I'll go ahead and give you examples of those items that I enjoy:

Jeans) Many options to choose from, but I really like my American Eagle slims, although there are tons of decent quality and affordable jeans out there (Levi's, Hollister, Gap, Old Navy, etc.). Don't get hung up on the fit designations, instead try on many different fits and see what works best for your legs. I think most people here would say that pants should follow the contours of your thighs without being tight (I like to make sure I can grab at least a little fabric behind my thighs, otherwise the fit might be too tight). As for your lower legs I think that there should be at least a little bit of a taper, definitely avoid anything with a wide leg opening.

Tees) Next Level tees are awesome. As a tip, it seems that tees made from cotton/polyester blends tend to fit better than straight cotton, and cotton/polyester/elastane tees can be very nice as well. You can sometimes identify these shirts if "stretch" is in the item title.

Sneakers) You simply cannot go wrong with Vans. A minimal sneaker that looks good with so many pants, be them shorts or jeans. Be aware that Vans are not the best shoes to walk long distances in, so you should also have a stylish athletic shoe in your wardrobe. I'd recommend something like Nike Lunarglide 8s or Zoom Vomero 12s since they look fairly fashionable but offer great cushion and support. For a kind of hybrid between running shoe and purely casual shoe, something like Nike Roshes can be nice.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other specific questions!

Mischief Managed!

So I decided to order my school supplies from a "reputable" magical supply store. I can not believe what happened. So you order by answering riddles and I thought that would ensure that everyone's orders are correct, I guess not....

Riddle the First-Wine or Wine Goblet

Either way, I wonder if this is even considered to be appropriate [drink wear] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004HZR94O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=25MSIGOHKX8AU&coliid=I1GX53XQYP0JML&psc=1) in the Great Hall of the RAOA school of magic, merriment and Mischief.

Riddle the Second- Broom

I don't know what they were thinking, I asked for a Firebolt, I will never be able to fly with these. I thought maybe they were just tiny for shipping purposes, but I've tried to use Engorgio to make them bigger, but nothing happens.

Riddle the Third- Hat

I swear I ordered a standard witch's hat. I am not sure how they heard wicker hat.

Riddle the Fourth- Book

They told me that this is one of the most important books of knowledge of our times and I wouldn't be able to pass my muggle studies with out it

Riddle the Fifth- Trunk

I don't even know what to say about this. How am I suppose to get all my supplies/clothes to school in these? I mean sure if I was a guy I am sure they would be pretty comfortable. Note to self, next time use the word Luggage Trunk.

Bonus Riddle- Cape

And last but not least, I just wanted a simple black cape. It's black alright, but unless I am going to be giving haircuts in my common room, I have no idea what to do with this.

That is the last time I order anything from Mundungus Fletcher's Magic Emporium.

u/raven67 · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

When I first joined this sub, I saw so much about them, I placed an order. I sent most of the order back.

  • Supima cotton v-neck tshirts: Seams down the side of the shirt. I'm used to Jcrew washed cotton. These were no where near Jcrew quality. Returned them.
  • Seamless boxer briefs: while they are cheap, the fabric is cheap. They fit weird. The tops roll down, and they make my junk look all weird and embarrassing. I did keep a pair because they were teal and my SO liked the color but said they smelled like melted plastic (that smell has mostly washed out).
  • Pile mesh short socks: I like these! I'm going to order more.
  • OCBD was ill fitted for me. I have a 16 neck, but 32 sleeve.

Customer service was great. I'll probably try them again soon on something else, who knows. It's definitely frugal wear. I'd say if you're used to something like Brooks Brothers, or JCrew, you might not like the quality.
u/Begonewithye · 3 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I feel like it's not well known enough how fantastic Next Level Apparel plain T's are. So soft, cheap, awesome fit, especially if you're in ok to good shape. Check them out on Amazon.

u/justashade · 1 pointr/genderqueer

I wear trunks they have like 2 inch inseam? just short enough to fit under most short shorts. Briefs are also an option.

I have these. They are nylon and CK brand so a bit pricey but sometimes they go for $12-15 on amazon, I have found them for $8 at Marshalls. They are incredibly soft and feel amazing. Even wearing skintight leggings nothing shows up. but that might be a case by case basis since my junk is not that big in the first place. Well I feel like those undies pouch area prevents any bits from being outlined.

