Top Left - Right:

Dakine Backpack 25L - Bought for $17 two years ago. Hasn't shown its age at all.

Chicago Cubs Floral Hat - I have fro-like hair, it keeps it down.

ZtuntZ Longboard - For getting around campus.

Bluetooth Headphones - They're not very good. I used a Best Buy gift card for them, so they do the job.

Collapsable Umbrella - Lightweight and easy to fit.

Hanes Black Socks - I wear sandals most of the time, so a dry pair of socks is good to have on hand.

Mittens - My dad bought them for me last Christmas. He said a pianist's hands shouldn't be numb when he goes to practice.

Organ Shoes - These have leather soles so that they don't dirty the pedalboard at the bottom.

AmazonBasics Laptop Case - Rough, and I don't like to use it, but I dropped my laptop so I'm being more careful.

MacBook Air - Does the job well. OK battery.

Middle Left - Right:

Starbucks 16oz Travel Mug - I worked at Sbux and got this at a discount. I'm trying to be less wasteful, so instead of buying packs of waters, I just refill it at school and work.

Mead Five Star Journal - Small notebook I use to document my practice times and what I worked on.

Korg Tuner - I don't need a tuner but someone might, so I like to keep it on hand.

Music - IMSLP printed, Beethoven Urtext and Hanon exercises for Piano.

Hal Leonard Manuscript Journal - Amazon Prime available and cheap. Worth it.

Vandoren Classical A. Sax Reeds
Miraphone Tuba Mouthpiece - I keep these for distractions. I work on buzzing and breaths.
Giddings and Webster Trombone Mouthpiece

Protec Tuba Mouthpiece Case - Fits 2

Bach Orgelbuchlein - Organ Music

The Sea Wolf - When I want to relax, I'll make sure I have a good book on hand.

Bottom Left - Right:

Herschel Wallet - I keep $20 in astd. bills just in case.

Generic Binoculars - Useful for bird watching.

Eagle Scout Card - I'm pretty proud of it and carry it on me at all times.

Anker Charger for Nexus - My original charger gave out and I decided to try this. It's a rapid charger. Not much else.

Bic Lighters

Gerber Paraframe 3in. Knife

Garrity Flashlight

3DS XL Pokemon XY Edi. and charger - My job lets us take small electronics so it's my go-to

Hex Key Set - My bike's handlebars need constant tightening, so I just keep all of them together

Chicago Blackhawks Lanyard - Has Smith & Wesson handcuff key, keys to the organ recital hall, my apartment and my mailbox.

You could go for this one. It's called the ebags professional slim. I've had it for almost 6 months now and I have no complaints. I have an 15 R3 but if fits very nicely with lots of room to spare! Even though it is a little expensive I honestly think it's worth every penny. its got lots of storage with organization options, a battery garage which you can remove to have even more room in the laptop compartment which is already really roomy, a padded laptop compartment which I really like, and it even has a spot for your mouse. It's also very stylish as well. It has a lot more to offer but the list would become too long lol.

One last thing that I want to mention is that I use this for college and it's honestly great. I know alienware's are on the heavier side of gaming laptops, but this backpack just makes it so comfy to carry around. I also use the backpack for college which I also have room for some folders, my sony headphones case, my textbooks, and all of my school supplies and a little more. also watch the video on their website if you can. The bag itself offers a lot to its user. But if you have any questions about it, please do let me know!

Happy hunting!

I'm pretty happy, actually, overall. I also don't really notice any fan noise. I ended up with the i7- and someone suggested that one might not have the fan problem.

I've settled in to "this is my laptop now" pretty quick. Meaning I haven't jumped on my old one to do something because it was more convenient.

Eventually I want to run some stress test type programs on it but haven't yet. All these messages about Lenovo support have me concerned, but so far so good.

I bought a dock so all my accessories and two monitors etc. are all dealt with with one plug, that setup was pretty easy.

I'm not sure how much faster it is than my old computer. Once time I booted Chrome on both and it came up faster on my 8 year old Dell i5. But copying things here and there is definitely faster.

LOVE having the button to boot to BIOS as an actual button on the side. And loving the weight reduction from my older laptop as well.

