I own the Hori arcade stick. I really like it and it works very well.
I also own a PS3 mad cats TE stick (mine has different art than this, best match I could find), I really like that one too. I use this usb stick to make mine work with my switch
I find that these sticks each have their own pros and cons.
|Hori|MadCatz|
|:-|:-|
|Soft plastic round buttons. Very Good|Hard plastic sawa style buttons. Perfect|
|Very hard clicking, very mechanical feeling stick. I love it. Just slightly better for change/charge moves|Softer smother stick, I also love it.|
|No lock feature, however the home button is all the way on the side so it is hard to press by accident. However I do hit start by mistake sometimes when going for a L1|Has a lock out switch, never accidentally press start or the system menu button again! Love It|
|Light weight and easy to put in your lap. Great|Heaviest stick I have every held. Still good for the lap, but I prefer a table. Also Great, but a little different|
|USB cord stores in controller. Feels Cheap|USB cord stores in controller. Feels Great|
|It's RED!|Lots of artwork options available. Pick a style that suits you!|
|Works on Switch and PC (x-input)! Change between the two with a hidden switch on the arcade stick! Wonderful Feature|Works on PS3 (and ps4 games with legacy support). Works on PC only if you set up a custom controller profile in steam. Works with switch when using the usb stick linked above. Not perfect but it will work|
|$150 New and feels like a $150 in your hands|$300-400 new and feels like $300-400 in your hands; but you won't get yours new. I don't think they are made anymore. Hunt for one on amazon or ebay, condition may very. I linked to a OEM/stock one that was going for 280 when in stock.|
I use the MadCatz on my pc as my main steam controller. I use the Hori on my switch. The adapter is used for when a friend comes over. I would never take the MadCatz stick to a competition. It only takes one drunk dudebro spilling a beer to ruin my irreplaceable controller.
If I were you, I would pick the Hori controller for simplicity and price. However if you want to try the MadCatz I found this for about 85-100, it may pair well with the use this usb stick for a very good $120-130 price tag. However the $85 sticks are stated to be in what amazon calls "acceptable condition" and may be missing packaging, manuals, or other pieces.
BECAUSE THIS IS FUCK YOU FRIDAY I HAVE TO PREFACE THIS WITH RAGE; I AM BEFUDDLED BY, BUT ADMIRE ANYONE'S ABILITY TO PLAY AN MMO WITH A CONTROLLER. IT FEELS LIKE TRYING TO THREAD A NEEDLE WITH A 500 DPS DRG'S NOODLY E-PEEN TO ME.
I USED DS4WINDOWS FOR ACTIONY STUFF BEFORE AND IT WAS JUST FINE. IT EVEN CAN USE BLUETOOTH IF YOUR PC HAS THE CAPABILITY. ANOTHER WAY IS FOUND VIA THIS ARTICLE USING INPUT MAPPER. A THIRD WAY IS TO BUY THE OFFICIAL PS4 BLUETOOTH DONGLE
I HOPE ONE OF THOSE WORKS!
It’s a little usb stick that lets you use a certain controller on a console. For me i have the Xbox elite controller but started to play more on the PS4 over the last year or so. I decided to use my elite and it works great just plug and play. Only issue is an update from Sony could break the compatibility. It rarely happens but it happened this time. The company is usually pretty quick about updating the software for the converter.
If you want to take a look
I use one of these:
BEBONCOOL PS4 Slim HUB High Speed Charger Controller Splitter Expansion Adapter (Only for PS4 Slim) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XMQ79WC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
That one’s the right size for the Slim but I think they do them for Pro as well. It matches the profile of the front of the PS4 and gives you 3x USB2 and 1x USB3
This is great for charging my DS4s and headphones but only having a single USB3 means I need to swap the cable for PSVR and the dongle for my headphones, as they only operate properly on the USB3 port.
The best solution, technically, would be a powered USB3 hub, but I was trying to reduce cabling and clutter in my cabinet.
Same as /u/Lokisfather, I too use my elite controller on my PS4.
https://smile.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48/
Not that I'm advertising, but just letting you know what I use, and it works pretty seamless with Destiny. I love having the same feel of controller in my hand, with the paddles... for both consoles.
She's on the right path ... I can't wear traditional gaming headsets either (though not due to glasses), so I go with the earbud method as well. And yeah - the headset earbud that comes with the PS4 is fucking atrocious. I play a couple different shooters online (and D3), and this is what I run with (coming from the background of a music junkie).
SkullCandy Smokin' Buds 2 ... they are discontinued, replaced by the Strum. That's a quality set of ear buds for <$50.
The issue I ran into, though, is the fact that the mic is now always on. That's a pain in the ass in a shooter, especially in something like The Division (or when your wife likes to talk to you while gaming, as mine does). So, I found these ... they are surprisingly lightweight, and don't throw the balance of my controllers off at all. It has a mic mute switch and volume control built into the adapter. I quickly found it was easy to flip the mic off and on with my thumb, without any gameplay interruptions.
Good luck!
Awesome to know. I'm looking at one right now on Amazon, and had to check the product description to find what you said was true. Before I pull the trigger on it, can you confirm this is the right one??
Thanks a ton! Gam3Gear Brook Xbox One to PS4 Super Converter Gaming Adapter with Gam3Gear Keychain https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GDVGQ48/
Yeah I have GP for PC too and you're right it is incredible.
I'm really looking forwards to MS Flightsim 2020. It looks amazing.
PS Now is supposed to be going onto MS Azure at some point.
At that point they may get it to work at 1080P with little to no input lag across to board for most/many users.
It would be a great service for PC users at that point.
