Yeah lets up the calcium a bit here for every feeding for 2 weeks and then drop it down to 2x a week.
This shouldn't be happening.
It looks like a break of the upper forearm, but is still straight, as if there's a second bone there holding it into position.
Oh wait, it's an illusion... bad camera angle :)
it's a single break of the Tibia and that the fibula is still intact and taking up the load.
alright lets see if you can help bring that down into position.
lets give it a good calcium dose to help strengthen things up a bit and then try to bring the bone back into position.
You may want to construct a splint of some sort and help position the bone so it'll grown and heal up.
IF there's a break that's going to happen, this is about the best place for it and fixing it again. Usually I think it's too difficult to get the chams cooperation in splinting or making a brace of some sort... but in this case it should be easy.
As long as you can do this quickly you can reduce the chance of complications.
Here's an idea.
go to a cloth or fabric store and find some double sided velcro strips. I'm sure you can find cheaper than this page
What you're looking for is a piece of velcro that will loop back though itself and be fastened.
The soft fuzzy side goes next to the skin while the "hooks" are out the outside. it should make a secure brace that is adjustable (carefully) and will hold the bone into place.
(cut the excess off)
As long as it's not too tight, it should work really well and it's something you can put on your little on quickly and before it gets an attitude and starts to really struggle (possibly causing more injuries)
Leave that on for a month or so and it should be good as new. wow I'm glad I came up with this idea! <feeling good>

