throughout the night and my wife and I both snore less.
The pillow is amazingly comfortable. You can add and subtract foam (it comes with an extra sleeve of foam equivalent to about 1/4 of what's already in the pillow) to get the perfect thickness. It holds its shape all night and stays cool - I think I've flipped my pillow over maybe twice since I got it. Prior to getting this pillow I'd do it at least ten times in the night. The outer cover is removable and washable so if you drool all over it it doesn't eventually end up looking like an old pirate's treasure map. I can't say enough good things about this pillow.
"Iso-Cool pillow responds to a body's changing temperature by warming or cooling" ... Sounds way too good to be true.
I have this one (shredded memory foam, good for side sleepers) and I really like it! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V909F1K?tag=thewire06-20&linkCode=xm2&ascsubtag=AwEAAAAAAAAAAT0l
I've had good luck with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Water-Pillow-Mediflow-Original-Waterbase/dp/B003J372NS
I bought two Xtreme Comfort pillows in 2017 and they are stupid comfortable and still fluffy to this day. Only $55 - well worth it!
I have a latex pillow that Iāve had for, I donāt know, 6 years maybe and itās held up perfectly fine.
Z 100% Natural Talalay Latex Zoned Pillow - Queen - High Loft, Plush https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00382XCL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_mY3cAbJT86942
They make 4 different styles. High loft plush, high loft firm, low loft plush, and low loft firm.
For a side sleeper you want a high loft.
They also make them in king sizes.
Mediflow Original Waterbase Pillow
It's like sleeping on a cloud, and the firmness can be adjusted by filling in less/more water. The pillow is much cheaper in Europe though, I bought a twin pack for around $35, so it might be a good idea to shop around stop
This is the pillow I got in March for side sleeping: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZK4QH8/ref=ox_ya_os_product
Has been good for me so far. Make sure you get the 1'4" x 1'10" x 2" version, and not the contoured or regular style.
well that's easy. just take one of these:

voila!
I love my Iso-Cool pillow.
I'll throw my water pillow into the mix. I love this thing.
I really like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Better-Iso-Cool-Memory-Contour/dp/B000ZK7MPG/ref=pd_rhf_shvl_5
It keeps cool so your head doesn't get hot at night.
Girlsplaywow is a jerk, even though she really isn't!
I'd really like one of These I dont care that they are used. Or I need one of These.
By the way, this is an awesome contest. Thank you!
You are so amazing for doing this contest, over and over again. Funds are tight this month because SO's mom is flying us to Florida for her wedding, but expecting us to pay for all of the other costs -.- I really need new pillows.Like these ones. Not only are fluffy pillows more comfortable in general,I have been fighting a chest cold that makes it really hard to lay horizontally at night because of the fluid... resulting in at least an hour of hacking and coughing before I manage to fall asleep at night. Thanks again for the contest, you're awesome<3
I'm a side sleeper I use this Malouf latex pillow and I love it. Some off gassing but once you've had it for a while you'll be fine.
https://www.amazon.com/Malouf-Talalay-Latex-Zoned-Pillow/dp/B00382XCL6
You really need to get yourself this pillow I stayed at a friends and they had this pillow and its so amazingly comfortable and I slept so good!
I really would like this wig I'm freaking out about loosing my hair do to chemo in 2 weeks
Batman Suit
Edit: phrase
I don't know if that one's better, but I have an Iso-Cool pillow, and while it's better than nothing, it's not that great. I do have to flip it sometimes.
http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Better-Iso-Cool-Gusseted-Standard/dp/B000ZK4QH8
I got that one. I like it. Its quite heavy, very firm, and it does stay cool for me (not something I cared about when I bought it but its part of the advertised features).
I bought this one and it seems to be made for side sleepers. It's a little too thick for me, but I tend to like my pillows regular size.
I am due one day after you and am having similar issues. Two things have helped:
Also, if I go more than two nights without at least three hours, I take unisom, which has been approved by my OB.
I got one of these a few months ago: Mediflow Water Pillow because I was having a lot of neck pain. My favorite thing is that you control how much water goes in the base making it totally adjustable. :)
I use a TriCore pillow. It helps. https://smile.amazon.com/Core-Products-Tri-Core-Pillow-Full/dp/B000ET9TXQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3JD7JDCVSNRAK&keywords=tricore+pillow&qid=1564932163&s=gateway&sprefix=tricore+pill%2Caps%2C156&sr=8-3
Crap. I'm not taller taller than ^^^__ so can I still play?
The most important item on my list right now is this pillow because without it I wake up with MAJOR headaches and the one I have is totally flatty mcflattface now.
PS. Ruger (I have one at home!)
Hah, oddly enough I bought this Malouf pillow when I was drunk. Best purchase ever. I'll shop around for some extra pillow cases now I think.
Oh I really need a new pillow. My dog peed on it for the fourth time last night and I'm just tired of washing it and washing it and I thew it out. I'm using a folded up blanket right now :c
Weekend plans...clean up a bit around the house, do loads and loads of laundry and hopefully take my dog out for long walks! 1.21 Gigawatts.
This is some contest you're holding, you are a really giving person C:
I bought one of these about 2 weeks ago. It's perpetually the cool side of the pillow!
Yes, link indeed missing, here it is: https://www.amazon.com/Tri-Core-Cervical-Pillow-Full-Standard/dp/B000ET9TXQ/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_121_bs_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4KBG8QADR8ZBS17PN13D
Buckwheat isn't soft or comfortable exactly.. it is malleable though, so ideally you can set it up so it's got your head and neck aligned properly. It makes sense to me because it seems like the exact height of the core pillow only works for me some of the time, not all the time. They also sell water pillows that are adjustable for that reason.
Yo! Currently seeing it for $68 on Amazon!
Malouf Talalay Latex Zoned Pillow, Queen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00382XCL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_G7duxbRPHWYXA
I got mine from Amazon here. You can always order more buckwheat hulls to fill the pillow if you find that it lays too flat.