One of these will make your DS4 work perfectly with PS Now via PC:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-PlayStation-DualShock-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KHFIO82
I bought one before I got the PS4.
We're probably a year or so away from PS Now being a perfect product for PC streaming with the USB dongle above. Or however long it takes for PS Now to get setup to run with MS Azure.
Yes! The Brook super converter has always worked for me. You just need to be sure to keep the firmware on it up to date or it will randomly disconnect. They're pretty good at keeping up with the PS4s updates.
ok i so called turtle beach. They are super helpful. It was the talk back cable. I needed to use this one instead of the one made for the 360. https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-PlayStation-Talkback-Windscreen/dp/B00HRKF0PG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500913885&sr=8-1&keywords=ps4+talkback+cable ... everything should work now. thanks for your help
Hello again. I just tried to get something working and had no luck, over Bluetooth or USB OTG, with ePSXe (PlayStation 1) or PPSSPP (PSP). I think it might be a combination of changes in new versions of Android and alterations made by OnePlus in OxygenOS. Sixaxis Controller may work on the 3T, but it does require root access and hasn't been confirmed to work beyond Android Marshmallow to my knowledge.
As for PC, I can get it working nicely over USB and Bluetooth on Linux (using ds4drv). On Windows, however, Bluetooth disconnects after a few seconds. Ubisoft's Steep has DS4 support, but DS4Windows can be used for games that only have Xbox controller support. I'm thinking about getting the official Sony USB Bluetooth adaptor. It can be bought for £20 in some places, which still isn't cheap, but it should be guaranteed to work on Windows and macOS.
You can use the standard DS4 you got for your PS4 for your Steam gaming by attaching it via a USB cable.
To make the DS4 work wireless on the PC or Mac for something like Steam or Remote Play, you can get something like the Sony Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller Starter Kit which includes a DS4 and the USB Wireless BlueTooth transmitter or you can get just the Sony Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter sold separately.
Note: I have also come across references of making generic USB BlueTooth Adapters work, but it is more complicated to get them synced with your DS4 and get them working. Those solutions also tend to require some 3rd party software which basically detect your DS4 like an Xbox 360 controller so the game shows Xbox button prompts instead of DS4 button prompts.
If your looKing for a wireless option I would recommend picking up a Sony Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter. Works great on my Windows 10 computer.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01KWLKKQU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1/142-2006018-4700165?ie=UTF8&qid=1502290089&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=dualshock+4+pc+adapter&dpPl=1&dpID=21rkflHqKoL&ref=plSrch
Edit: Make sure you have the latest version of DS4Windows installed and you should be good to go.
I'd say you have a few options.
While more pricey I have read that both the range and reliability of the signal are head and shoulders above a generic bluetooth adapter.
Best of luck!
P.S. I missed this when reading your post, but /u/Jamaicancoconut is correct. Dualshock 4 works directly with RL without the need for DS4Windwos/Input Mapper/360CE/etc.
I know nothing about your particular muscular issues, so this may be of no help in your case, but the paddles on the Xbox Elite controller are much more ergonomically accessible than those on the SCUF in general:
https://cdn.geekwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Xbox-One-Paddles-620x412.jpg
I use an Xbox Elite controller on the PS4 myself simply because as someone who plays games on both platforms I prefer it to the DS4. I use it via this adapter, which works great:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDVGQ48
Admittedly, having to pay about $200 for a solution ($150 for the Elite controller, $50 for the adapter) is not ideal and I do support Bungie just adding auto-sprint as an option to the game, just throwing the information about the Elite paddles out there as a possible option if they do drop the ball on this.
first of all buy this.
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1500052648&sr=1-3&keywords=sony%2Bplaystation%2B4%2Badapter&th=1
then use a program like "INPUT MAPPER" or "DS4 WINDOWS" to have the ps4 controller emulate an xbox 360 controller so all games that support 360 controller(dogma online does) will work with the PS4 as well. And also be able to completely customize the PS4 controller like switching buttons, change analog sensitivity settings, enabled trackpad for mouse or other custom feature, turn buttons into macros or use trackpad swipe functions as macros or custom button presses and map key and mouse commands to the controller.
I personally use PS4 controller to play dogma online on PC. and im using input mapper.
one of these guys? https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU
Best Buy was selling them for $40 WITH a PS4 controller a while back, good luck.
I bought a small Bluetooth dongle and paired my DS3 and DS4 to it so I could play PC games with my controllers wirelessly. The DS4 Wireless Adaptor (link below) appears to do the same thing but without you needing to reformat the firmware and drivers of the dongle like I had to do. If you want to play PC games with your DS4 wirelessly then go for it.
Of note, you can still play with a USB cable connecting the PC and DS4 if that works for your purposes.
https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU
Note: I use PC to represent personal computer, regardless of the OS you choose to use.
No idea, but for my Xbox 360 Turtle Beach X12s, I just bought this cable. It works great and saved me the $100 I was about to throw down on an actual PS4 headset.

