Top Reddit comments about Face & Body Hair Depilatories:

u/tulip09 · 3 pointsr/TheGlowUp

(Part 2/2)

Face:

Foundation - Nars, Giorgio Armani, L'Oreal, and Elf cosmetics (Elf is one of the cheapest and best drugstore foundation out there!) have really good ones!!! ...If you want something that makes you glow, get a sheer coverage foundation ...apply primer under and then some liquid highlight before applying the foundation - trust me, you will glow!!!

Concealer - Nars is the best or you can even try another drugstore holy grail that is cheaper by Maybelline to hide scars, breakouts or dark circles.

Blush - Milani has some really good blushes! So does Sephora brand or Makeup Forever.

Highlighter - this will definitely make you glow whenever the light touches your face!!!! Hahah, MAC and Anastasia Beverley Hills has amazing highlights. Wet N Wild also has very cheap highlights for like $3-5 that are blindingly glowing if you spray some MAC fix plus on your brush and then go in with the highlighter!

Makeup tools:

Really good to have some starter ones to practice with and they make your makeup look better + you waste less makeup.

Elf cosmetics and Real Techniques has some amazing starter brushes... the eyeshadow brush set and the face brush set by Real Techniques is really good for the low price you make for it!

Perfume: Definitely go to Sephora and try out every one of them (sometimes Amazon has sales on luxury perfumes for less!).

Fashion: ASOS, Forever 21, Mango & Target has some really cute pieces of clothing. Check Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration!!! :)

Other: Get the men's Gillette razor has the other person mentioned!!! It is bomb! Haha... I use conditioner or coconut oil down there when I shave.... it's better than shaving cream and it prevents the itching and stuff! lol For legs, I use Nair Hair Remover Lotion (Amazon usually sells 3 a pack for like $15 - really cheap!!!) or Gilette shaving cream for women! Also, don't do this always ...it can damage your teeth, but once in awhile, it won't hurt your teeth... take baking soda and water, make a paste and brush your teeth with it... your teeth will have that instant whitening effect. Don't do this always, but you can definitely do this when you do to those fancy occasions and you gotta make your teeth look sparkling white! lol, works like a charm! :)

Hope that helps!

u/missfapulous · 2 pointsr/sex

Use this stuff. I have super sensitive skin too and I spray this on after I shave. I know there aren't any reviews on the website for it but it definitely works. Shavers play a big part too. I always use a schick intuition razor when I shave my lady bits and they do a really good job, like amazing imho. And lastly, when you shave, make sure you run the razor in the direction that the hair lays b/c that helps a ton with preventing razor bumps or ingrown hairs and what not. I hope this helps and I'm sorry for ranting on about it but for me it makes getting eating out that much more amazing. It feels beyond phenomenal when your lady bits are smooth as can be ;) Good luck!

u/nijoli · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

You did this? That is super amazing. I am always amazed when people can do such good job at something I know absolutely nothing about. Amazing!

Where was it filmed? It looks gorgeous and I am dying to know!

If I win, I would love the $6 Nair with free ship so my legs are smooth this Spring. <3

u/tehgreyghost · 7 pointsr/leagueoflegends

You just rinse but don't use it on the ACTUAL bits. Since you are using a chemical to dissolve the hair you do need to be careful.

Since the anus, and especially your actual genital skin, is rather sensitive you want to not hurt your self. Spread the nair in a thin is layer across the hair you wish to remove. Though the backdoor is a bit more resilient and it wont be bad if you get a little on the old rusty sheriffs badge . So it's more the front bits to worry about. As long as you are careful and follow the instructions exactly it's all good! :)

EDIT: Make sure to either buy an applicator or get some nitrile gloves to protect your hands. Also I have heard you can use it on your actual junk if you get the sensitive areas stuff, just don't leave it on for longer than instructed.

Also IF you can trim the hair first it helps as it makes the Nair not have to eat through so much hair.

Hey, hope you don't mind my comment. I am female and don't wax my chest, but I wax a lot of other places on my body.

over time, you get used to the waxing and even different professionals do it different and even what you ate before hand (and for women, where they are in their monthly cycle) can relate to the amount of pain you feel.

I will say a few things; if the hair is long and curly, waxing always hurts more. basically want the hair no more than .5 inches long.

Type of wax and technique really matters too. Some waxes just hurt more as they grab more skin. Babypowerder applied to the skin before wax can help keep the wax from sticking to the skin. It also takes away any moisture which messes up a wax.

The more you wax, it changes the hair growth. hair grows in stages, so the 2nd or 3rd time you wax, you might be actually only ripping out 1/2 the hair as the first time because only half of the hair was growing back at that time. Next time you wax, you are getting the other half. Also, waxing can encourage hair to start growing in one direction, so it is easier to pull out and only requires one pass instead of multiples.

I would also say, if you want to save some money, teach yourself to wax. I would recommend a product like Moom. You can find it online or in stores like Ulta.

http://www.amazon.com/Moom-Organic-Removal-6-Ounce-Package/dp/B0000691JH

It comes with fabric strips, but I recommend the parissa cloth strips more.

http://www.amazon.com/Parissa-Epilation-Strips-Large-Count/dp/B00A9I11WE/ref=sr_1_sc_15_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1457981105&sr=1-15-spell&keywords=parisa+wax

You can wash and resuse them.