Any specific brand? I'm looking at the 30 dollar ones discounted from 120 to 100
LinenSpa
The Review Meta extension says that product has a lot of fake reviews. I see a lot of upvotes, can anyone else vouch for either this pillow or the sweethome being trustworthy? I don't want to accuse OP of being a shill, but I've been getting more and more wary of this kind of thing.
I have a pillow just like this with the shredded memory foam, it might be this same one. I like it a lot. It was firmer than what I was used to but it's grown on me and maybe it is just what I needed since I haven't woken up with neck pain or a headache since.
Like you said it does get packed down and you have to re-fluff it. I find that just throwing it in the dryer for a quick tumble un-compresses it and makes it fluffy again, I do this maybe once a month.

This is the one I use
Latex pillows last forever compared to the standard fiber-filled ones I kept having to replace every six months. I have this one. The only thing with latex is it's very bouncy and some people don't like that. (Especially when cats walk on your pillow, they bounce you around more than with a normal pillow.)
If you sleep on your stomach then you probably wouldn't like the pillow like I have. It doesn't squish down like a feather pillow does. You could try one of these pillows and maybe get the low loft one.
There's only so much you can change with a mattress, unfortunately. This pillow is pretty awesome and helped me out a lot.
The reality is that some of these symptoms won't go away. I'm a 25/M with the same diagnosis, so I can relate. The worst part about this dignosis is you can't cure a lot of the problems, you just have to work on coping mechanisms.
My brother has the same problem (the jaw popping) and it completely went away when he started sleeping with a buckwheat pillow at night, instead of a regular down pillow. Weird, but a pillow is way cheaper than jaw surgery!
This is 100 times worse when you're used to sleeping on a buckwheat husk pillow at home.
Water pillows are 1,000 times more comfortable than those stupid feather filled cotton crap pillows! ALSO Bidets are freaking awesome, all you need to do is dry the area off! Everyone around me are just a bunch of dirty butt holes!
I have a water pillow (linked below) that has totally changed my life. Iāve had it for over a year and it works wonders. It was studied at Johns Hopkins and is clinically proven to reduce neck pain.
Iām a severe bruxer and my physiatrist gives me Botox injections to stop the grinding and trigger point injections for neck and back pain. All of this (plus night guards) has helped immensely. I hope you can find some relief!
Mediflow Water Pillow