YEP!
Here's the link if you want to read more about it: LINK
Here is the amazon link: LINK
If you decide to buy it, make sure you update the firmware on the converter since they have said it will d/c after about 10min if you don't. I've never had any issues.
Hope you find what you're looking for!
IIRC, there were certain brands that would work better with the DS4/DS3.
Like this one worked perfectly for me until my ps4 controller died
But now you can just get one of these from Sony themselves
As others stated, there is no peripheral that is cross platform compatible. However, the trick is to buy a xbox compatible(usually a proprietary chip) and then 'convert' that to work with ps4. I haven't used it, but a quick search comes up with a Gam3Gear Brook Xbox One to PS4 Super Converter. It lists racing wheels and has a good review score.
Gam3Gear Brook Xbox One to PS4 Super Converter Gaming Adapter with Gam3Gear Keychain https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dK-WAbYX25K7N
This is the one I’ve been using for a little over a year with zero issues. As long as you don’t mind a hot pink dongle...
If you have a PS4 Pro, it will only fit in the rear USB port. Sony made the front ports harder to reach, so it doesn’t fit them anymore.
If for whatever reason the perfectly viable method above isn't working or you prefer official methods, Sony sells their own adapter specifically for PC despite the controller being able to work with a simple bluetooth adapter... Here is a link to it if you want it.
Edit: aaand even the "official" adapter apparently doesn't natively work with just any game. You are better off with a bluetooth adapter and the software posted above.
I’m pretty sure you need a special dongle for connecting it via Bluetooth even if your PC has Bluetooth capabilities. This is the adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU
I have this. Plug and play! It’s the best thing because you use an actual XBOX CONTROLLER!
https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1538888826&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=brook+adapter+xbox+one+to+ps4&dpPl=1&dpID=41Fo2DpmxiL&ref=plSrch
This is late but if your DS4 is getting really bad with the battery, it's fairly easy to replace them. Much easier than older model controllers, I believe it's like 6-8 screws, you pop it open, unplug battery, replug new one, and it's good to go. Runs about 10 bucks on Amazon
The Xbox Elite controller once you can retrain your brain to use the paddles is a game changer.especially in shooters where the trigger locks can literally make you faster than the other guy.