Had an issue trying to upgrade the bios, it gave an error and I gotta figure it out, but all other updates went through no problem.

Built in webcam seems kinda low quality, but that's not a big deal.

Overall, pretty happy.

Oh- I ended up getting this 14" case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XJBDM98/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Interesting point- yeah, this one is just a hair larger than the actual laptop. I don't know how they take their measurements. I don't really mind. Except until now that you mentioned it, lol....

Edit: I'm not a fan of the keyboard. The keys are too far apart, that will take some getting used to. But I keep it docked most of the time with an external mouse & keyboard, so it's not an all-the-time factor.

u/twahlin · 2 pointsr/backpacks

$100 is a little bit low, but let me try to toss a couple recs your way! Definitely agree on the GR2 being a great pack.

The Timbuk2 Spire could be a decent option for you and it's about 75 bucks + 32L.

The Mammut Seon Cargo could be a good fit, and it's about 140 bucks & 35L.

You could check out the 31L Wanrdrd Prvke which is around $185.

Hope this helps - best of luck with the search!

Here's my accessories I prioritized weight and portability. I own the 13 in version

Sleeve
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0TOQEO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
15 inch fits the 13 inch version nearly perfect. the edges are cushioned and the entire sleeve has the shock cushion bubbles. It also has a little storage pocket, that can fit all of these accessories including the pen's cigar case.

https://www.amazon.com/Thule-Gauntlet-TMPA-115-15-Inch-MacBook/dp/B006DUOMAK
I regret getting this case, not that it's bad, but adds a considerable amount of weight, it's kind of tacky and it's overkill for my everyday travel, and pricey, but it does provide a great deal of protection and you can use it as a stand somewhat and you can store a lot in it.

Stand
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M05SYJL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Lightweight, portable, folds flat, supports 7 - 17" tablets, sturdy.

Keyboard
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UBGU4PY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can use the F1 stuff by pressing fn or something like that.

Adapter

Other than that I got the thunderbolt 3 cable and card to use it as a cintiq with my desktop

Thunderbolt 3
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AS8U9KE/ref=twister_B01FH7NG8I?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

With that I wish there was a more compact charging cable, maybe the apple USB C wall charger will work and a portable battery. Does anyone know how much power is needed to charge the Mobile Studio? and a good desk arm for this thing.

Here is a useful app if you want to voice control your tablet, but I think it might cause battery drain

u/gordonabstract · 4 pointsr/college

So, this is a bit of a stupid and vague question but I figured I should ask anyway. I bought a backpack specifically for college since my old high school one was falling apart. It's nice and has a compartment for my laptop, a main compartment which I can fit about 4 notebooks into with room for a little agenda, and a front compartment that I've put a bunch of random stuff in (stuff like gum, Advil, hand sanitizer, writing utensils, and a portable battery).

My question: should I be expecting to carry way more stuff for my freshmen year of college? Should I opt for an even bigger backpack? This might depend on classes too. My girlfriend told me that I should've gotten a bigger backpack since my new one, with all the stuff I mentioned, is pretty full now, but she also said to at least use it for the first week before deciding to return it.

She has a point but I also wanted to point out that there's only one day a week where I have 3 classes. The other days, I usually have one or two classes that are pretty spaced out, so I could leave certain materials in my car and run to get them if I really needed too.

Let me know on what your opinion is regarding backpacks for college. And another question, for the heck of it: what laptop/computer are you rocking for college?

u/los_rocket_sturgeons · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

http://www.amazon.com/eBags-Professional-Laptop-Backpack-Solid/dp/B00DU0PEA8

Light, super well organized, super well built. I use it day to day and also used it for a 2 day trip to NYC with no issues. I've sold three or four of these at my work to people who've seen it.

The "AC adapter garage" is worth it alone, but this backpack just feels great, is built great, and looks great.

EDIT: I realize not all these external water bottle holders, but thought they were worth keeping as budget recommendations. If the water bottle holder is a non-negotiable, id personally gonwith the Daylite Plus as I have the Daylite (non-plus model) and love it.

