I like cutesy things, like the pattern you had with trees and clouds, but it doesnt really matter. And have you ever had flax pancakes? I dont know why, but I LOVE them. They're usually pretty dry, but its nothing some maple syrup cant fix!

The English consumers don't really have that much of an impact on Japanese series, just look at Kochikame 40 years on the run, and no one knows it on the west, the economy of how well a series does is completely independent to its overseas reception, Toriko not only needed to sell as a comic, it needed to be able to make paraphernalia, and move a market beyond printed media, it needed to sell figurines, clothing, accessories, games, movies, and an anime, but it was NOT able to do this, when the anime failed Toriko was put on trial, can it recover? can it help us milk an audience? in essence how much money can we make out of this thing? will people buy Toriko cellphone chains?

The truth is that for as awesome as Toriko was, it didn't appeal to a Japanese audience, and it was constantly on the back of the list for weeks being under all the sports and ecchi manga constantly. It is true that Jump has lost its soul, but that's nothing new, the things that used to define it and make it, its face, its base as far as content goes they are no more, as of now only One Piece remains, and Hiatus x Hiatus because unlike Toriko it allows itself to be merchandised, we may not get any chapters of HxH AT ALL!!!!! but as long as the figurines, the DVDs, the clothing, the cards, the stickers and other collectibles keep on selling, then the series will remain untouched by Jump, as a matter of fact the ones affected are the magazine stands, because unlike Jump that can make a profit out of a stopped series, the comic stores need to sell the comics, and thus all the other series unable to follow that modus operandi and exploit consumerism are thrown away, and the reason behind it lies within the main consumers, Japanese teens and what they want to consume, english releases have jack shit to do with this.

Another example i love me some One Piece, i think it is great, but that's not the reason why it has survived this long, Oda was able to cleverly change his style slowly around Thriller Bark and put some fanservice, sexify his women and establish a way to create a way to sell variety goods without affecting the story, One Piece was not like that, as a matter of fact Nami was flat-chested, but that doesn't sells so now she goes around in a bikini, a lot of people hate that, but that's one of the reasons behind why we get to still read One Piece to this day, because Oda got to know his main audience, the masses, he is so aware that he covered that in a question on the SBS corner of vol 82.

The other reasons are logos, Oda managed to make the Jolly Roger into an icon that can be stamped into goods, and thus make it easily nameable for all kinds of merchandise, if they want they can sell OP toilet paper, and as a matter of fact, they do.

I REALLY need toilet paper!! it is .94 cents over, but if you choose me I will gladly take the 36 count. My cat constantly tears up toilet paper and after bills I only have 50 dollars a week to live on. Toilet paper is important, but in order to be cost efficient you have to buy in bulk, and I just don't have the ability to take a huge chunk out of my budget for it. So I steal it from my parents since they live 15 minutes away. It would be awesome if my mom didn't have to call me asking what happened to all of the toilet paper in the guest bathroom =D

Here's my favorite, cost effective source of a good paper (not the really thin commercial stuff.) Can be bought in large quantities and ships for free. Easy to store. Much, much more paper than typical brands.

I'm not very good at math, and this is very, very rough (unlike Kirkland Toilet Paper), but I'll give it a try:

According to Costco.com, a 30 pack of Kirkland Signature Toilet Paper costs $19.50. 19.50/30 = $0.65 per roll of KTP.

Amazon.com sells 20 rolls of Charmin Ultra soft for $119.99. 119.99/20 = ~$5.10 per roll of CTP.

5.10 - 0.65 = $4.45 saved per roll of KTP bought over CTP.

A 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo costs around $200k. $200,000 / $4.45 = 44,944 rolls of TP.

To put that into a useful perspective, apparently the average American uses 49 rolls of TP a year. 44,944 / 49 = ~917 years of buying Kirkland brand TP to save enough to buy a Lamborghini.

This is a great idea! Other suggestions for items are small rolls of toilet paper, those pods that fold out to washcloths when they get wet, and packets of hand wipes. :)

The compressed paper tablets are awesome. Very compact, light, and durable. The tubes that come with them store about 10 pieces. Add some water to a bottle cap and drop it in and unroll it. Then you have a wet wipe! They are multipurpose because they are so durable and dry and absorbent. Just quickly crush one between your teeth with out getting too much saliva on it and you will be able to unroll it and have a dry absorbent durable napkin or towel. I was actually able to use a couple like this to dry off after a shower when I didn’t have a towel and hold on to them for later use because they are so durable. I usually only need one per bowel movement, sometimes two. They can be folded numerous times to get multiple wipes/passes from them. There are many different sellers and manufacturers making them at this point. I recommend getting one that comes with the storage tube. They weigh about 2.4 grams a piece and diameter is somewhere between the diameter of a nickel and a dime. Here is the pack I got:
