  1. Skinny

  2. American Eagle jegging

  3. $39.95-49.95 depending on the wash -- I tend to buy mine on sale anywhere between $15 and $30, depending on clearance availability and earned rewards

  4. I usually take a 4 short, but can fit into a 2 short depending on the materials. Measurements for 4S -- Waist: 26.5", hip: 36", leg opening: 10.75", inseam: 28". The 28" inseam is crucial for me because I'm 5'3" so 29" inseams are just a tad too long, creating the ankle scrunching which I hate. They also occasionally have ankle versions of their jeggings which have a 27" inseam.

  5. Various light, medium, dark washes, including a pitch black color, grey and a couple of distressed designs. I own several pairs, including the clean rinse, black, a light blue that is no longer available and have just ordered the medium tinted ankle jegging for fall.

  6. Low rise. Website says 8.25" inches in the front, 13.5" rise in the back <-- the higher back rise is super helpful for not flashing underwear when sitting! The jegging also comes in a "hi-rise" (their medium rise) and a "sky high rise" (their high waisted rise).

  7. It varies. The solid dark wash (clean rinse) is 65% Cotton, 23% Viscose, 11% Polyester, 1% Elastane, but the black is 65% Cotton, 23% Rayon, 11% Polyester, 1% Spandex and the medium tinted ankle pair is 99% Cotton, 1% Elastane.

  8. I've had the clean rinse and black for just under a year now with dozens and dozens of wears.

  9. I love the fit, hands down. These jeggings are great at conforming to my petite, ruler-shaped body and the leg opening is wonderfully fitted. They do stretch out a bit as the day goes on but not enough to be baggy per se, and they do tend to snap back into shape after as little as a day of non-wear. The clean rinse stretches out more than my black pair. My lightest blue pair run a bit larger and stretch out much more (I sometimes need a belt for them) but it's actually great because I've repurposed them as almost-boyfriend jeans.

  10. Honestly, I don't wash my jeans too often, but all of them have held up well and not faded much at all.

  11. Clean rinse aka dark wash. Light blue.

  12. Would repurchase for sure! They are my favorite affordable skinny jeans and can be found on sale all the time.

  13. Definitely try a couple of pairs on before you buy (or take advantage of their free shipping + returns on jeans right now) as the different washes can fit slightly differently. Also, the jeggings have these half-front pockets which aren't those fake sewn on pockets but are only big enough to fit a lip balm or some folded cash.

    _____

  14. Skinny

  15. Levi's 535 legging jean in Night Out.

  16. Retail for $46, I bought them for $35 on Amazon.

  17. I take a 5 short in these. Measurements -- Waist: 25.5-26.5", hip: 35.5-36.5", inseam: 30", leg opening: 9.5". I would say this pair runs closer to the lower end of those measurements, and is more of a 29" inseam than 30". The ankle is super skinny! Even a little hard to put on sometimes.

  18. Comes in a fuckton of washes and some colors if you check places like Amazon or Zappos.

  19. Low rise. Site says 8".

  20. 84% Cotton, 14% Polyester, 2% Elastane

  21. I've only had them a few months and it's been too hot to wear jeans so I've worn them maybe 5 times total.

  22. Though they are called legging jeans, they feel much more substantial, like actual jeans. They're not very stretchy so sitting in them for a long time with legs crossed can be uncomfortable, but they keep their shape well and don't really stretch out during the day.

  23. Haven't.. washed them yet..

  24. Here's one fit and another with them cuffed.

  25. If they are on sale, I might repurchase. They are a smidge tight on me but I think another size up would be too loose fitting. I'm actually hoping they stretch out a tad over time, but they are quite nice in how substantial they feel. The inseam is a bit long for me, but they don't look terribly scrunched at the ankles and work well cuffed due to their skinny leg opening.

  26. Real pockets!

  1. If it were me I would try [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Uplifting-Pushup-Strapless-Breast/dp/B0037C0VPC/ref=pd_sim_misc_14)

  2. These heels are super cute and I think would add a fun pop to the outfit.

  3. Now I would probably do nude stockings myself but you are looking for pastel so I found these pale pink ones. They look really nice and if you are thinking of more of a shoe like she is wearing let me know I will search for it.

  4. Casabella Thongs are super pretty, sexy and really comfortable. You will probably wear these more then just that night.