Also, a bonus recommendation: Timbuk2 Rogue, Carbon/Fire, One Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0136N9Z2Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_cwyjDbAFW5Q12

I actually love the water bottle holder on this. It’s quite a compact bag, but can fit a ton when needed.

u/Thallassa · 2 pointsr/SampleSize

Ooh, backpacks. Your questions were terrible, but I left a lot of feedback in the open section. As a small woman with a large laptop finding the perfect backpack is impossible, so I'm always happy to see new options. My current one is holding out very well so I won't be in the market for a long time... unless someone comes out with the absolute perfect one and I happen to see it.

ETA: The submission is timing out. Too much text maybe.

This is what I typed:

  • Sized for women
  • Large (fits 17" laptop)
  • lots of space for books, clothes, etc. either in a separate compartment or with the laptop
  • separate ipad/phone pouch
-no stupid pen/pencil pouches. My pens never fit in those individual-pen-sized ones. I'd rather have them loose in a small pouch.
  • Secure waterbottle pouch that fits fullsize (think nalgene) bottle, ideally one on each side or centered for weight balance
  • at least one separate smaller pouch (for collecting ID/credit cards, plane tickets, etc, and one for food).
  • when all that's said and done, a relatively sleek look, solid black or other "adult" colors, not looking like something a middle schooler would wear. (Also I'm not that into the hipster leather stuff).

My current backpack is the e-bag slim professional https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DU0PEA8 and while it hits almost all the tick boxes the interior storage is a bit small - there's more padding for the laptop than is really needed, and so you can barely fit books/clothes in there at all. The water bottle pouch is also too small for a nalgene, although it fits a regular store-bought bottle. Also, the straps are a bit far apart for a woman's shoulders, but if you need it to fit a 17" laptop what can you do?

Price is a consideration but I would be willing to pay around $200-250 for a backpack that hit all the tickmarks once my current one needs replacing.

I have this [Thule bag] (http://amzn.to/1DXRXcq) and I love it. Had it for about 2 years. One of the zipper pulls finally broke, but that's easily replaceable. Everything else, to include the zippers themselves, are in great shape. I travel the world with this thing and it holds up well. Great pockets for organization too.

u/grimmpulse · 2 pointsr/Surface

I've never liked the "folio" style cases for any of my devices. I know they might provide more ding protection, but I'm will to take the risk and care. For my SB 2 15 I'm using this when I travel -

iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case for 15-inch Microsoft Surface Book 2 Computer ( MS-SBK2-15 Clear ) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079T12629/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ggieBbGCMSBYQ

Relatively cheap, good enough to protect from scratches (probably wouldn't do much for big drops like the UAG), easy to put on and remove, has small flip up legs at the bottom rear for a little extra lift and doesn't hide the nice design of the SB. Plus colors 😉!

u/blaykk · 1 pointr/ipad

It’s not a sling-style, but this is the small backpack I use to carry my iPad. It looks great and is super slim. And the Grid-It system is perfect for holding wallet, keys, chargers, external batteries, and other small accessories.

u/ItsACharlieDay · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

to go on a hike and get inspired with my gadgets.

Or

to have a great time on the water

Or

to take a swim with my best friend.

Or

take a stroll downtown

There might be other trinkets on the list. Nice contest!

EDIT: I just looked over your contest again and see the cap... The dog life jacket meets the requirements I think.

This bag is pretty good. All Swiss travel backpacks are optimal for week stays at places imo.

Edit: They do have cheaper bags. That’s just one of the ones that I know work good. I enjoy Swiss bags a lot because they have a lot of pockets to store extra stuff in like souvenirs or small things you need. It really just depends on how you travel!

Just another option: http://www.amazon.com/Thule-Crossover-TCBP-217-Backpack-Ultrabooks/dp/B004XANKVO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382096059&sr=8-2&keywords=thule

I have a Dakine laptop backpack as well. I like the Dakine Terminal bag, but I much prefer this Thule model. I can fit more in it. I like the pocket layouts more on the Thule. It also has the nice 'crush-proof' pocket for sunglasses or whatever else you may like to put in there.

u/Milabial · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Looking for a backpack that’s professional enough for my nyc tech job, comfortable to wear, roomy enough for laptop, some stuff, change of gym clothes and lunch, but not necessarily gym shoes.

I have one I like the look of and it’s nice and light, but it’s super sweaty on my back and doesn’t hold enough. It's here.

