This toy has been his favorite since birth, it has so many little things to draw their attention! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004X0WAP6/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_Z.4htb1VC2PBA

My guy had terrible congestion his first 6 months; this little sucker was Incredible for getting gunk out without making him cry! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CAHWUDQ/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_9-4htb10RF88G

I LOVE this night light! It has a soft glow, 4 light settings, a timer or all night setting, it's very quality & durable feeling, and it's SO adorable! It's my go to nursing light now. We have the dragon. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008X6XRH6/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_ae5htb03B23DV

Munky doesn't quite appreciate this book yet, but I LOVE it! It's very lovingly crafted, with so many little things to interact with and draw interest, and it's machine washable! I can't wait for him to be old enough to play with it. Also soft & safe for carseat play! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EQHJKE/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_Jb5htb1GJN7GV
This cart cover is awesome! It's got big comfy pillows that help prevent wobbling & flopping over. Keeps kiddo from chewing on the cart, and helps hold them up if the belt is broken. It's pretty easy to put on, I've done it one handed with a gigantic squirmy baby on the other, and you can hang toys on the straps so that they don't get lost (thrown :-P) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F1O8JI/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_5b5htb1VXGMW7
These muslin swaddles are super cheap, and sooooo versatile! I used them for everything when he was tiny & it was hot. They are Huge, and fold easily. Stroller cover, blanket, swaddle, towel in a pinch, I love them! They are breezy, and don't make baby too toasty.

I also recommend footie pants; much easier than onesies, and then you don't have to worry about socks!

No name, but Walmart, and probably other places, has kids tooth brushes that have suction cups on the bottom, dirt cheap. These have provided Tons of entertainment for my guy, as a teether, and he really enjoys plucking them up from wherever you've stuck them to.

Welcome to the club! I just started about a year ago, with Spider-Gwen and Scarlet Witch, but got super into it when the Venom wave came out. Focusing mostly on X-Men, Spiderverse, and core MCU stuff. So in case it was in question, these last couple of weeks have been pretty damn amazing for me, and many others.

As far as display ideas, one of the most affordable and widely used display shelves for figures is IKEA's Detolf display cabinet for $60.
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10119206/

I came pretty close to getting it myself, but the only thing that stopped me was the fact that I'd want to display my figures along a longer lineup rather than the more compact squared space provided by the Detolf. Instead, I went with a traditional Billy/Morliden Bookcase, which goes for $140. But you can get it as just a Billy bookshelf without doors for much cheaper, $70.
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S59292025/

I just went with the doors option because I only planned on having figures on the top 3 shelves, and wanted to store random books or boxes of incomplete bafs/other unused figures

The last thing I'm looking into is shelf lighting. I want my figures to really stand out, and light kits go for about $25-$30 online. Considering something like this, though a small handful of reviews don't think this specific set is bright enough.

https://www.amazon.com/Under-Cabinet-Lighting-Bookshelf-UL-listed/dp/B00URLTUXU/ref=asc_df_B00URLTUXU/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167156299330&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13487189436651044644&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028165&hvtargid=pla-311113412869&psc=1

A final tip before I go; in addition to ebay, sites like Mercari, Letgo, OfferUp, and even Craigslist have occasionally helped me get figures for cheap.

Good luck out there! And please share your collection whenever you set it up. :)

I've used different types of lights like LEDs, fluorescents and HPSs but the cheapest ones that I've gotten that worked are these

At my local walmart I picked them up at 10.97 each. They're easy to mount and work well as long as the plants are within a foot of the light. Also taking off the plastic covering over the lights helps the brightness a lot, just be careful about plants touching the bulb.

If you have the money to spend on a nice LED panel it's totally worth it because of how efficient and powerful they are in comparison to fluorescent lights, but these cheap lights from walmart are capable of getting the job done at a fraction of the price.

u/FoxGetThisGuyOffMe · 2 pointsr/hookah

I also usually smoke at home. I recently dropped 350 USD on the SBCarbine which is cool and looks like a storm trooper rifle. I also use this time to either play video games or turn on my ocean light and just listen to music and relax. If you have a room where you can just turn off all the lights and chill, I recommend getting https://www.amazon.com/Projector-Ohuhu-Changing-Undersea-Decoration/dp/B0716T17BV/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1538290224&sr=8-1&keywords=ocean+light. It definitely makes for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Honestly, it's probably the best $20 I've ever spent lol.