  5. Ok so it's an anniversary and about both of you. If you have tried this I recommend it. Fun for the two of you. Probably our favorite bedroom item.

  6. I asked my husband for ideas. He said his favorite practical gifts (they seem to have similar personalities) was his Leatherman. He said he ends up using it all the time more than he thought he would. The other one is his nice disk storage I got him he uses it for his games. Those are the exact items he owns. :)

VAT should probably stop with the complicated contests.

I've been through these cycles of binge and purge so many times over the past twenty years, I can't even possibly imagine how many thousands of dollars of absolutely adorable clothes and accessories I've throw out in shame, only to regret it later. I think I'm finally past that, and while I can't necessarily help you get to that place, can't help you work through the associated cognitive dissonance and cultural pressures, I can maybe at least help you rebuild.

Panties are where I always start back off. Simple, plain, cotton panties. Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, whatever, something cotton and with a gusset. I've become partial to Fruit of the Loom Heathers, both in bikini and hipster varieties. I've tried all variety of novelty, skimpy, silky, frilly, and the tried and true panties that make me feel the most feminine, that I'm actually willing to wear day in and day out are simple and breathable. I've recently given Amazon Essentials a try, fully expecting the worst. I was prepared for them to be the sheisty garbage you'd get eBaying from China, poor stitching and loose threads and you wash it once and it falls apart. Not so! Though not as fantastic as Fruit of the Loom Heathers, I'm enjoying the Cotton Stretch Bikini and Cotton Stretch Thong varieties.

From there, no feminine boy is complete without a pair of shimapan! And naturally from there, you'll need to pair them with appropriate stockings!

Of course, one of my favorite things in the world after panties and stockings are skirts! I was just talking to somebody elsewhere on reddit today here, I'm currently wearing the shorter version of that specific skirt. Go long, go short, either way the material is thick and flowy, perfect for going spinny!

I'm also partial to spaghetti straps, and these are my daily drivers. The color set that I have isn't there anymore, but those are all great too!

The next part requires bravery. I have gone thrifting at Goodwill for skirts and tops exactly once, just a couple of months ago. And while I found a haul and was extremely proud of myself, it took all the psyching up in the world to be able to just go and do it. I got a few looks but nobody said anything to me and I powered through. I want to go again, I will go again, but wow that's going to be another brave journey to work up to.

Nail polish I pick up at Big Lots, usually for about $2 per bottle, nail polish remover too. I get all sorts of stuff there anyway so one or two feminine makeup items never raised any eyebrows. I've been shopping there for years so I figure most of the employees get who I am but not a one has ever given me a single bit of grief over it. You can tell from my personality, from how I walk and talk and present myself - it's not the biggest secret in the world, but holy fuck it's scary sometimes just being open with other people face to face. I'm not big on makeup outside of nail polish, that is to say I'm not very experienced, so the $1 and $2 brushes, mascara, eyeshadow, and eyeliner I pick up there do just fine for me. I imagine if I were more experienced or more than a basic bitch I'd be appalled at the quality therein, but I have the bliss of ignorance right now!

I wish I could be more helpful addressing the underlying problem, the shame and cognitive dissonance, the need to hide and the desire to do away with your secrets in order to feel safe and clean. It took me twenty+ years to be even a little ok with myself, to accept myself for who I am, to finally be past purging all my cute and feminine things, so I absolutely get it. Wishing you the best, the strength and resilience to be who you are, to not have to change to satisfy any outside ego structures, to enjoy what you do, and to recognize your inalienable right to look like on the outside how you feel like on the inside. It's a path, a journey, a long hard road that's tough to walk alone. The only thing you can ask of yourself is to do your best, to be the most genuine you that you can possibly be!

Edit: Sorry, I totally missed the measurements! Darn phone screens.

The calculator gives a starting point of 38H/HH. Judging by the fact you're wearing and are comfortable in 34 bands, I'd say stick with them, which gives you a calculated size of 34J/JJ.

If projection is your main issue I'd start with the Panache Jasmine and Envy - mainstay recs for projected breasts. They're generally considered even shapes, but both have stretch lace tops which are pretty forgiving if you're FOT.