Edit to fix link and fix description.

The amazon basic backpacks are surprisingly nice. There are a lot of options on amazon that fit into your budget. I like being able to carry two laptops, over ear headset, game controller, cables, tablet and also carry on items, so I'd go with something large like the Swiss or Targus II

I have a Tom Bihn Plot bagthat I use as my laptop bag, but like to have a neoprene or padded sleeve inside that I put my laptop in. After a good bit of research and trying a few sleeves (several of which didn't fit and were returned) I ended up with this Case Logic sleeve. It fits the T480s perfectly and the sleeve/laptop just fits in the Pilot carry-on bag.

u/kick4h4 · 1 pointr/chromeos

This is what I got for my toshiba:
https://www.amazon.com/ChromeBook-CB35-Bxxxx-CB35-Cxxxx-compatible-CB35-Axxxx/dp/B00R9NKIB2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498660364&sr=8-1&keywords=toshiba+chromebook+2+shell

Once the cb+, or other 2-in-1, was opened all the way, a shell like the 'top' cover could just clip over the face of the keyboard. My toshiba shell pops on and off as I need it.

A sleeve is an interesting idea, though the 'back' of the sleeve would have to be very thin to fit between the 'bottom' of the chromebook and the 'back' of the screen section without either messing with magnet latches or causing it not to be recognized as fully open. Thanks for the concept. :)

I got my on wednesday. I just had to undervolt (-0.105v) the CPU and everything is just perfect. I have the i5 version. I also got the Amazon Basic Sleeve yesterday (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B013TGFTDY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It fits great.

I really love the iPearl hard shell case for the Toshiba Chromebook 2. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R9NKIB2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also have the Case Logic neoprene sleeve. It is just OK. Fits good left to right but has a couple extra inches in the vertical direction so the fit is sloppy. It does have a nice pocket for the AC adapter. There has to be a better fitting sleeve out there for the Toshiba Chromebook 2.

u/robertthekillertire · 1 pointr/thinkpad

I have one of these for my X220 with a 9-cell, it's a snug fit but not difficult at all to get in and out. The material is really nice and it feels very well-made, so I have no complaints.

Honestly, any 13.3" MacBook sleeve with any flexibility should be able to fit a 12.5" ThinkPad, since the extra thickness seems to be offset almost exactly by the smaller width.

u/mmorton235 · 2 pointsr/DnD

Some options

  1. simple bag
  2. smaller bag
  3. Messenger bag, maybe not this one but look around they may work
  4. any backpack or canvas bag....option 2

I bought the CB2, first edition. The IPS screen is very bright and I like working on it. The unit is well-reviewed and has ended up on most top 10 lists. But as others note, the build materials could be better. If you plan to slam this around and semi-crush in a bookbag, dunno ..

I bought this cover fo $20 to give it a little added strength: https://www.amazon.com/ChromeBook-CB35-Bxxxx-CB35-Cxxxx-compatible-CB35-Axxxx/dp/B00R9NKIB2

And regarding android. Personally, I think it's going to take a couple of years for that to really shake out and become useful.

Excellent advice! I went with this one. Case Logic has always been good to me and the CB2 fits perfectly snug.

u/Ayn-Zar · 5 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I'd say what work bag to carry depends on your job and sense of style. Clothing "Casualization" and the need to keep electronic devices on hand have made backpacks more acceptable in office settings, and sometimes they can be more preferable than the expected briefcase. So unless your office's culture is very conservative (or your backpack is very loud), backpacks should be fine.

If you're still looking to move on from backpacks, I would recommend (Solo Hybrid Briefcase)[https://www.amazon.com/Laptop-Hybrid-Briefcase-Converts-Backpack/dp/B00JGHVJE4]; I carry mine briefcase-style when I'm in the office and then convert it into a backpack to better navigate moving through the city/rushing for the train.