heres a super buget elite controller 30$ for 2 paddles, trigger locks and customizable thum sticks.https://www.amazon.com/PowerA-Fusion-Controller-Xbox-One-Black/dp/B01KMAYANU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541702281&sr=8-1&keywords=xbox+fusion+controller

also never buy the scuff your paying a almost 50$ more than the reg elite for something that has way less versatility.on the scuff theres no custom presets for the paddles like the elite and fusion and if it breaks no warranty.even Ps4 users should look at the adapter for xbox to ps4 just for a cheaper and better paddle option https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1541702456&sr=8-3&keywords=xbox+controller+to+ps4+adapter
Yep. Order something like this, and spend ten minutes unscrewing the controller. Doing that will be easy because it uses standard Philips screws instead of proprietary screws.
Swap out the PS4 Controller's 1000mAH stock battery for the replacement 2000mAH battery and without doing anything else, you've just about doubled your battery life. Disconnecting the Lightbar LED basically doubles it again. Do both, and you've multiplied your effective power time by 4.
Hey bud, I felt the same way after using the Dual Shock 4 myself. I found these work great and give the controller a tad bit of width. The rear grip makes finger placement easy and personally I have zero hand cramps when they are on.
https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Skidproof-Dualshock-Controller-PlayStation-4/dp/B01N91PO9U/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_icp_0_38?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01N91PO9U&pd_rd_r=ZSGS6DBM55FPVT8F0HHC&pd_rd_w=Vk7Wn&pd_rd_wg=geoXL&pf_rd_i=desktop-rhf&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3314166702&pf_rd_r=ZSGS6DBM55FPVT8F0HHC&pf_rd_s=desktop-rhf&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=ZSGS6DBM55FPVT8F0HHC
Second option was getting the Xbox One controller to work on PS4. I had purchased the the TitanOne but the PS4 has some kind of check system and the device would hiccup every 7 to 10 mins. It became a real pain in the ass having to hook up extra stuff in order to get it to work.
A new device came out called Gam3Gear Brook Design. This usb adapter works like the TitanOne but with zero issues! Check this out...
https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1509864806&sr=1-3&keywords=brook+super+converter

Hope this helps! Good luck.
That would definitely affect my play.(although I think that the Dpads are a bit different as well)
In my experience ps controller are convex on top as opposed to the concave joysticks which your thumb kinda fits into on the xb controllers.
There is a company called mayflash which makes adapters for playing with controllers from different consoles.
Edit:
Here’s one
Gam3Gear Brook Xbox One Controller to PS4 Console Super Converter Gaming Adapter with Keychain https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nyZ3Cb883AKCR
It’s a bit pricy and only works wired, but might be worth it for you. There are also probably other options
Nobody's mentioned this but Sony started selling a dedicated dongle for the DS4 that has full feature support, including the headset audio. It's definitely the way to go. No muss, no fuss.

I can't speak to your crash issues, but I found that the only way I could get my DS4 working was to purchase this:

Seriously, it works PERFECT.

Might I recommend something like this? It does require a wired connection, but at least you'd be using a controller you like.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gam3Gear-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1499793078&sr=8-2&keywords=brook+adapter
Plug and play. Only downside is you're always wired and you can't turn the console on with the controller. Honestly though, I'd stick with the PS4 Controller... I got used to it eventually. Some Kontrol Freeks CQC might help.
You do not need the chat adapter. Chat cable will go straight from the headset to the controller.
Edit: You will have to go into the menu to adjust chat volume though. But, this cable fixes that. I turn the chat volume full blast in the console menu then you can control the chat volume with this chat cable. It works great with the A50 even though its a turtle beach product.

It was released yesterday in the EU, it is going to be [released in a few days in the US](https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Entertainment-DUALSHOCK-4 USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/). I've got one, but so far it's pretty useless because there aren't any games who support the adaptor yet.
I've been using Sony's DualShock 4 Wireless USB Adapter.
I purchased the DS4+Dongle bundle at Best Buy, it's on sale a few times throughout the year for $39.99. However, it's currently $69.99.
Of course.
One of those is connected the regular way under Ubuntu(the first 2 minutes of this video show how exactly), that's the one used for the PCSX2.
The other one is connected through a DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor by passing the entire device to a Windows VM running USFIV (I think using only a bluetooth dongle in the same way would work as well, but I honestly won't bet on Windows management of bluetooth devices).
Update for you, if you want to shell out the 40 dollars https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDVGQ48/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and get that, it works fantastic, every button works and no re-wiring, like KeytarsRus said!
Yes sir indeed. You’ll just need to pop in to settings and enable pro controller usb (or something like that. )
Link for convenience