General thoughts on the modding process... I had never done something like this, never used a raspberry pi either. I followed ETA's tutorial, browsed this forum for info and everything went smoothly. I encountered only 2 minor difficulties.
The button/joystick kit had 1 joystick wire that was faulty and thus was impossible to tell from looking at it.. After mounting and connecting everything the stick would not register 1 direction. Thinking the stock was at fault I ended up ordering a second kit. It took some tinkering to eventually narrowing it down to the wire! Drilling the 2 extra holes was rather straightforward but I did not think of how the wires would reach the buttons! I ended up drilling 2 small holes in the bottom of the plastic cover - not a super neat job but it's all hidden anyway.
Bottom line, it's relatively simple but I think any DIY project can have unexpected difficulties.. so be prepared.
Tips for anyone who wants to give this a try.. .
Is it easy? I would say yes. The components are plug and play so it's essentially Ikea furniture mounting level. But.. it does require to do things you likely have never done before so take your time and don't rush. The drilling part does require some minimal manual skills. I wouldn't try drilling through the main board... in particular if your equipment is some lightweight stuff. That main board holding the controls is rather thick, and you would risk damaging the artwork if you mess up. Cutting through the Plexi also seems rather challenging.
Cutting through the thin board placed under the controls however is simple.
One advice, if you plan to put back the black plastic cover that protects the underside of the controls, you need to keep that in mind when you decide to position your extra buttons. If you place them too high, you won't have enough clearance for the hidden part of the buttons due to the presence of the plastic cover. So, either position these lower (as I did) or plan not to use the cover.. it might be possible to cut through the black plastic cover but that sounds like a lot of trouble if you ask me..
Side note, I painted the back panel in black because the back of the cab is a little visible in my setup... It looks pretty good.
The cost...
Well, let's be honest, this is not a cheap project. Sure, if you scored a 75$ cab you're off to a good start but to me the look factor was essential. I personally think the Marvel cab is the best looking one currently available in the A1up lineup for a 2 player setup.
So, 250$ for the cab at Walmart. The Pi, the case, video adapter, SD card... Roughly 200$
Total.. 450$
Conclusion...
I absolutely love this thing... But not for the reasons I initially thought. The gaming part ends up being less important for me than the look. I have it setup in my game room (got a pool table and a second cab) and I find myself just turning the cabs on for the mood more than to play with them. Also, the modded cab with its led buttons looks just gorgeous.
That's it, happy modding everyone!
To be honest, you're asking a lot for your budget. If you want to sit next to the speaker and be able to listen to it at a reasonable volume, something like this would probably work well enough: http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Wireless-Bluetooth-Speaker-High-Def/dp/B00GZC35YK/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1427349938&sr=1-9&keywords=portable+speaker
But if you want to be able to actually be active and hear your music, you're going to have to get something much bigger. That said, you can do it without breaking your budget.
My advice would be to by a pair of these: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Powered-Computer-Speakers-A100/dp/B00GHY5F3K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1427350132&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+speakers
Power them with this: http://www.amazon.com/Battery-13000mAh-Portable-External-Cellphones/dp/B00K64WR9C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427350210&sr=8-1&keywords=battery+pack
And fasten them all together with this stuff (it's incredibly strong, trust me) http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-All-Weather-Fasteners-Inches-RFD7090/dp/B00347A8EO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1427350273&sr=8-7&keywords=dual+lock
That comes in at around $49 and while it's not going to blast your music, it will do you much better than any sub $50 bluetooth speaker.
Now if you're willing to spend some extra money, get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Wireless-Bluetooth-Speaker-Speakerphone/dp/B00E9YIFQ4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1427350482&sr=8-8&keywords=ultimate+ears
I can attest from personal experience that it's a pretty powerful little speaker, sounds great, and you can pair two of them for stereo listening.
You can remove them but I personally just leave them attached all the time, I don't find that they get in the way of anything. I use this chair for my normal computer stuff too, the brackets haven't changed anything. Here's a picture of how my chair looks with the brackets to give you a better idea (don't mind the messy cables on the floor). My previous chair wasn't as wide as this one, so the brackets kind of squished my legs a little when I was sitting in it, but it's not a problem with my current chair.
The brackets are very sturdy, you can swivel and rotate them but it takes a lot of force to do so. There's no movement at all when I use my joystick. The only thing is with the velcro - over time, after you've attached and un-attached your joystick so many times, it loses its strength, in which case the joystick does wiggle around a little bit. I personally just replace the velcro every once in a while, and that works fine for me. You could try a heavier duty velcro if it's a concern. I've been using this kind and it's been good enough for me. Hope this helps!
I teach mod/severe in CA. I would wait to see the population you're working with. There are some things you will need. Like velcro squares, velcro rolls, titanium scissors to cut velcro, laminator, 5 mil sheets, 3 mil sheets, rotary trimmer, and optional but I would highly suggest it, a color laser printer The printer can take all manner of recycled cartridges and its nice to have to create picture cards at home. I would also suggest getting a subscription to Lessonpix when you start teaching in order to create all the picture cards you need.
Buy smart and write your name on everything. Take things with you as you go from job to job, if you do so. You paid for it, you take it.
Buy cheaply. Try Oriental Trading Post, stuff straight from China on Ebay, Reallygoodstuff.com, Dollar Tree, 99 Cent store, etc. Look at end of holiday sales. Look at ways to make what you can or adapt items. Don't buy everything and anything.
Things i used:
-Bulk Order of 3M Picture Hanging Strips (about $35)
-VELCRO Brand - Industrial Strength - 2" Wide Tape, 15' - White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006HWYJM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_VQ7Jyb73WQA9B
-1 bottle of Gorilla Glue
The 3M strips can technically be used by themselves without the need for the roll of Velcro, but i like saving money and supplies whenever possible. The box of 3M strips came with 50 packs of 4-strips each for a total of 200. That means for $35 i can place my panels 200 times.
The roll of velcro comes with the cloth side and grab side as separate pieces. We only need the cloth side. Now take the long strip of cloth side velcro and cut out pieces that are about the size of the 3M strips (roughly 2"x1" if i remember correct).
Using the gorilla glue, adhere one of your hand cut velcro strips to the back of each panel about 1/3 from the top and centered. Rip the backing off the velcro strip first, then using 2 small drops of the glue should be enough to stick it to your panel.
Now all your 24 panels should have a 2x1 cloth strip permanently stuck to it's back. All you have to do now is place them.
For this, i prefer to stick the 3M picture strip to the cloth strip on the panel first. Then hold the panel up to the wall and position it. Then simply hold the panel in place with one hand and reach behind the panel to remove the adhesive cover on the 3M strip with the other hand. Then press firmly to ensure it sticks!
That's it!
Submarine Sweater:
Runs small, so size up (Wear Large T-shirt, buy XL sweater).
If to be worn in uniform, appropriate Velcro can be purchased here:
https://www.amazon.com/COYOTE-BROWN-SEW-HOOK-FASTENER/dp/B074ZKZTD4/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1537963280&sr=8-10&keywords=Ameratex
If you are able to use the supply system:
8405-00-163-XXXX
S: 8907, M: 8906, L: 8905, XL: 8908.
There is no NSN for 2XL or larger, but can be purchased online.
If you are buying one for yourself, but don’t want to pay $60 for a brand new one from the internet, you can either call around to local surplus stores. They will know them as “five button army sweaters”. The best bet is likely eBay. The trick on eBay is to run searches where someone running the store didn’t describe it the best way. You’ll find many hits on “five button army sweater” but also, try the manufacturers. Try searching for “DSCP sweater” and “mitts nitts sweater” and a little extra digging may yield good results.
Lastly, almost all are now made out of acrylic. You will have an extremely hard time finding a newish condition wool one for a reasonable price.
-cable tray(s) $22 - perfect for screwing into a think desk like yours, power strips can live in here as well
-nylon/velcro ties $7 - possibly cheaper at your local hardware store
With kush white walls like that a lil cable management might improve how you feel walking in every day!
Nice setup. Foot warmer could use some RGB tho
Awesome! Thanks mate.Found Some Extra Patches on Amazon as well. you'll have to put your own Velcro Backing on But that's easy enough.