I always recommend checking out Calvin Klein, although they are definitely more pricey. My personal favorite are their Steel Micro Low Rise Trunk, but they are most definitely out of your price range. Honestly, the underwear will last you a long time. I saved up some money and just bought sets of 4 of black, gray, white, dark blue. It's enough to hold me over for almost 2 weeks without doing laundry.

Keep in mind their trunks, and not boxer briefs, so they are technically smaller. CK makes actual boxer briefs though, just look around.

For the record, I'm 6'4", ~185 lbs, 32-34 waist.

u/StabilizeAndVaporize · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

"No cotton as it gets too hot" seems interesting. UnderArmor-type wicking materials made of synthetics (or natural alternatives like merino wool, linen, or ramie) tend to keep you cooler until you start sweating. But once you're sweating, you actually stay coolest by letting the sweat stick around for a bit before evaporating; thus, cotton is actually pretty good at that (if you're okay with sweat showing obviously).

Either way, here's a couple recommendations of cheap V-necks I like and wear with a variety of fabric compositions:

u/soccercrzy · 2 pointsr/frugalmalefashion

Maybe a mod can answer that question? I don't think I did anything against the rules here... Here's what's showing for me / what I originally posted:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00317CDVI
Most colors and sizes still available. Lowest price ever according to CamelCamelCamel. Normally the sweet spot for these is around $13-15. By far the best, most comfortable underwear I've owned.
To make the deal even sweeter, I'm getting 6% cashback via TopCashBack and I chose slow shipping for 6 separate orders so I'm getting 6x $10 off PrimeNow orders. If I use those in a productive fashion, I've essentially gotten the underwear for free.
Edit: This just hit the frontpage of slickdeals.net, so if you're on the fence, buy now and return later. It will definitely sell out soon.

u/ThatMexicanMan · 1 pointr/electricdaisycarnival

I was looking at some of those as well and decided to order a pair, I didn’t get that exact pair but the ones I got are fairly decent. The hidden pocket is an actual zipper and is decently big and stretchy as well as comfortable. The pocket is big enough to fit my IPhone X although I’m sure that’s because it’s just stretchy. Speakeasy Briefs, Men's Stash Underwear with a Secret Front Pocket, Medium, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M28VJFI?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

u/ShamrockShart · 6 pointsr/todayilearned

A "cheap" but supportive sports bra from Marshalls costs $20.

This link for sports bras on Amazon range $9-$30. They appear to be reasonably supportive.

This one looks like a very nice daily wear type and it ranges from $13 to $58.

Even if you find a great bra for something like $10 you still have to remember that it's underwear that "has" to be worn every day. So you either end up having a ton of them (which is expensive) or wearing the same ones frequently (which means replacing it often which is expensive.)

Compare to the price of a pair of underwear. This five pack of men's underwear ranges from $15-$39. That $3-$8.50.

*I'm not responding to any more of you. Appreciate the work I did to provide reasonable price numbers or fuck off. If you think it's not fair to compare to the price of a bra to men's underwear, I repeat: fuck off. If you wear only underwear then fuck off for trying to tell me how to explain the price of bras. :)

u/putin_vor · 17 pointsr/Entrepreneur

You have the whole section about the profits, yet you don't mention any actual numbers. Which probably means you're losing money.

30,000 items at $500K revenue is $16.66 per item (which kinda matches the average on your website). Considering all your numerous expenses, I'd have to say... ouch.

Amazon is full of modal boxers/briefs of roughly the same prices, and brand names too.

I wish you luck though. I hope you make a successful brand.

u/BigPaulieEh · 1 pointr/frugalmalefashion

The alpha industries slim fit parka is great for the price. You can find them in sale occasionally for a little over $100, but I'd pay the $140 they are on Amazon and still be happy with it. I had to size down to a medium to get the fit right. Link

u/brocahantas · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I use to wear the Journey's ones and they're decent, especially for the price. Thicket fabric (like I'm looking for) but I did have trouble with them slipping off the heel.