Edit: Almost forgot! You can even go wireless with a DS4/3
Well if you don't have a dongle and the cable not connected, how would the controller transmit the data to your pc then? ;)
This is what you'll need to play wirelessly with your Dualshock 4 on PC:
https://www.amazon.de/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KHFIO82
You have two options. One is the official dongle sold by Sony. The other is a third-party that has been received well in the market. The free alternative is to use this software to configure your Dualshock 4.
Certain games on steam recognize my controller as a DS4 with proper button icons, but most don't. Like the other person said, DS4Windows works well. I couldn't find anything for mac, but this seems to be supported
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_2/131-9100903-3014457?ie=UTF8&qid=1518636887&sr=8-2&keywords=sony%2Bplaystation%2B4%2Bdualshock%2Busb%2Bwireless%2Badaptor&th=1
You could do what I do and use a Dualshock 4 Wireless Adapter. That way you can use your controller wirelessly.
Also, my friend has used his PS4 controller wired almost daily, and his mUSB port is completely fine. Don't cheap out on controllers.
yep, you can do it two different ways. easiest is to directly plug it into the pc or you can use a bluetooth dongle if you want to retain the wireless function (i'll link below). after you have it connected (give it a few sec as it may need to do some auto install thing to work properly), open steam and in the top right corner you'll see a controller. click that and it should open "big picture mode" which will basically turn your computer into a console. from there you can select the game you want to play from your library, buy new ones, search the web, etc.
Sonys official dongle (only one dongle per controller, but will retain audio connection)
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488314023&sr=8-1&keywords=ps4+bluetooth+dongle
universal donge (will connect multiple controllers, but will not retain audio through the controller)
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Adapter-Costech-Compatible-computers/dp/B01BQO3QZO/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1488314023&sr=8-6&keywords=ps4%2Bbluetooth%2Bdongle&th=1
For DS4 there's only one. Buy from wherever has the best price.
PS4 wireless controller works perfectly in all games for me since I bought this:
Sony DualShock 4 Wireless Adaptor

Just got it at Best Buy this morning
changing the battery is pretty easy, just have to remove the screws in the back and change it out.
https://www.amazon.com/Playstation-2000mAH-Replacement-Battery-Controller-4/dp/B00JFQ045Q
I’d imagine one of these. I think it requires a DS4 to spoof the connection so the PS4 believes a DualShock is connected. I have one from the same brand that lets me use ps3 controllers wirelessly on my ps2 and it works great.
Yep. I just learned about it myself a few weeks ago. Reviews seem good
https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Controller-Keychain/dp/B01HRRMAII/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?crid=2GFV6IAIZQJVK&keywords=xbox+controller+ps4+adapter&qid=1556091226&s=gateway&sprefix=xbox+controller+ps4&sr=8-6
I fucked around with DS4 for a while until I found out there’s a sony wireless adapter for pc. It’s a bit expensive but it works like a charm.
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DUALSHOCK-USB-Wireless-Adapter-4/dp/B01KHFIO82/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=ps4+bluetooth+adapter&qid=1573232802&sr=8-6
It's something like this you need. https://www.amazon.co.uk/REYTID-3-5mm-Headset-Splitter-Adapter-Black/dp/B019IY5AHQ
or something like this https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Electronics-External-Sound-Cards/zgbs/electronics/3015427011
Is this it? I've seen those at Walmart before but I always thought they were just for the actual consoles haha.
You can do this now on the PS4 with an adapter like the brook. I’m sure there will be something similar for the PS5 eventually.
Well with Paragon it works natively. I can't say that I've tried it out with many non-steam games, but so far it's worked fine with Steam. You can remap it and do whatever you want with it (haven't personally done that yet). If you want you can even get a wireless adapter for the DS4, that way you don've have to stay plugged in.
Sony DS4 adapter.
I have the DS4 kit that came with the controller and their Bluetooth adapter and it works good. We play from across the room, with drunkards in the middle and it still works well.
I tried the regular Bluetooth adapters, they are okay if really close, but not across the room.
Watch /r/buildapcsales the adapter and the kit goes on sale every now and then
There is an official adapter for this now.
https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479682561&sr=8-1&keywords=playstation+4+pc+adapter
It mentions playing games that are streamed but it works for other games too, like Rocket League.
Sorry if this seems rude but im not trying to be... Have you tried to get the official controller? they sell a usb adapter for ps4 controllers now like the ones for xbox controllers

