Hey all, I got a bunch of info from here and the forums, so I thought I would give back and drop a few links.

First is the roof rack. I think the rola roof rack is the best looking and ends up being one of the cheapest.

Next up is the cargo box. I thought getting one this long would look stupid, but it's way better than I imagined. The rocketbox 11 is one of Thule's cheapest and big enough to fit my huge board in. No noticable drop in mpg, either - hovering barely above 33.

The backup camera is a fantastic upgrade. I followed this post and dug into the forums posted there. I would double check the apim codes because it's a tad dangerous and I didn't use the same exact codes as u/brbauer2 (I have the 2016 w/ sync 3). Shoutout, by the way, the album was super helpful. Also, the pins we inserted to the wiring harness didn't connect with the head unit, so I shredded a small amount of foil to bridge those connections.

Canying Car Trunk Handle Rear...

BAFX Products Bluetooth...

And finally, I like having my windows down in the rain, so I got them smoker vents.

Maybe someday I'll get that accessport/intercooler and a rear motor mount, but I'm loving it as it is!

You all bought awesome cars, thanks for the help, catch you later.

It's a universal fit, but it's a direct replacement of the original that came with the car. It fits perfect, and feels great. Plus, it looks amazing in person.

Hey guys, this is my new 2013 jeep wrangler sport. Not sure what I am going to name him just yet. I got an awesome deal on it. It already came with so much stuff on it. This is my first jeep wrangler so not sure if the name for some of the parts will be correct.

2.5 in lift sitting on 35’s

Winch

Snorkel

Front bumper

Upgraded sub and amp

Back jack

Running boards

Here is a list of mods I want to put on in the near future:

-Smittybilt xrc textured fenders

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EOZH9S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

-Smitybilt xrc rear bumper (will my spare tire fit on this it’s a 35??)

-Better headlights

-headlights and taillight guards

-winch cover (the one it came with is super faded)

-black grille inserts

-black hood clasps

All this is running me under 800 dollars

If anyone has any better recommendations for any of the parts listed that would be a huge help! Thanks everyone.

They have been amazing! Super easy to install and configure and they're super stable, they don't wiggle around in the wind

Just got back from a 40 day road trip and they worked very well.

Highly recommend

Here they are:

Well, you could move the camera. Find a comfortable space for a potential cockpit, see where you'd need the camera to be, and find a little stand for it, along with a USB extension cord to go along the edge of the room. If the headset's wires aren't long enough to properly extend to you from that position, you could find an HDMI and USB extension cords for it as well. If you want the cameras to be static, you could buy a second camera to sit in the middle of the room, and use a USB switch to switch between them (I personally use this one to switch between my PS3 and PS4, but there are other options out there).

Otherwise, I'd also agree that a fold up stand would probably be best here. I have the Apiga AP2, which also has the option for the seat mount (though you'd have to source the seat). You could have the stand folded up in a closet with the seat, and when you want to race, put them together in the middle of the room, and enjoy. There are other folding mounts out there, but the AP2 is the only one that I know of that also has an option for seating, and most of the other ones have a bar that goes between your legs.

make / manufacturer: Rugged Ridge

model name / number: Rugged Ridge 2-Door Exo-Top

Everything you need to convert a hard-top Jeep Wrangler 2 door JK (2007-2018) to a soft top with an integrated roof rack (accepts all major roof rack accessories such as kayak and bike carriers and roof top boxes)! This is the Rugged Ridge Exo Top and includes all parts and the original instructions. The pictures show all the pieces that are included, the top fully on, the top in "safari top" configuration (windows out), and with the soft top fully off and the roof rack still on. I recently sold my Jeep and was only able to use this system for about two months so all pieces are very lightly used. Here are the pieces that are included:

I bought a set of regular (but Chinese fake "red top") coils from Amazon for $80. They work great. You should pull a coil and see if oil is in the plug well since that's super common. Easy to replace the valve cover gaskets which cause that. You should check the half Moon gasket on the driver side for leaks which is common and change it at the same time. That's a little more involved since it requires a special tool to compress the cam chains tensioner and lift it up. Kits tend to be bundled with the tool but you gotta be careful with it because they are cheap plastic and can break.

I wouldn't recommend the catch can I bought since it is a leaky POS. The one that comes with the kit looks like good quality but it's quite expensive.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure if you moment from or back (because they weren’t a set) so here’s the front:

Over all they’ve held together wonderfully. I had the fronts for a long while before the rear and they are both manufactured with EAG. (My stinger is also). Absolutely in love with they way she’s shaping up.

amazon.. I had a damaged flair and instead of paying $150 for one OEM replacement, for $4-500 for the "big brands" I saw these TAC with great reviews. installed the rears and LOVE them. Well worth the $189 on prime, even if only doing the rears lol.

It's pretty good, the shift feels a bit light though, nothing like a real car. I bought this shift knob for it. Slides right snug, and makes the shift feel tighter and a lot better. There are some other mods you can do to it with 3d printed parts out there. I was considering getting one. For the G920, I love it. Just ordered a cockpit yesterday!

u/efects · 1 pointr/teslamotors

i got these for mine, and they're great. my brother in law has a P3 and said they looked great, especially for $13 haha

u/r_syzygy · 6 pointsr/camping

You can get bug netting from Home Depot and some strong magnets (neodymium) and attach it to the outside of your car, then roll down the windows. If it's raining, you'll have a harder time, you might want window deflectors if it's something you're going to do often.