Wires are another matter. Out of the brands you've mentioned, Elomi is widest followed by Panache, then Curvy Kate and Cleo with Bravissimo as the narrowest. While the Envy and the Jasmine may offer you a better shape and projection, the wires may not be comfortable. You have some other options, though:

  • Bravissimo has a number of other bra styles in 34J-K, including a sort of Jasmine clone, Nordic Rose.
  • Fantasie and Charnos have wires a bit wider than Bravissimo, but both top out at J cup except for the Jana - still might be worth a look for sister sizing 36HH/J potential.
  • Freya is also pretty narrow in the F+ spectrum, but has the FOT friendly Gem in 34J-K.
  • IMO, Curvy Kate/Flirtelle is worth another look. They recently redesigned their 2015/2016 line, and early reviews are pretty positive. The Ellace especially looks fantastic.

Curvy Wordy is in your size/shape range and has a great blog and very active Bratabase profile; in addition to the above, I'd take a look at her top picks and see if anything appeals.

What size is your mother? I am in love with my seamless wireless bras from Anemone. They are "one size fits all", but they're very stretchy and also very supportive. I've been wearing them and washing them for months and they still retain their elasticity and shape.

I have somewhat sensitive skin, and I had no issues -- except the tag. I had to remove it immediately, as well (more importantly) as the clear plastic thread used to sew the tag on. Once that was gone, they are the most comfortable things I own. I measure at 28C or so, and they fit me well, but they would also definitely fit someone smaller as well as someone a fair bit larger all around than I am. They're also super inexpensive and come in LOTS of colors.

(My full review is there under the name "jen" -- ignore the fact that I thought I was 34A at the time, lol.)

u/LadySkywalker · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

You really might have to go with boob tape, but I've used these for costumes and they work nicely, but they might be up too high for the cut of that dress.

Okay, so this is my kind opinion, if you wear white or pink shoes or thigh highs with this dress, you're going to look silly. I would definitely go with black.

The stockings should be sheer but black or nude is definitely where you want to be. The problem with thigh highs, is if your garter belt is a little too tight you might have some lumpy effects through the dress. Not saying you have lumps, but I don't have lumps and sometimes that happens to me. I also don't know how long your dress is, but most thigh highs don't hit that high up and you run the risk of people seeing the lacy top. Maybe try a full stocking? And I'm not sure about a pattern but maybe something like this but honestly, I think sheer nude is fine.

Underwear?

I've never had a plug but I've seen a lot of talk about ones that have jewels on them. Like this

Well I'm not good at getting presents for people I don't know, but what about a proper shaving kit? Like badger brush, nice cream and lotion, maybe a straight razor?

I'm sorry I don't have any fun anniversary stories. Oh no..actually. In high school my boyfriend had our two friends kid nap me and they flew a giant pirate flag from their car and he came chasing after me and there was a fake sword fight and he carried me to his car and then gave me a map which led to a treasure chest in my room that contained a tiny diamond necklace. Yup.

u/DeeperThanGlitz · 4 pointsr/feminineboys

For starting with underwear, I highly recommend these panties as they are relatively cheap and are made of good fabric. They're soft and stretchy so you really don't have to do much of anything, just put them on!

If you want to go a bit more fancy, I'd suggest xdress as they have some stuff that is quite nice and not overly expensive. They are also cut for the male body so easy to wear as well.

Personally, I love skirts and I bought most of mine off amazon. The ones with the elastic bands are great because you don't have to worry as much about getting a precise fit.

Best of luck shopping! \^_^

u/frostfromfire · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Big cardigan wearer here! I love J. Crew cardigans and they hold up for years without pilling, ripping, or seams coming apart. To save money you could get them cardigans from J. Crew Factory. I'd personally wear the Merino wool v-neck one but they'd all be good quality. For more interesting but affordable cardigans check Ruche. I like this one because it's a little more interesting than a one-tone sweater and it'll be soft from the acrylic and warm from the wool. It would also work with a young woman or an older woman. If you have $100+ per spend on a cardigan (as you showed with the Dana Lee one) then stop by Anthropologie and have a salesperson show you their selection of cardigans. Their styles are always unique and you'd be able to find something that's good quality, feminine, and a little bit weird.

As for cute cat stuff, these are some adorable things I've seen on Amazon: this seriously silly tunic that can be worn as a sleep shirt and a pair of cat tights.

u/MsErin · 3 pointsr/asktransgender

There's no way your a 40B after a month of HRT. That's the volume equivalent of a 38C, 36D, or 34DD. Victoria Secret is notorious for sizing incorrectly. They're trained to do it in a way that doesn't put you in the correct size, but puts you into a size they carry.