There's a device for ps4 that lets you use Xbox one controllers on ps4. It's about $40 on Amazon right now. I use it, too. I've not tried it with the adaptive controller specifically, but it works with my Ben Heck custom modded controller, and the adaptive controller is supposed to function just like a standard controller, so out should work. You can get it here: https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=xbox+one+to+ps4+controller+converter&qid=1569282630&sprefix=Xbox+one+to&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A263LSCPZJCHO0&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEySU83QjJSS1RHMldWJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTEwNzY2MjRPVkdFREcxRlYxQiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjI4MzgwMzM2WVVBSTNWSkg0SSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
The DS4 v2 alone retails for $59.99, but is currently on Amazon for $39.00 via Prime.. The USB adapter goes for $22 on Amazon, and is also included...technically a freebie in this deal.
The easiest way is buy the official Sony PS4 to PC adapter, but right now it's silly expensive. Here.
As for getting it to work how it worked previously, I can't recommend much because I don't know what you changed since it worked last. I would suggest getting rid of programs you installed recently that allow manipulation of the ps4 controller and start from scratch. Steam should be smart enough to pick it up and configure it rumble included if the controller is wired under normal circumstances.
Any luck finding these somewhere?
https://www.amazon.de/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KHFIO82/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=CNQ5NP2V2W9M&keywords=ps4+bluetooth+adapter&qid=1555710958&s=gateway&sprefix=Ps4+blue&sr=8-7
Sony make a wireless PS4 controller dongle.
That said PS4 controller support on PC is still pretty damn iffy.
I'll suggest going with the DS4 if you prefer the Sony controller layout if you prefer the Xbox one, go with that instead.
If you go the DS4 route you can get one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU
I use it on my machine and it works really well (both are available from datablitz).
As for recommended stores, iTech, Gameone and DB are the goto recommendations.
You're welcome! I'm just glad to help.
The BAHA is on my left (worst) side, and it does actually stimulate the cochlear a little on that side - which was a surprise - but the main benefit comes from the audio that's transferred over to the right.
I use an Oticon Medical Streamer instead of headphones, but your options will depend on the sound processor (HA) you choose. The Oticon streamer can connect to one device via bluetooth (it's permanently connected to my smartphone) and I use a 4-pole cable to connect it to other devices (TV, PC, tablet, etc.). I even plug it into my guitar amp.
I'm in the UK so I'm afraid I can't help with the insurance question. The NHS provided by Ponto 3 SP. I feel a little guilty when I read about the difficulty people overseas have accessing hearing aids due to the cost.
If you still have the Xbox Elite controller you can buy one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48
I’ve had a PS4 Scuf and now use this setup on PS4 and the elite is way better than a scuf.
Yeah, you need to purchase a bluetooth adapter. Sony sells one which you can purchase on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KWLKKQU
this one is nicer (and less lag): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075445R7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_PHtCDbVFYY4T4
Yeah they sadly don't sell the cables themselves. While I can't verify these are compatible, some folks are selling cables on Amazon (1, 2). Might have to take a leap of faith.
Personally, I prefer the Ps4 controller to the Xbox One, but that's just me.
Anyway, after doing some googling, I found this. I think that it allows you to play on the PS4 using the Xbox one controller, but I'm not completely sure on how it works. If you want to, though, I'd say look into it.
I think there's also a Xbox one styled PS4 controller out there somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.
You can buy it now

If the USB is damaged, you need to get the following:
This charger uses the AUX port (instead of the USB port) at the bottom of the controller to charge.
https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-Controller-Charging-Station-PlayStation-4/dp/B00ENFVJJO?th=1
This is the official Sony DS4 wireless adaptor. You can get cheaper BT usb adapters, but this is going to be the easiest.
https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU
If you have a controller with a headset port already, this isn't going to help you at all; they both do pretty much the same thing and the port is exactly the same.
You need a talkback cable.