I find that a glass of wine or beer before I wax really helps with the pain. Advil is good too.

Also, right after you rip the strip off, sometimes pressing on the area you just remove hair from seems to take away some of the pain.

You are in the same situation as me, Im not on hormones and i have thick long body hair, doing the same as you currently too, trying to find the best way to remove the hair.

Epilators are sometimes called "Electric Waxers" from what ive seen, but basically anywhere you can wax, you can epilate (So yes, all the places you said it should work).

Razors annoy me too, so ive been looking into other ways of removing it too. I just got some Nair today to try, but i was actually looking for Veet hair removal, as they have a special one designed for men, but i couldn't find it in the stores (But i found Nair, and it was half price so yay!)

Have you tried using off the shelf wax strips? they can be costly depending on what brand, i got Boots own ones for £2.94 (Again, half price sale though) yesterday, 20 re-usable strips (To an extent.. i was using them on very hair legs, it took 1 pack and 1/4 to do 90% of my legs). Worked very easily, you just rub them between your hands to warm them up and fold them back over and rub again between uses.

I haven't tried doing my chest yet however as since i may be getting hormones next month depending on how things go, i might get a full wax professionally to get rid of all the chest hair and back hair (As it is very long and thick) so it is easier for me to manage later.

> Guys, please check out the reviews for this shit on amazon. I'm dying laughing in my office!

For which product?

This was one for the NOW Foods psyllium husk capsules that got me to click "Add to Cart." It's by Maven Carraway:

>Quest For No-Wipe

> Recently I embarked on a journey for the holiest of holies. The holy grail of bowel movements, if you will: one which results in a "ghost wipe".
>
> A wise woman once said "Nothing is as overrated as sex, and as underrated as a good bowel movement."
>
> While I can't completely agree with that, I will say this: These pills are saving me tens of dollars every year on toilet paper.
>
> Tell me, human, does your day not seem brighter when you wipe, look at your toilet paper and realize it was a clean break?
>
> I take 4 in the morning and 4 at night with copious amounts of water and this seems to do the trick. Bravo, psyllium husk.

On that topic, I've yet to read customer reviews funnier than those for Veet for Men Hair Removal Gel Cream 200 ml on Amazon.co.uk.

u/JetQT · 1 pointr/funny

Put it on, wait for less than 10 minutes and then just wipe all the hair off while taking a shower. Perfect! Enjoy a butt without dingleberries and get monster farts for free!

u/H0YH0Y · 3 pointsr/malegrooming

5 years ago I went on a lads holiday, a friend recommend hair removal cream.

And i haven't looked back, apply a coat, sit on the bog for ten minutes then jump in the shower. The hair comes straight off. You'll feel so much cleaner and more comfortable.

I agree with the commenter below with the witch hazel right after you exfoliate, then follow with your anti bump product. I use and recommend one called Bikini Zone. Pretty inexpensive at the drugstore, and works well. I usually tell my clients to apply 2-3x a day for the first few days post wax depending on how prone they are to ingrowns.

Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/Bikini-Zone-Medicated-Creme-Area/dp/B001G7PZWY

If you can't find bikini zone, the salon/spa you are going to usually has a product they will recommend as there are tons of great ones out there right now.

I’m a WOC and I switch between Nair and threading. I used to be so against Nair for some reason but it’s super convenient and cheap! Your hair also doesn’t need to be a certain length for Nair which is really nice. One thing I’ve encountered with Nair is that with this it starts to lose efficacy after about six months, which is still not bad at all.

u/Flyberius · 28 pointsr/iamverybadass

Veet for men. Works really well.

Makes sure you test it on less sensitive areas before going near your arse or bell-end.

It takes about 5 minutes for the hair to disolve off and then you just scrape it off and hop in the shower. The feeling is amazing.

I recommend using a small mirror to ensure you don't napalm your arsehole. I got a little bit too close and there was an unpleasant sensation for about 10 seconds.

Is your skin usually sensitive to creams and products, or mainly just mechanical agitation like shaving/waxing sugaring? A good alternative to removing hair from the top of your vagina (NOT your lips) would be Nair bikini cream. Chemically removing hair always leaves you softer than shaving, because it doesn't cut the hairs like a trimmer or razor does. Cutting hairs leaves a blunt sharp end on the hairs that causes the stubbly feeling. I would try a patch test with the nair on say your arm to make sure you don't have a reaction to it first. If you do try it down there, again only use it on the top of your vagina on your public bone, stick to the trimmer for the outer labia.

u/quinnundine · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

Hi there! Gonna ask you a few simple questions to gauge exactly what would best fit you!

  • What is your routine with foundation as of right now?
  • What type of skin do you have? Oily? Dry? Combo?
  • Are you fair skilled? Darker skinned?
  • What finish would you be going for? Matte? Dewy?
  • Do you want/ need something full coverage or just something to even out your skin tone?