If they sized you to a band of 40, that's most likely close. A 40B is near impossible to find. It's just not a size that's out in the wild for the most part. You might want to try looking at 38B bras. I measure to a 41, but fit in 38s without issue. 38B will give you a much broader choice of brands and styles.

Another option this early on would be to stay away from the tradition "grown up" bras that go on band and cup sizing. You're growing right now, so a training bra is a good option for you. Here's a few of what I would consider adult training bras. I relied heavily on these as I was growing out and before I could fit into traditional bras. Option 1 light padding. Option 2 unlined

Finally, go check out /r/abrathatfits. It's a super helpful resource for bras and they are accepting of trans women.

u/iamof · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I love wearing these, but I'm a 30C and they might fit different on you. These might fit better for your size! I used to be a (pendulous) 30F before my reduction and those look like something that would have fit me.

I swear by Anemone; their sports-looking bralettes might look cheap, but they're suuuuuper comfortable and rather well-made.

u/not_my_jam · 2 pointsr/GoneWildCD

true, but those can be expensive! A gal's gotta budget! For me, since I almost never get my girls all dolled up like this, socks and bras make sense and have great visual results. I think if I wanted cleavage often, I would totally invest in something more comfortable. I bought some of these for fun, and they bump me up a cup size or so :)

Are there other secrets I don't know about??

u/basylica · 4 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Most of those bras are too big IMHO.
Hettie is the most projected and will be more fob friendly than say lily which is older style and i find a bit more projection friendly.
You might try a cleo lucy/kali in 28g and see how that fits you.

What is crazy is how your fob/fot type changes the fit on bras. Lucy/kali makes ME look "saggy" but makes fob ladies look very perky and cute, while lily/hettie/marcie make FOT/even ladies defy gravity but can make a fob gal look like the girls hang low iykwim.

Id stick with unlined until you nail a bra that fits awsome. Lined/foam are very hard to find in small sizes and with much projection. Ewa and comexim are pretty much your only bet (deco comes in our size range but is shallow as a mofo and if you are center heavy like we are boobs leak inwards) but are never gonna be PERFECT.
Once you nail a unlined bra it will be easier to find a polish bra that may work OK.

Marcie isnt perfect on me but works awesome for me since it hides slight assym and makes boobs defy gravity and often comes up cheap on amazon - so its my goto in a 28GG and you can see how differently im filling it. Yours are def too big but also you have less tissue ontop leaving lace gaping a bit which causes the pointy shape.

https://imgur.com/a/pFvir

Lucy/kali is a bit more your shape and id see if those dont work - go with a 28G in that.

For starters - stick to your UK size :-) That's how we refer to sizing around here as it's more standardized and the bras you'll find fit you will most likely be using UK sizing.

From the numbers and way you describe your shape, you are projected, narrow rooted, probably short rooted, and pendulous. This is a common shape among your size especially. You'll need to look for bras that allow for immediate projection - meaning there is a lot of space at the bottom of the cup for the underwires to properly sit in your IMF. It makes sense that a 40 band is riding up, as it's really too large for your ribcage, but I would hesitate to tell you to try 36 bands across the board. In brands that run stretchier, such as Freya, you'd probably be fine in a 36. Also as you get larger in bands, they often get stretchier so you may find 36's to be your best bet. For now I would start with both 36 and some 38s until you figure out what will work best for you.

Your 40DDD is roughly a UK 40E. The gap at the center likely comes from the cups being too small and also probably the wrong shape. Are you scooping and swooping all your tissue into the cups? How far away is the center gore and how much overspill are you getting? I suspect 38FF/G is probably an overestimation. From your numbers I'm getting 38E as likely the smallest possible and 36G as likely the largest possible size. I would start with 38F and 36FF. A good projected bra to start with available in that size is Panache Envy. Cleo Kali is good for fuller on bottom shapes but may or may not have enough room at the underwire for you and the wires are likely to be a little wide. Cleo Erin is a discontinued clone of Cleo Lily, also discontinued, which is like The Awesomest UK Bra for narrow roots and even fullness/short roots on the planet, but is difficult to find anywhere. There are a couple left in both 38F and 36FF on eBay though.

I suspect UK wires may run a bit on the wide side for you, but it's hard to tell without trying some on. Are you nursing? Cake Macaroon is a pretty nursing bra available in your size range but I don't know how it fits.