Maybe this, http://www.amazon.com/Everki-Backpack-14-1-Inch-Laptops-EKP118/dp/B00LGN7Y3G but even this doesn't look so slim compared to some of the other brands. To be honest, I like the looks of that budget Belkin bag but the reviews scared me (expected from low end bag) so I don't want to be stranded. My other find is this thing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RRLIG1K/ Pretty interesting and slim. And another, while not the best looking bag, I actually saw one in the store and it's very light and looks sturdy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B3SMAHO but I am not sure about those buckles if they will last or crack (my previous bag had that springy plastic chip on me and break off, it was Swiss Army brand, maybe they use same plastic parts) Other finds: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YDP34CE and this slim one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LBYTMOY and of course there is Lenovo one, but this looks really dated and almost like $10 bags, but you never know until you get one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JV1LTA4

u/niandra3 · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

On Amazon the leather Mainstay is only $109.

I actually ordered the blue canvas Mainstay a while back and they sent me the blue Boatswain instead. I think they both look great, so I kept the Boatswain. Really nice bag.

Edit: Interestingly all of the bags are now cheaper on Navali's own site, except for the leather Mainstay. Only $50 for the canvas Mainstay.

Wrote this on another post. Hope it helps

Originally, I purchased the ProCase 14-15.6 Inch Laptop, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MFEHFKH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It was a little too big for the computer and I didn't like how much you can open the bag. I was always afraid if the bag was slightly open and not fully zipped, the computer would fall out.

I ended up with the Tomtoc 360° Protective Laptop Sleeve, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HCF0ZMI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Fits the computer perfectly and has a bit more protection.

Rather unfortunately, the Alienware 15 is too big for some 15.6 inch bags, because of the protruding back exhausts. You will have to look for 16-17.3 inch bags. 16 inch is more comfortable.

The closest that I found based on your needs is this on Amazon (US) https://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-LAPS-116-15-16-Inch/dp/B004NY9UXM

  1. Case Logic Laptop Sleeve or Nintendo 3DS XL

  2. The first item is more of a need than a want. I want to protect my laptop when I carry it around with my backpack. The Nintendo is a want, because I used to have a DS and I sold it since I needed money to pay for school.

  3. Saving Private Ryan is an awesome movie!
u/youRFate · 1 pointr/ipad

I use mine with the apple smart keyboard, and when I put it down on the table I make sure not to put it on it's back, so it doesn't scratch. For carrying it around I bought a felt sleeve like thise one.

I think the ipad pro feels amazing without a case and I don't want to spoil that. For example when I'm on the couch reading comics on it I will use it without any case.

However, I don't carry my ipad around outside often, it mostly stays in my home, I will only take it with me on longer trips. If I carried it for example every day to work or university I would probably think about getting a back case.

Another +1 for the North Face Surge 2. Also in Scotland I hear you regarding the weather. I just got this to handle the waterproofing. Easy to use and packs up small when not in use.

I use my bag daily to carry laptop (Dell Precision M4600) plus tools and all my other gear for work, walking 4 miles each way. Bag handles the weight well and despite being heavy (due contents, bag itself is light) it is very comfortable. Loads of compartments to organise your gear too.

I looked all over at backpacks before settling on the Surge II. Other one which caught my eye was the Thule 32l Crossover but could not find an example in shop to view first hand.

I was initially sceptical about the Surge thinking it the best of a bad bunch however it has been rock solid and can't recommend it highly enough.

I often put one or several board games into a laptop/iPad case. Something like this. They come in different sizes. Personally I have one smaller one and a large one. Most boards can fit in one of the two when folded, and then I add baggies containing the remaining bits and bobs. Keeps everything neat and tidy and somewhat protected without taking up too much space or weight.

With your budget, you should just get the ASUS G750JZ. I own the version with the 780M and it's built with incredible quality and its cooling can't be beat.

It has an i7-4700HQ, 24GB RAM, 1TB HDD + 2 x 128GB SSD's on RAID 0, Nvidia GTX 880M graphics and a 17.3" 1920x1080 display.

I'm in love with mine.

If you want to pay more and customize it, you can also get it on [XoticPC](http://www.xoticpc.com/product_info.php?ref=154&products_id=6979&affiliate_banner_id=1" target="_blank)

Keep in mind these are not portable at all, but you can get a laptop backpack to make it more reasonable to move.

For portability, I'd go with the [MSI GS70 Stealth](http://www.xoticpc.com/product_info.php?ref=154&products_id=6934&affiliate_banner_id=1" target="_blank), but you'd need to pre-order it as it isn't available as of yet.