As for lighting, purchasing a lighted vanity mirror will do wonders!

I use a hair removal cream on my "lady stash" and between my eyebrows. It basically dissolved the fine hairs [burns them off]. It costs $6 and lasted me over 6 months. Works great as it's easy to use as long as you follow the directions [can't leave it in too long or take it off too fast].

I don't know about the safety part, but most hair removal items do not work for me. I do NOT have blonde baby fine hair so I've always assumed that was the issue. This is the only cream that has ever worked on any part of my body and it is usually highly recommended here. For whatever reason it only works on certain parts of my body. It does not work on my legs or armpits at all.

Saw a yt video of a guy saying that it didn't burn your skin, not even in the private parts and tried it out for myself. As long as you don't go over the 10min limit you're good.

The only problem i'm experiencing with it is that it doesn't quite work on the hairs on my sack, dunno why, all the rest is smooth soft heavenly peach :).

u/nomnommish · 26 pointsr/Unexpected

I first heard "meat and two veg" in this Amazon review of veet hair removal cream for men

> After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly succesful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit of a treat.
>
> I ordered it well in advance and working in the North sea I considerd myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen.
>
> I didn't have long to wait. At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the destruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling to not bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel of in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair.
>
> Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, tore the lid of and positioned it under me.
>
> The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing soon returned .Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the drawer for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon.I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so.I took a handful of them and tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse.
>
> This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found it's way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running it's engines behind me. This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain.
>
> The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before. unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering..." Ooooh that feels good ".
>
> Understandably this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involutary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction. I can understand that having a sprout farted against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status...So to sum it up Veet removes hair, dignity and self respect...:)

u/TheEmancipatedFart · 1 pointr/AskMen

Yes, there is Nair for men, but not every store will carry it. You can certainly buy it online, see http://www.amazon.com/Nair-Men-Hair-Removal-Cream/dp/B00HZ24I18/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450292048&sr=8-1&keywords=nair+for+men

If the store doesn't have Nair for men, you can just get the one for women...I've used it a few times and it works just the same, haven't noticed any real difference tbh.

If you're super duper hairy, use scissors first, then shave, or just use scissors, if you don't want it all off.

I can understand why they wouldn't include these reviews, but they're some of my favorites.

@OP. Use this stuff: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nads-Men-Hair-Removal-Cream/dp/B003JFJF5E/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1519005359&sr=8-1&keywords=nads+hair+remover
.
2 tips tho.
Apply with those disposable gloves. The ones you get 50 for £1 for. Cheap rubbish... but protects your hands.
Tip 2: After you see great pain free results on your legs and body... DO NOT apply to a unibrow if you have one. Some silly bitch did. I was that silly bitch. Scabbed it up for a week.
This stuff is fine for bodys tho.
Just apply it.. .leave it for 5 or 6 mins... then run down FIRM with a wet shammy. The hair all... disappears. Love this product whilst I await to get my laser booked in.

Oooh, I've had some success with Nads For Men

After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly succesful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit of a treat.
I ordered it well in advance and working in the North sea I considered myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was.
The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing soon returned .
Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the drawer for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon.I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so.I took a handful of them and tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse.

Ooooooohhh no! I forgot the most important part! Don't use it on your private area! I make sure it does not get on there, my nipples and I even avoid my underarms. If you want to read something hilarious, read this Amazon review from a guy that made that mistake. I was dying when I read it! Here it is, the 2nd one from the top:

Personally I still find a normal razor blade from Gillette or Wilkinson the best (after trimming), as I hate the idea of moving parts/blades down there. But if you've made up your mind already, then you might be better off checking out some of the women's products that are not all pink in color.

Bikini Zone? I apply it right after and then twice daily thereafter. If I'm strict about it, 0 ingrown hairs. Good luck! Smells slightly strange at first but I'm told it goes away (ahem). I don't know to deal with the old ones though, just know how to prevent new outbreaks..

Been using it for the last 4 years. Apply a generous amount to your fingers and just slop it around the hole or anywhere there's hair, count to 6 minutes or get a stop watch, wash off in shower with a cloth. Never had a single ingrown hair and stays completely smooth for atleast 2 months for me.

Use Magic shave for facial hair removal. I use to use it a lot because my hair is too coarse and thick to shave with a normal razor without getting a wicked rash and ingrown hairs. Now, I just use Andis clippers to shave instead. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000142OUY

Edit: also, start off with the Mild, if you do try it and always follow the directions

u/Nichalioh · 3 pointsr/shittyaskscience

I don't know, I recently trimmed and felt alot more.... friction down there after wiping and walking etc, especially when it's warm. I do not envy the man who veet-ed his butt crack, it burns my back let alone putting it anywhere else! These reviews are funny.

Sounds like being a woman...

Seriously though, have you tried Veet? It's a hair removal cream - no waxing pain, and lasts longer than shaving. There's even a men's version if you have issues with pink things.

A word of warning though: test it on your skin before using it! If you're going to react, best you find out before covering your whole body. Also, I recommend you learn to exfoliate of you're going to remove hair (by any means), or the regrowth could be hell.