You might remember me from THIS POST a few days ago!

After months of stressing about the clutter in this room, I finally moved the large plastic tubs into storage, unpacked that huge brown box, and also emptied all my trash bags full of shoes and organized them into the closet.

What’s left to do:

  • Mount the round mirror on my wall above the vanity desk

  • Purchase THESE LIGHTS from Amazon to mount onto the mirror (if you have a better suggestion, I’m all ears!)

  • Either purchase a FLOATING SHELF to hang to the right of the vanity or a SMALL STANDING DRAWER UNIT to store my lesser-used items so I can get rid of the extra large acrylic organizer that is taking up a LOT of space on the desk

  • Hang sheer curtains

The brown rattan chair and side table will also be moving out of this room once we get rid of some other furniture that a family member is going to take off our hands!

All-in-all, this was a one-day project that makes me feel soooo much better. I can’t tell you why I put it off for so long - but I’m glad I finally got around to at least doing the bare minimum to make this space more zen for me!

Let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions! This has been a fun experience :)
u/shiplesp · 3 pointsr/HomeDecorating

Clean the cabinets and line them. Seal any holes you find along the corners and edges, and you should be fine. You can also install motion sensing LED lights in the cabinets. I love these and if you don't want to stick them up, they still work if you simply place them in the cabinet. Your nice, clean cabinets won'd seem so creepy and will be more welcoming.

u/gkd720 · 3 pointsr/DIY

Yeah, I think this general method is what you should do. I just used a similar scheme using these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TN5HNPN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This set came with a collection of flat ribbon extensions, but I wasn't using it under cabinets. I was lighting the top shelf of 3 shelving units, similar to an entertainment center. I came into the top of each unit and hid the lights on the back of the front top trim piece. No way the provided extensions would have reached, or been invisible.

My solution was to use small gauge wire twisted into a pair. From the power pack, underneath the base unit under the shelf units, I cut the output of the power pack, spliced some wires on it, and ran up to the top of one of the units. I then connected this to the 3 sets of wires, each going to a shelf unit. To make the final expected connection, I cut off the connectors from some supplied ribbon extensions, which made each wire pair able to connect to an LED strip as originally expected. The only hard part was the soldering, since it was kind of small. But tinning the wire ends allows them to be tacked onto the connectors. It worked out pretty good, and is still unconnectable, in case any repairs or modifications.

Hi, I have a small work shop in a shipping container but it's off the grid. I'd like to wire it for basic light/electric heat just at the work bench so I can keep working during the winter. My only power option is a Honda eu2000i generator. This is for work, but I'm a biologist with this task assigned to me and don't know my arse from a hole in the ground when it comes to electrical. Google has turned up a lot of options to run a shop off a backup generator but I don't understand all the switches/whatnot. I just need a lightbulb and a heater setup for under 2000 watts. I'd appreciate any help!

Edit: Thanks. I'm going with these 2 items and a beefy extension cord.

u/__Why · 2 pointsr/quilting

For workspace lighting, I use these led lights - they are very bright, you can get more of them and add them on, and their low profile means you have a lot of possible options for positioning them. I find that 3 + the room's overhead light really lights up my work area well.

Sometimes if I really need light right in front of me, I will wear a headlamp like this. It is super dorky, but super effective.

u/Animum_Rege · 1 pointr/homeautomation

Are you talking about something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beams-Battery-Powered-Motion-Sensing-Stick-Anywhere/dp/B01G1LFS08/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1473384474&sr=1-2&keywords=mr.+beams+night+light

I actually bought some of those recently and I'm just not impressed. 1) They're too bright. I had to put tape over the LED to cut down the brightness. 2) They're battery powered, which means I have to buy batteries and occasionally replace them, which kind of annoying. 3) They don't look very elegant; it's a big wall wart.