I've been wearing these that have a little gel thing that helps them stick to your heels. They're great, cheap, BUT super thin (hence this post).

u/Kapsize · 5 pointsr/MDMA

Gooching them is always the best option (place/tape/secure them in the area below or anywhere around your privates). It's the only place you can hope to not get fully groped by security and is a grey-area for a lot of people because it's obviously not okay to just touch someone's privates. If you're super paranoid then get some of these stash boxer briefs.

u/robotic_lemur · 5 pointsr/malefashionadvice

You should check out MeUndies. They're made out of micro-modal, and are on par with Calvin Klein's at a much better price. I bought these when they were running a promo at 10 pairs for $100. Definitely worth the money, I love them. I've had them for about two months, and have had no problems with smell (althought it's never been a problem for me).

Wool is supposed to be good for underwear, although I haven't tried it out myself. Cotton is bad with smelling. Cotton socks, cotton underwear, bad idea.

At $10 a pair, I highly recommend MeUndies. I don't rep the brand and I'm not affiliated with them, but they're hella comfy. Do wait for a promo code for 10 for $100 though, because that's the good one. And be sure you don't accidentally "subscribe" to their pair/monthly service unless you want to. It's $16 a month for a new design shipped to you once monthly.

TL;DR

MeUndies

u/sleazepleeze · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

These socks on Amazon are awesome and come in 4 sizes. The fit is great on mine and they don't slip.

u/sgtshibby · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

This all day long. I swear by the CK Steel Micro Trunk. I can't stand the longer legs on other boxer briefs, and these things fit like a glove (size down), don't ever smell, and last forever. Great colors too, if you're into that sort of thing.

Just make sure you get the "Steel Micro" because they make other styles out of cotton that aren't even close to the same quality.

u/Kavusto · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

i've been quite busy these past few weeks

  • bought some chuck II's from Nordstrom for $30
  • bought some 484 jeans in Guilford wash for $60 (only have 1 pair of jeans rn)
  • bought some UB201 during the amazon prime day sale. despite the fact that i sized up from a 31 waist to a 32 waist, it was ridiculously small for me, am going to return them
  • found some shorts on the sale rack at Jcrew for $30 total. first time i've found something in store is cheaper than online
  • can't find the exact shirt, but i bought something like this from H&M for $13, goes really well with the above JCrew shorts

    on the lookout for:

  • blue shorts to complete summer look
  • selvedge jeans that actually fit me
  • parka
  • ???
u/Warpedme · 1 pointr/AskWomen

Moisture wicking, super thin boxer breifs. You can thank me later. I bought them for working out and they're pretty much my staple now.

u/kittttttens · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

unbranded are the standard cheap recommendation, you can find them on amazon. supposedly the 201s have a similar fit to 511s, although i don't have a pair myself.

naked & famous are nice if you care about made in canada and are willing to spend a bit more, they also have a bigger variety of fabrics/cuts.

Cool, what are your favourite games right now? The last PC game I was really into was Diablo 3, but I must’ve spent 200 hours on my file of Zelda Breath of the Wild on my Switch.

Haha I could write an essay on the pros of raw denim. They are usually higher quality than denim you can buy off the rack. I think the biggest thing for me is that they serve as a blank canvas. Instead of buying pre-distressed denim, you get it in its raw, unadulterated form, and you get to wear and fade it in such a way that reflects your lifestyle. Instead of buying this:

https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/clothing/men/jeans/c/levi_clothing_men_jeans/facets/feature-distress/distressed

Why not buy this:

I recommend the [Hanes Men's Classics Lightweight Slim Fit](
http://www.amazon.com/Hanes-Classics-Lightweight-V-Neck-T-Shirt/dp/B00A7QUD72/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1406308294&sr=8-6&keywords=hanes+mens+classic+slim+fit). I wear shirts size Large but size down to mediums on these and they are long enough. Check the reviews first, of course, but I love them.

u/crafty35a · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

Do the SocklessLook's only go up to shoe size 11? Bummer.

I've been happy with these, which are extremely popular and well reviewed on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MWOETN6/

u/rastacola · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I have worn those Hanes boxer briefs for a few years. If you rotate between a few pair they should last you well over a year. I actually purchased 10 pair from Amazon a couple months back and I love them. I have tried a few other pairs other the years like Under Armor, Puma, Adidas ect but none feel as comfortable and fit my body as well.