I'm not an expert on recommendations in your size range, so I hope someone else chimes in with more suggestions!

You're freaking adorable!

Okay, so here we go.

For retro, try Sidecca. Cute, huh?

For just plain pretty/sexy, slide on over to eVogues.

eShakti has a wide range of styles and sizes, not just width, but height as well. I can't tell your height from your pictures, but for most non-average women, having something made for the proper height is almost a luxury. They have retro to several decades as well as fresh, new stuff.

Congrats on finding a bra you love! The Panache Andorra and Envy fit very similar to the Jasmine, so check 'em out too. Fern and Clara are also good bets if you like Jasmine. I loved the black leopard Jasmine colorway for this season! http://dearscarlett.com/collections/full-cup-bra-panty-sets/products/jasmine-balconnet-bra-leopard

For sports bras, Panache is good, but Anita has this extreme control bra that's my go-to. The white is less stretchy/works better than the colored ones, although it gets dingy fast. Also, the sizing is weird or maybe I prefer being totally mashed...? Haha! Anyway, I'm a UK 32FF in practically everything, but wear a European 34E in this bra. http://www.amazon.com/Anita-Womens-Extreme-Control-Sport/dp/B001VH7UO0

u/sanantoniocookies · 1 pointr/Weddingsunder10k

It was this one but it looked nothing like the picture. It didn't have a lot of reviews either but I decided to risk it. It looked super cheap and instead of nice lace it had his weird lace and cheap sequins. It was also just a zipper in the back and I should've just bought the one with the most reviews first.

My advice, after looking at so many, check out the reviews and customer photos. You can really see if it looks like the original and go from there.
I was also debating between this and this.
I didn't really have a set style I was looking for so I seriously debating buying all 4 and then returning the dresses I didn't like but decided on the first one (which was terrible) and then decided for $79 the second one would work.
Hope you find one you like!

These fruit of the loom are super comfy! I bought them before giving birth and loved them before and after giving birth and still love them now. I like bikini cut but they have other styles and its the price and comfort of the material that I recommend.

u/Owlyn · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

I'm a 34F and I love the Anita bras. Kind of on the pricey side, but I have had 3 and they are the best support I've ever found, and have lasted months.

I recently bought these two shirts:
Levaca Womens Tops Button Cowl Neck Casual Slim Fit Tunic Shirts Gray M

REGNA X Basic women's deep V neck loose fit long yoga long sleeve T-shirt top

And these leggings:
Hue Women's Ultra Leggings with Wide Waistband, Black
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005XLTHSM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vJgKyb1JZQHTD

Kind of basic. I wanted items that would work with my standard black leggings. Should get them in the mail tomorrow and I'll report how they worked for me. :)

u/vfj · 5 pointsr/weddingplanning

I have this sticky bra that I have been reusing for like a year. It provides a little shape- not as much support, but you're never going to get much of that in a strapless bra- and stays on REALLY well. I am a 34C. It's lasted so long because the adhesive is SUPER sticky. When I take it off I just stick the cups together. Never had a problem with sweat but that's just me

u/BuckeyeBride · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

I wore an adhesive strapless bra (https://www.amazon.com/Tidetell-Adhesive-Invisible-Strapless-Thickness/dp/B00PIAPPYI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480560080&sr=8-1&keywords=adhesive+strapless+bra) because I knew seeing the bra at all would drive me crazy. Definitely wore panties that completely covered my butt though!

I wore heels because I'm pretty short and knew I'd be wearing heels on the day of the wedding. So, I wanted to see how the dress would look on me when I was a bit "longer" :)

That said, I would just wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident!

thanks so much -- I own the seamless molded tshirt bra and it's great, but i can't wear anything lower cut with it and it buckles a lot when I lean over. I have such a small clavicle that it's just too large of a gore. I haven't been able to convince my usual bra shop to get me into the Jana ... I think for reasons that seemed very valid at the time but that I now no longer remember.

*and yes! I'd love recs for other brands!!

u/unicornwhiskers · 8 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Do what you gotta do! Clothes are clothes. Other people have made good suggestions. If it's just your nipples that are causing the discomfort, they make a variety of nipple petal thingies like this. They'd be a lot more discreet than a bra and would probably help stop the friction of rubbing against your clothes. (At least I'd think so, I've never really worn them because my boobs need way more support.)