Yeah, they make electroluminescent lights, and some even have dawn to dusk sensors, but none of them have motion sensors. I need to leave my bedroom door open for air, and I don't want a light on all night long in the hallway. They have the perfect amount of brightness, but I only want it on when I walk past.

I'd like something like this: https://www.adafruit.com/products/415 underneath my stairway hand-rail. But I want it only on when it's dark and when I'm walking by (i.e. motion activated). The problem is that I don't have a plug-in anywhere near my stairway.

I've also looked into motion sensors that go right where your wall switch is supposed to be, but they're not directional. I can't just point them at the stairs so the light only goes on when someone chooses to use the stairs.

u/marcorbito · 2 pointsr/cade

Sure thing!

The side art I actually printed at Costco on a poster sized print (20x30). I sprayed it with a sealant to protect it from running and fading, cut it, and used a max strength spray adhesive to mount it. I've found that you have to really coat it on (about 4 layers) to prevent edge peeling.

The light behind the marquee is off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ET6D8E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I wanted an LED solution but I couldn't find one small and cheap enough. To get the light looking brighter and even across the marquee, I surrounded the light enclosure with reflective foil tape.

Hope this helps!

u/user_543210 · 2 pointsr/Hue

I just finished doing my under the cabinet lights last night. I used these per the suggestion of someone else here and they worked great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MKKBKZK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The diffusion they add is nice, though with your countertop material you probably don't have to worry too much about individual LED reflection. But per other comments, because you don't have a lip on the bottom of your cabinets, you could use something like these to create one and run them along the front most part of the cabinet. I don't think it'd look too bad at all - you can cut the channels I linked with a hack saw and and the plastic diffusers easily with a strong pair of scissors.

u/Titus142 · 1 pointr/woodworking

Im going to repeat some of the other comments for emphasis. LED shop lights. Cheap, super bight, and the right color tone. Also <40W each. You cant go wrong.

https://www.amazon.com/America-Shoplight-Aluminum-housing-included/dp/B00UTX4HJS/ref=sr_1_6?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1484576783&sr=1-6&keywords=led+shop+light

I have 4 of these in the garage and they are just fantastic. Also full brightness even when cold.

u/500SL · 2 pointsr/trashy

My wife got me these for Christmas as a joke!

These things are great! It's a small unit that fits over the bowl, and shines a bright LED into the bowl. It's motion-activated, so all you do is walk in the bathroom, and the bowl and the room light up. And it changes colors!

I'm giving them to everyone next Christmas!

u/BlankImagination · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Also ask if they're buying anything new for themselves, their houses, or cars, etc. You may be able to help them out with getting better products and save them from getting ripped off.

My grandmother was considering buying this outlet cover light, for $10, plus shipping & handling (for one), but I managed to find this nightlight that comes in packs and looks great for basically the same price.

u/star-of-morning · 3 pointsr/proED

I got mine from the Wish app for like $4 but you can get them from Amazon for like $10-$12.

One like this!

I have these little led puck lights that are battery operated and turn on with your touch - I put one on the changing table, my night stand and the table by the chair in baby’s room.

Maybe something like this?? I put this on my wishlist for something a little nicer than the puck lights we are using.

Oh man! Nope, it’s super easy installation, on any mirror you’d like 😊 LED Vanity Mirror Lights Kit –... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKWPXMD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share .... here you go! I got them on Amazon, enjoy❤️

u/majesticjg · 1 pointr/homeowners

I bought these lights and placed them throughout the house, though I'm thinking of switching to something like this instead.

I can navigate the whole house safely in the dark that way. It's really very nice.

>I have to step over baby toys, clothes piles, phone chargers, etc.

Is it a lighting problem or just a matter of tidying up?

If you wire in lights, I'd do some modern can lights on a dimmer. I don't know if you actually need them, though, as much as you need navigational lighting like I linked to.

u/namastHEY · 16 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I got the lights at Costco. I don't see them on the website, but they have the same ones on Amazon. They were about half the price at Costco, so maybe try in store first. It would be worth looking into rechargeables as the lights run off three AAAs each.
Still great with the lights off

u/dewhite04 · 1 pointr/homeautomation

If you want something a little nicer and more durable, consider mounting those LED strips into aluminum channel with diffusing lenses, like these.