A note on riding up ..I only have that issue with old underwear or if I try to throw jeans on after wearing them all day and sleeping in them. I imagine if I wore skinny jeans I would have a bigger issue with that.

My favorite, Calvin Klein Trunks:

I switched from boxer briefs to trunks, am happy with the conversion.

u/YesImMexican · 5 pointsr/Sneakers

Normally myself and other people wear socks like this. I have some nautica pairs that are padded and have a gel strip so they don't slip. Makes it look like you don't have socks on but you do. Hope this helps!

u/DelayedArtisticGuppy · 7 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I just use these. There are better options like wool, but they are more expensive.

This guide will probably do a better job of explaining it than I can.

u/azathothPatrol · 2 pointsr/findfashion

It looks like a field jacket I have a similar one actually.

Most field jackets are based off of the Vietnam era M-65 so just google m-65 field jacket. If I remember they tend to be a bit pricey though.

Here’s an example:
https://www.amazon.com/Alpha-Industries-Field-Black-X-Small/dp/B000UJDPL2/ref=asc_df_B000UJ8HSI/?

Edit: if you’re big on thrifting you can try your luck at army surplus stores they may have field jackets there too!

u/horsif · 11 pointsr/frugalmalefashion

Stomper Joe's were the first I ever bought. They've worked well so far and sit very low on my heel.

Uniqlo has good no-shows. They sit a bit higher than the Stomper Joe's, but still a good buy.

This happens to expensive denim too. What kind of underwear do you wear? Might I recommend a very stretchy and thin boxer brief? Once I upgraded to these, my jeans have lasted much longer.

speakeasy briefs - They work nice for sneaking flasks and other things into the fest. But if you're someone who wears rather snug shorts, it becomes a bit uncomfortable...

+1 for ExOfficio boxer briefs. I also like wearing these Hanes boxer briefs.

That one may be out of OP's price range. Is so, there are cheaper ones with keys. I bought one like this from The Reject Shop (Aus equivalent of Poundland or similar cheapo stores) for about $10 as I had issues with someone taking my opiate medication.

If you think your mum might know all your hiding places, you can buy socks or underpants with zips to stash your cash & cards when you're asleep or out of the house.

It sucks that OP's mum is a thief. I mean it, OP. Hit me up for a free Steam game from my Inventory. It might not be Overwatch, but it might help.

Alpha Industries Men's N-3B Slim-Fit Parka

Bought a M in the recent Amazon lightning sale, paid $70. Amazon is not letting me exchange for size S without paying regular price now. If anyone wants this jacket I'm willing to pass the deal along plus actual shipping to you and any Paypal fee.

I really like the athletic performance trunk from American Eagle, actually. They're really soft. If I had the money, my ass would be in Calvin Klein every day.

In general, I've heard good things about Aussiebum, 2(x)ist, and ExOfficio.

Don't get cotton. They won't work at all.

I went through MeUndies, Flint & Tinder, Target brand, everything. And the Calvin Klein Micro Modal Boxer Briefs changed my life. All in the modal material. I was wearing baggy boxer shorts until around 28-29 years old. It was not attractive to me and especially the girls I was seeing. Even though it was comfortable. Even though they're $30 for a pair of underwear, they're snug but not tight, and they don't ride up.

It was this one. I think it's regular.

Was going to say the same thing. I get mine off amazon

It depends on what it is that you're looking for. In terms of basic tee shirts, I cannot recommend these enough. Cheap AF too.

No show socks, fam. But you have to get the right ones. These are phenomenal. I spent like 26 bucks and got 12 pairs because I hate how socks look if I'm not wearing boots or a suit. Totally worth it any day, and they actually dont slide off my feet.

u/GANDHI_IS_MARCHING · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

It's not huge issue but it still looks weird. Have you ever owned CK modals?

If you are willing to go not as cheap, I think these are probably a better deal at $1.67 a pair for 80% cotton socks. The poly socks dry much faster but at some point stink permanently and then you gotta toss them whereas the cotton socks will last for years.