Edit: Correcting Links
I mean, can't they change their company name? I guess its probably not cheap, but then this is a problem literally because they have been too successful in their marketing
edit: Maybe I'm wrong, not an expert, but it seems to me they are in this predicament because they advertised their products as Velcro, not Velcro hook and loop.

None of them list hook and loop anywhere, though to their credit they do list Velcro BRAND very clearly. And one of them does mention the product type as fastener. They should start advertising and packaging them as Velco brand hook and loop fasteners. That way if someone challenges their trademark in court, they can point out that every single one of their product's promotional material clearly separates the product from the company - right now, that's not clear in their own marketing (outside this video of course).
So I think people make it sound harder than it is. I ordered this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FMUJ8BO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and

Then I made paper cutouts of the rough shape of the sliders I want, transfered that to the teflon (with sharpie or so). Cut it out with a saw roughly and then just sanded with 120 to more precise shape, 200 to make it smooth, 600 to "polish" and then some sheep skin for really smooth edges at the end. The velcro stuff glued on to it out of the box and so far after couple months of curling having no issues with it adhering either to shoe nor teflon. The etched ones were expensive. I switches shoes since so the slider isn't perfect shape anymore, but still works perfectly well for curling so far. I also bought 2-component glue and all kinds of fancy chemicals to make it stick better, but the Chinese velcro has some magic glue on it already. Don't overthink it and just give it a try.
https://imgur.com/FVy61PE
P.S. with size 9, the 12x12 sheet was a bit tight, but should work up to 11 or so, depending what size slider you need. You can probably experiment with the hole in the middle etc. I also purchased these: https://www.stevescurling.com/product-p/sldisc.htm but they are a bit thin and don't slide fast enough imo, prefer the PTFE 1/4". Feel free to shoot me more questions, but it's really much simpler than it seems and a lot of people make it out to be.
ha ha ha! I sure hope so... I already have some rope and Velcro straps so this will be a nice alternative to add some variety.
Good start! Though the keystone jack type and cable type should match (Cat5e, Cat6a, and Cat6a all want different jack types -- slightly different spacing for punchdowns depending on cable specs). Here are a few other links to items to consider if you're going the DIY route (all options listed if you want to get really fancy):
If you get everything on that list, it'd might seem like overkill for a home install (though you'll thank yourself and have fun showing off a very professional install to friends if you have the budget/time to spare to do everything to the nines). Resell value of your home probably won't increase a huge amount from this, but if you happen to sell to a buyer who understands how this stuff works, they'll significantly appreciate it.
If you know how to sew and have access to a sewing machine you can make some great restraints with nylon web and steel D rings. If you cant find a local shop to buy your supplies you should be able to get it all on amazon.
Here's what I used to make my own:
At least 64 inches of 2-inch nylon webbing
https://www.amazon.com/Country-Brook-Design%C2%AE-Polypro-Webbing/dp/B003K2BNR4
2-inch steel D rings - 4 of those