I used these for over/under cabinet lighting in my kitchen and found they made mounting easier...

Good luck, and be patient with your wiring. Remember to double-check that the colors are consistent from controller to wiring to strip connections...

u/meganme31 · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

We used this KinderGlo Portable Night Light. The best part about it for us is the portability, and it has worked for several nights in a row off the charger (Has a timer). Our changing table is attached to the crib and is in the corner of the room so there isn't really a spot to put a small lamp of any kind. I'll grab the owl and put it on/near the crib and it works really well. It lights up in a rotating pattern or will stay on one of several different colors, red is supposed to be the least disturbing but it isn't very bright so it is nice to be able to place the light right next to his bottom on the changer!

This is similar to what I used for nursing and changing with my first 2. Ours was from target but it looks like they don’t make it anymore. We liked that we could unplug and take with us if hubby was changing or if I needed a change of scenery. We used them until they no longer charged :)

I should add that this is a very easy do-it-yourself project. If you go to Amazon and search led light strip any one of those will do exactly what you need, probably better than the one I linked to actually.

Simple motion detecting lights worked best for me. I’ve put them I hallway and one of each side of the bed frame.

Warm light so it’s not a stark white light at night. Light point down at floor. Turns off by itself after 30 seconds. Battery efficient. Reliable sensor with zero lag time.

This is exactly what they look like with the same exact packaging but mine said Easy home instead of Capstone. I assume they rebrand it and sell it exclusively at Aldi stores. It was only $17.99 also

If the soil is dry obviously water it. If the soil is water logged and looks like this then I would re pot it. If you have windows, give it some sun. If not buy a florescent lamp and give it 8-10 hours of light a day. You may see some improvement you may not. the plant looks in rough shape..

I hate SmartThings and replaced it with an Echo Plus right when it came out.

All my issues disappeared. All my lights stay connected always. Its beautiful.

For the bed thing...

I'd recommend getting an LED light bar. Something like this.

These are the ones I have the most of, I recommend those more than the others I have since you can screw them into place easily. The other ones are from Ikea and they are harder to get to stay in place. They're all about the same price tho.

I keep my mixer in a dark corner, so it's kinda hard to see the contents in the bowl, so I stuck on this motion sensing light. It's kinda big, but it does the job well. Had to put a little ring of electrical tape facing the outside because if it picks up too much ambient light, it never turns on. Rubber bands are to keep the light from coming off the magnet.

Bonus video of slow-mo pizza dough!

I'm gonna give you a straight answer. These are stuff I got when i went from 35k to 75k.

  1. Roomba if you already don't have one. Get the 960 at least. use the always available 20% off coupon from bedbathbeyond.com
  2. A decent new shower head if the one in your apartment is crappy. While in the bathroom get those inverted soap pumps you can attach on the wall. also recommend: curved shower curtain and new decent towels like from frontage.
  3. I see you are on bulking diet so a good chef knife if you dont have one already and a sous vide if your diet involves lot of meat cooking.
  4. All TVs have crappy built in sound, get a decent soundbar.
  5. I had a shitty cat litter box, got the really nice modkat litter box. It ended up actual being easier to clean and maintian compared to my old one that was shoved instead a end table type furniture.
  6. I love to cook, but hate using the big oven, so I got a smaller toaster oven from breville and use the big oven for storage of pots and pans.
  7. Get those under bed, motion sensing light-sensitive led strips, I wake up and not stepping on my cat thanks to it.

I bought these for the bathrooms in the house. Put another in the kitchen and in the hallways. They are only on at night. Use virtually no power. And the light is just enough to see.

Highly recommend.

I have the same lighting issues in my apartment. I was thinking about getting these lights

I was denied this luxury, as it didn't pass the WAF checks, so our site is disabled. We have Hue lights that work as a backup, in a pinch, or some cheapo LED plugged in all over the house, so you can mostly roam at night without screaming HEY GOOGLE, turn on the damn lights! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DLLTDLG/