The Razer Blade Pro is pretty gimmicky and I've heard a lot of things about the Switchblade not working well.

  2. i didnt see any bloatware, just some shortcuts for installing candycrush in the start menu. I deleted those and was good to go. Apart from the lenovo vantage app, there wasnt anythjng else installed.

  3. I’d recommend charging it to 100% and using like a regular laptop. The laptoo might run hot for the first few days, as windows gets used to your usage. I found it helpful to not keep it plugged in as the hardware soon adjusted to my usage habits on battery.

The trick is to cross reference the dimensions of the MacBook Pro with the internal dimensions of any sleeve. You don't necessarily have to get one specifically made for the MacBook. Generally, 14" sleeves seem to work best with the 15" 2016 Pro because of its smaller footprint.

I picked up a 13" AmazonBasics sleeve. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013TGFTDY/

It's a bit bigger than it needs to be, but has a front pocket where I stash the pencil and a cleaning cloth. Back pockets are good for dongles/adapters. And it's only $12.

u/christiannchrist · 0 pointsr/minimalism

Check out this Cocoon backpack. They have a "Grid-It" system in the front pocket that's amazing for all of the small things.

u/heateris · 1 pointr/chromeos

I just got this one. Fits perfect.

u/The---Technician · 2 pointsr/LaptopDeals

This eBags Professional Slim Laptop Backpack would hold the Predator 17x and is very comfortable. You can also remove it's padding to hold additional stuffs.

u/tehdoughnut17 · 1 pointr/chromeos

I was looking for a small, thin case/sleeve to protect the CBP when I carry it in my backpack and got this Tomtoc. It fits very snug without the side-to-side play. The small inner flap also protects it from the zipper.

u/DJ_SYRUP · 1 pointr/chromeos

I keep mine in an iPearl mCover, bought on Amazon here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R9NKIB2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Funny story, that probably belongs on /r/TIFU: I was sleeping in a cabin, and I had my sleeping bag on the top bunk of a bunk bed. My laptop, the Toshiba Chromebook 2 in question, was on top of my sleeping bag. Without thinking about it, I whipped my sleeping bag off of my bed.

My Chromebook went flying. Fortunately, it had the case on it. My laptop was left with a couple dings and some scratches, but the screen did not shatter and neither did the case. That case paid for itself 12 times over that day.

It serves me really well. It's durable and only fits what I need and nothing extra. Also the laptop pocket zipper is behind the straps so it can't be stolen.

From what I've read, any 14" laptop sleeve will work. FWIW I bought [this one] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XJBDM98/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), I heard the Amazonbasics sleeve is good too.

I've been using a timbuk2 spire in camo daily for the last 4 years. The only problem I had with it was when some oil got inside the bag (that's completely waterproof) and I had to clean it out without the benefit of ventilation. I had to shove it on top of a fan for 2 days to get it dried out.

It is a speaker under my desk. Having it in the corner really makes the bass reverb. Also, the backpack is a SwissGear smart-scan backpack. I really like it.

u/RustToRedemption · 2 pointsr/EDC

I used to use this every day when I was commuting on my bike. Kinda on the small side, so if you're looking to haul a bunch of gear probably not the right bag for you, but it served me well.

I got this exact keyboard and a case logic 11.6 inch sleeve (no handle.) I already have the case and the keyboard is getting here tomorrow. I'll report back with pics and fit then.

Edit: Pics

The short side fits perfect. The long side is slightly longer than the surface book. It's not really long enough that it shakes around in it or anything. Gives enough room to put the pen there, but I usually don't keep the pen attached there because it falls off when I pull the sb out.

If they have the 15 inch size, I'd go for that. It has worked well for me. shrug

I don't think that one does, but Navali does make another bag, The Mainstay that does have a laptop pocket. They are also even cheaper on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Navali-Leather-Mainstay-Messenger-Brown/dp/B00ANS7WQO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407244788&sr=8-1&keywords=navali

u/tophatpete · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I was curious about the Navali Leather Mainstay too. Just accepted a new job and wanted to class up my act a little without breaking the bank.