The only way to avoid a controller is to pick up a PS4 Dongle which is like 10 bucks. But for the most part, I strictly use my F500 for PC only. Decided to grab a HORI pro 4 to play on consoles. The dongles plug into the controller slot and SHOULD work properly. I haven't tried this yet tbh
Edit this should work

Apparently it's no longer available so it looks like they are expensive... I would not recommend spending $40 on it... I think MSRP was 15ish when I bought it at Best Buy. You should be able to use a bluetooth adapter if your PC does not have it built in.
Again, here's what I use but I wouldn't buy it for this much.
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DualShock-4-Wireless-Adaptor-playstation/dp/B01KWLKKQU?th=1
For wired, it has to be the Xbox 360 to PS4 converter or Xbox 360/Xbox One to PS4, both of them are green.

Be sure to read reviews and do some research on these things before buying one. I almost pre-ordered one before realizing I didn't need one after all.

I just Googled "Xbox one to PS4 adapter" and can make no promises about this. There were other results as well, so I would suggest doing your own research.
Razer Atrox(https://www.razerzone.com/gaming-controllers/razer-atrox-xbox-one) $200
Very simple to customize btw
Or
Hori RAP V. Kai(https://www.amazon.com/HORI-Arcade-Pro-V-Fighting-Stick-Windows/dp/B0136JP894) $150
A simple way to make these work on PS4 is using a X1 to PS4 converters.
Like the Brook converters for (https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-PS4-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48) $43.90
Pro Tip: Get a Octagonal Restrictor Plate (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004AU0H4U/ref=pd_aw_fbt_63_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3TFQJ8N725SNJZ5THP1J) $6.54
It seems like if you connect via Bluetooth you'll be able to. Also if your computer doesn't have Bluetooth, Sony does still a dongle to connect your controller. You can find it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.gxQyb6Y82CHV
Sony actaully makes a dongle specifically for that: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KWLKKQU/
If I remember right, it only supports 1 controller at a time though.
Not actually true. They do support and even have a Bluetooth dongle for it now.
https://www.amazon.ca/Sony-DUALSHOCK-USB-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B01KHFIO82/ref=sr_1_1/136-2357342-5312112?ie=UTF8&qid=1549901496&sr=8-1&keywords=dualshock+4+usb+wireless+adapter
There is this one sold by Sony there are some cheaper if you look around as well
Sony Bluetooth link
Works well enough for me. My computer is old though.
If you can't find earbuds like that, you could buy something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7HFX3J
With that you have volume control and a mute button for any headphones.
Has anyone tried replacing the 800mA controller battery with another Sony 2000mA battery? I found one on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-2000mAH-Replacement-Battery-Controller-4/dp/B00JFQ045Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1407795733&sr=1-2&keywords=ps4+controller+battery
PlayStation specifically has a usb Bluetooth connector for the DualShock 4. It looks like a little flash drive. For XBOX, I’m not entirely sure.
Its on the pricey end of the options
You talking about this?
That is the only official Sony adapter I can find, it is no were near the same size as most adapters, most are much better than the usb connector.
From what I have seen, it is also said to be at end of life, so hard to find new were I live and the cheapest new is 65+ delivery.
So if I was to buy it new, it would be much much bigger(the thing is fucking huge) than an all purpose and much more expensive.
If this isn't the one you are talking about can you link me to the official one you are talking about because as far as I can see, this is the only official one.
Here is a link to SCUF Vantage Wireless PS4 controllers exclusively at GameStop. However, they are quite expensive- about $200 https://www.gamestop.com/ps4/accessories/scuf-vantage-wireless-controller-only-at-gamestop/162370
Or you can get an adapter on amazon for $40 https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48
I don't know why it's pink but here's the fine print on using Xbox one controllers:
> WARNING
It doesn’t support Xbox one wireless but you can use the charge cable to connect with the controller and console to enable it works.
You don't really need a ds4 if you want to use it on the PS4. I play on PC, but when I head out to tournaments I just use this adapter
If you're fine with a wired option then the same company makes a wired XB1 to PS4 converter. I've used it myself for shooters and haven't had any issues with it.
Do you have a source for that? Because Valve seems to get by fine with the Steam Controller. I think this is probably the actual reason, not Microsoft.
I am not sure about pairing it via bluetooth but I do use a cable USB and it recognizes it without any problem, I just need to set up the gamepad type in FFXIV's settings and I'm ready to go, no need for third party software.
Maybe I'm mistaken but I think you may need to buy the official Sony USB wireless adaptor for $21.49.
https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-4-USB-Wireless-Adaptor/dp/B01KWLKKQU/
However, I think I heard you actually could connect it via bluetooth without it and make it work, again, not sure.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KHFIO82/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_P25wCbPX4ZD4R?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app that’s it on amazon
It's available on the US Amazon store:
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-DUALSHOCK-USB-Wireless-Adapter-4/dp/B01KHFIO82/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=ps4+bluetooth+adapter&qid=1555746612&s=gateway&sr=8-3
Sure.
You got some choices.
I run a Nvidia card at home (970 gtx) I do not know the answers to AMD flavors... in fact, what I am about to throw at you might not be possible under AMD (I don't know).
Enable streaming through GeForce Experience. Then, create a VPN between your router and your laptop (or possibly the PC and laptop) and run software called 'MoonLight'.
Done and done.
(so you can follow along, a VPN extends your home network - placing your laptop on the same network as your PC! this is important as GeForce experience won't stream remotely)
However, this sucks balls. It requires a couple hours of configuration and you are kind of in the hospital.
Fuck that running.