Put it all together
Hopefully the instructions are clear enough. Here’s what I posted when I made my own set.
https://www.reddit.com/r/BDSMcommunity/comments/4vc902/diy_bondage_on_the_cheep/
The red pull tab in the pictures wasn’t in the instructions above because I didn’t want to overcomplicate things.
All together I spent about $24.00, but I bought all that locally.
Feel free to ask any questions.
I've used this to add velcro to a bunch of stuff. Super strong and reasonably priced. I needed to add a cloth badge onto the front of my carrier and couldn't find way to make it easy to remove. Worked very well. I've even had leftover velcro that I have used for other projects.

For the belt bag I just attach part of the bag with a carabiner. The bag has multiple hook points.
I don't have the QZ but I do have the GR1 which has MOLLE in a similar pattern.
What I do with MOLLE often is put a large split key ring (and/or fidlock) on one of the PALS (molle) and then use that to attach various carabineers to gear.
I also use double sided velcro as well.
For the other Zpack bags Zpack offers a self adhesive loop.
That is one nice thing about DCF is that glue/tape actually works pretty well for adhering things unlike nylon weaves.

Hope this helps. I had all this stuff in my work truck, so I just found the closest things i could to what i used.
The felt does both. The glass spacer doesn’t have the curve that follows the edge of the headset so the felt blocks light and gets the proper angle so the pad is actually resting on something. Everything is fastened by the adhesive of the felt or Velcro but I did use string to tighten a few places.

This is the same Velcro I used to attach DAS it’s easy to cut to shape and applies very firmly.
I find the upside-down, shin-mounted controller method the most natural for foot tracking too. I've had good luck with one inch velcro one-wrap. One strip between the trigger and closest sensor, and one higher up the leg/controller.
The Vive wand naturally wants to settle off the actual bone of the shin towards the outside of the leg and foot. This position also seems to be a little less prone to occlusion issues.
I'm going to pick up a pair of the flipsteady VCM1 controller mounts a user posted below since they look nice and sturdy.
Official lighthouse-enabled foot-tracking is probably on the way, but it's nice to experiment until then!
Haha, it’s a “mounting system” that I’m actually super happy with!
Just two long pieces of Velcro strapping (about 1” wide) threaded over the desk frame but under the desk top. The Velcro overlaps itself around the bottom of the case, by about 18”. I also stuck a plastic door bumper between the case and the desk leg, to keep the case hanging more or less vertical.
It’s very very solid. Much more than I would have anticipated. I can hit the power button on the case without any movement at all.
Here is an Amazon link to the straps
You have a bunch of different options available. What I typically do is take 2 inch industrial grade adhesive velcro (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C3EPH0I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and apply it where I want it. Then you can get all kinds of velcro attachable items to stick on it. If you want molle you can get panels like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C3EPH0I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 or this one https://www.amazon.com/BLACKHAWK-Identification-Panel-Speed-Clips/dp/B002T0DX12/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493059728&sr=8-2&keywords=molle+panel+velcro
Lots and lots of choices.
You could also glue in a molle panel with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007TSYNG8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 or just get a needle and thread and sew it in. It's not that hard and you'll learn some important skills that can save you a lot of money!
Hey thanks a lot!
It's holding up using the strongest velcro tape I could find at my local hardware store.
It's strong enough as it doesn't move at all even my I plug or unplug XLR cables from it.
I think that's exactly what I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0010HADEA
I would say it's as close to the vive w/ DAS as the quest could be comfort-wise, an immense improvement overall. The face cushion of the vive is more plush but that's the only difference IMO.
Links are in the description, but here they are as well:
edit: added new velcro
I would use something like this plastic velcro which could also give the games a floating effect from the back. You could alternatively use standard velcro but it would be harder to keep them perfectly level.
Like others have said dog bed with rubber bottom should help. If you want it more secured add this to the bottom of the bed.
I used double sided Velcro “tape” a few weeks ago. Wrapped it twice around my leg at different heights and it worked perfectly. Can get a roll of it for $6-$7 and it has a ton of other nice uses.