Are your parents aware that you are on the spectrum? Do you see a counselor or therapist? I think that if you explained to them that you are wearing booby things for sensory reasons, they would be open minded, but I'm not sure what your parents are like. Good luck!

u/RumpleAndBelle · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I think that tie would go lovely with one of those propeller hats :P I'd get a kick out of it. I would wear This skirt and this shirt because I am cool like that plus I don't know what other shirt to match with the skirt.

I personally love Olive Garden but would be up for suggestions of other places, how about yourself? What food type sounds good? Perhaps we could invite /u/AmberxAltF4 and /u/AuntChiladas to come eat with us?

u/bicycle_mice · 8 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I also hate wearing bras (I have smaller boobs and I find them all so uncomfortable) but I really love wearing this comfy bralette. It feels like I'm wearing nothing, smooths over my nipples, but doesn't have any padding or tightness. Also, it's really cheap. Consider throwing something like this on and meet in the middle?

u/yumoja · 3 pointsr/bigboobproblems

I get what you mean about the irritation. It's my pet peeve when women can't understand that it's not physically comfortable for some women to go braless, no matter how much they may want to. I'm a 34F. I was braless for 80% of last winter and since May I've been braless about 50% of the time. As soon as the weather cools down I anticipate going up to 80% or more again. It's been absolutely glorious.

I'm lucky to be able to do it so frequently though. It doesn't hurt me to not be supported, my job isn't very physical, and the area where I live has long winters so I can wear shawls/big scarves/many layers for a long time. During the summer I got myself these lovely things and could get away with just a loose dark tank top and a thin cardigan. As far as I now, people don't notice, and even if they do, as long as my nipples aren't giving them directions, I personally don't care very much. My girls are free and happy!

u/Iophobic · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I think the outfit looks nice overall! I can kinda see the sweater seam but it's not distracting, I actually find it a little interesting.

I see what you mean about the jeans and boots but it doesn't look terrible. Maybe wearing a pair that's tighter in the calf/ankle? I like to wear my Levi's 535 leggings with ankle boots since they're basically glued to my legs and don't create awkward bulges.

I would try this outfit out with a solid tee. The stripes don't look bad but tucking it in creates weird lines. I think [thin] horizontal stripes can actually be flattering (or maybe I tell myself this to justify the gross amount of striped shirts I own)

u/cealion · 5 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I know UO definitely sells flesh colored ones such as this or this. Also check out Aerie.

My sister wears silicone nipple covers all the time with really thin tops and they work out great for her. This is what she buys.

u/smemily · 9 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes
  1. don't buy VS bras.
  2. only handwash (or at least gentle cycle) bras.
  3. only hang-dry, NEVER machine-dry bras.
  4. buy better bras.

If you have biggish boobs, the absolute best underwire bra I have owned is by Fantasie. It's not padded but gives FANTASTIC uplifted shape, doesn't slide around in back (assuming sized properly), doesn't create backfat bulges, etc. I know it's like $60 damn dollars but check eBay, sometimes you can find it new or tried on for more around $20.

This model of bra lasted me, no joke, over 4 years of frequent use before getting stretched out because the elastic aged. I can't recommend it enough.

This is actually my backup dress if I end up not being able to lose the weight I gained after purchasing my other dress (thanks anxiety!) so maybe it could be the second option if you can't find one from the original designer?

u/linguinee · 34 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I got a bunch of awesome outfit feedback in the thread this week, most of which recommending accessories to make a fit look more intentional. I dug out a long necklace and wore it with this outfit, and I think it helps not look like I'm wearing a huge bag. I mean, I'm still wearing a bag (Uniqlo dress, so comfortable), but more fashionably? :P

ALSO I don't remember who linked to it, but someone posted this cat shirt in one of the weekly threads a few weeks ago. I totally ordered it and it finally came in the mail from China a few days ago and I wore it yesterday! THE EYES. It may be my favorite shirt ever.

u/lemon-s · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I haven't had that specific cut but I've had a few pairs of black jeans and jeggings from Levi's. I have the same ankle issues and the 535 leggings fit well in that respect, the ones I have now, not so much.

Both pairs of jeggings faded in about a year, the jeans seem to be less prone to that. Didn't have any issues with either stretching out.

u/luftballoons · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I've used these type of adhesives before. They aren't great and if you sweat at all they start coming undone, but they do cover the nip and give you a little lift. Since you have a smaller volume than me, they might work better for you.