You could also try to find a hatch tent that hooks up to the back of your suv with the back open. Gives you the feeling of more space and a nice way to keep the air moving, something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/DAC-DA-E2T-Explorer-SUV-Tent/dp/B0001WTY0E/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1473905855&sr=8-4&keywords=hatch+tent

I'd also recommend getting a sunshade, and some privacy shades for the side windows. You can make your own out of reflectex.

I boiled some water in my electric kettle, submerged the pedals for about 10 mins in a plastic bucket, and then replaced them. It takes some finger strength but not nearly as bad as some make it seem and they look and feel great. Read some of the reviews for tips.

u/samsaBEAR · 1 pointr/xboxone

As a note on the older headsets, like the X12, I found more success in using a RCA to Optical adapter like this, and a spare optical cable to link it all up. You'll obviously need the Chat Adapter to get chat audio to come through, but both my friends use this setup with their X12s and they haven't had any problems.

u/1sh0t1kill · 2 pointsr/CherokeeXJ

I bought from here : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0792NCNXS/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_T4FRBbZ0QY99E

Go to YouTube and look up “decal center hinge” technique, that is what I used to apply these decals. https://i.imgur.com/QsceW2i.jpg I also used a spray bottle with a couple drops of Johnson and Johnson’s baby shampoo to wet down window immediately before application. You’ll need the spray, at a minimum an old credit card (I had previously bought a window tint kit on Amazon for $10) and a razor blade to trim it to fit the window. I took my time and was very patient and both sides took me about 45 minutes total to complete. It was a fun little project.

Looking back, I should have installed it a little higher, cutting the top stripe a little thinner, so if someone gets one, keep that in mind. Also, align the decal to the bottom edge of the window.

u/ajkd92 · 1 pointr/BMW

Congrats on the new purchase. Iron block, woo! It’s a little more resilient than the aluminum block in your touring (and all my E39’s), and has a slightly deeper sound :)

I’ll just leave this here 😉 I bought one each for both my manual E39’s and it’s a joy!

u/HailVectron · 2 pointsr/xboxone

It would be another little box that will probably need power, but your other option is an Optical TosLink to Analogue Stereo DAC... Cheapish ones go for £10 here in the UK... It'll take care of component or headphones.

There is the Apiga AP2 seat attachment on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/APIGA-Frame-Foldable-Racing-Simulator/dp/B016A7CS2E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1465967124&sr=8-2&keywords=apiga+ap2

It should work for any bottom mount seat, and you could easily make some brackets for a side mount seat as well.

But I know some companies make display stands for their seats as well, I think Corbeau is one of them.

u/eggy78 · 2 pointsr/SubaruForester

Found this detailed review that appears to be for the same product. People on Amazon also seem to like it. Looks like a fun time.

I did read a couple comments about door chimes being a nuisance, though. Any comments, OP?

I picked up these mirror relocation brackets from Amazon a few years ago. Makes it much nicer if you have the doors off all the time to be able to still have mirrors. I keep mine on all the time and just move the mirror back on the right door as it's hard to see it otherwise.

Nice Jeep!

If you buy one I would try and get a small skinny one. The one I bought was too big and the in/ out lines were opposite and made it hard to install.

The one I bought:

I just ran a line from the pcv to the “in” on the catch can then from “out” into the intake. Mounted in to the power steering bracket. Considering doing something with the rear line as well but everyone seems decisive with how to install a catch can.

As for the rivets I ended up replacing the “permanent” ones with the skinniest ones in the linked set. In the future I can reuse these if I want to.

Here's a decent video on removing the front bumper - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUNlKmHgp9k

I watched and read as much as I could before diving into this. Let me tell you: it's fairly common sense once you do it. You almost could just go figure it out. I think I could have the bumper off in 15 minutes now that I've done it. Here's the main thing to know: once all fasteners are removed unclip the sides of the bumper outwards, the top upwards, and lastly the whole assembly forwards.

I saw the backs of the mesh grills and filed away the idea to change them some time later.

u/kevamiga · 1 pointr/xboxone

Xbox one only has digital audio output. HDMI and SP/DIF (Optical). If you wanted to run an Analog audio device, you would need a DAC (Digital/analog converter).

Something along these lines maybe? http://www.amazon.co.uk/eSynic%C2%AE-Digital-Optical-Coaxial-Converter/dp/B009ZR7IB8

u/Fender420 · 1 pointr/autorepair

I'm not sure how it is on your car those are often held together by these plastic trim fasteners:

https://www.amazon.com/Ginsco-102pcs-Fasteners-Expansion-Replacement/dp/B076BMVZ8R/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1543475436&sr=8-4&keywords=trim+fasteners

They just snap on. Other times they are held by screws. Research your car or look at your other wheel wells and see how they are fastened. Some use screws. If the holes are plastic you could use epoxy to fix the tares. Otherwise if there is a good spot to do so use a couple of self tapping screws to fasten them back.