Little things can help like :
-cable length (use length you need not anything longer; especially for the permanent fixtures that won't require alot of moving)
-bundle the wires up. I'll provide some examples

The keys were originally bright white. :) It's an old keyboard now, so the keycaps are showing wear.
The keycaps and keyboard are the Ducky Goat Edition: https://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/Ducky-Year-Of-The-Goat-Edition
The keycaps that came with the Ducky Goat, IIRC were ABS shine-through keycaps, which will discolor over time/use like normal keycaps. I have a backup set of PBT double-shot shine-through white keycaps from a separate vendor that supposedly will stay white through a longer period of use. (I haven't swapped them yet, but maybe I should... they ARE starting to look a little ivory-ish.)
EDIT: Oh yeah, this might help with cable management. This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-ONE-WRAP-Double-Sided-Multi-Purpose/dp/B004C232WA?th=1
you can try something like this, https://www.amazon.com/Approx-Adhestive-Strips-Sticky-Fastener/dp/B01AI28QFU/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_201_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RAQ8RH8B64KGGQGA7DST. which is attached via adhesives on both the patch and the box. once they are both secured, you can stick the patch on or take it off the box whenever you'd like.
Hmmm ... not a bad idea get some sanding discs, a roll of velcro
So velcro has 2 sides (called hook and loop in the link). Which is the soft side? I would need a lot of one kind for each disc and just an 8x8 circle of the other kind, which would attach to the metal disc of the sander. Which (hoop, link) do you think would be best where?