Sorry to say but they cost half of that last year, use why they would go up in price.
I'll always be bringing my ps4/monitor with extra controllers to meetups, so feel free to use one of those whenever I'm around. If you would rather use an xbox controller on ps4, Brook converters are a solid option. There are other xbox players, and we were talking about maybe all chipping in to buy a converter for community use during meetups/tournaments.

I bought this to connect my TB X32 headset from my Xbox 360 days to my Xbox One controller.
Turtle Beach Ear Force Playstation 4 Talkback Cable with Foam Windscreen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HRKF0PG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_nGn9Bb52H52XP
(I know it’s a PS4 cable but it was the best quality option I could find for connecting a 2.5mm headset to a 3.5mm controller)
I get no complaints from friends/randos online
You could buy a wired headset audio controller from amazon and plug it into the headset port of your y splitter. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about checkout this linkHeadset Audio Controller
You can actually just use the Xbox Elite controller directly on the PS4 using an adapter like this:
https://amazon.com/Gam3Gear-PS4-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48
There are other options like the ChronusMax, but the Brooks one is the one I use (can vouch for it, unlike the others) and it works really well, no noticeable lag. The only semi-complaints I have about it are that the Xbox One has no touchpad so you're boned for any game that requires that (though it does emulate a generic touchpad press if you press the 'select' button on the xbox, so for games like Destiny that use the touchpad as one big button it is fine) and also you have to use it wired via USB.
Would buy a real Sony pro controller if they made one of similar quality, just to get that 100% compatibility and wireless functionality...
No.
However, you can use one of these adapters (make sure you update the adapter's firmware first): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075445R7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_PHtCDbVFYY4T4
1st try the different premade configurations in the configuration tool, for some reason it’s REALLY funky but some work and some won't even after adjusting the settings.
If that doesn't work try this:
Sony DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KWLKKQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_R5ehzb5C14DPH
It's an adapter made by sony specifically for Dualshock 4 controllers to connect to PC, no emulation software needed.
Here's the controller/adapter kit for those interested:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-dualshock-4-wireless-controller-starter-kit-for-playstation-4-black/5623686.p?skuId=5623686
I bought a 15 ft USB cable...worth every penny.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GXMDCUY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LNpNzb8QDEWZP
You'll need this and this and this and this.
Or you could buy an X12 headset.
It's probably your adapter. Just buy this.
As an alternative to modding cables (easy and inexpensive), for any Turtle Beach headset that has the 2.5 mm mini jack connector (like the PX5's), you can pick up an adapter and cable instead of modding.
Not to mention, 1 more usb port for shifter.
But there are hubs you can put on the front of the ps4

This may be what you’re looking for: https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Brook-Converter-Gaming-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B01GDVGQ48
There are adapters that can will let you use XB1 controllers on PS4 but I don't know if the guitar controllers would be compatible

You can just use the charging cable, which is a usb/ micro usb cable. Or you can buy this.
Just spend the extra $5 and buy the official adapter
Ps4
Xbox one
360
Don't know about a Bluetooth dongle that would work. You can also use a USB cable to use your ps4 controller on pc