What is the bra function you're looking for? Nipple coverage, lift, shaping, stabilization/support? If you're fairly self supporting, you could just use pasties for nipple coverage.

u/llama_delrey · 5 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

This is kind of a dumb quesiton but whatever. I have pretty small feet (usually a size 5, but sometimes 4.5, depending on the shoe). I feel like "no show" socks (this style, not the really tiny style) are not no show on me. Like they come up over my ankle bone, instead of being under it like the models in that amazon picture. Does anyone else have the same problem? Do I just need to convert to the really tiny socks if I want "no show"?

I'm also considering knitting all of my socks by hand, because I am an insane person.

I got this and have been really happy with it! It's not super tight and doesn't bunch up or squeeze me anywhere. Just smooths everything out under thin dresses. I also like that it makes my bump feel supported.

u/Jorose85 · 3 pointsr/BabyBumps

For the maxi dresses (I lived in them at the end of my first pregnancy since it was July) get a pair or two of these support undershort things. They hold up your bump and keep chub rub from being an issue - maxi dresses are the best!

u/afternoon_delightful · 12 pointsr/beyondthebump

Wearing a bra will not prevent sagging. That’s a myth. Sagging depends on the type of tissue in your breast, genetics, pregnancies, age, etc. So wear whatever kid of bra you want. Since my boobs fluctuated in size while nursing, I got some comfy, stretchy bras that could clip down like these Hanes bras and wore them pretty much for the first 6 months. Still wear them now sometimes!

u/spacenb · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I would recommend that you try the specific cut/bra that I recommended above.

The Freya Longlines are also bras that are definitely on the shallow side i.e. not what you need.

Also if, in the future, you find a bra that fits perfectly but is stabby in the gore, you can use pliers to bend the underwires outwards, away from your sternum at the gore. But don't do this with this bra, return it and try one of the bras/cuts I recommended.

I've bought a few clothing items off Amazon.

I own three of these inexpensive Next Level T-shirts.

I also bought this Zeraca bikini for my most recent beach vacation and was very happy with the quality.

I own several of these bralettes and wear them frequently.

u/mmmnutella · 11 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

What brands did you try? I use these ones from HUE (they come in nude or black) and they work great.

u/cramp · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Hue no show socks are worth a try - they have grips on the back and won't fall down. The only issue with them is they're so thin and sometimes boots fit better with thick socks.

u/Rippersole · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

Rather than order maternity scrubs, I bought larger size regular scrub pants and wear maternity "shapewear" underneath them. The pants sit under the bump. This is the brand I use: http://www.amazon.com/Belevation-Maternity-Shapewear-Mid-Thigh-Pettipant/dp/B008HS00PC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374026683&sr=8-1&keywords=belevation+maternity+boyshort

Don't be scared by the word shapewear, they're not tight, they breathe well and they provide some much needed support. Also, if you're going to be working twelves, I can't stress the importance of compression socks enough, especially as you get into late 2nd trimester and beyond. These have saved my feet: http://www.amazon.com/Pintoli-Womens-Compression-15-20mmHg-Medium/dp/B00657YPO4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374027084&sr=8-1&keywords=pintoli+style+1020+women%27s+comfy+compression+socks

Sorry for the long links, formatting is not my area:) Also, I guess these suggestions are more pertinent to working rather than pinning, but there it is.

Give this bra a shot. I wear something like 34G and nothing moves for me. Also check out blogilates - her calenders are a mix of pilates, bodyweight workouts, stretching and high intensity cardio. I bought these for wearing until dresses I can't wear a bra with, or just covering my nipples. They're comfortable and re-usable, I felt they were decent for the price.

u/wanderedoff · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I look for ones like these that are low enough for a smoking slipper/flat and have a silicone piece at the heel. I also don't buy "one size fits all" and look towards ones that are divided into small/large categories. When I leave the house in the morning, they will unclip from my heel once or twice, and then they are good for the rest of the day.

u/cheerupchum · 1 pointr/cringe

Dude she's clearly wearing a sports bra esque shirt that is black so I don't see why she would need to cover her nips, especially since when they fall out (as two individual pieces, not like an 'invisible bra' at all which is clasped in the middle) you can't see her nips.