The Velcro has a sticky back that will glue to almost any surface. I just prepped the bag and the patches by cleaning them with alcohol. I didn't even have to stitch anything. It glues on very strong. I got it from my local hardware store. I'm sure you can find something similar online Like This
This is my list.
4x2" Industrial Velcro
Tri-Glide Slide
1.5" Wide One Wrap Velcro
Other people use a D-Ring instead but I prefer the look of the tri-glide slide instead. You need to make sure to use Industrial Velcro for the attachment of the DAS.
Here is what mine looks like
Try some 3M dual lock pads like they use on the back of the EZpass transponders and such. I use these on my cam and it's very easy to take off and put back up. https://www.amazon.com/Scotch-All-Weather-Fasteners-Inches-RFD7090/dp/B00347A8EO/
6 inch wide Velcro strips fit perfectly. Just cut them with some scissors to whatever size you think is appropriate and you can essentially adjust the retention of your Velcro.
HUAYY Sew on Hook and Loop Style,Non-Adhesive Nylon Strips Fabric,Black (6in x 1yd) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNYQ833/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9WBDDb8KC3239
I would use double sided tape of some sort to make-shift put it back on, or a better option would be to purchase adhesive Velcro straps like these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0010HADEA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GFr7CbN78G7WD
try using these : https://www.amazon.com/Vkey-1000pcs-Diameter-Adhesive-White-Delivery/dp/B016YFUQGW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1510833140&sr=8-3&keywords=velcro+tape+dots
They work like a charm
I use the DAS that i had for the vive, ordered the 3d printed pieces to hook the pimax to it. Pimax face foam felt good but need the HMD around an inch or two more from my face. Used double sided velcro in between the face foam and HMD and it looks like it just might be enough.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000078CUB
While the naysayers are right and it's a bit unsafe I recommend strong velcro tape like this, in the case of a crash the battery pack would be ripped off, but under all other conditions that velcro will hold anything securely in place even at speed.
me too;
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006IC2S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
works great
Maybe try something like this Scotch(R) All-Weather Fasteners, 2 Sets of 1 Inch x 3 Inches, Strips, Clear (RFD7090) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00347A8EO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_QL7PCb0PW60YH
The patch is iron-on so I attached some of this Velcro with its adhesive and it has worked great.
Unless you're going to be doing a lot of them, I'm going to just recommend something like these
If you want the 'I dont want to see any hanging wires look', you might get good results if you mount the power strip beneath your desk. Since it seems rather large it may be heavy. You can either screw it into your desk or you could try heavy duty Velcro Strips. There are also under desk trays and baskets you can use to just hold everything.
If you dont mind some wires showing, you can try sleeves for the cables and use a cable box for the power strip.
I found some really soft double sided Velcro from the craft store and it works really well with the sport sheet harness and my medium Nova as well as Peirce.
Edit: I believe it's this Velcro https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-ONE-WRAP-Double-Sided-Multi-Purpose/dp/B000078CUB/
These and a some of this are useful too
http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-All-Weather-Fasteners-Inches-RFD7090/dp/B00347A8EO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1419056661&sr=8-7&keywords=3m+dual+lock
Sticks to glass, and pretty much anything else. Removes without any residue.
I bought my Velcro on amazon but I went to Home Depot for a D ring and found the same Velcro there as well
The long wait for the VRCover drove me to find an alternative so I took a gamble on some Vive face cushions. There are probably better alternatives but here is what I did:

Bought this
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCHYD6T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and this
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010HADEA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I cut the velcro strips into little rectangles and put them on the glasses spacer, then I simply attached the face cushion to spacer. It doesn't fit perfectly, you gotta work it into the correct shape. However I actually dig the foam padding, it's more comfortable than the stock foam and doesn't absorb sweat which I really like. It's not a high quality product though, there is some tearing at the seams but it doesn't seem to be getting any larger. Also depending on how you get the cushion to fit there could be a little leakage on the sides, not much though. I don't know notice it at all while playing. No idea if that makes the Quest vulnerable to sun damage so be careful and don't blame me if you damage your Quest. Lastly, the foam makes wearing certain glasses uncomfortable, I use some thin harry potter style glasses for VR though and they work just fine. Obviously not a perfect solution but it works well for me.

Edit: Just noticing there are Vive Pro cushions (I hadn't noticed before). Those might work out better for glasses. Can't say for sure.
I thing the best use case for these things would be in camping, sure as hell wouldn't be tying down anything to a car.

I prefer this method because I can cut it to the lenght I need and I don't have to re-do it if I need to adjust the straps.
I wouldn't get these. Grab a continuous roll of double sided velcro instead. Cut it to the exact length you need and there's no excess to wrap up. Also more durable.
You might be able to find it cheaper in a store.

I use https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-ONE-WRAP-Double-Sided-Multi-Purpose/dp/B000078CUB for cable management and something like https://www.amazon.com/PERFECT-VISION-MOUNTING-SATELLITE-CT7BLK-MH/dp/B00XUYJZBI depending on the location.
I used to zip tie all the things, but hated having to cut a bunch just to add or remove a cable.