I have no personal experience with them (hopefully soon), and I didn't find much out there on MFA. No reviews on Navali's site, but here are some from Amazon.

u/ixidor7 · 1 pointr/iPadPro

I use the Solo Duane with my iPad Pro 11” in a Smart Keyboard Cover in the tablet slot adjacent the laptop compartment. I will say, it juuuuuust fits (very snug), but if you have any thinner cases it slides in no problem (and there’s a velcro strap to secure it from sliding out). I got this bag partly because it was on sale for $35 (normally $55) and partly because it’s a backpack-messenger hybrid which allows you to decide if you prefer to carry it as a messenger, backpack, or briefcase. Lots of compartments with thoughtful design (the small compartment zippers 2 sides so you can access it whether the bag’s on its side or standing). (https://www.amazon.com/Laptop-Hybrid-Briefcase-Converts-Backpack/dp/B00JGHVJE4/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=solo+new+york+backpack&qid=1565384516&s=gateway&sr=8-3)

iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case for 15-inch Microsoft Surface Book 2 Computer (MS-SBK2-15 Clear) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079T12629/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_OijiDbZ6R416D has been working really well for me to protect my SB2 15. It doesn’t block vents and seems to be durable (though it doesn’t protect the hinge - not sure much could due to the design).

I am a little concerned about heat and throttling though. The SB2 likes to move into the dreaded 400MHz mode in the summer when it gets hot and throttles.

u/Adamkiksyou · -6 pointsr/TeenMFA

I don't know, I don't feel like it's that flashy to be honest. Can't deny though that it is branded too hard, but at the moment it's either that or this, since they are the only backpacks I have, and the swissgear one is just too big to me for school use.

u/kvwviii · 3 pointsr/thinkpad

I bought this one from Amazon for my X1C3 and my T440p fits also.

u/GrowingUpCreepie · 5 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I just finished college. I would never carry a designer bag with me to class ... in high school it would be even worse especially if it's well known.

I would use an actual bookbag when I was in college and high school because textbooks hurt and you may need them for class. Get a backpack ... I like http://www.amazon.com/SwissGear-SA1908-ScanSmart-Backpack-Laptops/dp/B002OHDIWY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1408420368&sr=8-3&keywords=backpack+college
and carry my laptops.

Rebecca Minkoff ... I have a few of her bags from when she first came out. Quality went downhill imo. Marc by Marc Jacobs have nice bags ...

I am trying to think of something comparable to the Neverfull because honestly it's a waste of money at 900 for canvas. If I come across something I update.

My Navali Mainstay Messenger Bag (https://www.amazon.com/Navali-Leather-Mainstay-Computer-Messenger/dp/B00ANS7WQO) ripped recently and am in the market for a new messenger bag. I really liked the Navali, but it seems they no longer sell on Amazon and have doubled their price since I bought it. I'm looking for a bag that has a laptop sleeve, preferably a shoulder pad, and is genuine leather for <$150. Does anyone have any suggestions?

u/Wonsan · 1 pointr/travel

Are you from the US?

This or this?

They seem to have a separate zipper at the back for laptops, unless you're looking for a different style?

u/_JackWilshere · 3 pointsr/apple

Get a bagpack with a laptop sleeve and one of these.

u/tehsalt · 1 pointr/keyboards

What about a laptop bag such as this? There must be one suitable for the keyboard's dimmensions.

u/Khyrdantai · 1 pointr/apple

For a neoprene sleeve it seems really expensive. Especially with something that's basically the same for a lot cheaper.

u/this1 · 11 pointsr/frugalmalefashion

For the same price - and this one's full grain leather, not just genuine leather:

Just picked this up. Has a back zipper to get to the laptop quick without having to dig through the whole bag. It's also on sale right now.

Basically and MacBook pro 15 inch case will do.

I got this one, but the side padding is almost non existent, which I was kinda looking for.

Can't beat the spire for under $150. I tried this bag out for a week and loved it but then I found mission workshop and haven't looked back since.

This is what I have now but well worth it. I know it is out of your price range but I lug around a 15" MBP, iPad air, head phone otter box case, ray ban hard clase case. 3-5 small notebooks, and a keyboard I take to and from work and still have plenty of room.

This isn't a leather bag like you requested, but is my recommendation for a fabric one should you go that route:
